Con artist slumlord owners and management — rude and racist front desk workers. I checked in after making a reservation online. The woman at the front desk was rude to the customer ahead of me, and I didn’t know why. It was my turn at the desk, and I handed the woman my ID. She kept looking at the photo, and going back and fourth between staring at me and my ID. Even raising her eyebrow in suspicion. I look exactly the same. I told her she was rude and didn’t belong working directly with people. I gave her a piece of my mind and went on. They rented me a room knowing a huge construction project on their second floor was going to be underway — meaning no hot water for 3-4 days or more and tons on noise so you cannot sleep. I’m jumping ahead, so let me explain. I checked in on a Thursday. And Friday morning was awakened by insanely loud banging and crashing noises. I go to take a shower — no hot water. I go downstairs to front desk to inquire about it, and was told the water was out and it’s being worked on. She said tomorrow it would be working. I leave the hotel dirty, and half a nights sleep due to noise. The next day, Saturday, I was again awakened by the same crashing and banging sounds. I check hot water. Still no hot water. I go back downstairs and see that they’ve now put a sign on the counter saying sorry, no hot water this weekend. I waited while the woman was talking to someone on the phone — and I heard her tell someone they had rooms available.

On arrival key wouldn’t work, room was old and smelly. Not clean. Staff not helpful. 2nd night same thing. Typical Kind that wants to make money and in return a pathetic service.
Never again!

I have never seen a more disgusting hotel in my entire adult life time. I have traveled to third world countries and stayed in a place better than this. Upon check-in I was given keys to a room that belong to somebody else. There were junkies outside and inside that were high. The second room that we were given we walked in it smelled of cigarette smoke so terribly bad. The carpets were stained and had Burns in them. The walls have feces on them torn wallpaper water damage. The curtains did not close. There was hair all over the surfaces. The bed linens were soiled didn't even look like they were washed there was blood on one of them and there were shoe prints on another. This is the most disgusting Hotel I've ever seen in my life. After immediately calling the office and telling her we wanted a refund the receptionist had a terrible attitude. DISGUSTING accommodations. 0 stars… u might as well sleep in your car!

Don't have 2 choices of Breakfa meat, never can use Swimming Pool, can't get anyone to adjust anything for u in the fitness room. Under new Management, Hotel going down fast? run somewhere else.

The room was infested with ants an 1/2 of the electric was out in the room they kept saying no manger was there then when I called back they said JAY was in a meeting still no call back unprofessional an disrespectful. I have the video an I will post it. The most discussing place I ever been in.

Clean sheets. No bugs. Microwave and some surfaces definitely could have been cleaner, including the carpet in the room, but I never travel without cleaning products even to the best lodging choices. But Comfort Inn wins hands down over Quality Inn across the road. Well worth the few extra bucks.

We get here their system was down, not a problem. They give us a room we get there and it's still dirty not even close to ready at almost 3:30. My husband requested new room which they did give us but this one has no frig, smells very musty and carpet could use a major cleaning.

Nice sized rooms, comfy beds. FREE INTERNET! Close to food and next door to Total Wine! Close to highway. Nice and friend staff. Breakfast!

The hotel is old and poor maintence. The hotel deserve only 2 stars. We need to change room due to smoke smell and the replaced room smells molds. The pool is outdoors and small. Late opening. We came late and it is closed. The hotel is big with small dining rooms too crowded. Information on rating of this hotel are false and will not return.

The staff is very friendly and eager to please. When I come to Baltimore this is the most budget-friendly cleanest place to stay. Along with a hot free breakfast which is always great. Even better there is a Starbucks that just opened up next door :-) the rooms are very clean in the bed is comfortable. I don't know about everybody else but pillows play an important role as well. And their pillows range from firm to soft. Which is great because nothing worse than coming to a hotel with super flat pillows. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone including families with children.

My family and I took a road trip up north this summer and we stopped at this hotel on July 21, 2018 and while our reservation was still there, our experience was anything but excellent. Keep in mind we always choose Choice Hotels for all of our stays but this hotel was not worth the price we paid. The beds in our room (room 323) were very uncomfortable to sleep in as we could feel the springs basically poking at our backs. The AC had some sort of sticky material on it and the carpet and curtains smelled really bad. The walls and ceiling looked as if water were seeping in and was actually causing the walls to peel. The furniture in our room was very old as well and some of our tables has deep scratches and stains on them. The bathroom was bad as well! To begin with, there were no locks on the bathroom door so anyone could just go in, the shower looked dirty, and the toilet flushed very slowly as if it was constantly backed up. The lobby was okay, but the floors were really sticky and a lot of guests were asking if there popcorn machine was getting refilled any time soon and when I last saw it, there still wasn't any popcorn there. It seems that the price we paid was way too high given the condition of the hotel and our room. We will definitely NOT be staying at this hotel next time and we definitely will NOT recommend it.

