I was startled awake to the housekeeping staff shouting at each other outside my door. I have video and audio. Although the front desk did apologize, I was appalled at the way it was handled.

Wonderful ambiance and the walleye was delish.

Great food, fantastic cocktails overall a very comfortable place to stay!

Awesome banquet halls, super friendly staff, tasty breakfast buffet and omelets. I love the retro furnishings and decor. I had an enjoyable stay.

Stayed two nights in Fort Wayne with my 2yr old son and family, I will definitely will stay here again when visiting Fort Wayne, the staff was very friendly and accommodating, very clean hotel room, overall an amazing stay, Thank You so much:)

This place is truly a hidden gem in the Summit City! The staff was outstanding. The lobby made me want to get cigar and the finest scotch. The standard room we stayed in was a touch dated… but clean, smartly decorated and was pretty darn good. Have stayed at other properties in this area at this price point… Hall's blows them away! The breakfast was a sit down, choices, and above all good… even better included!

Was clean hotel. A little dated but well kept. Breakfast was included but only had limited choices. It was good though and served quickly as sit down breakfast. Location was convenient to things but not scenic.

I booked the Jacuzzi Suite dinner and breakfast package for my boyfriend and I as a birthday gift for him. It was great, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the whirlpool was amazing. The only thing I would've changed is the air condition unit in our room was super noisy and we ended up turning it off. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stay here about once a month. Clean rooms, friendly service, excellent food, and fun entertainment in a great location! New Year's Eve is a fantastic night. Easter Brunch and Mother's Day Brunch are the bomb! Will continue to patronize the Guesthouse as long as they continue to do what they're doing!

I live coming here! The hot tub is great and the pool is warm! My little kids can actually touch! The beds are very comfortable and have a very soft blanket on them between the sheets and comforter. Water pressure is good and the give u ust enough towels but are willing to give more. Bar and restaurant at the hotel make it a date night. Plus a complimentary breakfast in the morning and had delicious choices!

Exterior leaves a poor first impression but the interior sure makes up for it. The slick, old fashioned decor makes it a memorable experience. The room I had was great as well despite a few very minor issues. Breakfast was great. It's not a buffet but they cook the meal fresh right there. Eggs were delicious. The dinner was excellent as well. Hot and fresh food and good alcohol and great servers.

Classic hotel with classic outdoor pool area. My family has our reunions here. I have been stopping at Hall's Guesthouse for years and highly recommend. The Hall family have consistently upgraded and improved this hotel.

Good place for dinner. The bar is comfortable, not too loud. Live music later in the evenings.

A great place to stay if you want to just relax for an evening in stead of having to find food somewhere. Hands down the best hotel restaurant if ever tried, breakfast, and dinner. Prime rib, walleye, pasta, waffles, fruit, you get the idea. The lounge looks like it was sliced right out of a movie. Indoor and outdoor pool. The only negative was my associates room climate control was broken and it was a hot night, and the hotel was packed. With the age of the building things are bound to happen, everything looked well kept. It must have been bad luck.

It's … different. Like an old large Holiday Inn. Inside courtyard view rooms and outside parking lot view — for smoker access I guess. I had the courtyard 'Elvis' suite! V comfortable and clean. Had an excellent prime rib dinner and made to order (free) breakfast. Staff friendly and efficient. It's different from your chain hotels — — no points and no evening free drinks and snacks! But, it has a great bar and restaurant.

Sometimes you just want a good meal at a fair price and a little entertainment in a cozy atmosphere. Weekends are the best here.

This is a little bit of an older establishment, but our room was very clean and fresh, bed and pillows very comfortable. The hot tub and pool were being well used while we were soaking but we enjoyed our young company! Prime rib dinner in the Guest House Bar and Grille was excellent, although we were slightly disappointed that the the band (and a back up band) had cancelled due to situations beyond the hotel's control. We were more than compensated for that on Sunday when our breakfast vouchers were accepted for their fabulous Mother's Day brunch! Our front desk, housekeeping, and wait staff ALL treated us as tho we were family — We highly recommend staying here!

We are here for my son's soccer tournament. They allowed us to check in early so that we could relax between games! So nice! Room was great.

Updated a bit. I love the traditional style lobby. Rooms were ok but shared balcony is a non starter. They really need to change this.

Staff was very unfriendly and rude. The day waitress at the bar was the friendliest out of all staff. Our room was 90 degrees and we called front desk maintenance came but it was not fixed we had to sleep with the door opened so needless to say we did not sleep. We went down for breakfast and were seated in the back in a corner like we weren't good enough to be there. They did not offer to switch rooms. We almost left in middle of the night but was to far to drive home. We will never stay there again and will not recommend to anyone. I have never felt so unwelcomed as I did here.

