Exceptionally attentive staff, extremely clean rooms.

The staff is great! the room is spacious and there's enough parking for trucks! Complementary Wi-Fi is helpful too! Brenda and Ro are both helpful and good people, highly recommend this place.

Nice fitness rm. Very friendly staff.

Tabitha was beyond rude and unprofessional. She called me horrific names and even threatened me. I am still in shock by what just happened. Skip this place go to extended stay down the street, they know what customer service is.

Manager is extremely deceitful.

Friendly and helpful. Staffs did hurry clean one special room cuz I need walk in shower and plus smoke alarm flasher cuz I'm deaf… morning, you end lady is very helpful to call taxi… breakfast free.

The breakfast was good and they had coffee all day. The rooms were spacious and cleaned daily. Overall a very good hotel.

Great place to stay. We stayed a week. Convenient location! And, all staff were very friendly especially Diane the breakfast host was super friendly!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were a nice size. Everything was dated. The hotel lacked in cleanliness (the bed particularly). We asked for the linens to be changed and they offered a different room. I checked the second room, and it was the same as the first. We gathered or belongings and checked out at that point.

Location easy to find and close to my work event. Rooms are very nice. However the carpets in the hallway smell a little bit… Not the worst thing in the world I just think they need a shampooing. Overall very good.

Convenient location and lots of restaurants close by. Staff was very friendly, especially the breakfast attendant Diana. Loved the cinnamon rolls. Room was clean. The carpets we're cleaned the day of arrival, so it felt a little damp. Would recommend new sheets, as they felt a little old. Would stay again, if in the area!

Picked this hotel based on reviews and photos which I will not do again. While it was convenient to where were having an event, the Hotel was not as I expected. It was well worn and tired looking putting it nicely. Most people walking into a hotel may go. Oh this is nice but walking into this hotel I went oh is THIS really what we picked? Can a place be clean but look dirty at the same time? The answer to that is YES. SO bottom line is for the price I guess it's ok if your not concerned with how it looks or feels or having a few bugs on the bathroom floor. Hey just step on them, lol! The outside of the Hotel is dirty and strewn with cigarette butts. That was disgusting. On an upnote, mist of the people working here were nice. Would I recommend this to any of my friends? NEVER.

Location is fine. Room was decently clean but needs a deep clean as there were crumbs on the side of the bed near the wall and behind the TV. The Keurig didn't work but they brought me a replacement. Water never got hotter than lukewarm which was the worst part. Areas in the bathroom has that pink slime in some corners. Breakfast was great though. Common areas really need to be vacuumed regularly.

We had a nice room. Asked for a room for 5 people, had one king size bed and one queen pull out couch, had to have the 5th person bring an air mattress. Walls are extremely thin and you can hear a lot. Temperature was good and location was great. Friendly workers.

Dated! Not a typical Holiday Inn Express. So so breakfast, no "hot" food options for vegetarians. Good location, well connected with PACE.

The location is near few restaurants and supermarket. Rooms is spacious and cozy. Sufficient amenities are available. Service is great.

The hotel was rather comfortable and it was very close to many stores and restaurants the room was clean and the staff was very kind would definitely stay again.

Rooms were for most part clean and friendly staff. Breakfast was cold eggs, dry cold biscuits, good warm gravy and great hot coffee. Automatic pancake maker easy to use, but pancakes were like rubber.

This is a classic, clean, cozy hotel. I’ve stayed here a few times and I enjoy it. A good stay for the price!

My wife and I are proud members of IHG brands because of the service that we have gotten over the years, and Char at the Holiday Inn Express in Downers Grove Illinois made sure our experience was amazing. We had a small issue but she went above and beyond to take care of us, with a smile on her face. If you do stay here, and interact with her you are a very fortunate person because she makes this hotel proud!

Perfect place to lay your head at an unbeatable price. If you only need a hotel for a place to stay and sleep, this is a great option. And they have new Beautyrest beds!

This hotel was extremely difficult to deal with. The night lady, although nice, was hard to understand and very unknowable. The information we received when making the reservation was nothing close to the information we received when we arrived. A co-worker and I were reserved a room for a week while we were in the area for training. Our boss made and paid for the stay over the phone. However, when we arrived this was absolutely not the case. Long story short, I had to pay for the room. Yes, I will be reimbursed, however, I think the management could have done a better job of correcting the bad information we were originally given. We were also told that if we brought our tax exempt letter, it would be honored, it wasn't. Next was the room. The a/c did not work, even after they "fixed" it at least once. When we informed them it was not fixed, they really didn't seem too concerned because it was cool outside and didn't understand why we would need the air conditioner. Oh well… Guess that's why there are other hotels to stay at. According to the boss. We will be staying at one of those on the next trip up. On a good note, the breakfast muffins are pretty darn good.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Low pet fee. Easy access to highways and good location.

The first room we had the door lock would not open. Went down to get new keys and was given a new room. That room along with others on the third floor looked like the door was pried open a few times. Didn't feel very safe. The whole hotel looks like it needs a remodel, extensive one. The breakfast don't count on it. We saw several guests at a breakfast restaurant across the street after our second morning there. Not the best.

