In my opinion best western muncie is the best in or around muncie.

Had a short weekend away to see my mom. It started out horribly. If you ever go to Muncie avoid Best Western like the plague! I have not traveled a lot in a long time but wow. Remember the guy from Scary Movie 2? He was the receptionist. Remember when he licked his fingers? Well the lady who was supposed to set up the food and do the laundry was that one. She literally licked her fingers ALL OF THEM without a hint of hesitation before preparing a little snack and again after. We got there at 930 and left by 11 after trying the ice cold pool, luke warm hot tub, a moist room, crackly undersized beds, half of us showering in a crappy shower, Logan ending up with hives, possible evidence of bed bugs or at least a dirty mattress. Thank the Lord Fairfield Inn and Suites had two rooms available. Walking in the lobby I felt so much better. Everything was clean, fresh, and like a dream. We all finished showering in the clean hot showers and slept like babies on the amazing comfy clean beds and ended up being woken up by smells of a breakfast being served by a great lady who was clean and well kept. Then we enjoyed a nice work out and a swim in the warm pool room. Every single person we encountered, despite muliple keycard challenges, was pleasant and very helpful. We will never ever ever stay in any place not run by the Marriot brand again.

We rented a suite with a balcony over looking the pool for my daughters birthday. It was a wonderful experience. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pool was cool, the hot tub was warm. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The towels were thick and soft. Out jacuzzi tub was a hit, and large enough for the five young girls to all sit comfortably together. We will definitely be back!

The only reason we picked that hotel was for the hot tub, and pool. We got in the hot tub, it smelled like mildew and old dirty socks. It was very cold, the pool was extremely cold. There were kids jumping in and out of the hot tub and pool screaming loudly. Apparently there was 2 birthday parties going on the time we reserved our stay. It was a nightmare. So we got out, went to our rooms to change and relax. So we tried again the next night and we were excited that there weren't any kids, so we decided to try the hot tub one more time, it was still freezing. I went and the guy to turn it up he said he had to drain it due to the kids there at the birthday party, and it would not be hot until the next day. Well we were leaving that morning. I was very unsatisfied. I also had ask the housekeeper for a few extra towels and she was not polite. She acted like she had to go out of her way to get them. They only nice thing I can say good about the hotel is that the front desk workers were very polite. Would I recommend staying there not at all.

Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant. The desk staff was extremely helpful and accommodating when we needed to extend our stay. Each morning the room was attended by the staff to achieve a comfortable stay each evening. The breakfast and breakfast area were clean and inviting as well as the food being delicious and well stocked. For these reasons and more, we choose to stay at this lovely hotel each time to travel to visit our parents.

Clean enough. Loud thuds throughout the night. Pricey for what it is. The front desk doesn't have amenities such as razors or Advil. Housekeeping. Prepare to hear this 4 times with a hard knocking even if you put a sign on the door. It's pretty frustrating to have to fight off over zealous staff. They are halfway through the door before you say no. We were not given a 'do not disturb' sign and when I asked for one the front desk seemed exasperated to find one. But it didn't even help! Only stayed here for a wedding. Hope I never have to return.

I enjoyed my 3 nights here while my vehicle was being repaired nearby. I felt much appreciation from all of the several different staff members that I encountered for my stay. Clean and well-kept place in and out/through and through. Decent breakfast. No complaints. Good value.

A good value in Muncie — especially convenient to Ball State University. The staff is helpful, the rooms are nice, and it has a great pool. Plus you can walk to dining or it's an easy, short drive to main road or campus.

Cleaning lady stole stuff out of our room while we was at work. We was there with our job and none of the workers cared. We had to call corporate so they would make them review the camera to see who went in our room and that took them 2 days. They talked about how the maid was under investigation where she stole a laptop out of somebody's room and others reported make up and things missing. The managers put us in jeopardy for not firing her before. So we felt very unsafe there. I luv Best Western but WILL NEVER GO BK THERE.

Wonderful stay. Very accommodating to our service dogs. Very quiet. I would prefer rm 232 to EVERYONE especially if you have service dogs or children. Very very clean. WILL stay again! Thank you.

The location of the hotel was perfect for our visit to Ball State. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was ok, but could have been better quality. The pool and hot tub areas were nice, but the hot tub was so cold, we had goosebumps while trying to enjoy it. We ended up going back to our room for hot showers instead.