Great room nice pool and hot tub only down fall is the restraunt if u order room service it is 5.00 delivery and 20% gratuity to walk down a hallway and bring ur food…

Loved it the front desk lady was so nice and have us a great room for my teenage daughter that just turned 15. She loved the room we all loved the room.

The room was very clean. The food was excellent. The staff was polite and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Nice place for a getaway, took a trip from Ohio, looking for a place close to a restaurant, bar that we didn't need to drive, we always liked Don Hall's restaurants, and found this place, had a real good supper, had a couple of drinks, there was good entertainment in the lounge, and didn't have to drive after a few drinks, and they throw in a real good breakfast buffet, couldn't ask for more, the servers, bartenders, hotel staff all very friendly, will go back and do this again, m.

Not wheelchair friendly, other wise great! Old school 50's, 60's atmosphere. Entertainment very good. Good food! Yummy prime rib! Pizza reminded me of a frozen crust. Service people are very friendly!

We stayed from Friday to Sunday with breakfast included. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of the staff. We had one of the best waiters we've ever had (thanks to Julius) he was fast, efficient and extremely friendly. The front desk ladies were always helpful and on top of there game. The pool needed some cleaning it had a lot of dirt in the bottom as well as the hot tub. The room had ants and dead bugs falling from the ceiling. The shower appeared to have some type of mold below the faucet. There were cob webs on the bathroom wall and one of our blankets had a very large stain on it. Also our fridge was broken and didn't work. Plus the parking lot was pure ice you'd think a place like this would keep the parking lot clean. The only thing that makes this place worth coming back is the staff other than that if you don't like filth there are plenty of other choices. I'm sure I'll be choosing something else next time.

The best hotel I've ever been to I love the amazing service and Tamra Brattain is one of the best inspectors its totally worth the stay.

Don't call me racist, because, I have to say it was very nice to stay at a hotel that was ran by local Americans and everyone spoke English, that is a rare find theses days! We stayed on a Friday, and had the breakfast and dinner included. The dinner was very tasty, we both had the prime rib, my husband had his well done and it was still moist and flavorful. The dress ranged from office wear to shorts and tee shirts, the breakfast was a buffet and also very good, could have used some toast but barely worth a mention. There was a live band at night for free, there are plenty of places to smoke outside, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was separated by a sliding door, then a sink area with a mini fridge, coffee pot, and ironing board, the tub and toilet had a door, very clean but very small. Not sure why, but the shower didn't have a lot of water preasure, probably that new efficiency faucet, but it worked. There was a door from the hall and a door from the parking lot, we stayed on the first floor. It would be a nice update to add an elevator for those who don't do stairs, there are multiple entries though. Overall it felt safe, it smelled good, it was clean, the A. C. Worked, the price was very competitive, the food was good, and everyone who works there is very friendly, and helpful. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others! We also always try to support family owned business, check out HALLS history.

We had a great experience here at the Suite. Jacuzzi was worth it! Love the overall updated room (though I think the bathroom is overdue for renovation). Heated pool and hot tub are very nice. Restaurant dinner/breakfast both convenient AND very well done. We did have a bad experience with making an online reservation last year for our anniversary, which they called the week prior and said the suite was actually not available. They made no effort to remedy the problem. That was very frustrating and so my reason for 4 stars. This time we reserved over phone and no issues.

The hotel was a bit dated, but very clean and cozy. It was a lovely hotel and the food was amazing. My fiancé and I no doubt will definitely stay here again, as we travel to Ft. Wayne frequently. It was a wonderful stay, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the building and interior was charming and pleasantly nostalgic!

I love this place love the pools and hot tub. I love the breakfast in the mornings. I would recommend this place to eveyone. Its a cozy place that feels like home.

Food was delicious but service is sub par. I am still currently here. There are 4 of us that have been here since 6. Service started out ok but now we haven't seen out server for 45 minutes and really need to leave to make a play. We keep hearing people in the kitchen chanting "Katie, Katie, Katie! "… It would be nice if they were as enthusiastic about their service as they are about Katie…

This is our second time staying. My husband's company sends him up here for training. We love it. The rooms are cozy and very well kept for an older hotel, the guesthouse lounge restaurant in the hotel has awesome food, there is both an indoor and outdoor pool, and they have a little courtyard in the back that is landscaped nicely and has benches so you can sit out and enjoy the weather.

