We stayed at Motel 6 (in Prospect Heights) from 7-18-18 to 8-21-18 and we didn’t have a good experience there. The person from the front desk has been racist and treated us bad (She has curly hair). The first day she got mad because not all of us had our IDs since the day of the fire we just got our asap. And she said that she would only allow us one night without our IDs and we had to go get a temporary one. Two days later, my dad decided to help out a person who was bringing pizzas to a family that was affected by the fire and was staying in the hotel. The person who brought the pizzas asked my dad if he could could ask if a family was there. My dad asked the woman with curly hair about the family and she said she can’t give out that information because of the policy.
The pizzas were for the person in the hotel but the woman with curly hair didn’t tell us information. Another day the owner of the Motel, told my sister and I to get off the pavement we were barely sitting on for three minutes. And we see that other people sit on the pavement and they don’t tell them anything. The other day I went get my cards for the room activated and then the owner asked for my ID and told me he wanted to talk with my dad. When I went to go ask my dad and came back the owner was inside like nothing was happening. And this other lady was helping us instead. We’ve also seen that in the hallways there is mold and looks very bad.

Saw a little bug and a granddaddy long legs but didn't feel like the place was infested or anything. Walking around barefoot left my feet gross but I should've seen that coming, probably. Only bar soap provided. But overall, I felt like it served its purpose: it was a cheap, simple place to stay. The staff was nice and there's a cafeteria with coffee in the morning and a microwave that I used to make ramen. Beds were clean and fairly comfortable.

Staff was very nice. Price was amazing but the room had some repair issues that needed to be addressed. The wall behind the toilet was collapsing. The first night we arrived there was a couple loitering outside the entrance and one of them attempted to steal my wife’s purse. If the whole experience had been at the same level as the staff it would have been an amazing stay.

Average room. A little run down, but fairly large. It had the basics, pleasant enough staff. Cons: smokers, including staff, hang out in front of the only entrance to the hotel; there was a funky smell in our room; and we felt like something was biting us under the sheets (not bed bugs — — the bite sites were too big and not multiples in one spot to be bed bugs). Definitely doable for the price.

It was great staying here. It was very quiet and was not bothered at all from anyone. When I came in each day my towels and all were restocked but my bed was not made up but that was really no problem to me but might by to some. Everyday everything was just like I left it like my tablet and phone still laying were I left it and That was a big plus to me and I felt safe there also. Great staff and was always there to greet me and answered all my questions that I had during my stay. I give this place way more stars than what they are rated at.

Room was very clean and tidy, and staff was pleasant. Ad was clear on what was and was not included, e. G. Breakfast, so I was able to plan accordingly. Since all I wanted to do was sleep, Motel 6 made for a great value. When I asked about a reservation for the coming week, the morning manager told me that there was no room available, but called me later to let me know that that was a computer error and that a room was in fact available, which I reserved. Excellent service! I will get his name so that I can write a note thanking him personally. I suspect that a few of the other "guests" may have been hookers, but I didn't bother them and they didn't bother me. I was surprised that the room did not have an alarm clock, but I can understand that since nearly everyone has a cell phone with an alarm feature they are less necessary. Nonetheless, it would have been nice to know what time it was when I awoke without having to go over to my phone. I did not think to ask the front desk about it, they may have had one available.

Respectfully clean and I will play a movie without the remote control over here and hang out with the bus or train to be at the house shortly after the morning and set this up k thanks.

This is my favorite motel 6… Front desk has been very kind every time I stay here. The prospect heights motel 6 is the best motel 6 in the Chicago suburbs. Great price, great location, and great customer service. Somar, Evelina, & the overnight guy at the front desk are always nice & helpful.

Room was nice size. Wallpaper was stapled to the wall. Not bad for what we paid about $50/night.

Room 333. Halls and room smell like a mix of old stale smoke and a funky locker room. Beds are horrible. Squeaky mattresses and zero support. Floors have gaps between wood laminate planks. Was not dirty per say just really crappy over all. Beds were just horrible tho. I will not return to the this location. The lady who checked us in mentioned this was the nice room cuz we were looking for one on the main floor but said the others were too dirty. If this was one of the best I didn't have high hopes for the rest of the rooms in this place.

