I would recommend this hotel if it weren't for a very unpleasant receptionist. There was a bball tournament and many teens staying at this hotel. Nancy, the receptionist, kicked our girls out of the front because they were quietly laughing, kicked them out of the pool because apparently there has to be one adult per three teens, kicked them out of the whirlpool because there should only be 4 in there, accused them of going through the breakfast room cupboards twice (which they weren't) and told them before she kicked them out of the pool that they can't laugh. These girls are very well behaved and had an adult with them. Nancy needs to either be put in a different position where she doesn't have to deal with people or she needs to find a job that doesn't require being a hostess.

Very pleasant staff at check-in. Clean and spacious room. Nice seating area in room to just relax and read. Pool and hot tub open till midnight.

This hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. Conveniently located.

I stayed for 3 days they tossed my notes for a sermon and took my 4.00 in loose change for the vending machine very rude.

Night clerk was not too friendly. Other than that, had a wonderful stay. All other staff was awesome! Thanks to all.

We stayed here 7/7/18. I tried washing some heavy dog bedding & the wash cycle didn't work out (ended up being user error/2nd load worked). The super nice lady at the front desk offered to do it for me. It was very late & I was so tired. She solved my problem & for that, I'm so appreciative. All the staff were very friendly in the morning too. Five stars for the excellent customer service.

Great location right by the outlet mall and interstate. Nice clean room with mini fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Very polite and friendly staff with a tasty breakfast buffet.

The rooms are nice and spacious, the breakfast was really nice. The pool was pretty good, in the hot tub is really nice. I really enjoyed my stay, the pillows were super soft. And the breakfast was really really good, the automatic pancake maker was something I have not seen before and I really liked.

I stayed there with my sports team and it was very comfy. Didn't have any problems.

The General Manager is awesome there. Friendly, courteous, and very fair. I come there to Tuscola very often and that’s where I stay. It’s clean, neat, and they even serve freshly baked cookies in the early evening.

The people were kind, room was clean, and breakfast was yummy.

Good location and great service. We ended up having to use this hotel during an unplanned vehicle repair while traveling. The staff were remarkably accomodating and the hotel was clean, quiet and well maintained. Will consider staying here again when traveling in this area next time (hopefully on purpose next time).

Decent rooms and very good customer service, but the breakfast is processed food and below average.

Charged $150 smoking fee even though no one smoked in there. I told the manager that I do not smoke and she called me a liar. Very unprofessional.

We have stayed here several times after discovering this hotel by accident. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are well kept and very clean (I am pretty particular about cleanliness). The grounds are nice. It is convenient to I 57. Most importantly they are pet friendly. We consider this a privilege and are very cautious with our pets (not leaving them alone, cleaning up outside after them, and mindful of them in the room). Overall, this is a very nice hotel and we plan our trips so we can stay here.

We stay here frequently. Always have friendly staff. We did have an issue one time with a room smelling like smoke but the staff fixed it. They have warm breakfast every morning.

We had a great experience with this hotel. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are extremely clean. We were travelling through late at night and the front desk lady was very polite and helpful. This hotel also had a parking lot large enough for my big pickup truck with travel trailer.

We've been staying here every Easter for the past few years. Everyone is so entirely friendly. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. Very Very clean. The pool area is clean always has towels available. I love the outlet mall. Many food places around. It's a great area, and a great place. I love it!

It's an average HI Express next door to the Tuscola Prime Outlets. There's not much else nearby other than route 57. Service was average. Breakfast was average. Rooms were average.

The location was great. Right off the highway and easy to get too. Check-in was simple, and they were able to accommodate my request for a different floor and room type, even though I booked through a third party vendor. Despite the closeness to the highway, I couldn't hear any road noise, which was a huge plus. The bed was super comfy and I like how they had two types of pillows on the bed so you could pick between soft, form, or one of each. The sheets were quite soft as well, which is a big deal for me. I like the bathroom, and how the shower and toilet were separate from the sink and mirror, rear way I didn't have to worry about a fogged up mirror after showering. They use the curved shower curtain rods, which allows for more room while taking a shower. The water pressure was awesome, and it stayed hot for a long time. The only issue I had was that there didn't seem to be enough shelf space in the shower for bottles, etc… They use Bath and Body Works toiletries, which worked out since I forgot my lotion. That is the brand I use primarily, so I didn't have to worry about running out in the middle of the night to find something that may make me break out. Other than the shelving space, the room was spacious, comfortable, and I enjoyed my overall stay.

We spent the night with you last night, and enjoyed the nice room, comfortable bed, and food. We are platinum members and travel with our st. Bernard, it was refreshing to be so welcomed. The desk lady, and housekeeping were so kind to our furry family member. We appreciate this holiday inn.

Before I could shower had to pull the stopper and pull out a mess of hair to get the water to drain.

I stay in a Holiday Inn Express at least once a week while traveling. By far the most uncomfortable. In my one night, I killed 2 spiders, found a soaking wet wash cloth in my bath tub from the previously night and a used hand towel that had hairs from shaving on it. I told the front desk about these towels and she exchanged them. As I returned to my room with new towels I saw they had make up on them. Make up that I could easily get out of my towels by washing them. The tile floors were grimy and sticky. The room I stayed in looked like it needed to be renovated. This is my second time staying here and I will not be staying here again. Friendly staff just needs their maids to clean and not leave used towels for new guests.

This hotel smells bad. I checked in and they had over booked and gave the room I reserved away and they had only one room left. After I got up to my room as soon as I opened the door the smell of smoke hit like a wall. The room number plate clearly said no smoking and I saw that there were two ash trays in the NON SMOKING room. They had no more rooms available and I got sick from the smell. The staff didnt seem to care at all and just said that it was ok for people to smoke there.

Nice staff and it was a clean hotel, they had just finished cleaning the carpet in our room when we got there and it was very slippery walking from carpet to tile floor. Even with the few people staying there it was noisy and you can hear the noise from the highway if your room is on that side of the hotel. The hot tub was ok a bit small but other wise in good shape. The pool is small and not heated and the water was not clear and not sure what kind of chlorine they used but it bleached out the cotton part of my swim suite. I would say it is the best place to stay in Tuscola and it was right across the street form the outlet mall which is huge plus since we went shopping there but I think next time I will go the extra 10 miles and try the new place down the road.

Tough call, this one — for the size of the town, it's probably the best available. Friendly staff, nice breakfast and clean, modern rooms — but with no frig or microwave, a drag for me as a longer-stay business traveler. Side door wouldn't read my card after 12 tries and front desk said problem was with my patience, not with the door, although when she recoded my card it worked with no more problems. Toilet backed up and fire alarm test was conducted during day when I desperately needed to sleep. Not upset, but definitely not thrilled.
