The one time we stayed at the hotel the room thermostat wasnt working. Called for engineering who couldnt get it working. Need to change rooms. Rooms are dingy. Poor lighting Sheets on the bed were like sand paper. Never again Casino — prior to the pandemic, we used to occasionlly win but since then we havent had a winning trip. boo.

The hotel itself was wonderful — except the AC. It never fully went to the temp I put it on, but still comfortable! the front desk staff were incredibly friendly. the casino staff was incredibly rude both security and waitresses. I drove a hour up to the Grand Victoria casino in Eglin & had a much better experience.

Every part of this place was good. The buffet was awesome and reasonably priced. $26.00 for two people. Best part was the mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Yummy. The king room was huge, clean, quiet, and very reasonable at $75.00. And we were on a secure floor so no random people able to roam around. Would definately come back. AND there's a Starbucks for morning coffee. All around 5 stars for us. We didn't win though!

HORRIBLE place to work. The Management expects far too much from their employees for the little amount of money they want to pay. Furthermore, the Management and most of the Supervisors employ draconian managerial tactics; because they are more interested in creating job turnovers, versus working with, and keeping their employees gainfully employed.

Last night I stayed at your hotel. Everyone from check in to security, those working the food to the casino, EVERYONE was great. Plus you all had fun personalities. Enjoyed my stay!

Crab Leg Scam at Buffet! You pay 45 bucks per person and they limit your time inside the buffet to 90 minutes. They write down your 90 minute time limit on your receipt when you pay. So if you pay at 6:00pm they write 7:30pm on your receipt. Then after you pay you have to get in the wait to be seated line which can take 30 minutes to get seated. This counts as your time inside the buffet when you dont have access to the food. If you're a vip diamond card there is no time limit, its only cash paying customers. Thats not fair. They ran out of crab legs and waiting for more counts as your time in the buffet. Then the manager has the nerve to go around checking receipts to see whos being bad and overstaying their 90 minutes. How RUDE! And if you dont get finished up they'll call in security and have you removed from the buffet and face potential arrest by Joliet police. Their expensive crab legs are not the normal opy crab legs, they are a cheap thin leg with less meat and they dont have the same taste as the normal crab leg. Dont wast your time standing in line for 2 hours to pay and another half hour to be seated and then an hour later to be told you wasted your time and money and being treated like a criminal when all youre doing is trying to finish the meal you paid so much for. How sickening, how rude!

Don't eat the peel and eat shrimp. They're not cleaned. I pulled out the poop sack on several of them. Don't worry — I didn't eat it. I wanted to see if they were all like that and they were.

I use to love Harrahs, my family and I spent a lot of time here. I've been going here for 12 years without any issues! But in one day all the greatness changed, I was racially profiled by security. I've tried to reach out countless times to corporate office to rectify the problem, but still have not received a response.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are very clean and smell good. The employees are great and they are happy to get you what you need. The prices are good too. They have a casino downstairs and 2 restaurants. I will stay here again.

This is my second favorite casino in the Chicago area. They have gone through some extensive remodeling in the past years and updated everything. They have expanded the casino floor and upgraded the restaurants. They have a live poker room and lots of table games. The staff and dealers are really friendly.

When I go to gamble I generally don't care about the hotel room. I only need a bed. But the room was very pleasant and made me notice. Big bathroom and comfy bed. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Clean facilities, very nice staff, but the gaming is designed for players not to even have a chance. Poker room is under-staffed and very small. The management fails to realize that the poker room would bring more people in. Best Video poker machines are the DDB progressive at 98.9% pay out, not the worst but nothing higher exists. So expect to lose if you play the slot machines. They blame it on Illinois gaming laws. Maybe. But spend some money, lobby the right people and change the laws. Educate the officials. Not going back, at least not regularly. Again, the staff is very nice.

This is a smaller, river boat style casino. But it's nice. They have a great selection of electronic gaming. Many table games to choose from. Also they host lots of poker tournaments. It is nonsmoking but there is a small area for people to go smoke. Overall it's a decent little casino.

Horrible place. Went to the grill and ordered the fish, they didn't give me a timer like they gave all of the Caucasian people and then they gave my dinner to some one else. I only have a certain amount of time to be able to eat in the afternoons. If I eat after 5 I get violently ill later in the night. They were already late giving my food to someone else and they wanted me to wait an additional 10 minutes for another one. That would have put me at almost 5:30. Prejudice place, my mother and I were the only people of color that ordered and mine was the only one that got screwed up. Never again. And yes they did refund my comp but that does me no good as now I have to wait over 12 hours before I can eat.

