Had a family weekend getaway and the stag was amazing! Front desk staff Tracy in particular was very professional and pleasant! She made our stay very accommodating! Very clean rooms and the workout room was nice!

Very nice rooms and pool. Work out area was also nice. Would have given 5 stars but evening front desk staff was never available and made excuses once they were tracked down.

Great food, good prices. Recommend the Long Island Iced Teas. Good location, easy to get to. Much to do around downtown Dubuque.

Great staff, excellent food, clean room. The only issue I had was the refrigerator did not work. When I asked the front desk they informed me they keep them off and that if a guest wants to use it they must turn it on…

Tracy at the front desk was a wonderful person. Our breakfast servers were great also. Unfortunately I did not get their names. The woman had short dark hair and very slim and kid that was serving was very polite. And the breakfast was more than I could have asked for. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nicer than I expected. Clean rooms. Love the remodeling. Good casino and restaurants also. I would go again.

Convenient place for traveling to Dubuque for business. The hotel is currently being renovated so the rooms are getting to have an up-to-date look. The connected restaurant is not too bad and the casino is also attached for whom ever wants to give some money away.

Family weekend getaway and went skiing. We stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant stay. The staff was very attentive, pleasant, and friendly! The rooms were nice size, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The internet was good for the kids. The water pressure was great. Negatives: hard to control room temp — had to change temps up and down all night, bathroom sink very slow to drain. Hotel was under remodel but we didn't see a spec of dust! You could tell all 3rd floor rooms were brand new.

They are under going renovations at the moment! So kinda can't complain to much. The staff was very friendly. And was even willing to let us check out later then noon (It was during the snow strom we had. ) which was very very awsome of them to do that! I'm just hoping for better beds and pellows during the renovations!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the staff were courteous, polite and the atmosphere was wonderful. The room was clean, neat and bed even comfortable. Plenty of things to do within walking distance make this an easy choice.

Nice hotel, but they are remodeling. A bit loud, and our bed was WAY over due for replacement. Otherwise… 5 stars.

Hotel is completing renovations and everything looks great. Hotel is attached to Q casino which makes for a great time. Plenty of food choices. Stay is always super friendly… nice clean hotel.

Fun location near Casino. Was in town for holidays and commuted from hotel each day. Breakfast each morning was great and free as diamond members. I'm not sure I would have paid for breakfast, however, as I'm not a morning person. Room was simple but worked well. Refrigerator and microwave were in the room.

Clean rooms. Nice lobby area for hanging out. Only real issue is the smell from the casino, noticeable as soon as you walk through the door. 1 minute drive to ice rink. Walking path out back takes you to the river.

I usually stay at HGI when I travel. This one is tied to a casino. It is showing age and my room had broken fixtures and a generally run-down appearance, not the typical Hilton experience. The room was also significantly more expensive than other Hilton Garden Inns where I stay for business and family. The staff seemed untrained, except for the excellent restaurant food and service. This review is for a visit in June 2017.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Decent price. Beds were too firm and the pillows looked like throw pillows (12x12) in a pillow case. Bathroom had some mold on the walls, but overall, a decent hotel.

Rude staff, and they doubled charged my credit card. I called to get it fixed and was treated rudely again. No apology, and still not sure they have any idea what they did wrong. Not a "hold" but double charge, figure it out people.

Everyone was very helpful and professional. The room was absolutely clean and well prepared. Only disappointed breakfast not included in their lobby breakfast area.

Stayed for business travel. The hotel was professional, friendly, and helpful. Clean, attractive lobby. Nice rooms. Inside/tunnel access to the casino. Lots of great restaurants within a mile or two.

Great hotel in downtown Dubuque Iowa. Beds are nicely done. Attached casino and restaurant makes it convenient so you can take care of all your needs while you're there. Close to downtown.

Felicia at the front desk was fantastic! She was so sweet and helpful. We stayed in two different rooms due to booking with Hilton points and cash. The King Whirlpool Suite was a strange layout and the bed was extremely hard. Our second room, a King Suite, was very nice and the bed was much more comfortable. The hotel seems a bit dated, but overall clean and comfortable.

It's a very nice, clean establishment, and the staff is good. However, for the price it seems to lack what you expect out of a Hilton. Continental breakfast is served at outrageous price as well as the other breakfast they serve with small portions. There were also no safes in the room which seemed odd especially since its next to a casino.

Rooms were nice. It was a pretty typical hotel really. Front desk was accommodating if we needed anything. Pool wasn't anything special, but it was still very nice to have available.

This is the 4nd time we have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn next to Mistique Casino when we checked in the desk help was not real friendly. The room was nice but we could hear the people in the next room talking and carrying on past 1am asked to move rooms but they were booked and the next morning the maid let herself in our room at 9 am… check out time is 11. Our last visit the bathroom had dark hair on the floor and in the tub, gross. Not satisfied with the visit to say the least, thinking we may start going elsewhere.

I really enjoyed my lunch at Houlihans. My lunch scallops, risotto, & arugula were delicious. The menu has many fresh, exciting options.

This hotel is connected to a fantastic restaurant and the casino. I was happy enough with my stay that I do plan to stay here again. Much better experience than the Hampton Inn. If you're looking for the best Hilton property in Dubuque, hands down this is the place.

It was a pretty nice stay overall. Rooms localation were really nice. The only problem with the room we had were the walls being paper thin. We had a couple in the room next to us fighting with each other throughout the whole night and using quite a few explicatives. Service was good as well.

We ended up here by surprise during a snowstorm and it was exactly what we needed. Nice clean room at a reasonable price, and the casino was a good bonus.

We paid $155 for a two queen room. Had to park more than a block away, front desk didn't tell us there was ample parking in the back. Must not have told any one, at 6am the next morning we looked out and no one was parked there. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom and there were dirty spots on the walls. The room was generally very small. Most importantly, the beds were hard. My back felt like someone drove a spike right through the middle when I woke. I mainly stay in super 8 and clarion type hotels all week long, so it was a disappointment that I spend this much on a hotel and it is not much better than a $40 room. It had the same amenities. The lobby was pretty, though, I do not spend more than 7 minutes of my stay in the lobby. The pool was nothing to scream at, the water temp was cool. I am disappointed that I didn't find any where near the value I was charged and will probably not spend my money on Hilton in the future when looking for a Nice hotel.

The wife and I stayed there last year. We had an awesome time hotel, casino, restaurants, and a dog track, all indoors.

Was really happy and very satisfied with the room, the employees and the accomodations. The desk clerk would go to the extreme to make your accomodations comfortable. The room was plush and very comfortable bed. The only thing I think should change is more television stations. The employees would always greet with a good morning, or would ask if everything meets your needs.

Don't stay in room 113 there was a loud sound like a motor running like a water pump or a loud refrigerator and it kept me all night and there was a air condition vent outside and that was loud too.

Where to begin. The breakfast is easily the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. Even the coffee was terrible! It actually tasted like plastic. If you plan on doing any business on the Internet, forget it! The Internet speed is a joke. I couldn't accomplish half of what I needed to do in-between meetings since I had to use the web for some pretty basic tasks. The beds are nice. I will give them credit for that. Don't stay in room 216. If you're like me and get easily woken up by sunlight, the curtains don't close all the way and you get the sun shining right on your face at sunrise. I will not be staying here again.

Stayed over the weekend while there for a race. Ok for a quick stay and has all the amenities. Pros: nice location, good restaurant on site (get the free breakfast combo if you can) and Houlihans for dinner Cons: very thin walls. I was woken up by the kids next room and screaming down the hall way.
