This was a pleasant place to stay. Very clean, updated, convenient to downtown. We requested a refrigerator, and received one. They allow animals and charged one fee for a two night stay, that amounted to $25@night. The staff were friendly and accommodating, especially the valet parking guys. Additionally, the valet have a text web link that made requests for the car immediate. We'll be back!

Staff was very friendly. Hotel is very clean and well managed. They are doing construction on the outside of the building by the entrance but the staff is working seamlessly to make sure it doesn't effect guests. I booked on the IHG app, and was told parking was available but not that I had to pay. I should of figured it would cost since it is in the heart of Chicago, but didn't think to ask, and wasn't told till I pulled up. Not their fault though, just FYI.

My stay, overall, was positive at the Crowne Plaza, with one exception: they only offer valet parking and, upon returning to the hotel around 11:00pm, their valet was nowhere to be found. After notifying the front desk, they weren't able to locate him/her, and after waiting for over an hour (with several other guests) I ended up just grabbing a valet number from the booth and parking in their valet loading zone. The next day I asked to have the parking fee removed (they obliged with no fuss) and they mentioned that the valet had an emergency/didn't show up. That's understand, but you'd think someone else in the staff could fill in, if that is literally your only option to park at the hotel and you charge $50 per night. I do appreciate them comping my parking though, given the circumstances.

Very nice staff really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent. The barman was a really friendly chap. If I had one criticism it's that for the money this hotel costs the rooms are very dated. The floor of the bath had cracks in it and I would also expect a small fridge in the room. All in all though a great stay.

We had a horrible experience here. The staff at reception and the foyer were very unhelpful and rude. They seemed to have an issue with the fact that we booked our stay via another website which gave us like a 10$off! They guy at reception kept repeating the fact that we booked through the other website and seemed rude about it. My international card did not work and so I had to sit in the foyer with a huge suitcase, backpack, stroller and my toddler after a 10-12 hour road trip, to wait for my sister who had gone to park the car to return. I offered to pay a cash deposit so I could go to the room, but was told they don't do that anymore.

Hotel is very well maintained and clean. All of the various staff personnel we're very hospitable and helpful. My only gripe is with the lack of a mini-fridge, really. But it's a business hotel so it's kind of expected that we'll expense it all… All around a good experience.

Location is good and they seem to renovating the place, making it nicer. Scored it lower because it lacks the personal touch and an effort to cater to clients. I had asked for an extra half hour before check out to finish up an important project but was coldly asked to leave. Most hotels I stay in at least try to consider such minor requests. No worries, there are plenty other hotels to choose from.

Hotel stay was great. VERY CLEAN! Very comfortable bed and allowed late checkout. Awesome city view. WILL stay again on my next trip. Thanks Crowne Plaza!

Always a good stay, except now due to construction all around and $h! # parking situation (temporary). Great location. Good staff.

Has a nice shuttle service and good clean rooms. Not really within walking distance of attractions but the shuttle kind of makes up for it. All in all, a nice place to stay. There is a restraint in the hotel as well.

Stayed here for a meeting. Good place. Near and clean no complains whatsoever. Little pricey for one night but worth it.

Excellent service. Excellent staff. The check-in process was simple, and the room plus amenities were quite satisfactory.

Crowne plaza West loop was a very nice place to stay. It was extremely fancy with a huge grand entrance and lobby and 6 elevator banks. Staff were friendly and attentive. My key card stopped working on 2 different occasions and for both they took care of me right away and apologized profusely. Parking was required through the valet though for $49 a night. You'd have to text an app and it would take them 20 minutes to go get your car.

