My group had book multiple rooms for stay in this hotel back in the fall of 2017. At the time the sales rep Dee booked everything and things seemed fine. Shortly thereafter Dee said that she no longer worked for hotel (apparently fired or let go from stealing money according to manager Nick) however, we were never contacted by hotel with the new person picking up our group. I called in and spoke with Nick, a horrible experience acted as if our group didn't exist was rude and told me my dates were filled (however, did not read his screen correctly). I complained to corporate who escalated me to the regional sales manager Shanna who was outstanding and worked me with to get things back on track including booking rooms (for some reason my entire group had to rebook), she helped us book banquet space picking layout and all promised all would be set up. Our event weekend comes in April with the lead up being horrible with the hotel staff being rude to my guests each time they called in. Acting like the group didn't exist even saying it was a smaller group than it was. My group was placed in separate sections of hotels some of them have multiple rooms issues from maintenance issues to hair and stains on beds. I contacted hotel and corporate to address this and corporate was great but hotel staff was horrible. Nick the manager from Hades again seemed agitated that he had to deal with the group had no knowledge of us and admitted to not reading emails or correspondence from corporate because he "didn't like doing it" he told me he prefers people coming face to face to deal with him and wished I had done that. He asked me to redo all layouts and details that had already been set up for months. Then on the day of the event they refused to open banquet space because he never charged the payment to my card that was on file for them to charge even after having met me and spoke with me extensively the day before. I had to go to my event having had no shower or anything because of how long I had to deal with them to get it straightened out. General Manager was asked to call me and never did once I finally got in contact we resolved some of the immediate concerns and I requested a refund he said he would work it out and call me Monday here it is a week later and still no call and I have gotten tired of calling hotel and leaving my contact for him. I have planned many events with many major companies, hotels, etc. This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST experience and I didn't put EVERYTHING in the review. I do not recommend this hotel. I'm still extremely upset and want all of my money back and need to speak with whoever handle high level escalated complaints because the service and treatment from he staff was Absolutely deplorable.
