So, when you walk in it looks cool. However, the whole place smelled like mold, there was mold in the bathrooms by the pool, and the wall in the elevator literally moved when my daughter leaned on it. I was moved here because where I booked was overbooked, and was willing to deal with all this and the crappy showers, the fact my family had to be moved and doors replaced because they wouldn't unlock, there were no comforters on the bed, and half of us had to hot water. However, what I could not deal with was them charging me $50 because they claim I smoked in their rooms. No proof, nothing found in the room, and I know this because we did not smoke because my husband JUST quit smoking! Vapor cigs yes, but smoking NO! So aside from a crappy hotel, the staff is apparently dishonest or crazy.

I booked through Priceline but not able to post a review there. The room is musty smelling. The bath and sheets are clean but the carpet and mattresses are questionable. No bedspread or comforter on the bed. The blankets are quite ancient. I remember having blankets (cheap, polyester fabric) like these in the 1970s which these are probably that old. Wi-fi is no good, when it did connect it was excruciatingly slow. When I went to call the desk about this I found that the phone was not connected. The TV is small and old as well. $9 for breakfast buffet for the same reheated eggs, potatoes, etc. You get from most hotels complimentary. There was free coffee available. The after hours entry was open. There is a card reader on the door but it is disabled. On a positive we checked out after one night and were only charged for that. Moved to the Ramada across the street and are quite comfortable on the bedding from this century, using the Wi-fi and watching a new tv.

This place is a huge part of just about every person in the Quad City area. This place used to be alive and charming. Fires always roaring in huge fireplaces in the library and bar. Real plants and flowers in the pots and planters. It was clean and full of life. This is where people went to propose, celebrate, find romance and have a truly unique experience. Over the years this place feels more like a really bad funeral home. My husband decided to drag me in last night 12/7 at 8:00 to stop at the bar and sit by the fire. What was once a place filled to the brim with people had a mere 2 people eating dinner. The bar had 4. No fires going. Fake terrible looking plants in planters if any at all. Dirty. Dingy. The lights above the massive framed paintings all turned off. They would only highlight the dirt if they were on. The cool gas lights outside not lit. All the fabric in the seating worn, torn, and dirty. It appeared as though some kind of Party had taken place since they were cleaning up. Not a sole decided to stay after though, which says a lot I think. It really breaks my heart and angers me to see this place in such a terrible state. Who ever owns this place should be ashamed of themselves. Given the lack of care in details such as cleaning and ambiance I would never think of eating here. If this place was brought back to its original glory the people would definitely come back. But in this condition avoid like a plague you just might find one as it is now.