I understand that this is a budget hotel. The main reason for the 2 star rating is the carpet in the room, which gave a sense of being dirty whether it was or not (badly needs updated imo). Also, I didn't sleep well, had a mild reaction to the room, which can happen sometimes if there is mold. The window heat/AC unit didn't work very well and my room was either too hot if I turned the heat on, or too cold without it. The staff was nice enough and I understand that the room is inexpensive, but I won't stay there again.

Everything was decent and comfortable. It's my favorite place to stay at when I travel. They are doing a wonderful job.

My experience at the Motel 6 in Prospect Heights could not have been better. This hotel has more class than what I'd expect from a Motel6. In addition to the rooms being well cared for, the staff makes it a point to interact with guests at a personal level, ensuring that their stay is as pleasant as possible.

Great place to stay. It's quiet and clean too. Friendly staff and good places close by to eat.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that this Motel 6 was actually in the form of a hotel, with interior walkways! I was very satisfied with the condition of the room, the folks at the front desk were extremely helpful and polite, and my overall stay was relaxing aand quiet. The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is that there is only one washer and dryer, and they were always in use every time I checked. For a building that size, there probably should be more machines available… Otherwise, good job, folks!

This Place is horrible. Horrible customer service horrible housekeeping and it has Roches Red Roof Inn is way better.

I thank the Motel workers for their comfortable living. We use it often when we meet guests from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus and other countries.

Most of. The staff is terrific. I would highly recommed motel 6 in prospect heights to any body. it is a very clean and beautiful there. Management is awesome. I like that they have surveillance in the parking lot. I would stay there again 100%.

Overall the motel was extremly good for the price it has. Good people at front office and very friendly. I would prefer for the coffe time I n the morning to be a little bit extended, rather than this, everything was very good.

Room infested with crawly mites, not good… did not sleep in bed so bad. Slept in my car, and took shower next morning. Don't ask for much in hotel, no fancy furniture or lighting, or large amount of TV channels, just clean and no infestation… so disappointed.

Check in took almost 25 minutes. I was only one in line and I even asked if he was new. Unfortunately, he wasn't. I advise anyone to avoid checking in during 3rd shift. It was the end of his shift but he went so slow during the check in process and then he forgot to cancel my other reservation and then my card was charged 2 times for 1 room!

I come to the Chicago area 3 times a year for work and always stay at this motel. It's close to a number of good restaurants. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. Has free Wi-Fi, which is a rare thing in a Motel 6, and has always been clean and comfortable.

Sometimes the service is better then others. This particular time the key didn't work and I had to walk to the front desk twice. When I take time to complain I never really get anything resolved. You get what you pay for. But the room is available and affordable.

Was in a smoking room (I do smoke) and the room didn’t have a smoke smell at all. All employees I came across were very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place for a decent motel and a good price.

The room was dirty. There were crumbs on the floor. The bed had crumbs. We brought our own sheet. The place was dirty. We asked for a refrigerator and microwave, and were told only a non smoking room had them and there was no one to move into our room. They didn't try to accommodate us at all. It was disappointing. We only go out once in awhile we have 5 kids and it was our little getaway. Just dissapointing.

Let me start by saying. This place is a s@ hole. I read the reviews and it sounded good. So I go up to my room on the 3rd floor… smoking room… At first glance I was highly disappointed. Then I see a bug crawling on the pillow. U guessed it bed bugs. Went to the front desk and told her I found a bed bug. First question was do u have it. I was like yea I made it a pet and carried it down to u. Now im out of hours (truck driver) so I cant fo anywhere. So I ask to change rooms to the first floor. Immediately get an attitude and this woman says if I smoke in the room she is going to kick me out. So I naturally got ticked off wondering why this woman is giving me an attitude because my room had bugs. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Everyone that worked there was extremely nice! The rooms were very clean. They did not have "do not disturb" signs but they were very accommodating of our wishes to not have service during our stay. They had towela waiting for us every night when we came in at the front desk! Awesome service! I only wish it was closer to the city.