Stayed for two nights; what a clean, comfortable experience. The hotel is located right on the river, with stunning views of bridges and city life. Walked around the park nearby every day. Ate a swiss cheeseburger combo and a cheddar cheese burger combo, which included fries and coleslaw. Came back for a grilled cheese on rye because it was tasty. Clean dining area and restrooms. Hotel was pleasantly accessible, too.

I was trying to book a room for my birthday. I have a promotional code for 2 free nights for the days I requested. I was informed that while they do have rooms available they will not honor my promotional code. Then to add insult to injury they attempted to make me pay for the room! They offered me a discount for a room that would normally be free. So instead of $30 for the resort fee, it would be $250! I'm not sure what happened to this once great company but their customer service has become absolutely horrible. Time to find a new casino!

Like most casinos in Illinois, it's a non-smoking property. They have a rudimentary smoking room for those of us who do. A good selection of games with mostly super tight machines so keep trying different games.

Strange how there's no icon for the casino. There is a reason for that. If you like the feeling of being ripped off. Come here. If you like winning two credits per 20 in. Come here. If you like watching your money just being taken with no return. Come here. 1500.00 and I won as total of 220.00 4 here, 8 there. The worst casino is officially this one. You would be better off going to dotty, 's or video slots. Seriously. No fun whatsoever. I'm not looking to win a jackpot only play but here you just feed the machines.

A very good hotel. I was able to stay here with my dog without any issue. The rooms were very large and beds very comfortable.

A whole lot more fun than Hollywood Casino in Joliet. Very clean, smoke free and the slots aren't too tight. Friendly dealers as well.

Being from the West Coast this place was a little unusual to me. They check at the door which causes a long line to get in which was a little annoying. She-Ra poker player like myself oh, I'm not sure about the rest of the floor because I don't play table games, but to get your initial buy-in that make you go to the cage and wait another line… Overall for having showed up in 2 in the morning it was an okay experience. The 1-2 table was playing more like a 2/5 mainly due to the fact it was the only table open but I'm okay with that lol. Most of the players had already been drinking quite a bit so they were quite loose definitely an ideal environment for anyone looking to clean up.

Clean, non-smoky casino. Total rewards staff were helpful and prompt. Didn't spend a whole lot of time here but enjoyed it. Got a blender just for signing up for a total rewards card.

The rooms are very nice the food was very good period but didn't win any money. We we enjoy staying there.

I stayed at this hotel quite a bit years ago, and now I remember why I stopped! GREEDY! GREEDY! GREEDY! They charge you to wipe your a__! I told the cleaning lady that if she actually cleaned, I would tip her the money they give her to snoop around to see if the customers are smoking in a non-smoking room. I don't smoke, but they have so many taxes, fees and rates that you pay for the room twice. Example the room was advertised for $67, after all the fees it costs $113. Kudos to you greedy ass people. I have no reason to visit your dirty hotel. Probably why its empty. No honor among thieves, you do even honor the people who has worked at this whole for years! Shame on you!

Nice veriety of play. Slots, video poker and table games. I like the walking distance between the machines as not to bump into people who are playing. Lots of action everywhere had fun. I will be back.

Wow is great! I find all I need and more!

I was here at the hotel for a work trip. I was not gambling. The rooms were comfortable, but very noisy. There is not much insulation in the door, so every person that walks down the hall, whether they're talking loudly or softly sounds like they're inside the room. We waited for 25 minutes to get a couple of lattes and decided that we would not return the next morning. We were able to find a local coffee house that was able to accommodate us with better service and better product. Room service was not a good experience. It was pre packaged food and was very expensive for what it was… The staff was very friendly and accommodating, but they only had so much to work with… If your goal is to gamble and drink, you'll probably be happy staying here. If you'd like some other options for coffee and food that are close by, I would recommend Jitters Coffee House and the Tin Roof for dinner. Both amazing places and are within walking distance of the hotel.

Always a great place to spend some time and money. I usually go by myself and feel comfortable and safe. Beverage service has definitely improved.

Nice rooms, huge bathtubs, and a wide variety of gambling games. The free drink machines scattered throughout mean never waiting for a drink. The free food in the diamond room was excellent. The only issues: location. Directional signs to find it are poor or non-existent. Also, room services prices are outrageous.

I enjoyed the casino. I just did not like how the atm gave me hundred dollar bills and not broken bills like regular arms. The atmosphere was beautiful. I'm so glad that it was a smoke free environment. I will go back again.

I enjoy coming down to Harrah's Joliet the casino is a good place to play. The dealers are always easy to get along with if you have a question they'll help you. The rooms are always very clean very well taken care of.

I had a great time, I went to meet up with some friends from out of town who had earned free stay at Harrah's Hotel, and game playing points. There room was very nice. The crowd at the casino was friendly, and seem to be very excited. For the first time I can say I won money on the slot machines. Will certainly go back and invite my family and friends who are seeking a great night of excitement.