The front desk personnel were nice and friendly which for me is one of the most important things. The room was clean, which again is important, I assume to everyone. There's not much to do in the immediate area, but Baltimore is roughly 20 minutes away, which is quite doable, just expect to pay through the nose for parking.

Well where do I start. Great price $74.00 night. Ok that’s affordable. At the front desk. Oh yes ma’am they are queen size beds. Get to the room guess what…? Full size beds. Go downstairs and tell them and they say they are queens. Tammy goes didn’t you see how big my husband is he won’t fit on the beds. The smart ass 17yrold Indian daughter in a smart ass snobby comment that is a queen size bed and the Indian mother rolled her eyes.

One star is too good. Hotel smelled of mildew. The next day when we returned no one had come to clean our room. We went to the front desk and they said we would be taken care of. I guess the cleaning person assumed we had left because he wasn't even going to put clean sheets on the bed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!

Nice place for basic needs of a place to sleep and nice free breakfast. Very clean, friendly staff. Beds comfortable, nice shower, bonus fridge and microwave in the room. Plenty of space for clothes and accessories. Will definitely go back.

So I stayed at this Comfort Inn this weekend in Towson, MD. While this is not a new one, it is a very clean one. Lets start with the Staff, Mr. Nick & Ms. Pam are great innkeepers. Customer service was excellent, while being quick and efficient. Very nice people. Helpful with area information too. The building was quiet and orderly during the late night hours and housekeeping staff was prompt. The breakfast was busy but well staffed. I can truly say that I will be a returning happy customer. I was in a room visiting family that had come from out of town. The room was clean and neat, as were the common areas. However, they rooms can stand to be refreshed. The furniture is old/worn.

This hotel is very outdated and in need of some major TLC! Also the front desk staff wasn't the most pleasant to deal with. I think there are other suitable options within the same price range that will offer guests a better experience elsewhere.

My wife, my son and I stayed at your Rocky Mount, N. C. Inn on Sunday night the 13, 2018. I asked the desk clerk if we could have adjoining rooms. He said none were available. We got rm, 203 and our son got room 230 some distance away. Next AM I asked the desk clerk if rooms adjoining 203 were occupied that prior night? She said no, they weren't. Also, when we arrived about 7 pm there was no one at the desk and none came out of the back room for at least 5 min. And offered no apology for the delay. No explanation was given for why we couldn't get adjoining rooms. The night clerk was not in a good mood and did not make us feel welcomed. I have stayed at many of your Inns and this is the first time we weren't treated well.

Beautiful place comfortable clean and friendly. My room had a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker… I felt right at home!

This hotel is not worth your money. I am a carpenter and my boss booked me a room here. I have been here multiple days and have had numerous problems. Hot water in shower didn't work. Sink was clogged. Toilet ran all day and night. And the breakfast is disgusting and isn't even restocked when items run out. Really the whole place smells and is filthy. When I talked to the staff at the end of my most recent stay they were rude and had an attitude like they did not care. This is a CHEAP hotel at an expensive rate. Around $100 A night for a place that should be $40. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN… or any other comfort inn.

Decent for what it is. However my room, along with the rest of the wedding party, had a terrible musky/moldy smell. We were able to get rid of some of it by turning the AC on, but it was definitely hard to breathe in there. If you're an asthmatic, bring your inhaler!

The Front desk and cleaning staff are very friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very clean and spacious! I would definitely recommend staying at the Comfort Inn on Loch Raven for peace of mind and comfortable rest!

I booked this hotel for my daughter's 14th birthday sleepover and I never got to check in. I have been a member of Choice Privileges for 6 years and I have never been treated as horrible as I was when attempting to check in. I was met at the desk by "Nick" and he immediately asked me "what are you checking in for? " I was completely taken back because I had never been asked anything like that before. I advised him that I was having a birthday party for my daughter and he stated "we do not do parties here, " so I specified that I was having a sleepover and he said "we don't do those either. " I immediately became annoyed and he pushed a paper in my face and said "you have to sign this and if we see that more than 4 people are in your room you will be put out without a refund. " I asked if any rooms were available so that I could possibly book an additional room and he said that nothing else was available. I looked at the paper and read it carefully and decided not to sign and to call around to see if another hotel was available. Surprisingly, another hotel was available and I booked that immediately and went on to call my family and friends who were already on their way to the Towson location to go to the new hotel. I went back into the hotel to speak with "Nick" again and he asked another person to speak with me and I advised him that I wanted to speak with him.

