Horrible experience with the racist bald manager!

The service and room were great. The elevator seemed outdated but was just inspected. The continental breakfast was slightly above average. The staff were extremely friendly.

Everything food is cold employees rude don't no anything rooms nasty.

Breafast is too processed. Staff not so friendly. Took several days for them to remove a dead cat from the property. Property needs some work. Items like soap dispenser not working in public restroom as well as the towel dispenser. The dryer was broke. Location had been good and seems safe with no incidents of cars being broken into as far as I could tell. There are nicer places to stay in this area. Price is what brought us here.

Disgusting hotel and service was very poor. Waiting nearly 20 minutes to check in after a long drive. People in front of use were told they had no clean towels yet and it was nearly 5 pm. Room door wouldn't open b/c it was crooked in frame and to get employee from front desk to "teach" me how to open the door to get it to work. Owners put lip stick on pig. Bathroom was gross with damage all over walls. When they painted the walls they painted right over outlets make some not work. Cabinet doors in dining room falling off hinges. Spend a little extra and go elsewhere.

Hate is a strong word but this place deserves one star! The first room they put us in smelled like the room for all your wet towels and musty clothes. The stench hit you like a mule kick to the face. All I could di is drop my bag and turn right back around. The second room seemed ok until I looked out the window. We were on the first floor and they had a stick in the window because the window lock was broken. This might have been ok if the stick fit the window but it was too long so all someone had to do was pull it open. The stock let me know that they knew the lock was broken and would still book the room in hopes that the guest would not check. The vending machine was almost empty and we were told the person who has the key is out of town and has been for the last 4 days. With my work I have stayed in some off brand places. Thought I was upgrading, guess I wasn't.

I've stayed here 2 separate times with my kids. Once before their remodel and once during. The first thing I'd like to say is the family that runs it are the nicest people ever. I stay at hotels a minimum of 50 plus nights and they are awesome. It is a good value if that is what you want and has a small indoor pool and hot tube. Large clean rooms but don't expect a 5 star hotel at this price point. Breakfast was kinda meh and saw crackhead types at the pool but that's to be expected at this price point.

This place is completely outdated. The room I stayed in had the ceiling peeling. The phone in the room was old and didn't work. The per night rate isn't justified based on the condition of this establishment. I gave it three stars because at least the television, fridge and microwave was up to date.

It was very last minute for my family, we wasn’t planning on staying at a hotel, but after going to Dunes and eating out we was not up for driving back to Indianapolis and the let down and very poor customer service from Best Western I decided to call Quality and the lady Krystina over the telephone and in person was very helpful and as well nice! If it would have not been for her friendly customer service over the telephone we probably would have just went back home! The pool was very relaxing and the room was very clean with the smell of fresh new carpet in the hallways also the breakfast was the bomb and a extremely enjoyable overall experience so I thank you Krystina and for the hotel being worth the trip and money spent! From my family all smiles keep it up, we will more then likely come visit again XO…

Woman at front desk seemed very flustered. General manager was clearly upset and very rude towards her. They were arguing while we were checking in. This made check in very uncomfortable. We were sent to a room that was still being cleaned and had to wait 10 minutes until they were finished since no other rooms were available. We were told they were having issues getting laundry done to finish the other rooms. Very unorganized and poor customer service.

The rooms seemed very well kept and clean. Bathrooms was exceptional. The in I visited offered a breakfast bar in the morning. Had a decent selection of food. Pricing was decent as well.

Very affordable with decent pool and hot tub. Room was very warm air conditioning sucked. Had bad customer service.

The staff was very friendly we was on first floor hall was a little noisy but if u turn ur TV on it was fine we enjoyed our night away will absolutely return.

Staff was friendly, helpful, and went the extra mile to ensure that our extended stay was amazing. Got to know the staff on a personal level, they worked that hard to know their customers and made the stay even better. Rooms were amazing, had plenty of space for my daughter to crawl around in safely, and the beds were so comfortable I almost overslept every day there. Only issue was the breakfast. Eggs and sausage tasted more like rubber, and cereal was clearly reused if not finished from the day before.

My husband and I had an awesome stay. But make sure you have the person who booked the room with you. The hot tub is awesome.

