Review of Comfort Inn Towson 2*

I booked this hotel for my daughter's 14th birthday sleepover and I never got to check in. I have been a member of Choice Privileges for 6 years and I have never been treated as horrible as I was when attempting to check in. I was met at the desk by "Nick" and he immediately asked me "what are you checking in for? " I was completely taken back because I had never been asked anything like that before. I advised him that I was having a birthday party for my daughter and he stated "we do not do parties here, " so I specified that I was having a sleepover and he said "we don't do those either. " I immediately became annoyed and he pushed a paper in my face and said "you have to sign this and if we see that more than 4 people are in your room you will be put out without a refund. " I asked if any rooms were available so that I could possibly book an additional room and he said that nothing else was available. I looked at the paper and read it carefully and decided not to sign and to call around to see if another hotel was available. Surprisingly, another hotel was available and I booked that immediately and went on to call my family and friends who were already on their way to the Towson location to go to the new hotel. I went back into the hotel to speak with "Nick" again and he asked another person to speak with me and I advised him that I wanted to speak with him. When I was able to I told him that they should post advise people online and prior to arrival that they do not do parties or sleepovers at this hotel because I had already had family coming from out of town for this event. As I was talking he began talking as well and said "we have had many problems with noise and people messing up our furniture. " I told him that I understand but people should still be told that prior to arrival. He continued to talk over me which is very unprofessional and rude. I decided to grab all of my luggage and pack my car up but I wanted to get a copy of the form that he asked me to sign and get corporate's phone number. He would not give me the paper so I decided to take a picture of it. I emailed corporate and was advised that the hotels are owned and operated individually but they would bring the matter to the attention of appropriate management. Do not book this hotel especially if "nick" is still the manager. Save yourself and! please read other reviews because they also say that nick is rude and unprofessional.
