Very clean and well managed. Our second home while in Chicago.

It was nice a cozy it was quite I had a nice time.

Rooms are spacious and feel like a home rather than a hotel room.

This place is utterly disgusting! I went to drop off some roses to my friend for her birthday. I saw a security guard sneaking around the complex. I said to myself what is he up to? To my surprise he was going door to door listening for laughter, music etc. I came by gave my friend a hug and was there literally 5 minutes and there was a knock at the door. Long story short we were accused of partying and violating policy! We were kicked out of the room and the Manager Al an African American was extremely rude! I couldn’t believe it! What kind of scam is this?! You can’t laugh, talk or breathe. God forbid you’re making love & moan. You will be thrown out. Do not ever rent anything from this place.

I highly recommend this spot if you're in the chicago area. Absolutely beautiful hotel, great staff, fantastic breakfast (included with your stay) and its located far enough from the claustrophobic city to feel laid back but you're only a 15 minute drive from downtown chicago.

I had the worst experience at this hotel we got put out for no reason the security guards lied and said they were police which they weren’t when we asked the reason of why we were being told to leave they didn’t have one, when we were in the room getting dressed to leave the security guards stood there and watched us which made me and everyone else feel very uncomfortable … they called police on us for no reason my kids were in another room which I had to get them ready at 2 a. M in the cold so we could leave I personally feel like these people are racist I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL …

We had to stay for 2 days because we had no power from the storm that passed through. This hotel and staff are fantastic and I would recommend it to everyone! Rooms are exceptionally clean, breakfast is offered each day and is surprisingly yummy! They knew of our situation and worked with us to help us out!

We traveled from Florida 2 weeks ago and stayed at Sonesta, our friends and family are from Lombard. I cannot say enough about our clean room, the property and the pool and breakfast area! Top Notch! My biggest pleasure while staying was the absolutely Friendly kind and caring staff, they went above and beyond for us. We had a welcome back to the USA for my sister and the setting could have not been more perfect for our family gathering and also the way the placed us all in the same building with our rooms. The only funky kinda weird in a scary way was the heavily armed security guards that came on duty, we felt like a family of drug dealers when we were told to shut our party down at 10pm, we were totally agreeable and new this rule to begin with, treatment and threat of eviction was not cool and not called for. Otherwise an awesome stay and we are coming back next year!

We stayed in a nice room however what was shown on web page is not the one they book for us… so ask questions, also they never mentioned any about deposit yet one was charged to our account. The 1 thing that reallly made me upset is they don't want you to play music at all. Also we were up in our room talking police was called because they said we were to loud. Front desk never called us… this place his for someone who likes the quite life. If you're looking fun don't choose this place. I give it 3 stars.

If I could give a minus rating I would. The management needs training. I recieved a confirmation email when the room was booked but when I showed up, myself and the other members of my group were not in the system and the reservation numbers were invalid. When the other members checked out I recieved their email notifications but when I checked out I did not receive anything. It was recently renovated with shoddy construction. The toilets paper holders were not installed correctly causing the paper to shred, lights constantly flickered on and off, the toilet was running constantly, and the water pressure was bad. One day I came back to find my door wide open and a pile of towels on top of my sink so my room was not secured for several hours. Housekeeping would regularly take dirty wet towels, fold them and hang them up as if they were new instead of leaving them to dry where I hung them up. Myself or other members of my organization will never stay here again.

Do not stay here unless it is your last resort. Advertising for this place online makes it look like a nice place to stay. The hotel is under construction, so there is absolutely NO parking, you have to park in another hotels parking lot and lug all your things to the hotel. We had ants in the room, horrible amount of ants, there were nails on the deck for anyone to step on. After we were there for 24 hours we were told we had to change rooms due to them going to replace the steps on our building. If we chose not to change rooms we would not have access to our room for the entire next day. The staff could not figure out where to put us, we were left standing outside waiting on a room, only to be told to go back to our old room until they figured it out. We carried all of our things (family of 6 for a week stay with groceries) up and down three flights of steps several times until they finally put us in another room. Internet is up and down, not reliable. Housekeeping is a joke. We had to hunt down someone for clean towels or take ours to the front desk. Laundry has 2 machines broken, so only 2 washers working. Had to go to local laundry mat. Used Condoms laying on the ground at the bottom of our buildings steps, toilet brush laying on ground outside our buildings steps. Kitchen is not stocked enough to cook. Office staff was friendly.

