Place will ripp you off. And refuse to refund even though it was prepaid in full. And try to double charge you when checking in, even though you didn't use the room, then lie to another company (booking) saying you checked out at 7am the next day, when you checked out day prior.

We were there for hockey. We had two rooms. They allowed People to sit outside their room with a boom box and drink and party all night long. Fri and Sat People screamed, slammed doors and partied until 3am. It was the worst experience we have ever had in a Hotel. Nightmare.

Rooms were very nice quiet & clean!

Charged my acct after they did not have my reservation and I had to find a new place to stay. Try to blame it on booking. Com. Will be taking legal action considering this is illegal! tried twice to call to a manager but they dont have his schedule! ha really you would think they would be having him call me!

Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help me when I forgot my toothpaste at home (somehow managed to remember the toothbrush though! ). They were out in the lobby but the person on duty waited until his shift ended and drove 15 minutes to get more just so I would have some. That's over the top service. Be could have just apologized for being out. Breakfast was very good and a great variety. More than most BW offer. I will absolutely stay here next time I'm in the area.

No stars if that was a choice. I needed to check out a day early and got a story that I could not without being charged for my stay because I was within the 24 hour window of making a reservation. I honored my reservation of for the first night but have never heard of a rolling reservation clock where you could never check out early. In addition the room smelled and the dining area for the complimentary breakfast was the size of a typical bedroom. Thank goodness for a Hilton employee at another hotel that dealt with the situation and had charges reversed.

My husband and I stayed here for work. No customer service at all. Man who said he was the owner at the front desk did not greet nor share the amenities of this hotel at check in. We discovered the pool and a pretty decent fitness center on our own. Maybe he was having a bad day, but he was rude and not very concerned that he had guests arrive and hand over a credit card. We travel a lot and (especially) the owner operated hotels are usually very nice. No wake up call because he left and when we came back to ask, the office was vacant. There are several markets and fast food nearby. There are also better hotels close by!

This is an old property, with aged décor and a tiny bathroom. The room seemed quite clean and no odor problems. The mattress was very uncomfortable for me. Breakfast was hot, but merely adequate. The breakfast area was tiny, and a few people in there made it very crowded. Room TV was good and channel selection was good. Look… its an old property — expectations should be low for such a place.

This property is in a great location near downtown St Charles. The rooms were clean and spite of having some age on the property. My only complaint was the lighting outside my room came into my room to easily. They need blackout curtains so you can sleep in if you like. Free breakfast was a little sketchy but overall the stay was fine for the money.

The room tried to be a nicer one competing with upper quality hotels, but it was a little dated. The bed was comfortable, but sleep was interrupted because of the noise from the parking lot as these are outdoor entrance rooms. Coffee maker in the room was like drinking water. Tiny breakfast bar area. Don't plan to eat there if may others decide to eat at the same time. Was not a great value for the money.

This is a nice little place. Bit of the interior/interior design is a bit older but it’s VERY clean and the important stuff is newer (wallpaper and older door hardware in the bathroom but then nice beddings, towels, and counter tops). Even got my room upgraded just because the guy on the phone had to ask me my card number a few times (because there were people in room and he couldn’t focus). Which didn’t really even bother me in the first place. Also. They have really cute napkins in the breakfast area haha.

Easy access handicap parking good service and close to food and shopping.

Terrible place for what you pay. Looks more like a cheap motel than a hotel like other Best Western Hotels. Unfriendly staff, especially the management at the desk. Will never stay there again.

Motel-style setup. Expect about that kind of experience. Everything is at least average. The glassed-in fitness center is a nice plus. Breakfast is the usual continental without the eggs and sausage/bacon and the seating is a tight, inconvenient arrangement. Rooms were quiet with only occasional interruptions as guests naturally came and went. Overall, a good experience; just not enough for 5 stars.

St. Charles in general is a dull place, so I wasn't expecting much, but it wasn't too bad. Room was clean, and hotel was quiet, although I wasn't able to go to breakfast so I don't know how that stuff was. In general I think this is a good hotel for when you have business to attend to elswhere in the area.

Great value! Very clean, nice employees and excellent location. Enjoyed our stay there. Just be aware there is no elevator.

A three star hotel with a superior breakfast presentation worth an extra star. Most travelers would give two stars here because the curtains and the window screens were a bit weathered, but Journey Joe does not care about such details. The room was quite clean and spacious, however the heater did not work well and there was no extra blanket in the closet. But the breakfast was worth the money; They had everything there, it was all hot, it was all fresh, it was all good. This was my second stay here and I'd stay again.

Not the best at cleaning, had food crumbs on the bed after they "cleaned" the room. Wonder what else is half assed.

This hotel is the most strangest I've ever been too. They clean in the middle of the night (vacuum). One of the staff was being a stalker starring at my co workers from the window for over 20 min. (i even took a picture, but should of took a video) management didn't care about any of this. And to top it off I was showering and one of the house keeper (i never called) came inside and was just standing in the room and as soon as I walked out he panic and ran out the room without saying one word. Management laughed at the story.

Good business location for western suburbs. Quite clean and right downtown for good dining.

Hotel is nice, clean and a good value. Be aware there is no elevator that we found & there are 2 floors. If you can't do stairs you should request a 1st floor room. Also the breakfast was ok but the area was very cramped.

This is an older hotel, but it was clean and I feel I definitely got what I expected for the price. The staff was nice and very accommodating. The breakfast had many choices and the fruit was nice as well. The staff continually made sure everything was full. We had trouble with the TV and they sent someone down immediately to fix it. We were in town for a wedding and we enjoyed our stay.

