After having a horrible experience at another hotel, Jessica at the Hilton gardens was quick to accommodate us and get us into a very nice room ASAP. When we arrived we were greeted by warm and kind smiles from Jessica and Kathleen! After we were checked in and got to our room, where we were all in aww when we opened the door to see the beautiful room, we got the kids ready for the pool. We had soft clean pool towels. The pool was at a perfect temperature and the hot tub has awesome jets for the lower back! The kids had a blast in the pool house. The front desk staff we spoke to were all so nice and attentive. The coffee and cookies were a perfect comfort after everything that day. The housekeeping staff were working so hard to keep this establishment tip top shape. I could go on and on about the most wonderful experience we had! We will definitely be returning and recommending all our friends and family to the Hilton garden inn in Kankakee! Thank you all so much.

Me and my husband spent our wedding night in a suite here. The room was beautiful. The hotel also gave us an extra 7 hours in the suite as a wedding gift. It is much appreciated. This is the best hotel around us in Kankakee County. Thank you! 5 stars!

Great customer service. Beth that works the front desk was awesome!, very clean rooms, and well maintained pool and hot tub area. Next time we are in the area we will definitely being staying here again.

We had some minor car trouble and had to find a place to stay last minute.
Dawn did an incredible job of making us feel better after waiting on a tow truck for 2 hours. What a great, friendly personality to make a rough night so much better! Our clean room and breakfast buffet make this a perfect experience. Thanks Dawn and Hilton!

Excellent place to stay. The facilities were in top condition. The room was more comfortable than your typical motel room. Large, the chairs were comfortable as were the beds. Plenty of plush pillows. The staff were friendly and courteous. We had a package deal which included their hot breakfast. The hostess was a true hostess equivalent to a high end restaurant. We would definitely stay there again.

Been here a few times for the restraraunt and convention center. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. But they always seemed overwhelmed. And very slow. Other than that the food was always very good and rooms were clean.

Far and away the best hotel in town, and worth driving past the city and backtracking. Friendly, great breakfast bar, hot tub and pool. Not as meticulously clean as the Fairfield, about the same as the Holiday Inn.

The front desk is super friendly and makes you feel at home. My room was clean and stocked. The restaurant served up some exceptional dishes with great service. Hotel was easy to navigate and had a great workout center with a pool and hot tub to relax in afterwards right next door. Would definitely recommend this over other hotels in the area.

Very nice place to stay. Staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. Indoor pool and hot tub with supplied towels. A restaurant and bar is onsite. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is served. Exercise room and other amenities.

Our stay was great. The staff was wonderful and made our late arrival and check in easy and fast. Our room was amazing and I loved the king sized bed.

Walking into the Hilton Garden Inn and it looks very clean, very nice and a place you're thinking — "glad I picked this place to stay". What could go wrong? Well, even though the rooms also look just as nice and clean, the beds are rock hard! You might as well just provide pieces of plywood to sleep on instead. As for the pillows, like most hotels, you need 4 or more to make one good quality sleeping pillow. But, the rooms again, are very clean and nice looking. They have a little bar in the lobby area which is a great addition to a smaller hotel in a smaller community and a little kitchen and buffet area with breakfast and dinner buffets for an additional fee. Pool and hot tub on site as well, but a little on the smaller side compared to other accommodations I've experienced. If you have a family that plans to be staying here, you may consider another hotel (especially if there are plenty of other families staying here). If you're a traveler like me, this isn't a big deal for you. I will be doing plenty of traveling to this region through my current employer, but will check out some of the other options just a few miles away — Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield and Comfort Inn.

Excellent service, staff is courteous an always willing to help. Once the air conditioning broke in my room they were almost fully booked, but the managed to change me to another room, even when it was not their fault they apologize profusely because the inconvenience, even when it was not a big deal. Their restaurant has good dishes at a very good price too.

Great place to stay in town when traveling for business. Walmart is walking distance stance to pick up any of those last minute items. Also, a great Mexican restaurant is between the Walmart and the hotel. Rooms and Lobby are very clean. Breakfast served in the morning at there table area is excellent.

