Staying here the people here are great very nice and friendly, nice clean rooms comfy beds. Very helpful if you need it got in late and the guy at the desk even helped unload our bags and brought them to our room for us at 2 am would recommend this place to anyone. Will be back definitely. Thanks for the great stay. The Martell's.

Just got home from 3 fantastic days with my brothers. I was skeptical as I’ve never stayed right on the boardwalk. I was delightfully surprised to find the room and bathroom, while really small, were so clean and neat. Not sure I’d like the community deck on the 4th floor but again…. It was perfect! The staff was pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. Every single person there was friendly and it seemed that they would do anything to enhance our stay. I usually stay in condos much further up from the boardwalk. But this was so nice I have no doubt we will go right back to the Safari next time we go to O. C.

Nice location, very clean, and the owners and staff are extremely helpful and nice. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Rates are horrible and they do NOT cater to pet owners. Rooms are dirty. Our dog developed a skin problem after staying there!

Great location for a great price. Rooms are on the smaller side (perfect for our party) but clean. Also they offer you late check out or stay another day also at a great price.

They were rooms are clean front desk receptionist was very nice right on the boardwalk reasonable.

We had a double bedroom big enough for my daughter and I. The staff was very helpful. We were missing a shower curtain. They immediately put up a brand new one. Our AC didn’t cool well and they put in a brand new one! Everything was very clean and we had crisp clean sheets everyday. The staff was so very nice. The deck made a nice place to sit in the evening. And there’s no beating the location if you like the beach and boardwalk. Could use some updates, but we will use this hotel again.

Safari captures the very essence of a beach vacation hotel smack dab on the boardwalk of OC. The rooms are perfect, nice & clean, fresh linens and a nice clean look to the hotel. The staff were very accommodating and the management team were very nice and very welcoming. We will definitely come back and as I write this I'm sitting in my room at the hotel after enjoying the last night here at OC. Another very cool thing about Safari Motel Boardwalk, is that they have not one but 2 large balconies that overlook the boardwalk and the surf, the view is breathtaking. Do yourself a favor and check in to the Safari, you'll be as glad as we were when chose it.

Stayed there this past weekend and had a great experience. The owners were very accommodating, my sister is handicapped and when there were no handicapped spots to park in they let us park in front of the motel. The beds are very comfortable, and it is close to the beach as it’s right on the boardwalk. I would stay there again.

If you have a animal, I recommend this Motel. Easy to get to beach. Owners are friendly and helpful. Very clean. Coffee pot always full.

Our large family (great grandparents, my in-laws & us with our 2 little girls) enjoyed our short 4 day vacation at Safari Motel July 29-Aug 2. Art and his staff were super nice and accommodating. The motel is very clean and comfortable. Rooms are a bit smaller and I couldn't keep my rental double stroller in there, so Art let me keep it down in the lobby. Since our vacation was about family time and enjoying the beach and boardwalk, the "no frills" aspect was not any kind of issue for us. The rooms were perfect for our stay and we really liked the shared balcony and being right on the boardwalk. We definitely will come back to Safari Motel if we vacation in OC again. Thanks, Art, for keeping the coffee brewing and having us there!

Was not expecting much when we booked our stay here, but it actually turned out to be a great dog-friendly place. The rooms were clean and employees were all very accommodating. The location (right off the boardwalk) was also very convenient.

It is a great place to stay. The owners are very nice and treat you great. I have been staying there for many years. My sister — in — law, my niece and her daughter just got back from a weeks stay, it is great. We recommend it.

Stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days. Little hole in the wall motel. You get what you pay for so don't expect nothing luxuries, but our room and bathroom were very very clean, beds were changed and clean, the rooms did not smell like smoke, or pets. (Pet friendly motel). Also front desk receptionist were friendly and tended to all our needs a guy in the nighttime and lady in the daytime. I would stay there again.

Love the place. Right on boardwalk, available coffee 24 hrs, people are friendly an treat you like family. Best place to stay.

This place was nice and clean, with great service. If you bring a pet, you're more than likely going to end up in the blue building behind the main safari motel that's on the boardwalk. The walls aren't too thick so we could hear the dogs next door (just FYI if you're bringing your dog). But overall a great weekend stay!

My husband & I have stayed here with our dogs several times in the past few years. Location is good, prices are good & best of all — its clean! It's very basic no-frills, but that's the trade off we make to travel with the pooches. No real dog potty location & you'll need to keep an eye out for glass when walking the area (which is an OCMD thing, not their fault).

It has two buildings and one has a ocean front view. The other allows you best friend (dogs) to come with you. Might not be the best to rent the room I was in because the bathroom door doesn't lock, but so far pretty good.

This is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. They have a few pet friendly rooms available which they were able to accommodate us with on short notice. It doesn’t have all the fancy amenities that the big hotels have, but they make up for it in service. There is a private balcony on the 4th floor for ocean views and it’s over top of the boardwalk and steps from the beach! We will be staying here often!

This experience couldve turned out bad because of the site I booked our room from but the owners took very good care of me and my Husband this past weekend. The only negative thing I can say is the step up going into the bathroom from the main part of the room has a 2inch piece of white marble and the outside of it is very rough. Both my husband and I tripped on it. I ended with a bloody, split toenail and he almost went head first on the floor. This should be fixed.
I did book the same room for a weekend in September for the Fall Fest which also happens to be my Sisters Birthday weekend. I look forward to relaxing at The Safari Hotel. This is my "go to" hotel from now on.

My absolute favorite place to vacation! The owners are wonderful, sweet people. The rooms are clean and never had a bad experience!

Our room was very comfortable. Housekeeping did a fantastic job upkeep in the room during our stay and the location was incredibly convenient being right on the Boardwalk. I will definitely stay here again.