If you stay at this hotel, CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD! I was charged $150 for a "stolen desk lamp. " When we entered our room, we did not have a desk lamp. They refunded me the $150, but really should have refunded the whole bill. Our stay was awful from the start. First red flag: the ice machine was broken on our floor and we were told to just call the front desk and have some ice delivered to our room. When we called the front desk they said to go to a different floor for another ice machine… okay, fine. When we went downstairs to the restaurant, they refused to seat us and said we had to eat at the bar. We noticed people were sitting in booths so we weren't sure why that was an issue…? When 2 seats finally opened up at the bar, we sat down. Waited and waited to be served. They really should have had 2 bartenders. The food was AMAZING! After dinner, we attended a concert. When we got back, our door handle looked broken and our key wouldn't work. We nearly had to break in (twice). We were also pretty cold and decided to turn on our heat. Turns out, that was broken too. At 1am, 2 maintenance workers came in and tried to fix it. They offered us to switch to a different room with a queen size bed. We both did not want to pick up all our stuff at 1am so we declined and asked for a discount for the inconvenience. The next morning, starting at 7am, the construction workers started their day. When we went outside, we were right next to all the work being done.

Great location in the middle of greektown, right off the highway. Rooms were new, clean, and nice amenities, but what set it apart was the staff … Simeon at the front desk was AWESOME. Everyone else was great too.

Really good service provided by every staff member we encountered. They were all very friendly and helpful. The only complaints we have about the room as it was cold and the thermostat wouldn't raise the temperature. Also, the toilet runs and at one point a hose came off and flooded the bathroom. This should have been reported to maintenance because a room attendant would have noticed the running when the toilet is cleaned. The rest of the room ok was comfortable and nicely appointed.

I booked a room & drove over 2 hours. When I got there, the guy at the front desk said my card was declining. I kindly asked him to double check if he put in the correct card number. He insisted it was right and did not care to double check. He canceled my reservation. I called my bank & found out that he put in the wrong expiration date. Not only did he make me look like a broke fool, but he was rude. I called the manager and she gave me a gift card for a free stay. I hope that when I go back, he has to be the one to check me in again.

Nice place. Great location. Only disappointment was the hotel vending machine does not take debit cards. We had to go out in that wind to Walgreens (but it is next door) for a Coke Zero. Brr!

Hotel is in a great location and was easily accessible. It was a short walk from Union Station but there were plenty of cabs and Ubers/Lyfts in the area for when walking wouldn't work. The rooms were very nice and only need a little work done for upkeep. We enjoyed the on-site bar and the fitness facility a lot. Very good property.

From what I’ve seen of the hotel, it’s not bad once you get inside! As of this writing, a parking garage is being built and there is usually a lot of congestion when I arrive for my weekly Mary Kay success meeting however, the valets are very accommodating. The hotel appears (from the lobby) to be modern and up to date. The food is palatable and the service is very good.

Great place, good customer service, great location. Easy access to all restaurants on Randolph, and still within walking distance to the lake. $50 for overnight parking is kind of stiff, otherwise nice stay.

This place could be a decent hotel, save for the nefarious billing practices. I'm here on business, contracted by a company who has paid for the room; their card was authorized to pay for the stay, taxes, and parking. Upon check — in, they ran my card for "incidentals. After the first night, they charged my card 62.50. After the second, 50.00. I called, and they apologized, saying they made a mistake about which card to charge. They assured me no further charges were imminent. The next night 18.00, and that following 122.50. I've yet to make a single "incidental" purchase. I've shut my card off to keep any more money from being stolen. My next review is to the better business bureau.

Hotel is nice enough with comfortable beds and pillows. Location is good for lots of eating places. Lots of construction right now next to the building but not a lot of noise from it (I was on the opposite side). Time to get from valet in the morning took 30 minutes but there is a nice app you can use to request your car.

Nice rooms with clean, comfortable beds. Friendly staff, nice modern design in rooms and lobby. Just make sure to read the fine print in reservations, we got a discounted rate though a hotel membership, and because the room was "discounted" we no longer got breakfast included.

For the price you could easily do better in a city with vast options. Rooms are dated, there are no power outlets on the desk or lamps. Water pressure in the shower was quite anemic. If this wasn't booked through work I would have checked out and found nicer options with no advanced booking for cheaper. Decent neighborhood with good dining options.