My family and I had a great stay here over the weekend. Beds were comfortable n room was very clean. The staff was amazing they all went out of way to be friendly and help us out. Thank you for relaxing weekend!

Nice rooms, secure, nice pool area, nice staff. Heated smoking area outdoors (go through the exit by the restaurant. Need room key to renter) Also, either need room key to enter through the front doors after dark, or can buzz the front desk for entry.

I took my kids and god children here for a night away so they could swim. Everything was very clean. The pool flooring is particularly slippery when wet; one child slipped and bloodied her lip. We were able to have pizza delivered directly to the room by a local pizza place. The breakfast package was a good value and we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. One child accidentally left a tablet behind. House keeping found it and mailed it to us. I was very grateful. All in all, a very good stay, would do again.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable. If you're too busy to go out for dinner, there's a small restaurant inside with a limited, but delicious menu. On some room deals, cooked to order breakfast is included, or buffet if you're in a hurry. Better quality breakfast than most other chains.

Very nice place to stay, the hospitality and service was on point. They have a small bar and the dinner was excellent, but the breakfast bar is even better. Also there is a convetion center connected to the inn. Perfect place for groups to hold an event.

The staff were wonderful at this location! They were all VERY helpful. I was very sad that the pool was closed during our visit though. The rooms were very nice as well!

Great hotel! Loved the hot tub! Nice pool area. Awesome breakfast, alot of delicious choices. If you pay for it with your room it is much cheaper. Front desk was very helpful.

This place is being sold and is no longer going to be a Hilton so I'm not sure of my review is going to be needed. I enjoyed the event and they have a great wait staff. The only wedding and convention center in Kankakee worth booking at. Lost power over night for an hour however that cannot be controlled by the company.

My husband and I stayed here last night. The bed was very comfortable and everything is so nice and clean. We had a great breakfast with a super friendly hostess and cook. I am so surprised with this quality of a Hotel that the rate was so reasonable. This past summer my family and I stayed at the Hilton in New Orleans, LA. There the rate was almost 3 times more than here in Kankakee, Illinois. The hotel there was not nearly as nice and clean or with as nice of staff as Kankakee. Thank you for a nice relaxing stay. If you are traveling through this area… You need to honestly stay at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The event hall was well managed and organized. Special accommodations were provided for after event celebrations. The rooms were well kept and comfortable.

We hosted our wedding at the Hilton this past weekend! Everything was fantastic from start to finish! Denise worked with us all year to plan out our wedding and make sure everything was perfect! The food was delicious, everything came out quickly and piping hot! The servers and bartenders did a fantastic job! The room looked absolutely beautiful! The garden room was perfect for the after party and for breakfast Sunday morning! The rooms were very comfortable and clean! We would definitely recommend this hotel for any wedding, event, or night away to anyone we know! Thank you all again!

Great Hotel, the best in the area. The service is prompt and courteous. It is my preferred location when I visit customers in this area.

The hotel is alright but I'm not happy with the cleaning. The room I was originally assigned to had a dirty tub. It looked like dirty water had sat and dried in the tub. Front desk was very friendly and moved me to another room. This room seemed to have a cleaner bathroom. However this one now had a dirty pillow case. I understand makeup can stain (and I really hope it was a stain and not that they weren't changed) but it was fairly obvious. You'd think they wouldn't use it again. Restaurant is good. Pricey but that's to be expected at most hotels.

Excellent customer service. My family & I experience a house fire and our insurance company set us up here. Everyone on staff has been absolutely wonderful. From managers, housekeeping, maintenance and front desk managers. EVERYONE has been very nice and accommodating to my family and I. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Last minute decision to stay here due to traffic jams on I57. Got the last room due to same traffic jam. Whirlpool tub had a weird shower. Otherwise great stay. Clean and comfortable. Comped breakfast by being a Hilton Honors member. Good value.

Good service. High prices here. Breakfast not included. Adjustable firmness of bed. Clean. It's a conference center. Hot tub, pool, exercise room (we did not try). Fridge and microwave.

