Nice place to stay, clean room and comfortable bedding. The shower had good pressure and was hot. My only complaint which is somewhat major for me, since it was summertime we needed to use the air conditioning which worked well and quickly. Yet, it rattled so loudly that when we were trying to sleep, it was nearly impossible. We finally fell asleep after eventually turning it off, only to be awoken in the middle of the night to it being hot in the room again. We couldn't win as the noise was truly disruptive, but equally was the heat. We even tried making it cold then turning it off and setting a timer to turn back on so that we could already be asleep when it turned back on, but then the noise woke us up! This might be just a single room so I'm sure others would have a better experience, although I can't give it a high mark because of this air conditioning hassle.

Got a king bed with microwave and fridge. All were working as intended and we're clean. The bed was heavenly! Never woke once and didn't want to get out of it! Pillows were unusually soft and did not pack down.

Clean room and hot water. Beds were good enough to sleep on but a little uncomfortable. No soap in the bathroom.

Pretty straight foreward, easy check in. Location was convinient for me, as my vehicle broke down near by. Room was clean and nice. I liked the carpeting.

Booked a room here at the last minute while traveling due to bad weather. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfy. They are also pet — friendly and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed in vandalia Ramada inn and the room was horrible! No clean towels. Was dirty towels left in room from last customer. Half the lights didnt work. 1/2 roll of toilet paper for 2 of us for two days, no coffee,

We stayed here on our way to Florida and the room was ok. Breakfast ok. So we decided to stay here on our way back. Reserved a king bed. Went to our room: opened the door to someone already in there! Back downstairs to get a different room: someone was in that room too! Now I’m getting disgusted as we Traveled over 12 hours that day and here I am going up and down the stairs! She finally said well you can have this king sized bed at No extra charge! I told her that is what we booked! I asked her to call the room before she sends me back up there as I didnt want to walk in to anyone else! She said this room was all cleaned and clear that day by 3 o’clock. We go in the room and the bed was made but Looked like someone had rolled in it. There was a used towel in the bathroom and a jug of milk in the frig! If it wasn’t so late and we weren’t so tired I would have left. She then finds us another king sized room that we had her check it out with us. Did find little things that were not cleaned but let it go. It really bothered me how they could be so lax in giving out keys to rooms that were already occupied! Definelty poorly managed and needs updates throughout the place. Cleaning people really need to be better trained.

I reserved a queen room with 2 queen beds online. When went into my room it was clearly not a queen room and the beds were definitely NOT queen beds. When I called the front desk and asked them to verify the room I was placed in they said it was a double room with 2 double beds. The only thing she said was “I don’t know why she put you in there. The room stinks really bad and the beds look as if someone just rolled out of them. When I turned on the TV the only thing that showed up was a blue screen. I am not happy with my stay. If it was not so late when I arrived after a long long day on the road I would of made arrangements at a different hotel.

Amazing place rooms were clean and beds are awesome! Breakfast is decent. Staff is very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

The Vandalia Ramada was great. Professional staff and clean rooms! Would resume d to anyone staying in Vandalia.

Best place to stay. Beds were soft and comfortable. Room was clean. Easy to get to I 70. Would recomend the hotel.

It is clean and quiet. A perfectly functional place to rest your head overnight. Cribs available.

Room was ok. I found that 2 of the towels in our room were either not cleaned or stained. They had what looked like foundation makeup on them. Hallways and stairwells were almost too hot to even walk through. Breakfast wasn't stocked well.

Decent hotel. Nothing spectacular, but no problems. Nice pool. Note that there is no elevator.

I don't often write reviews, but this one is necessary. In trying to drive home from the eclipse 2017 all the hotels were booked and traffic was insane. I am thankful that this Ramada had an open room available, and booked and paid for it over the phone. Upon checking in an hour later, the front desk woman could not find my information, after showing her my credit card authorization she came across my reservation with my last name misspelled, which is why it was so difficult to find. Then I was told instead of the 2 dbl bed room I booked, she has a single king available. I expressed concern because the woman on the phone made it clear I reserved the last room available, and I was incredibly tired and just wanted to sleep. She give me the room key to the king room, while on the phone, my room (the 2 dbl beds) is promised to another guest on their way. My room key doesnt work. The make me another one. I open the king bed room only to be yelled at because its ALREADY OCCUPIED by someone who's sleeping! So uncomfortable! I was understanding and told the front desk what happened and asked for my original room back, and I got blank stares in return. I made it clear that I have already purchased this room and it's not my problem they had promised it to another. I understand that they were under extreme circumstances with the outpouring of people looking for a hotel due to the traffic, but this was insanity.