Went on a last minute day trip. Decided to stay at safari motel… Glad we did pet friendly! (with a fee) Never stayed here so didn't know what to expect… The room was all we needed for a night and the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen in a motel! Thank you for a nice and clean place to stay for the night.

We decided to visit Ocean City the day before our arrival. After looking up oceanfront hotels on the boardwalk that accepted dogs, the Safari came up. We booked and were pleased with our room. The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave. It was not carpeted which made perfect sense for a beach hotel that accepted dogs. We will definitely book at the Safari again.

This is a clean, and pet — friendly motel right on the Boardwalk! Located at 13th Street, you can easily walk to the inlet or north end of the Boardwalk. Rooms are cozy, but super clean. Classic, but updated. Staff is helpful, and friendly. Coffee is always available!

Very clean, nice TV and mini fridge, great staff, perfect location and we were able to bring our two pups! We strongly recommend and will definitely come back!

Very family friendly hotel, offered a pack and play when we arrived with my 16 month old daughter, extremely friendly and caring. Beds are comfortable and the balcony is beautiful to watch the beach at night.

We have been going to Safari Motel in OC for years. Great place, very clean, right into boardwalk saving us time and parking money. Staff and owners are very friendly and available to their guests. Definitely would recommend it and will go back next year.

I was hesitant on writing a review but I feel that it's the right thing to do. Overall our stay was fine. The room was small which was okay but our door didn't completely lock all the way. When I came home about a week later, I found out that I had lice. I found out while getting a haircut which was extremely embarrassing but I had just caught it in time because I had not experienced any itching sensation. I don't do much besides work (which is in a restaurant) and stay home so this was a huge surprise to me and the only thing that had changed in my schedule was staying over night at this hotel. The room seemed clean but the sheets did have a dindgy feeling. I didn't think anything of it considering all of the great reviews. Definitely do not want to point any fingers but having lice is such a huge inconvenience and just a reminder that anyone can get it!

The safari is an older hotel on the boardwalk of ocean city. They are in the remodeling process. It is impeccably clean! Very adequate. In the middle of the action! Great choice and the updating will make it even better!

Nice hotel close to the ocean it's clean and the workers are very polite, wouldn't suggest it to teenagers but a very good family hotel.

Great location, front desk is not the best but the owner was very helpful. Make sure to bring cash to pay for the room and a valid photo ID.

The staff was amazing and very friendly. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room were even though they are small. You are literally steps from the beach. What more could you ask for in OC! We will stay here again.

We would like to thank the owners for all their help. Our room was clean, we watched the sun rise every morning on the balcony, so beautiful. We were there for OC Bikefest September 17-20, 2015. Thank you again. We will definitely stay with you again, next time we are there.

We stayed at Safari for two days last week Aug 24, 25, 2015. When we got there we were put in the new building which was blue on the 3rd floor with no elevators. Since I had two knee replacements this was not good for me or my husband, since he has knee problems also. I went back to the office and talked to the manager on duty and asked if we could possible get a room on a lower floor. He checked and said sure I can put you right next to the office in a room. I was so thankful, he didn't have to do that but he did. He and the maid helped us carry our things down from the 3rd floor room to the new room. He bent over backwards to make sure that we were satisfied with the new room. I said oh yes very much. He did not have to do this but he was very nice and my husband and I would stay at this hotel again probably next year when we make our vacation. But this time I will ask for a bottom floor.

We enjoyed our stay at the Safari Motel. The friendly staff, clean rooms, and superb location on the boardwalk made our first visit to Ocean City perfect. The balcony was great at night to sit and people watch. We'll be back.

We loved this dog friendly hotel. Super nice staff. Very close to the boardwalk. They went the extra mile to get us a room as we loved this place we wanted to stay an extra night. We will highly recommend and will be next year for longer stay.

I would say the most positive things about the place is its pet friendly and good location. The negatives are the place needs completely updated as the bathrooms, deck, rooms etc are just either out dated or not in good condition. The comforter on bed was awful and all inside of blanket was no longer attached so it fell off bed and was useless. Our sink was broke. The room was small. But really worst of all there's a store below the hotel on the boardwalk that blasts music from 8 am till midnight. Laying in bed hearing it thumping at night is the reason I'll never stay there again. Hope this helps.

I like this hotel. Very clean right on the boardwalk. Comfortable beds and the AC is awesome. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Will still again. Wifii is free. Not a turn up spot. A relaxing spot.

I have been staying here since 1997 when the old man owned it. Alot HAS changed since the new owners took over, BUT it's still a great motel, great location, clean, and I stay here every summer. I love the old school look and feel. Everyone has access to a balcony, without the private balcony price.

The motel staff was very accommodating to two senior citizens. Our room was small but fine for us and our small dog. It was on the first floor and a very good location for taking our dog out for walks. The room was very clean. There was free coffee which was really good. We will recommend this motel to friends and do plan on coming back.

Book this hotel for an affordable, conveniently located, and relaxing stay in Ocean City. The room I stayed in was small by most standards, but it was well-maintained. If you plan on spending a lot of time on the beach and boardwalk, then this hotel is in the perfect location. It is smack-dab in the middle of the boardwalk which makes for a short walk to any nearby restaurants, bars, and attractions. Also, the staff was kind enough to mail some clothes I left in the room to me at no extra charge.

Great value on the boardwalk for someone not spending lots of time in the room. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Biker friendly! They let us park on the sidewalk right by the front door so our bikes were safe.

Horrible service! Lies on the website. When I booked it ththey charged me. And then when I get here then tell me they needed to charge the other half. I told them they took all the money out. Even my bank told me they charged the full amount. And they wouldn't refund me the money. The rooms are disappointing. The management people are rude. Never again am I coming bacm here. Be careful people.