The room was clean. The lobby was clean and welcoming. There were cookies and water laid out as you entered the lobby. The gym is small but adequate. The check in process was quite slow but it's understandable as there was an emergency of someone fainting and collapsing somewhere in the hotel. Overall it's a clean hotel and I'd stay here again if I need a hotel nearby.

The staff is very polite. The swimming pool and fitness center are in good shape. Not the biggest I have seen but I never had a problem getting what I needed. It is right off the highway so very easy to get to. The breakfast is not free but they will make you what you would like which is nice. Overall, a great place to stay.

We were not happy. We have stayed here many times but this was our last. The service is terrible, our bathroom had mold… our remote had no batteries. The list goes on. Our first room had a leak … the floor was soaked and we were told that they would bring us some towels and give us half off. Not we will get someone in to fix it. Not your room will be free… we will bring you towels and we don't have another room! We started calling other hotels and then miraculously they had a room! We are done with Hilton! 3 strikes your out!

Generally, I like Hilton Gardens. My room here was a little below cleanliness standards… Hair on bathroom floor, sheets with washed in stains, stain at eye level on the sheer curtain, etc. It was acceptable for the night. Probably just that room. Common areas were nice.

Went for a work party. Food was good, staff was friendly. Clean and inviting banquet room.

Attended a wedding at The Hilton Garden Inn on October 22nd and stayed overnight. My boyfriend, the father of the groom left his prescription glasses in our room by mistake. He contacted staff at this hotel starting on October 23rd after we got home and have constantly been getting the run around as to where his glasses are and when he will be contacted about them. As of today, October 25th, no one has contacted him. He had to call them and was told that a manager would call him back today and no one did. You would think that as much money as he and his son spent at this hotel for the wedding, they would show more appreciation and concern. They have been nothing but inconsiderate and unprofessional. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel if this is how they treat customers who mistakenly leave any of their belongings behind. Bad service, bad business!

Hotel is well maintained and clean. Beds are comfortable and they provide really nice desk chairs for working from the hotel room. The staff is incredibly friendly and the reason why I always choose this hotel when staying in the area.

Service and staff is extremely rude! We were planning our wedding reception here and we were prepared to pay the deposit to reserve the room and everything and the Hilton decided to give the room to someone else who was expecting more people (which equates to more money). They have been overall rude and very unprofessional! Please folks consider staying elsewhere!

Great rooms, great breakfast. The pool is a joke, but what can you expect for a business hotel?

Clean, attractive building, friendly staff, but food was simply mediocre. Steak was overcooked. Not much of a drink selection.

Me and my kiddos are here now, and I must say what a great hotel! Super clean. Modern. And the staff, has been more than accomidating. We got a suite the price was wonderful for the size of room I got! Easily and comfortably sleeps 6! I love the living room where my boys can watch cartoons and pulled out the couch bed with ease, me and my daughter and her bff can watch a rented movie in the main room with 2 full beds. Thank you Michelle, Dawn, Kyle, and the gentleman who brought up the extra blankie and pillows, and even pretended to run away in fear as my 5 Yr old chased him with a toy shark. What a great stay! And just a short 5min drive from home. Love the pool so much fun!

Stayed here for 2 months for work. What an awesome place. The entire staff is very welcoming and made me feel like family.

People were allowed to stand in the hall and when the front desk was alerted to the situation we were told to avoid confrontation and stay in our room. Double charged on "something" yet to be determined, still disputing this issue. Overall unpleasant experience.

The hotel is beautiful and the front desk staff was friendly. However, the room was a different story. The mattresses didn't fit the beds so you were forever hitting your knees on the frame which was to large. The outer curtains did not shut so there was no way to keep our the light from the street lamp that was right outside our window. All night you could hear the elevator dings on all 3 floors as well as the kids playing in the pool (I was on the second floor). We stayed two nights and house keeping didn't come to clean at all. I had to request towels at 12am when I returned to the hotel which took 30 minutes to get to the room. The drain in the shower was so slow you stood in 2 inches of water while taking a shower. Here you have to pay extra for the bed and breakfast option but the waiting staff was terrible, she was grouchy because I asked for silverware and from that point on I had to get everything we needed from other tables. This visit was terrible. This was not my typical experience with other Hilton locations, very disappointed.