Room was very nice and comfortable, hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Only complaint with the hotel was the freezing cold hallways! Walking back to our room from the pool was a bit much for the kids. The halls are obviously unheated. The Guesthouse restaurant was a little disappointing. Prime rib was overcooked for all 3 who ordered, and service was slow for breakfast and dinner. Menu choices are limited. I would recommend going when they have a buffet, we have been before and it's amazing! Overall, still a great deal for room, breakfast, and dinner included in one price.

Don't let the front entrance and lobby fool you. Looked at on line reviews and they seemed OK so we booked 3 nights there. What a mistake. Rooms need complete renovations and we had to be moved from one because of the disrepair. Holes in the carpets, ceiling was wet at one time, rusty sink fixtures and drains, missing toilet parts, delaminating mirrors. Out of controll air conditioning, everything right out of the 70's etc etc. Spend a little more and go to a nicer place. The maintaince man could not of cared less. The free breakfast was just that — free and it tasted that way too. Runny powdered eggs. Strange tasting orange juice, low cost Danish and a disgruntled waitresses. Do yourself a favor — stay somewhere else you will be happy you did. Will not stay here ever again.

Very outdated… Let's start with the fact that there is no elevator and we were never advised after checking in. Which brings me to the next issue… we we given 2 keys. I haven't been to a hotel in the past 15 years with a key to room not to mention the room number in big bold letters on the key. God forbid that I accidentally drop/lose my key… anyone would have immediate access. After climbing the stairs to the 2nd floor with 5 bags I finally reached my room and the horror continued… The telephone was one series past a rotary dialed phone, the sink faucet and shower outdated, the TV guide was soaked and smeared to the point it was illegible and disgusting, the 1945 bottle opener at the bathroom door? Not sure who isn't using a twist cap plastic bottle these days, the metal tissue box screwed ty the wall as you walk into the bathroom, the piece of chocolate left under one bed, the red bic lighter under the other, both beds have dust bunnies for years to come, one bed has black fuzzballs on the pillows and sheets while both beds sink in like fluffy waterbeds, but most of all the bugs are visible. stay your own risk…!

The perfect place for us. Hospitality is graciously offered at every turn. We couldn't ask for a more perfect place to stay.

Not a 4 star hotel. Gratuity charged on free items at the hotel restaurant. Room was fairly comfortable but requires updating and remodeling. Will not stay here again.

Been here twice now, once for last year for honey moon and once for our 1st year anniversary. Love it! Great environment with an older but high class touch. Food is really good too and the servings are huge!

Great place to stay, everyone is friendly. Only complaint is my room stayed about 60 degrees the time I was there, no matter how many times I played with the thermostat.

Great place to stay and very affordable! Full bar and restaurant right off the lobby makes it a one stop deal! They even have live entertainment in their bar on the weekends, and with the indoor pool and hot tub, plus great outdoor courtyard and pool the amenities are endless!

This is a great place in a great location! Tim Hall, Melissa and the staff are great! The breakfast and restaurant are high standards. Having breakfast in the restaurant I met a group of bicyclers all in their 80's. They came from all over the US and they had set 4 new world records. They were making plans on returning to Don Hall's Guesthouse next year. I recommend staying there also!

The customer service is great but the rooms are not up to date. The carpet is dirty and the sinks run slow as if clogged with some thing. The Heat/AC really just blows cold air that is all. For the money that is spent staying there, I will look for somewhere a little cleaner the next time.

I have stayed here for work n pleasure. Everytime, it's been a pleasant, friendly and clean experience. Great food n staff. Can't not think of anything 2 complain about. Thank u Don hall employees.

Old school fun! I've stayed here a lot on business travel this year, and it's a really unique, fun place to stay. It's very retro in the decor of the lobby and common areas, yet they have super-fast Wi-Fi (upgraded earlier this year) and every room has a flat panel TV with 60+ channels of real high-def programming including Showtime, AMC, TNT, TBS, all the ESPNs, and Big Ten Network (TV was also upgraded this year — not stretched out, blurry standard def). King rooms have very large TVs and a La-z-boy recliner. Standard double rooms have much smaller TVs and no recliner. First floor rooms have both an interior door to the hallway, and an exterior door to either the parking lot or gazebo/pool area. One note — this place is exceptionally clean. The rooms and bathrooms are always spotless, the linens smell fresh, the indoor pool and whirlpool is perfectly clean, and the public restrooms are also very clean and always smelling of bleach. As others have written, the food they serve in the restaurant and lounge is VERY good — seafood, pasta, steaks, prime rib, and really good burgers. The home-made pizza looks good too but I haven't tried it. Breakfasts are also excellent, served in a large buffet. Don't judge a book by its cover.