We wanted to book 2 rooms and was told no other rooms available. The room we were in didn't have heat so we were moved to another room, but I thought no other rooms were available. I left my phone in room after checking out and called front desk. I was relieved when I was told they found it but when I went back to get phone, it wasn't there!

The room was good, and the lobby/guest/cafeteria was clean. The complimentary breakfast was not very good. The eggs and the sausage tasted nasty, and the syrup just tasted sour, as if it expired.

A great hotel for shopping and restaurant; easy access into Chicago.

My wife and I booked a stay here online. Upon going to our booked room the key didn't work. No big deal I have had this happen before. We went back to the desk and are room was upgraded by the management. Very applogetic about the key. Talk about above and be on for just having a key not work. Would stay here anytime I travel through here again.

Hotel is off the freeway and close to shopping mall and busy traffic … Hotel very nice and clean. It serve breakfast 6am-9am. Have laundry room and swimming pool… Free Wi-Fi and parking lot…

I stayed at this s location twice and every time we saw some upgrades. Staff is very polite and professional. We will come back again in January.

The breakfast leaves something to be desired. Soy sausage. Stick to a bagel and a boiled egg! The room was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Decent value for the price. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, what more could you want.

Located at a main intersection, within 1/2 a mile of about 20 other hotels. Good value for the price. Beds were comfortable, air conditioner cold. Breakfast was the usual sausage, biscuits, english muffins, egg rounds. OJ was not real, like a Sunny D. Parking was plentiful. 10 minutes from Crown Point sports complex, and 25 minutes from Valparaiso University.

Located near shopping & restaurants. The lobby & room was clean & modern. Staff was exceptional. Good value.

Nice furniture, room pretty clean. Hallway needed vacuuming and smelled of toast and marmalade (weird, I know). The staff was friendly and helpful.

Comfortable and clean. Pool was small but thankfully not busy when we stayed. Complimentary breakfast was a plus. Good choices with waffles and biscuits/sausage gravy topping the list. The eggs were flat round disks and not very desirable, but everything else was good. Great room for the price!

It's in a lovely spot, surrounded by the mall and all type of restaurants. Down the road is the candy factory and deep river waterpark. Great breakfast and lovely services.

Yes, it's an older hotel however it's clean, it's at a great location next to the mall & Restaurants by the highway but the best part is the staff. Great customer service whether it be 12 noon or 12 midnight, the staff will do what they can to make you comfortable. The pool & the Jacuzzi is Small but in the winter will do the job.

The room and accommodations were typical of a modest priced hotel. The room was comfortable but modestly appointed. The free breakfast was adequate but not exceptional. The room was too hot even with the thermostat turned down to 60. Items placed in the mini-fridge actually froze. We were also disappointed to learn that, although not published anywhere, there was a $10 charge to have others swim with us in the pool (non-guests). The Quality Inn was a good bargain and I would certainly stay there again.

Pretty decent for the price. We have stayed here a few times as a quick stop-over before heading into Chicago the following morning. The first time I felt the beds and pillows were the most comfortable I can remember experiencing at a hotel. I was rather surprised, given that it is more of a budget hotel. This time around (a few weeks ago) I did not have the same quality of rest, so not sure if they changed the pillows since the first time or what. That said, for around $75 it still serves as a nice stopping point after four hours of travel from southern Ohio.

Very nice rooms, clean and spacious. Owner was very sweet. Nice quiet place to relax. Also, very cheap for great rooms.

Other than the renovation that is going on around you, its still the one of the best places to rest, after a very long drive…

Where is TOM! y'all need him back! So. Me and my hubby always stay at the Quality Inn when we visit. This has been over the course of two years and have never had an issue always friendly great management team. Well this time 11/23/16 checking in for thanksgiving holiday as normal, I got a surprise the hotel is under new management, I have nothing against Arab's or what ever they where but they seemed to have a problem with me from the time I walked throw the door. I have never been charged a deposit for a room when using my credit card and your not going to tell me that you are going to charge me more than what I have been quoted already so I ask what this deposit is for the rude female behind the counter said just in case something happens I asked what is a 20 buck deposit going to fix she could not give me an answer because she didn't know asked to speak with manager and guess what the manager was her husband who denied me and my husband because I was defending myself against his lying wife who told me well if you use your credit card we will not charge deposit then lied about that and didn't know company policy and asked for his bosses information he picks up the card and throws it at me things could have gotten very ugly at that point because my husband stepped in and advised him not to ever throw anything at his wife again we just said forget it and left after driving all those hours and needing a breathing treatment due to having bad asthma. Worst Experience ever!