Seemed nice, clean. Was there for less than 15 minutes for a vendor fair. Was unimpressed with the fair, but hotel looked decent.

Really enjoyed our stay here! The beds are amazing, the staff is extremely helpful and nice, and the hot tub is so relaxing. I have two kids under the age of 5 and the hotel staff was so accomodating to us. Made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Almost like our own home! 5 stars, totally reccomended!

I'm from Kankakee so I support my home town but when I woke up late and was told to get out in 5-10mins to toleit that was over flowing all over the bathroom and the message was sent by front desk that was very unbelievable there's a lot of racism it's very clear there no Blacks or minority at the front desk on White's also all the blacks are just worker's on the farm like house keeping I've travel the world and never understood how I can return home and a outstanding issues where they false accused me and also the GM told me that I'm not welcome back no more. Kankakee wake-up to these people and organizations.

Has a fridge, microwave, and good tv. There is a bar in the lobby as well. Great place.

This was a great hotel which provide the best service and hospitality. Not only were the facilities very clean and well-kept but the service was top-receptionist in the morning when we woke up gave us a free breakfast even though weweren't a priority member.

Beds were very comfortable. Front desk and restaurant staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Amazing staff, the room was comfortable but the service was even better, lost my car keys in the garbage cans and the Hilton hotel manager and staff was terrific! Providing a room for us to lay out the baggage, they found it in the garbage bags I was speechless. Definitely world class service.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The pipes are so old that every time you or someone near you is showering, it sounds like someone is running a jackhammer in your room! The $10 breakfast was terrible and the two younger ladies who were working at the front desk were rude! Won't be back!

Good hotel, clean, comfortable. This is the kind of hotel I look for when I'm away from home for work. No free breakfast however and the pool is currently closed. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Can hardly believe this, but the more I thought about it, the more I know I should have complained when we checked out. In the morning, before we got out of bed, I said to my husband, "Did you notice how grainy these sheets feel? It feels like sand or maybe detergent or something. He ran his hand across them and said, :Ewwww that's gross. | I have no idea what caused it, but I did call back to the hotel when it seemed my bill was wrong and did complain at the time. She really didn't have an answer. I also told her the toilet seat slid off to the side when you sat on it, and needed to be fixed before the next guests rented the room. I am not sure what standard procedure is for a hidabed, but sheets were on the bed when we opened it up. At other places, sheets are neatly folded and usually setting on the sofa or somewhere in the room. How do they know, or more importantly, how do we know if those sheets have been slept on. We go to Kankakee several times a year, and have stayed there several times, but doubt that we will again. At $144 for the room, I expect more.

Im pretty happy with the service overall. Yes breakfast is $10 but. It is a full kitchen and they made me what I asked for, kids eat free.

Clean room Wi-Fi available but service is based on whether you want to pay or not. Impossible to use bath, in my room. Coffee maker did not seem to work, so I called desk. Instead of spending someone to check it, I was told I could come down to the lobby and get it. They have a breakfast buffet and a Continental option. This morning I wanted something light, maybe a bagel and some coffee. I have never been charged for a Continental breakfast before, by any hotel, anytime, anywhere.

I see this hotel has gotten some poor reviews and I thought I would share my experience. -Conference center: the conference center was like many other that I have seen, nothing out of the ordinary, but clean and well lit. The P. A. System had a few hiccups but once they got it figured out it was fine. -Food: For our meals, we were told that the chef cooked from scratch, and I believe it. Every meal we had was very good. We had steak, a couple chicken dishes, and all of the sides and dessert were fantastic. Also, they had cookies, snacks, and drinks throughout the conference. -Service: The staff was excellent. They were polite, non obvious, but they always took your plate as soon as you were done, and they were eager to fill your requests. They seemed to all be on the same page. Once again the cook was amazing. The hotel/room: The hotel and conference center was all clean and up kept. The rooms were clean and well kept. A little concerning after hearing the other reviews about some of the rooms, but I did not notice anything bad. Overall it was a great stay.

Stayed for a weekend it is a very nice hotel. Walmart next door and Taco Bell and KFC across the street.