As others have mentioned exiting the motel to go north is a royal pain. When checking in the front desk required my wife's drivers license. I've never had that done before, and I have traveled a lot. I guess it is their way of screening for hookers. On the whole the room/motel was clean, and not too noisy. The lobby did smell of strong orangie cleaner, but that was better than a bleach smell.

Evaline at the front desk went out of her way to help me find my iPhone charger that I left behind in the room. She is an outstanding employee and should certainly be considered for advancement in your organization.

Excellent Myself and my little dog stayed for 2 nights and will book this hotel every time I visit this area.

I thought for the price it would be some flea bag motel but to my surprise it was better then some 200.00 a night places I've stayed in. I was very happy to stay with you guys. Keep doing what you're doing Thanks.

The first thing that greeted me when I parked in the lot was a huge pile of dog excrement that had been there for at least a week and never cleaned up. When I was registering, they had a long, long list of can't do this and can't do that like they thought they were a five star hotel, yet when you get in the room, there was peeling wallpaper, chemical stench, hideous "stucco" walls that had unpatched holes in them, missing bathroom tiles and the T. V. Was so low it was hard to watch. During the two days I was there, I never saw housekeeping do anything. They only service the rooms once per week and give clean towels only once per week. The second morning I brought it to their attention that they had bedbugs and all they wanted to do was wash my clothes that had never been on their bed and had just been washed the day I registered there. "Terminex was here recently and we don't have bedbugs. " How long ago was Terminex here? Two months, three months, longer? How many OTHER guests have been in that room? Two months would mean anywhere from 30 to 60 other people had been in that room before me. Three months? Anywhere from 30 to 90 other people had been there. I didn't bring them. I dont have them now. They kicked me out. Just another sleeze bag franchise of IPI. P. S. They're the kind of place that hires foreigners over Americans.

Clean, comfortable rooms with a refrigerator. Wi-Fi service could be better.

We stayed there for one day and room was pathetic. No hair dryer, no alarm clock and even worst part was found someones cloths and underwear in TV table. Room staff did not do their work properly.

Ok in general — smoke detector was an issue — beeping every minute — staff disconnected and removed for my stay. Bar next door (Players) was good for food — dinner or breakfast. Guests were generally quiet except for the Indian/Pakistan group-kids were loud and running in hall — parents stood in middle of the hallway and argued — very loud. Staff nice — only coffee in the morning.

The motel was great, it used to be another motel so it has a much nicer layout and better rooms than the standard motel 6. The front desk man was very nice and cheerful. The room was comfortable and everything was great. The only downside was that the bathroom was a little cramped, standing up to use the toilet I would bump into the shower curtain rail with my head because it was all very close together. The sink was on the outside of the bathroom so for anything but toilet use it was no problem and the tub was a normal full sized bathtub so showering was comfortable as well. The price was extremely reasonable and was pretty much what you would expect a motel 6 to be, so overall this was a good location for rest.

After reading other reviews, we were prepared for a less than superior visit at this Motel 6. We were pleasantly surprised! The room had been completely upgraded with new carpet, paint and bathroom fixtures. We even found a way to open the back window for some fresh air! The staff was friendly, and the first floor hallway was quiet all night. Everything including hairdryer worked fine. We did not have time for morning coffee, but we were offered some. The only difficulty was entering the parking lot, as there was no easy access from the 2-way boulevard outside. We ended up driving all the way around the motel, and coming in the back side, as we could not find a place to left-turn into the parking lot.

Better than I expected for the price. It didn't have the nicest looking rooms, but they seemed clean.

Staff was nice. Room was a little outdated. We needed a pet friendly hotel that was near the shop our company truck was in, that was fairly cheap & it fit the bill nicely. Liked the free Wi-Fi.

You get exactly what you need during your travels. A clean room, a comfortable bed, and strong coffee in the morning. Location is a bit seedy but the prices are fair. Have stayed here on two different occasions and never had any problems. Good experience all around.

The bathroom needed a major reno. The wallpaper was peeling, there was mould on the walls. It was a no smoking room and yet we could still smell smoke. You get what you pay for though. Comfy bed and quiet room.

Pretty decent at these prices. Free parking and Wi-Fi are what wins this place the fifth star.