My group had book multiple rooms for stay in this hotel back in the fall of 2017. At the time the sales rep Dee booked everything and things seemed fine. Shortly thereafter Dee said that she no longer worked for hotel (apparently fired or let go from stealing money according to manager Nick) however, we were never contacted by hotel with the new person picking up our group. I called in and spoke with Nick, a horrible experience acted as if our group didn't exist was rude and told me my dates were filled (however, did not read his screen correctly). I complained to corporate who escalated me to the regional sales manager Shanna who was outstanding and worked me with to get things back on track including booking rooms (for some reason my entire group had to rebook), she helped us book banquet space picking layout and all promised all would be set up. Our event weekend comes in April with the lead up being horrible with the hotel staff being rude to my guests each time they called in. Acting like the group didn't exist even saying it was a smaller group than it was. My group was placed in separate sections of hotels some of them have multiple rooms issues from maintenance issues to hair and stains on beds. I contacted hotel and corporate to address this and corporate was great but hotel staff was horrible.

My daughter gave me a birthday party at one of the halls their it was very nice up until we were told that the music had to be turned off at 9:30pm and my daughter rented the place from 6pm til 10pm. The place is really nice but they just need to let you know when your renting the place not 15mins before you have to turn the music off but I did enjoy myself.

Clean and nice. Not too expensive. Breakfast is good. Plenty restaurants in area. Bus stop. Parking. Quite. Amenities. T. V. Microwave. Refrigerator. Ironing board and iron. Non smoking facility.

Horrible customer service. We booked through a 3rd party app for a last min reservation (which we've done before at other hotels) due to this bad local storm that knocked our power out. When we arrived they could not find our reservation despite the fact that we had confirmation and the money was on hold in our bank. The front desk clerks had no sympathy for our issue and were very short with us and not at all helpful. They had an attitude as if this happens frequently and they didn't care at all that we were assured there was a room waiting here for us. I understand that hotels will over book sometimes but it's extremely poor taste if they do it frequently as it seems and don't care at all when their poor business practices inconvenience possible paying customers.

So first I booked a jacuzzi room online but when I got there it was given away. Said my card before I got there but I used the same card to book anot her one. They did however give me a good rate for a substitute room. Then we get in the room and the sheets were stained. Someone did come a change the sheet but already off to a rough start. In the end we left in the morning but not without breakfast. Wasn't bad but wasn't great either.

The room was nice and reasonably clean. There were some cigarette burns in the sheets. The breakfast was decent if not overwhelming. The one serious drawback was the desk chair. In fact it wasn't a desk chair at all but a standard chair and not very well padded. This made any extended sitting uncomfortable. Overall not bad but you can find better for the money.

Very nice and cozy… comfortable bed… one thing is breakfast should be until 1030 am… 9:00am is way too early… breakfast items were very plentiful…

We love it here… right off the Beltway around N. Baltimore in Towson! Very nice facilities and big rooms! It is also within 2 miles of our daughter's home! … Convenient to everything! Staff is friendly and helpful with a very nice breakfast room… with Blueberry waffles and many breakfast choices!. See Nick for a wonderful stay!

I stay exclusively at Choice Hotels as they are the best value for my hotel dollar. The hotels are clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Booking a reservation is easy on the website. I have no reason to "experiment" with another hotel chain.

Good value & good price. Stayed here over 5 times in the last 4 months & have no complaints. The staff is very friendly and helpful, clean rooms including bathrooms, easy location on/off highway, good area with tons of food choices & shopping. I'll choose this location every time I'm in the area!

I have stayed here when in the area for years. The rooms are fine if not a bit dated. Some of the furniture could use replacement, but the place is a good value with friendly and attentive service. I have no complaints and will continue to use them.

I think the place is getting better because when I stayed last time the room was smelling like midow and after that I have stayed couple of nights here. But right after that stay when I returned to this hotel which was a week ago; rooms were not smelling bad that stay was amazing. I think they have upgraded their property a month or two ago.

This hotel was in a wonderful location & Mick & his staff were great! Everyone was helpful & friendly. Mick absolutely keeps this place in excellent condition & always asks if you need anything. We will return in the future to enjoy Baltimore & stay at this location. Thank you Mick for your thoughtfulness.

Just checked out and I can definitely say it was a great stay! The front office is extremely helpful and people friendly. The breakfast area is highly organized. I will recommend to EVERYONE. Great choice if you are in town for college. Purpose.

Definitely a party hotel… definitely had that smell in the hallway. Staff was very nice and accommodating and I found the very helpful… but regrettably, I would not bring the kids.

Check in was fast, however they weren't friendly. She even seemed upset not sure why. What I do know is I booked this room through Priceline last min deals. I do love there was a free breakfast. Room was clean & decent. Overall I would stay again for the piece!