I brought my daughter and her friend here for a sleepover for her birthday. When I came to check in I was immediately treated like a criminal. The guy at the reception desk was rude every time I approached him to ask for anything. Now we were the quiet group. The room 2 doors down had a party half the night and it wasn't addressed. The swimming area was disgusting and was not cleaned after hours or restocked with towels for the next morning. There were cups all around the swimming area from other guests, but the reception guy made it a point to say something to me about a closed bottle. I was treated VERY rudely the entire course of my stay and will NOT be returning. I will also be contacting my family that stays here regularly from out of town and recommend they stay elsewhere also.

This hotel was clean and reasonably comfortable. It is convenient to Ball State and most of Muncie. We were visiting folks in Anderson and were able to get back and forth easily. My only complaints is that our bed was too soft and the pillows too hard. HVAC system was very "touchy" it was hard to get a good temperature. Central Indiana was experiencing a long and extreme cold snap at the time — — that might have affected the equipment.

The rooms are clean, the hot tub is awesome this time of year and the breakfast has everything anyone would want. This is the first time we made automatic pancakes that ironed them right out on your plate. The lady that worked in the breakfast room was very helpful, nice and fun to talk to. We will visit again when we can.

Room is very clean, space to move around. You don't feel cramped. Checking in was smooth. Great staff. The only thing that needs attention, is the jets on the hot tub and the temperature (needs to be warmer). Will definitely come here again.

Clean, comfortable place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and seems to be recently updated. Rooms are good size and have everything you need to a wonderful stay. Pool area looked wonderful but we did not have a chance to swim. Breakfast is wonderful. They offer a large choice of breakfast items and even have a pancake machine.

Jared and the rest of the staff are wonderful. They are kind and extremely helpful. Our group definitely feels welcome and at home every year when we stay for Ball State Homecoming. We will never change hotels. I only wish the price hadn't gone up this year.

Place was clean, well kept, (nothing appeared old, worn or out of date. ) i would stay there again and recommend it to friends staff was courteous and helpful. Definitely worth the price.

The hotel staff and rooms were wonderful. We stayed here twice during the week. The kids loved the pool, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and Kathy who makes breakfast took the time to talk to us and make sure we were welcome.

The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. Older building but rooms were clean. Overall experience was great. Would stay there again.

Stayed here before. Staff at front desk are awesome, rooms are nice, new a/c and heater units. However, this stay there was a half full water bottle at the sink and the towels were loosely folded.

Besides all the bed bugs and silver fish that were crawling around… and the strong smell of cigarette smoke in my room that was said to be a non-smoking room, it was great! There was a nice selection of prostitutes to choose from, though, hanging out down by the cloudy pool. If ever I have to choose between shooting myself in the rectum and staying there again, I would totally choose that place again, assuming that my gun is out of ammo. Cheers! Oh, and don't forget to pack your own toilet paper. Apparently they can't afford any of that, either.

Decent place to stay. Very nice staff. Everything was clean and comfy. Breakfast was great! Not sure if it's mentioned on the site, but there is no elevator or ice/vending for the 2nd floor. A little bit of an inconvenience, if you have a lot to carry, or need some ice. Anyone with disabilities, need to make sure they are booked on the 1st floor. Very expensive for the quality and the location. I'm giving 5 stars because I don't want to ruin anyone's reputation.

Excellent stay. Clean room with a pool and a hot tub! The best was breakfast. Kathleen in the kitchen is fabulous. A definite credit to the hotel.

I had an excellent party last night at best western! The pool and hot tub was amazing. The breakfast was Davine. And the manger was great I had a full conversation with him about my future career in hotel management and gave me great advice. I'll definitely be going back soon to check out the room with the hot tub in it.

Check in was fine. Hotel was clean. Nice pool. Room very basic but clean. Beds were very bouncy and not comfortable but served our purpose during our stay. Bathroom was very small. My checkout was not so good. They printed my receipt and they had checked out the wrong guest instead of me. Check out took a long time. They never offered me express checkout so that's why I had to go to the front desk. Other than that the hotel was basic and served as a decent clean place to sleep. Minutes down the street from Ball State which was great.

I stayed in room 230. Everything was great. Clean and had a good smell. Staff was very friendly as well. I just wish the direct TV would have worked but it's not the hotels fault and even offered me to change rooms. There is a pool which looked fun and a fitness room.