It was an "ok" place to sleep after driving 300+… the hot tub was nice for sore muscles! Looks like some renovations are occurring, but for the price couldn't argue! BREAKFAST sucked though… ran out n brought in cold stuff-yuck!

I had an enjoyable experience at the Quality Inn. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was very nice, and I would be willing to return here for a future stay.

The worst quality inn that I have ever stayed. Seen better places in a 3rd world country. Smelled, wondered if I was going to get mugged, the free breakfast wasn't all that, pool area nasty.

We loved it! The employees were excellent! The kids loved the pool and the breakfast had something for all of us. We will definitely stay again when we come to town again!

I reserved 2 rooms in June for an August trip. We went with 2 adults and 5 children. Requested 1st floor next to each other. I got two separate floors. Our room was a PIT! Rips in the comforters, shower head and bath nozzle both hanging from the walls and the AC barely worked. When I confronted management about, this Mr. Patel simply stated it was not like that before we came. On top of this, the hotel charged me twice! I paid in full in June and was ASSURED upon arrival I would not be charged again, yet hours later I was charged another 155.00. No one in the hotel cared about our concerns and were quick to blame us for the damage. I took pictures of everything and posted it under photos. This place doesn't deserve even one star! Back to Comfort Inn and Suites for me!

I read some pretty bad reviews and was afraid to stay after booking the room. However our stay was rather nice. The hotel could use some updates and repairs. It was the most affordable for me and my family and was certainly worth the money I spent.

Literally the WORST experience we've ever had at a hotel. We found bed bugs in our room! The night manager (not tom) was rude and less then helpful. We had to drag 7 kids all under the age of 11 to a new hotel at 2am. Even after my husband took pictures of the bugs and even put the bugs in a envelope the manager still wouldnt refund our money. It took me causing a scene and calling the 1800 for quality inn to get refunded the next morning for the two rooms. Also we were not refunded the 180 we had to pay for a new room at the other hotel.

Tom is an awesome personality. He truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcomed and his service skills are excellent. He was the one thing that stood out.

I have stayed at quality inn's before, this is more like a motel 6. Actually I have stayed at motel 6's better than this one. Have to deal with the front desk 3 times thought our our one night stay due to the fact both our room keys would not work, and each time told us "we just must have been doing something wrong"

Erin was so kind! After a long drive it was so nice to be welcomed. This Quality is one of the nice hotels.

I always stay at Quality and other Choice Hotels. Great service and accommodations and friendly staff. Never disappointed.

I had been staying in the area for a couple weeks in different hotels. This is probably the best in this price group. Splendid house keeping. Warm breakfast, good rooms, friendly and cordial receptionists and hotel staff.

Tv broke, toilet broke, sink drains slow and sucks cock vending machine sucks.

Just because I didn't tell the hotel clerk up front I was an AARP member he said he couldn't give the discount to me. So I went else where about a block away.

Really rude front desk clerk when asked about AARP discount for my dad went on a rant because he would have to start all over. Hadnt even quoted a price but asked how we wanted to pay.

I stayed in the Quality Inn in Merrillville. The hotel itself is nice and the staff friendly and helpful. However, it is in the middle of other bad hotels.

Front desk staff was great very kind and knowledgble, room was great very clean, had a Whirlpool king room, services great I would recommend staying here food was great.

We loved our stay here. It was very relaxing and cozy. Thank you for keeping it nice and clean for us.

Dirty linens on the bed, cable didn't work, no air in our room. Was told we could swap room but apparently they were all that bad. Lots of folks complaining this morning about several of the same issues. Hope someone got a refund or discount, we were told we would get a discount because of the issues, but surprise, surprise, no discount. The manager told us what we should've done instead of making good on his promise of our discount. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone I know. Next time we'll sleep in the car.

This particular employee made some very excellent suggestions for our family stay. He was also very polite and informative. We wish everyone we ran into was as personable as this excellent employee. He also deserves a raise.