All the bad reviews on this place are on point. This hotel looks decent from the outside, but once you get past the front desk it all goes to hell pretty quickly. The bathroom and floors in the rooms were slightly better than disgusting, and all of the little things that could be replaced and/or refurbished were just run down. We booked for two nights and WILL forego our second night of this reservation. I would rather sleep in my car at a rest stop or not sleep at all, which in this place might be a safer option…

Room smelled of mildew. The walls were damp. The other rooms showed were no better. Any other floor felt unsafe because of the type of guest that were in the hotel. Person cursing, people smoking at the front door. I had no other choice but to stay in the mildew room on the first floor. He offered me a refund but it was after 8pm and I just worked all day. Sat in traffic most of that day. I was exhausted. I left bright and early tyhe next morning. I stayed at other hotel for the rest of the time.

Stayed here for a night while we were in town. It was a good price and included a free breakfast and Wi-Fi. The common areas of the hotel are decent, but nothing extraordinary. The rooms are a different story. They felt dirty and outdated. The wallpaper was peeling in many spots and the rug was also visibly dirty. The bathroom was much of the same; also one of the 'clean' towels in the room had dirt and lipstick all over it. The bed was relatively comfortable but the sheets were very thing and pillows very small. It did that trick for a night but it was disappointing as I stay at Comfort Inn's often and usually they are much better than this for the price. The hotel itself is in a good location with plenty of parking, but the interior is lacking in many areas. Overall, it's a decent hotel for the money but it is outdated and under-maintained. I can recommend it if you want an inexpensive hotel for a night or two, but beyond that, I can't recommend it.

We stayed here cause other hotels were booked for the night so we got a room at 1am which we were told was the last room available. As we walked in the lobby we saw a security guard in uniform and 2 junkies with visible needle marks on there body in the lobby area. 1 elevator didn't work. The room 530 smelled, the carpet and bathroom *tube) also & iron board was dirty. Toilet had stains in the water. Would not stay there again. Oh table n walls wood was chipped n dirty also. Never again.

The entire staff at the Comfort Inn was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was so cosy and was stocked with all the basic amenities. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff is courteous, professional and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and the staff had the ac already running to cool the room upon my arrival. The bathroom was spotless, and the towels were plush. I look forward to a repeat stay.

Had two rooms. In one of them, a piece of wood stripping from the bed's headboard was missing with the nails very much exposed, and the rooms were not clean (no hotel room is) but not filthy. Had a bit of a smell (not cigarette smoke) but many would not be too bothered by it and you forget it's there after a short period of time. Breakfast was actually pretty good, they have waffles (with the professional waffle irons that do the flipping thing) and several other common breakfast items. All in all, not the best place but not terrible either. I'd stay here again as there were no major issues.

The guy who ran it was super nice. I have three kids and he was really nice to them too.

Due to the negative reviews I have decided to post our stay 4th of July weekend 2015 we went out to Maryland to spend some time with family and just relax for a mini getaway the room was very cozy & the king size bed was so comfortable I could have cared less if I done anything else on our trip I melted into that bed! Nick is wonderful he is who to ask for if you need anything at all! He made sure all our needs were met! Our room was clean! Bathroom was clean! && I can't forget the breakfast buffet! Hello delicious! Make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, pastries, & my personal favorite fresh fruit and bagels & cream cheese! Yummy! & guess what when we go this year I will be booking here again! Great location! & Great value!

Horrible experience! Don't let anything fool you here, this is a smoking hotel!
Upon check in I found my room to be a smoking room. When I went back to the front desk I was told that there were no non smoking rooms available.
A machine was placed in my room that would "guarantee to take the smell out" and I was told to come back to my room later.
Upon return to my room from dinner later that night I found my bag had been unzipped. If you are a smoker and don't value your personal security this place is for you. I'm stumped as to how Choice puts their name on this place!

Friendly staff, basic rooms and free breakfast. Perfect place for an overnight getaway.

Awesome! Service Is Great! & Nick's The Best!

Safe was not working and needed to leave to go somewhere so I called down to the front desk to get someone to take a look at it. 20 minutes later a maid showed up and all she had was batteries and those didn't help becuase that wasn't the problem, so I went down to the front desk and the manager started yelling at me that it was my fault and then he walked away while I was talking to him and locked himself in his office.

My husband and I stay at this hotel every time that we travel to Baltimore (about 3x a year). The customer service is absolutely phenomenal. The rooms are kept tidy and are stocked with necessities such as soaps and coffee. The continental breakfast is great as well. All for an excellent price, too! Plus its easy access to 695!

Great service! Wasn't planning on staying in area but got tired driving home at midnight. The clerk was very attentive to our needs, the room was clean and with new furnishings/bedding, and he gave us s first floor room to accommodate my disability.