Very clean place, the staff was more than accommodating, I believe it is family-owned judging by the way the staff interacted with each other which was a nice Personal Touch. I overslept due to being from a different time zone and they were forgiving and did not charge me for an extra day. My only complaint, which was completely out of their control, was a lack of parking spaces, but obviously way more people were parked there than they had rooms for, so that wasn't really a big deal, plus I was able to just park in a neighboring parking lot and I didn't get towed or ticketed.

The room was clean but otherwise the experience was pretty bad. The accommodations have exterior entrances, which is what it is. However, there were other guests at the hotel outside being unreasonably loud for the hour. We called to the front desk twice to request that something be done. After no improvement we called a third time to inform them we were checking out after being in our room for 1.5 hours (10:30 pm — 12 am after a wedding in the area). The hotel would not refund our payment even though they were responsible, in part, for our leaving.

Received a phone call in middle of day of check in. Hotel staff was asking if I was still coming to the hotel? I said yes but as explained on reservation I was travelling with a group on motorcycles from Toronto to St Charles Illinois and check in was late. It was only 2:00pm at this time and we still had miles to go. He said he'd have to charge card on file for all rooms which I had reserved. I said card on my file was to hold rooms and each individual riding with me would check in on arrival. When we arrived charges were already done on my card and rooms we had requested on ground floor were given out earlier. Never happened before at any hotel and we travel as a group multiple times a year.

Not bad for how cheap it is. Outdoor pool is okay. Nice renovations and paint jobs since last time I was here since 6 years ago.

This is an older Best Western, but still clean and serviceable. There's an outdoor pool, mini workout room, and free breakfast. I didn't see any elevators for the second floor though.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Our visit started out ok. We arrived earlier than expected, and were greeted by the staff. We were given our room keys, but told to wait an hour or so until the room was cleaned. No problem. Our room ended up not being ready until the actual check-in time. Again, no problem. Initially our room was adequate. We didn't notice anything of concern. We quickly readied for a wedding, and left. Later that night, when turning the bed down, I found the sheets were wet. We called the front desk and she came to the room immediately. That is when our stay turned sour. The lady did apologize saying there wasn't another free room to move us to, but they would change the sheets, and left to gather them. While waiting, my husband stripped the bed to find the underneath of the comforter damp with yellow stains present. The plastic mattress cover was wet and everything had a strong urine odor. I phoned the front desk to make sure they understood, they need to disinfect this mattress, not just change the sheets. She said she would come to our room. Now we have 2 employees, and I asked them to smell the sheets. They wouldn't, and from that moment on, they only conversed in their native language. They didn't disinfect the mattress, just wiped off with a dry towel. They were put out because we expected them to make the bed. They had planned on just handing us the sheets! Mind you, it is now 11:35 pm. Our choice would be to pack and go to another hotel.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS bEING 70 YEARS OLD-I am really pleased when I find a property where you can drive right up to your room and its about 10 steps to unload and be in your room. These are usually older properties and you sometimes wonder about the room itself. The BW in St Charles at least as far as my room went is completely updated including a much newer bed that I slept as well as if I were in my own bed. An a very clean nicely appointed room.

Coming from a Starwood/Marriott employee we had a great lodging experience! Booked here because we needed to attend a wedding in Geneva, IL. Our original room block at Hampton Inns was sold out. Our room was immaculate and was given a quiet corner King. We had to share a king because they were sold out but that was not a problem. Mom and I were very happy with our stay! For the price and amenities it was very reasonable. I definitely recommend this property to future guests even if you just need to stay for a night. Also, breakfast was on point and I wish we could have stayed a few more nights to enjoy the pool! 5 STARS Best Western!

Room was clean and AC worked great. The location was great because there was a fantastic breakfast place right next door… Their vending machines are super outdated and did not take card. Also, there was no water in the vending machines and none given as part of the room. This was troubling because the nearest convenience store was about a mile away.

Very welcoming and the staff was very helpful.

The non-smoking room smells of smoke, the bedspread has cigarette burns in it, walls are obviously patched, and a very poor and cheap job of trying to upgrade was done. The tub faucet pulls out of the wall and they left the "new" sticker on the toilet. To top it off on a 90+ degree day, the AC was not on and the fridge did not get cold. At least they had ice. I'm not impressed and it's worth spending a little more to stay some where I feel is comfortable and clean. Look elsewhere!

We went to best western at st charles at chicago. Everything was nice. The room is big and the breakfast was good. The staff was very pleasant to customers. The only problem was that the water in the room was not turning hot.

All went well. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Up to date. The service was just okay… I had a hard time getting a "good morning" out of the desk clerk who seemed overly concerned about something on his phone, and then looked at me suspiciously. At the breakfast counter they had those fantastic waffles.

Nice and clean. Breakfast was just ok. We would stay again when coming to town.

Situated beautifully to take in the beauty of downtown and the river by a short run after a long day, Best Western in St Charles is a great use of your money. Although the fitness center is outdated, the breakfast is fabulous and the cleanliness of the grounds and room are exceptional. Mr Patel and his staff assure a very comfortable stay with high-quality linens, heating/cooling, great appliances for longer stays like mine as I've moved to the state waiting for our new home to close. I highly recommend it.

Had a great experience here. Arpit, was welcoming and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a clean, and inexpensive room close to town.

Clean rooms. Kids loved it. Staff friendly. Front desk was flawless. Julia got our baby to stop crying. Is she for hire. Lol thanks guys back soon.

Booked online apr. 28 received my confirmationI. When there on may 3 NO ROOM. Check with manager said I had no room for that night but was charged for a room on april 28 and they check me out on april 29. I booked it online and when putting in the information I when back to a other page and THEIR program changed my dates so I HAD TO PAY for the room I did not used and it was my fault I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN! be very careful this may. Happen to you. I also call the main office and received no help.