Came in late and left as soon as we woke up, but things were fairly standard for a hotel. I know they washed the comforter as it was still very slightly damp. Bed was, nevertheless, very comfortable. Breakfast was basic, but acceptable.

Do not stay at this hotel. I was ripped off for an extra room because the reservations I made were not kept. They let another person stay in the room I had reserved and charged me for 2 rooms instead of the one I had reserved when it was their fault they couldn't accommodate me. They will take your money and not give it back. I even have the receipts to show they were not supposed to charge me for it and the general manager still charged me for it. Worst customer service I have ever witnessed!

Clean comfortable hotel! Staff was super friendly and the pool is clean! Good place to stay at reasonable rate of you don't need all of the fancy stuff!

Mauled the night shift manager was amazing. She helped me find a coupon for my stay and was a delight. She deserves her own hotel. It was clean and quiet here too!

Arrived at front desk to check in and man quoted me a lower price than I paid through priceline. I was delighted and confirmed with him the quote was correct, he verified, then I chose to stay two nights at the reduced rate. Swiped my card to seal the deal and proceeded to my 2nd floor room. I arrived to the entry door, which was not secured, and proceeded up a very filthy stairwell to the second floor — insects were visible at all corners, the walls, and ceiling — I assumed from the door being left open. Headed to my room via a nice hallway. Entered my room and was hit with very musty atmoshere so proceeded to crank up the a/c. Put down my bags and looked around to see filthy carpets and all surfaces were dusty. Also discovered the bathroom fan did not work, thus the mustiness in the air. The room phone rang and I answered to a lady who immediately began a conversation about the room rate needing changed. I told her I was just quoted and charged for a different rate than priceline quoted (I prepaid priceline for a single night already). She raised her voice and repeated her demand that the room be charged at the priceline rate. I told her that was fine but the second night I would only pay the offered and transacted reduced room rate. She would not let me speak. She continued to talk over me and raised her voice incrementally.

Nice for a random stop. My only complaint is the ac is abit loud but you run that risk whenever you travel in summer. Then the cleaning crew was talking loudly at nine in the morning and we were hoping to sleep in a bit more since it was about 1am before we pulled over to sleep. Overall not my favorite but Ramada is still on my list of hotels I will sleep at in random places when traveling.

The room was very clean, there is a microwave, coffeemaker and refrigerator in the room, and there are plenty of towels to shower with and all. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful, they had a nice variety of things. Fruit, waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, toast, you name it, they probably had it! The people at the front were very polite and overall my fiancée and I feel this hotel deserves five stars!

Room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and polite. Breakfast was great. They are close to shopping and dining options. In all, a GREAT place to stay.

This is the most disgusting room I have ever been in. There is spider webs everywhere WITH SPIDERS IN THEM, other peoples dirty socks still in here, and they dont vacuum, and have cockroaches in the rooms. My girlfriend and I went to the front desk and asked if they give discounts for cockroaches and spider webs and other peoples dirty socks because these rooms are supposed to be cleaned by people that work here and not the customers who last stayed in the room, and she said no and blew it off. Never again will we pay the price they're asking for considering the condition of these rooms! Now I see why the Holiday Inn right across the street is booked and the Ramada is empty. This place got too many good reviews that it does not deserve. If I were you I would keep driving down the road until you find another Hotel. And if somebody sits here and wrote this long of a review there's a serious problem.

This is the worst place to go. My boyfriend and I got into our room and at first when you walk into the front it's seems like a nice old time setting. You get into the room and at a glance they seem clean and confortable. We set our things down and once we turned around there was a cockroach running around on our night stand. We go down to the front desk to let them know and they just brushed it off. We come back up stairs to thoroughly check our room, and had found spider webs with spiders in them within every corner of the room. There was someone's sock left behind in one of dressers. It was one of the most disgusting places I have ever been in and will never spend the night at ANY of the Ramada hotel in my life.

This is fucking awesome love it I like to swim in the pool.

We checked in @ 2 in the morning, there was this very nice and professional woman wroking, she made my stay awesome and simple! The facility is so cozy, and there wasn't that foul hotel/motel oder! My husband, my daughter, myself and our dog all loved it! Not to mention a very nice room (big, clean, microwave, fridge, more than enough towels! ) With our pitbull all for under 100 a night! Would certainly stay at this establishment again.

Nice rooms, clean, comfortable, well priced.

Price was really good, the staff were ok, the room was clean, and no stinky smell. It's also a good spot for truckers (saw many of them). The breakfast was pretty good. The only con for me was that the blanket wasn't thick enough so it was a bit chilly. I would def stay here again.