I had been enjoying my visits at Harrah's Joliet until my most recent visit. While visiting last time I had an incident with the valet service. The valet when retrieving my car damaged my lock by using the wrong key in the door lock. They used a damaged key on my chain that would not go into the lock without much effort. Once in the lock they tried to open which was even a more difficult process and jammed the key into the tumbler. I asked why when the first key provided so much difficulty why did they not STOP and use the other key on the chain. My thought was many people have mulitple cars with multiple keys if one did not work with the normal ease of keys why continue to jam the broken key. I was told this was all my fault for not informing valet of the two keys on the chain. I asked to be contacted after the incident with no luck. I sent a personal message via face book and received no info back. I sent another two messages and was finally informed that someone would reach out. Today I received a call from Eric who again put all the blame on me and found NO responsibility to the valet service. Harrah's has lost a valuable customer as I will now look at the variety of options I have in the gaming industry. This could have been easily remedied with some sort of credit slots or gaming to ensure good feelings with a hopefully valuable customer. I hold out hope that someone above Eric will see this review and reach out to find an agreeable solution.

The location and rooms are great. Very comfortable stay. The new food options are a nice addition. I don't like that they got rid of Starbucks, but it's not a big deal. Casino doesn't pay very often but that's true of many.

The casino has a good selection of games. I do enjoy the smoke free environment. Overall the gaming is fun and up-to-date. Starbucks has been closed and taken out. The hotel rooms — mattresses are wrapped in plastic that you can feel. The overuse of air freshener to cover up the sewer smell (if you notice the tub and the sink drains will be closed because for some reason a sewer smell seeps through the plumbing) is migraine inducing. If you are not diamond status or higher you will be charged almost $17 of a resort fee per day. However I do not see or have not experienced what you benefit from for the $17 charge. This property does not have a pool, spa, or a nice up-to-date workout facility. The food options — The buffet is overpriced for the quality of food that is served. In the buffet you can get your stomach full but you won’t necessarily enjoy the food. Cross Street grill is the tastiest option. They do serve breakfast until 11 AM every day which is nice! The steak house is just ok, However it does have the best ambience of the options.

Great place to go for some adult fun as long as you know your budget and don't overspend have some great Foods the host there are fantastic I really have no complaints. There was one girl working valet who was amazing she was so super fast with getting our car and taking everything very polite I can't give her enough kudos. I can't remember what restaurant we had we ate at it wasn't the buffet it was kind of a quick stop restaurant but pretty decent food for a decent price and if you can get it comp that's even better.

We are at the buffet. They claim they have a huge selection of food. They really don't. The things they do have are not really appetizing. They have a great salad bar and dessert bar but that's about it. I felt like lunch was all the left overs and not very fresh. Casino is nice but no one was really winning anything. The machine were tight…

When I visited here in 2015 the online quote said $65.00 a night and when I got here they ended up charging me $259.00 + taxes because they said that I didn't click some coupon when booking it online. The only reason why I'm giving it a 5 star rating is because the rooms were so comfortable and clean, It's only money right! Can't take it with you when you die so spend while you got it and enjoy every day. I'd stay here again but will have a printout of the quote from online. Lol!

Very nice casino, didn't spend much time in the rooms but my friends staying there seemwd to like it and it was clean. Bar was nice. Good martinis. Downside was the door to the smoking room kept opening and made the entire casino floor smell like smoke.

If you expect high profile customer service, forget it. I left my machine right under a 360 camera, and they had NO response or action to me returning to an empty machine and a missing diamond card. So don't trust them for customer service. I've done this in Vegas countless times without some low life stealing my money and getting away with it. Lesson learned.

The Reserve has incredible food. I was able to try one of their seasonal dishes and it was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted. Always an excellent experience dining there.

SERIOUSLY! how can you not have food ready at the buffet at opening. Very poor selection today at christmas not having prime rib when your paying for good selection and you dont get it what a waste. The several past visits have shown that overall service has been declining and the quality of the food shows. Its a shame that you cant get a good buffet at any casino buffet in joliet myself and my family were very disappointed and we wont be coming back until something improves.

The staff at the Casino are very friendly, I enjoyed my stay there but wasn’t able to win any money also the hotel rooms are in need of renovation because the room I stayed in is looking a little ran down, the chairs are dirty the bottom of the beds are messed up the tub in the bathroom is stained with something black in it etc.

Went for a work event, the stuffed chicken and prime rib were absolutely delicious! We spent the rest of the night in the casino. We had a blast!

Save some time and just send them money, because you won't be walking out with any of theirs. I'm surprised that since this place is so tight they don't charge for parking, cover charge and admission entrance fee. Watch how fast the games spin, to make sure your hitting that button as fast as possible. You might as well give this place direct deposit to your bank.