The hotel room looks nice. The bed is comfy. That's about as far as I can go in terms of saying positive things here. The parking is abysmal. A lot of times, you have to park and walk all the way around a building just to get to your unit. When they run out of parking, you have to park at an office across the street. This wouldn't bug me too much, but this is an extended stay. You will be here for a long time, so you will be carrying a lot of luggage and groceries a pretty big distance. There are basically no cooking tools at all. You get a two pots, a pan, some tongs, and some large ladles. That's about it. No baking sheets or anything like that. They put in oven in the room and you cannot even use it because they don't even give you potholders or anything to bake on. The construction is God awful. They work at absurd hours. Nothing like listening to a nail gun on a roof nonstop at 8pm on a weekday. It sounds like a skateboard rolling past over and over again. I was woken up at 8:30 am on a Saturday by… you guessed it… Construction. Lastly, the light switches make no sense whatsoever. For example, there's a light above the table. There's a light switch right above the table on the wall it sits against. That switch turns on the lights above kitchen. The table light switch is all the way by the stairs. To turn on the lights in the bathroom upstairs, you have to use a switch next to the stairs about 10 feet away from the bathroom.

During the stay about a month ago there was construction going on and they had about 1/2 of the parking blocked off, so that was very inconvenient. The breakfast was a joke. There was nothing hot offered. Cold cereal, fruit, bagels, muffins and frozen jimmy dean breakfast sandwiches that you had to ask for. They ran out of milk 2 of the 4 days I was there. It was in an actual room because the lobby was being remodeled, apparently. The check in desk was located in a trailer. Now I'm getting charged for something a month later! Outside pool only and it wasn't even open even though it was in the 90's. Said they didn't open until after Memorial Day. I didn't have a choice, this was a work thing and they chose. If you have a choice, go somewhere else!

The place was under construction and I had ants. They did not have any fruit on the 3rd day I was there. If no Construction, no ants, add some breakfast open the pool the place would be great.

Great rooms, very clean and comfortable. I liked the breakfast bar as well and staff was very nice.

I love it. We have stayed here 3 days and love it so far. ❤ super clean and staff is so exceptional.

Room is fine. Kitchen is not stocked with everything you need to actually cook, though. My biggest complaint is the cleaning staff. They have stolen 3 bottles of wine from me, phone chargers from co-workers' rooms, and eaten food out of co-workers' fridges. This has been a consistent problem.

This apartment hotel is outstanding! The staff has been very attentive to our needs.

So far, it's nice, but missing quite a bit. There is no kitchen soap for hand washing or the dishes (dishwasher only). The hot water lasts about 10-15 minutes at best. Very drafty inside the unit. The bathroom door is magnetically attached to the wall, which has torn quite a bit of the wallpaper off. The light switch for the bathroom is in the hallway, which is strange and frustrating at times. Essentially, it's a nice place that runs out of stock on stuff and just has some bad design choices here and there.

Absolutely fantastic! I️ would recommend this stay for anyone looking to stay out in this area. The Rooms are near to spotless and accommodations that go with it. Absolute no braininer. They even have a relationship with a neighboring gym called blast fitness which you are granted full access to just for staying at this suite. Love the fact that I️. An maintain my healthy lifestyle even when I’m not home. I had the chance to meet the manager of this hotel. Her name is Ksenyia and she went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. Very sweet and professional manager and staff here! I️ wish I️ could give this place more stars! Keep it up Lombard Sonesta!

The Hotel is good. Front office and House keeping staff is really supportive. Restaurent is neat and well maintained.

Great service, excellent breakfast and comfort. Had a wonderful time with Family on Christmas 2017. You will not be disappointed.

Beautiful rooms and very helpful staff! We had two suites with a fireplace and both rooms were drafty and cold even tho we turned the thermostat up. Breakfast was better than most hotels, and they had a reception shortly after we checked in that was nice as well.

Now the sonesta es suites, nice rooms and amenities. Terrible "fitness" room. Decent breakfast and happy hour evening gathering thing, but not incredibly substantial. All in all it won't amaze you, or disappoint.

Love the rooms and service. This is a great hotel for an extended stay unless you want to be asleep at 3 or 4am. Booked for a 2 week stay and 3 of the nights the first week people were yelling and gathering outside my door for hours (apartment type setup) lasting past 3am. If this continues, I wont be back.

The front desk had some really great and knowledge staff and the rooms are larger than expected for the price. Beautiful rooms and area for the hotel as well. Very clean very responsive room service and the complimentary breakfast is pretty good. A great place to stay for just a night or an extended trip. I would definitely stay here again.