The front desk isn't the kindest… They seemed rude every time you spoke with them… the valet deserve 5 stars… They are amazing… I told them that we were on our honey moon ahead of times (called 3times) and that we were coming from Toronto… They literally did nothing for us… At least free parking would have been nice but nope…

Convenient location off the interstate. The room was clean and comfortable. Concierge was pleasant. Restaurant served an excellent breakfast. Short ride to United Center.

Location is good but a little bit away from the primary downtown area east of here. Very close to a whole foods. Nice lobby and very good breakfast buffet even though the restaurant decor is a little tired. Nice features and amenities. I got a nice corner suite room which was nice and I liked the multiroom layout. Included microfridge. Staff was excellent and very friendly.

The room was comfortable, service was good. Sadly, they do not offer free breakfast, but they do have room service if you don't mind paying for it. Check in and checkout were quick, with good service from the employees at the desk.

This was a great hotel to stay at. Check-in was easy and the staff were very friendly. I arrived at the managers happy hour andbI had an excellent local beer. The room was very clean. They even provided some aromatherapy oils and spray for sleeping. I will definitely stat here the next time I am in Chicago.

It's a good hotel, you can't say otherwise. But it deserves renovation.
Compared to the one in Geneva, and in view of the price, it is even bad. The heating makes noise, the flushing makes its own, the insulation is far from perfect.
The bed is comfortable.
The Internet flow is correct.
The service is correct.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… My number one requirement for a hotel is that it be spotlessly clean which this was. It had some oddities, though. Room decor is on the plain side and a little dated but it actually suited my tastes, calm and relaxing. In the bathroom where you would expect to find a hair dryer, there is a telephone! No hair dryer at all. No in-room coffee maker or microwave. Lovely plush bath towels but no hand towels or wash cloths! (Note: we later discovered the hair dryer on the far end of the shelf in the closet. If we hadn't noticed it by accident, we would never have thought to look there for it. When I asked the front desk about hand towels and wash cloths, the clerk said sorry they were behind on laundry, but they'd get the towels to us soon. We never did get any. ) Our balcony looks over a roof area with lots of noisy AC units, but if you look out instead of down, the view is nice. The street looked really pretty last night in the rain. Parking is a drawback. You either park quite a distance and walk blocks to the hotel or pay a whopping $49 per day for valet. $49! Crazy.

No camera's on the floors how are guess suppose to feel safe. Keneeka Jenkins was killed an they have not answered any questions or even tried to help… I wouldn't want any one in my family staying here. Crown plaza in Chicago sucks. Crowned Plaza Chicago Excellent stay! My room was a little warm for my taste. But it was a great room. Erick checked me in and he is a great representative for your staff. After a long flight and a rough trip from the airport he made my day with his warm smile. The Crowne Plaza will be the go to for my trips to Chicago. And this is why in an UGH member.

Honestly the best I've EVER slept in a hotel. Bed and pillow were very comfortable and it was quiet. I thought it would be really loud but you couldn't even hear the other guests in the hallway or rooms next door. Staff and valet were friendly and personable.

Do not go to this hotel. Save yourself and a loved one they prey on young beautiful girls/women. A young girl body was found in this hotel and they refuse to show surveillance. When we all know know every hotel cameras work. Don't write a review or make a riot just simply stop giving them the satisfaction.

The Crowne is still under construction, which means it's very difficult to get in and out of. The only option is valet parking and it's crazy busy. The staff also seemed a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was Saturday evening/night. Our first room we couldn't get into due to the key entry needing a new battery. And our second room was nice. Bathroom was small yet serviceable. Bed was fantastic and comfortable.