Great location, good food nearby. No light leaking in from drapes. I'm a fan.

Nice holiday Inn express, I stay here whenever I am in the area for work. Friendly staff, within walking distance of many options for dinner. Only downfall was their computer system was down this time so checkin was slow but I can't hold that against them.

The room was not clean, had a hair brush with hair on the chair in my room. The furniture is very old and scratched all over. Only thing I liked was the breakfast and coffee.

We've stayed here before. The staff was nice and professional. Will stay here again when we're in the area. It has easy access to the surrounding areas using the toll roads.

Location and service are both great, plenty of restaurants, bars and stores nearby. Rooms are nice and kept up well by the cleaning staff. My room on the second floor was 80+ degrees when I checked in, even though the thermostat was set to 72. If this happens to you, I just turned the heater off and it seemed to settle to normal room temperature.

This hotel has a great location right off of I-355, and a friendly staff. However, it's age is starting to show and needs renovated. Just a short drive from Morton Arboretum and a variety of food and shopping options.

Welcomed when we got in, room was clean and comfortable, and no real trouble with breakfast. If you're looking for a nice stay for a cheap price, it's a great hotel.

The breakfeast is amazing and HOT. The staff is absolutely courteous and nice. They are all polite and will help you the best they can with rooms and accomidations. Slight down side is the rooms are dated and the hotel used to be a smoker friendly. Little bit of mold in one of the rooms but like I said they were more than reasonable with switching us out :)

The staff here was incredibly friendly and they all seemed to genuinely enjoy their jobs. This was great. My room was as described, ready early for me, and very clean. They do offer free breakfast in the morning too. Price seemed a little high for this caliber of hotel a but I would stay here again.

I loved the location of this hotel. Easy to get too among the busy Chicagoland area. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Only thing stopping a five star is the inside could use a face lift.

This is a fairly nice hotel, the rooms are quite, can't here any noise from the surrounding rooms. Unfortunately the rooms are rather dim and the appointments are dated. The rooms are in need of a make over. One huge downside is that they still allow smoking in some rooms, the smell permeates throughout the building. All in all, not a bad value for the Chicago area.

Stayed for a weekend for my nephew's graduation. Continental breakfast in the morning was very good. It was extremely busy while we were there, the staff was amazing! Very close to shops and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable. Very happy with our stay.

Good location. Lots of restaurants and shopping centres close by. Malls, Wal-Mart, Costco — — all within 10 minutes. I was worried after reading some of the reviews. However, my room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. No real complaints about the room, except that the air conditioner is a bit noisy. All of the staff I encountered were very nice!

I was wary of the negative reviews I've read here, but I had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room and common areas were all extremely clean, the free breakfast options were many by comparison to other continental breakfasts I've seen, and despite the large number of groups that seemed to be at the hotel over the weekend, there was no excess noise at night. Fantastic housekeeping and food & beverage staffs.

I try to stay at holiday inn express everywhere I travel and the upgrades they are making are fantastic for the business travelers! This one hasn't been updated in a long time! The excellent staff cannot make up for the deficiencies in the hotel itself! No microwave or fridge in the room, spotty Wi-Fi. I wouldn't recommend this holiday inn express! Not up to the normal standards I have grown to enjoy with this chain!

I went there for a work related meeting, it was ok the projector didn't work for us in the "Illinois" room, so we had to come around and look on the directors laptop, it was also an inconvenience that they didn't have any cream or sugar in our conference room only coffee nothing else, if u wanted cream and sugar or tea, hot chocolate or a straw, u had to walk out and get it from the main lobby. But I did like that they had the computers and printers in the main lobby ready to be used when u needed them. The hotel was ok so I gave it 4 stars.

It was comfortable but the bathroom did not flush properly. Other than that it was very welcoming.

The hotel lobby was clean as well as the rooms. But the most important thing about this hotel to note is that the service was exceptional. The front desk staff Latrice and Andrea were extremely accommodating, going out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable and easy. Thank you holiday inn downers grove! Amazing hotel, affordable price. Five star experience.

Very high quality hospitality, you can tell the maids care, may not look super nice but it's nice on the inside and worth the stay! Decent price, great breakfast! Wish there was a hot tub.

The room was clean and very nice looking when I arrived. When I departed, I accidentally left my hat in my room. I went back later and the staff was extremely helpful and returned my hat.

This place is disgusting! I had my doubt at checkin but when ahead and took the key to see the room. After we seen it, We left and called our reward company to find us another place to stay. There is an odor and the room was nasty! The bathtub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks! The area is pretty nice so don't be fooled by that. What an embarrassment to holiday inn!

The hotel is very outdated, the bathroom is entirely too small, the central air unit was not working properly; it was lukewarm air running rather than cool and the beds were VERY uncomfortable! It is time to remodel and update. The only thing positive I will say is that the staff was friendly.

The prices are acsequible very, excellent care, aceados.