The facilty was nice, the room was clean. But the person at the front desk was very rude to us when checking in. Their credit card machine would not take any of our cards (we tried 5 different cards between my girlfriend and I and they all came back as invalid cards. Impossible. ). Instead of acting with concern and understanding we were treated rudely as if were pulling a scam. When we said we didnt have any other cards to use they threatened us with a cancellation fee and said we could pay with cash. So we drove down the street to the bank and used one of the "invalid" cards to get cash out of the ATM. Had no problem there. Weird. We went back and paid for the room and were still treated very rudely by the attendant at the front desk. I understand mistakes and systems problems happen, but there was no reason to treat paying customers so rudely. We will never stay at this hotel again. We chose it because we use Marriott Rewards. Perhaps we need to revisit that decision.

Laura gave me a tour of the renovated property this past summer. All I can say is wow! Modern, clean apartments with full kitchen and love the fireplace! I was there during breakfast time and the food looked delicious! Booking our parents here for their anniversary. Great place for out of town guests to stay!

So my friends and I were in town for a bowling meet and we decided to reserve a room at this hotel. While the staff was very friendly the only drawback was the room. When we arrived, it appeared that housekeeping did not even make it to that room, and if they did, they did a terrible job. Dirty carpets, uncleared countertops (which were COVERED in lotion residue), and to top it off: THERE WAS FOOD ON THE DOOR! I'm not sure how you can justify that. The housekeeper's cart was next door, so I had assumed that the room had been cleaned. Everything about the room was sketchy. Unless I cannot find a room anywhere else nearby, I will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Overall this was a good experience. The pros: The room was spacious and clean. We stayed in a queen suite with a sofa bed. The sofa bed was actually comfortable. The staff was friendly enough, but the evening person was awesome and seemed invested in us having a good stay. So even when things weren't going well, he put forth the effort to improve the situation. Breakfast had a number of options aside from the typical cereal and muffin fare. The cons: The facility is set up condo style and thus you had to walk outdoors to get to your room. We weren't able to locate parking anywhere near our building, and our room was on the back end of a building. The suites and the general set up evidently make this hotel a great place to throw a party and we were unlucky enough to be below one. That was awful, especially with kids. I called the front desk two times, and both times they sent security over. Even after the second call, there was still thumping bass after 11pm. We were able to get the kids to sleep, so we didn't complain again. It did color what would have been an excellent stay. We had considered staying another night, but we opted to check out and will stay elsewhere.

Place is good except for the fire station next to it. You get a lot of fire engine noises.

We stayed at the Residence Inn for three months while we waited for our new home. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. It was a great home away from home. If we do any more big renovations, we know where we will stay!

Excellent place to be in. I have stayed here twice for 2 months and 3 months for business purpose and its no less than home away from home. All basics will be taken care of and will be treated extremely well. Staff is courteous and attentive. And amenities are all there. Give it a go you will not be disappointed.

I stayed at this location last month for a week. March 2012. I paid their nightly rate. I went back on Friday evening. I told the staff I would be extending my stay until Saturday. Staying for a week. I noticed in March a lady with 2 children staying there in March. That same lady was still there. I asked the staff if they offered a weekely rate. I was told no. I asked about the lady and her kids. I was told she pays by the night. REally? 1254.00 a night plus tax on a factory worrkers salary? Right. (I observed her leaving for work. ) My point is when went out to take my walk this morning there was a receipt on my door. I went to the front desk to inquire. They told me they had me checking out. I explained to them that I told the desk clerk last night I would be staying until Saturday. The desk clerk on duty this morning told me they were already booked up. I went on line and guess what? They were not booked up. This cost me a client and a lost client = lost money. Really Marriott Lombard if this is how you are going to treat your paying customers you will not stay in business long! YOU WILL STARVE TO DEATH.

I average around 20 hotel stays a year all over the country and to my suprise I can say this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. Now I have stayed in many big and small name hotels, I like to think I have seen it all. This last weekend I was just looking for a one night get away for my Girlfriend and me just to have another kitchen to cook in, so I didnt want to spend alot of money. This place was perfect I can say I received much better service here than anyother hotel I have ever stayed in. For the price I paid I would not have expected such a nice room, very clean and everything I need they also gave me a log to burn in the fire place. Im sure we have all stayed in nicer rooms but for the price you cant beat it. The staff makes you feel very welcome and that they truly want to make you happy. I have paid $300 a night at other hotels and never felt so welcomed. I will be staying again and again. Give it a shot you will not be disapointed.