Amazing front desk help this evening! My 5 year old son and I took a 3 day long train trip here from the west coast, an L train to the wrong destination, walked 7 miles back downtown to stretch legs/ burn calories/ west him out. And we were exhausted, sweaty, with no reservation because that's how I travel… and the staff has been exceptional to us! Friendly bartender and host in the lounge, dining and bar area, and the front desk staff lined is right out and is be damned if he didn't show me a trick online to cut 155 a night down to 83! Beautiful rooms, super clean and updated, even an amazing balcony that opens up to a spectacular view! Deff 5 stars from us!

We had a king bed room. It came with vouchers for breakfast. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations and was excellent. Service at the hotel was excellent and they allowed us a late checkout without charge. The valet parking was $49, which is steep when you come from Indiana, but the location was perfect for us to visit family who live in the West loop.

The rooms could use a little updating, but this hotel is awesome overall. Great location, staff, and price. We have stayed here twice and both times they honored our request for a high floor room. This last time they gave us a top floor room and upgraded us to a suite for no apparent reason. They also let us check our bags when we arrived in the morning so we could go around without carrying our backpacks. Pretty great customer service.

Nice hotel in the West loop. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants in Greektown, and also to marianos, cvs, etc. Parking is $30+ for overnight.

Good the the restaurant was pretty good. I wouldn't specifically seek this place out the eat here again, but I at least enjoyed my meal.

Horrible hotel. Does no offer anything they say they do. Bad things: almost all of their vending machines are broken, their Wi-Fi doesn't work, I called the operator twice for help with two separate things (was ignored both times), our alarm clack went off on random times throughout the night when we didn't set it, the TV and air conditioner didn't work, the elevator would only sometimes work, our door would open if you messed with the handle even if you didn't have a key, shower had horrendously low water pressure. Good things: a reasonable view and there were two beds.

This hotel has been here forever and is pretty dated. We've stayed here many times over the years because it is fairly dependable and is inexpensive by downtown Chicago standards. Walking distance of many restaurants and Walgreens across the street. Do not expect luxury but the rooms are quite comfortable. Light sleepers may have a little trouble as you can definately hear the expressway in your room.

It's really nice on the surface. It was clean and the staff were friendly. But the room itself was super noisy. I could hear flushing, doors opening and closing, alarms going off, and carts wheeling through the hallways the entire time. And there was nothing to dampen the outside city noise. It sounded as if the window was left open, even though it was definitely shut and locked. If you're a heavy sleeper, this might not be an issue for you; if you're looking for serene and peaceful, this probably isn't the best place.

Just a quick overnight stay for meetings, really happy to hear they had a 24hr gym access, only slight drop in rating due to limited facilities. I even forgot my razor, and front desk sent up a disposable. Thanks chaps.

The room was clean. However, the coffee maker was broken and they fixed it promptly. The guest services never rereplaced the coffee stirrers. I just feel this place cuts corners. The bathroom left a little to be desired, small tub and shower not that hot. It is an okay experience.

Went for one night. Staff was polite, room was excellent. Shower was a bit low so if you're 6' or taller, you may have to stoop. Also, the TVs are locked down tight (don't plan on plugging in your own media). Alarm clock by bed with Bluetooth speaker and ac/+USB charging ports was a nice touch.

Hotel was fine, it is in a good location, easy to get to restaurants — overall it is a good value. The hotel was being renovated and smelled like paint and glue horribly the first day. Reception was very helpful throughout the stay.

I flew into ORD from SFO and landed at 1:00 AM. I got to the hotel just before 2:00 for a very late check in. There was someone at the front desk without having to wait. Very friendly and accommodating considering the time. She got me checked in quickly so that I could get 4 hours sleep before my meeting. The room was clean and prepared, so no complaints there. Breakfast at the attached restaurant was the only lacking experience. Orange juice was orange water and biscuits and gravy we barely hot when I received them.

Crowne plaza provided a clean, friendly and comfortable place to stay that was close by everything we wanted to walk too. The check in was smooth even though our booking didn't show up correctly and the staff were quick and always friendly. Rooms were well kept and beds very comfortable.
