Won’t stay again. Overcharged our card for $30 more than room rate plus tax.

Lobby is gorgeous and elegant. But that is it. Room on 4th floor was awful. Half of the floor was at a slant. So much so that the dresser drawer would roll open and would not stay shut. We had to shimmy a pad of paper in it so that we wouldn’t walk into the open drawer. Told THREE different front desk employees over the 3 days we were there and NO ONE acted like they cared and none tried to help. No hot food. Others we have stayed at over the last month have had hot food that is served in to go containers. Grab bags for breakfast that we could not have until 7:00AM sharp. (It was 6:45AM and we were leaving for the day). Room smelled musty. Ice machines were shut down off at different times throughout our stay. Not the quality that we expect and paid for at all. Extremely disappointed.

Clean rooms nice staff just all around good place.

Our stay was so pleasant. The staff are so friendly. Their breakfast bar is the best we’ve had at a hotel ever.

When you walk in the lobby it’s beautiful and welcoming… it when we got in our room it smelled like mildew and I was looking for the TV channel list that every hotel leaves out for their guests there not only was t one, but the draws I hunted in were guaranteed where the mildew smell was coming from! It was soooo strong and nauseating. We went out on the back patio and went to go back in the hotel, card would t work so someone else offered me his which was white, mine was blue, told the lady at the desk she said she fixed it and my husbands. Went back out and yet again locked out. I went back a second time she said well if if this time doesn’t fix it I don’t know what to tell you. RUDE! So again tried it, it working she was right behind me with a key of her own and was locked out. I asked don’t you have maintenance here? She didn’t answer and said well guess you have to follow the guy around all weekend that card worked to get you in. I said you can’t give me the same type of card? She said. A whole day later and still treated like a homeless person because we are with a baseball team and have kids at breakfast this am and the lady was saying she was gonna walk off her job cuz she had to put food out a 1/2 hr early for all 50 of us to eat before 7am practice. All I’ve heard from everyone that works here is complaining and rudeness. Do not recommend staying here at all!

I stayed at this Holiday Inn Express as a last minute thing and I am really glad I did! The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and he had me in my room in less than 5 minutes. I dread the check in process at most hotels. This was different! Once I got to my room, I found it to be HUGE and it seems like it was recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was awesome! I woke up the next morning and had a greta shower… hot water and great water pressure! I also had a moment to grab the free hot breakfast and it was very good. The usual hotel breakfast stuff, but it was hot and good quality. Overall, a terrific experience in Carmel!

The customer service was excellent especially the breakfast staff. Kim Smith is an asset to Holiday Inn. She is friendly and welcoming.

Very disappointed with this Holiday Inn Express, we have stayed at multiple Holiday Inn Express locations across the country and I’ve always had a great experience, this location was a huge letdown for multiple reasons. First, we killed multiple ants in our room over our two day stay, secondly, the woman working the front desk was very rude and nasty with my husband in the morning which was uncalled for and lastly And maybe most disgusting was the rancid fruit that was put out for breakfast. When I put my hand on an Apple to pick it up my fingers literally went through the flash of the Apple because it was so rotten, over one half side of it… all the other apples had rotten spots and the oranges were completely brown and covered with black dots. Very disappointing… won’t be back and would definitely NOT recommend this location.

If I could rate this negative stars, I would. Terrible experience. Dirty, damp and musty room. Beyond rude and lazy manager. Complete waste of time. We did not stay.