My and my family rented two rooms at the hotel for Saturday March 18, 2017 for one night. We discovered that hidden under the pillows nut had slid down to right under my daughters body where my young daughter had slept was a big stain of blood that was all the way through to the mattress protector! After assessing that my daughter was in no way bleeding I stripped the bed and took it to the front desk, where they the manager Mr. Patel said he would take care of it. We immediately decided to check out of the hotel for fear of what horrible condition this was, I would like to add that during the night the hotel managers did nothing about multiple children on the upper and lower floors running down the halls and hitting door knobs until 12 midnight and kept setting off car alarms. When I went to turn our key in the manager laughed and said it must of been us that left the blood on the sheet! We had to contact Best Western corporate who contacted the hotel, ONLY then did they call and say the would refund 75% of our STAY within 72 hours. We received no refund within that time frame and had to call back where a different manager Jared was completely disrespectful and blamed us even though that was cleared up, we thought, when we contacted corporate, he was not apologetic.

Excellent front desk staff. Great pool and good Wi-Fi.

The Best Western Motel is a very clean motel with friendly staff my husband stayed here for 4 days they have a very good and fresh breakfast I would stay here again in the future.

A little dated, uncomfortable pillows, breakfast was ok, but the pool was pretty nice!

I am only giving this motel a 1 star because I can not give it a zero and still post the review. I stayed in this motel several times in the past with no problem. In June 2016, my stay was disrupted by bed bug bites that I had a strong allergic reaction to. Unfortunately, I did not understand that the 1-inch diameter red swellings with the bite mark in the middle were from bed bugs, and I stayed there five nights. A family member suggested bed bugs and looked up how to find them. Using a spot-light head lamp, I found one bed bug hiding on the pillow under the pillow case. It looked like a small sesame seed that contracted when I poked it with my finger nail. I also found a tiny black dot on the sheets that smeared red-brown when I drug my finger across it. That is what bed bug feces looks like. The motel reimbursed my medical expenses (Dr. Visit, 10 day course of antibiotics and prednisone) and two of the five nights I stayed there. My request of full refund was denied. If you decide to try this motel, ask to see the room first, look under the seat cushions, in the corners, under the furniture to see if housekeeping is doing its job. Better yet, save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

Friendly staff, very willing to accommodate special requests. Clean, more than adequate breakfast, good variety, good value.

Let's just say you get what you pay for. Furniture was modern, but surrounded by dingy walls. Our sink was clogged upon arrival and when we told the front desk, he couldn't fix and we had to wait until the next day. Next day came and I had to remind the front desk about the sink, in which case he finally fixed it that night. There were used hotel shampoo and conditioner bottles in our shower and a hotel key on the floor. I honestly don't think it was cleaned thoroughly. Not to mention when we left I overheard housekeeping complaining about there not being enough clean laundry for the rooms. We will not be staying here again!

The rooms are decent, your average hotel room. Everything was clean and tidy. We got in late and were out early and had no issues with service. They were very polite and helpful.

The room was great, my only complaint is that the door handle was difficult to open. The location was about 7 minutes away by car, from BSU which was perfect.

Great value for the price. The location is close to Ball State and my family's houses. The rooms are simple and clean, and the beds are in great shape. I've stayed here many times, and it's always pleasant. The staffing is minimal, so sometimes you wait, but I have found them pleasant. For free breakfast, it's hard to complain — lots of hot and cold selections. I only wish the nice swimming pool and hot tub were open earlier in the morning — but it is open late. Quite a good facility.

My room was great and breakfast was too, but the people at the front desk were rude. Maybe even a little racist. I had no other choice but to stay cause it was late. Won't be coming back here.

Willing to come back. Missed the no pets sign but things worked out to my satisfaction. Very importsnt. Wish I had been aware of the balcony acessed room with hot tub needed for medical reasons as well as pleasure.

I believe these reviews were old, coz the hotel now doesn't look anything like what's written down here. I stayed for 4 weeks, got discounted price. The room was very clean and tidy, the bathroom was very clean. The smell was nice. The overall smell of the hotel is little too strong, but I got used to it very soon. I had tv, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hairdrier, and alarm clock in the room. The house keeping changed the sheets and towels, repleced cups and coffee, and cleaned the room daily or as I requested. The breakfast is okay, altho I got sick of same thing everyday. The location of the hotel is good. Right next to two bus routes. Overall I was satisfied with my stay for 4 weeks. All rooms are non smoking.

I had to stay here for a conference at the Convention Center. The rooms were not the best I have seen. The staff was busting their butts to make sure the hotel guests were taken care of. The housekeeping gals Wanda and Bikini were pleasant, although they didn't seem to understand me too well; they made sure we had enough towels and the trash was taken out everyday. I think the management team needs to look into renovating this hotel.

It's a pretty transient place next to a busy university. I didn't expect miracles, and didn't get any. Was a good price, I felt safe, the rooms were clean and the property was well lit at night. Would stay again.