Location was awesome. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. The rooms didn't block out much sound though. About 2 am the neighbors decided to be loud and slam doors sounded like they were in our room. All in all not too bad though… they could have threw in free breakfast for as much as we paid for the room. It was nice being walking distance to the Rialto.

Harrah' s Joliet was a 5 star place to be until this evening. We were patrons of Harrah' s a average of 2-3 times a week at a minimum. Being on a first name bases with almost half the wait staff and bar staff and dealers and pit crew. Ect. Ect. Until today, me and my wife are diamond players and were treated like a couple of less fortunate people, by a host named Mary Boedeker. It's a sad day that Harrah's Joliet is willing to lose two players over her favoritism, decision to favor another player in there favor. Good luck to all who go and stay clear of this women!

My husband and I go to the buffet on Friday nights and occasionally do some gambling. The buffet never disappoints us. Can’t beat the crab legs, fresh seafood cooked to order, and the best fried chicken around. We were there this past Friday and had one of the most attentive servers we’ve experienced, her name was Morgan.

The rooms were nice, smelled clean, had a large tub and shower. Staff was friendly everywhere you went in the building. Valet was quick to retrieve our car when we left. Casino was fun. It was a good way to kill 45 minutes before our other plans.

The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding interests as well as their hotel. The room was extremely spacious and the same goes for the bathroom. The tub could easily fit two. We only tried the cross street cafe but the food was pretty good. Onsite party was very convenient and the location is great if you are planning to attend an event at The Forge, a concert venue about a block and a half down the road.

In this day and age, how is it possible for a hotel room not to have a USB port? The Harrahs in Metropolis have them. You need to upgrade, folks. Maid replaced the coffee service, but never cleaned the coffee pot. On a positive nite, the Reserve is one great restaurant, a must do if you come here. Mike the bartender in the Diamond lounge deserves a shout out. See you all soon.

Whenever I'm near Chicago I love stopping by this cozy little casino. Good selection of table and video gaming coupled with a very friendly staff. Only complaint I could have is that each time I visit, I have yet to access a workingTotal Rewards kiosk. They always seem to be down. I've been to most of the Caesar's properties in the Midwest and East Coast, and enjoy all of them. Always a plus when a business provides accommodations for us professional (truck) drivers. It's a welcomed break from the busy truck stops. Definitely have a loyal customer here.

Extremely clean and nice for a casino. The floor is no-smoking, so the casino is pristine and enjoyable for everyone, but there is a, smoking area inside for those who need it. The poker room is small, but lively. The restaurants are delicious and reasonably priced for a casino. The rooms are spacious and as nice as anything I've found in Vegas. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a chill, high-end casino.

It was a tradition to go to the top of the parking deck to watch the fireworks. We we're told although there we're many open spots that we could not park at the top by a security guard. So we parked below and walked up with 2 toddlers in tow. Several other cars arrived with the same intention and we're allowed to remain. Rules are rules that's fine but enforce them equally.

No amenities, room was not cleaned properly (found dirty bed linen), TV remote missing, no breakfast included and no mini bar. Overpriced for what is included especially at a weekend rate of over $250.

The service and waitresses are always very friendly. Can always find an open machine or table. The atmosphere is terrific food is great also. Bathrooms are always clean. And have easy slots. Great time I have fun everytime.

Harrahs casino hotel in Joliet is awesome! So much to do, such friendly staff & the rooms are ALWAYS in tip top shape the king room is especially nice my fiance and I get free stays every month because he is a member we get the king bed smoking room, it never smells like a smokers room & it is just relaxing. Couch big TV bathroom, seperate from the bath tub area too mych tonexplain leta jyst give it 5 stara!

Great service started as soon as we pulled up to the valet parking. This was our first visit and I really did not know what to expect. We started in the diamond loungs where the food was good… Service non existent had to go to the bar for soda and drinks as no one ever came around. Went to the casino and the service was amazing 15 minutes after playing a host came up and offered up free dinner certificates and asked if there was anything we needed. Went to other end of casino and another host came up and offered assistance. Not to mention the waitress es were by frequently…

Pretty fun time for my first time in a Casino. The Walking Dead machine was extremely fun. I actually walked out a winner which was nice.

Love harras, hate illinois rules. IGC is horrible, and so is our loser governor. Casinos are supposed to make u comfortable, but this one is hoop after hoop. Again, not harras fault, I blame illinois and igc.

Apart pretty enough machines to play and people are never friendly no problems with anyone with size everything seems to be very well I have visited this town this casino for the past 10 years and I've never had any problem of any kind which has not been solved a company very serious contributors excellent workers ④✴
