Just an OK place. Know what I would describe as a good place but an OK place. I know I’m being vague but it’s just a hotel by the ocean and simply a place to sleep.

We stayed in 1 of the 2 bedroom rooms. No problems the room was clean. The staff was super friendly it was a short walk to the beach. We had no problems with the Wi-Fi either. We had children with us and asked for a bottom floor unit wich they accommodated us. Our room had a porch and it was awesome! We will definitely be booking with you again next year!

The room was kept nicely. The hotel staff were great. No issues at all.

Pro: convenient to get to the beach and boardwalk Con: overpriced for not having any amenities (no pool, no breakfast), outdated and not very clean BIGGEST CON: first night we stayed we had someone come into our room at 3am using their key to their room but worked on our door. Not sure if they use the same key for all doors but it's unacceptable especially because there is no dead bolt lock on the door.

Room was ok. A lot of noise at night and parking was tight. Common had just one couch big enough for 2 people and a table for 2 people. Fridge was big, beds were actually pretty comfortable. Pullout couch was a little rough to sleep on. Outside sitting area for the room was great. Nice picnic table and plenty of room. Convenient to beach, boardwalk and close to the highway. Floor in common area was wet from what I think was a leak above. Not bad for the price.

Bathroom was extremely outdated. I dont see where any "renovations" have been done, like stated on the website. Missing caulking around tub, where there was caulking it was black and molded. Toilet sest was disgusting. Overall room needed to be cleaned. Stuff all over walls and floor. Room smelled musty. Would not reccomend to anyone. Not worth the low price! Had to tote all of our luggage up 3 flights of stairs with a 1 year old. Would have been nice to know there was no elevator from the start!

This place is disgusting. Stayed there for not even one night I was supposed to stay a entire week BED BUGS EVERYWHERE. Do not go here the staff is terrible and I didn’t get refunded any of my money this isn’t even worth one star.

My son and his friend booked a room with this establishment for Senior week (from Saturday to Saturday). On Monday my son called me to say that they may have BED BUGS in their room. I tell him give it another night and if they wake up with extra bumps on them then they in fact do have BED BUGS. He calls me on Tuesday to say that it is confirmed that they have BED BUGS. Now instead of the property manager Jon Strickler setting these children up in another room, he puts them out and calls security to escort them off of the property with no place to go. Jon Stickler then proceed to tell these children that they have a no money back policy and that they are no longer welcomed on his property. All while 2 other groups checked in while hearing about the BED BUG situation and he refunded their money yet refused to refund my son's money. Stay away from this bed bug infested and lack of professionalism staff and management.

Im here to tell you that yes the rooms may be small but everything here has been nothing but good things! Our room was clean, a/c worked like a charm and smelled fresh! Hotel staff was more than accommodating, friendly and we didnt have any problems except for a bunch of over partying teens, which by the way, were handled appropriately by staff/security! The outside of the building is dated and needs little repair but it was a great experience! Ive been here for 2 days, staying for another 2. Would I come back? Yes I would! No place is perfect being close to the ocean and bay, up keep is necessary no matter if its your house, cabin or at the beach! If youre looking for 5 star hotels/motels do your research because not 1 around here is perfect!

I only put 1 star because I had to! In order to write this review! If it was up to me they woulda got a Big fat zero! WARNING! Do not stay here! I was sooooo upset and discusted that me and my fiance drove 3 hours to stay at this DUMP! It Looks and smells as if it's MOLD all over the place! Our room was DiRTY, MUSTY, and STiNKY! The floors were filthy! I mean it was so nasty in there I automatically checked the beds for bed bugs! The air coming out of the air conditioner smelled horrible! This motel was very tramatizing! And depressing! I was dreading coming back to our room after the day out! This place needs to be burned down!

Not very happy with my stay, the housekeeper came in WITH a DND (Do not disturb) hung on the door, the shower is crappy, the air conditioner doesn't blow cold air. After staying to nights they are finally moving us into a new room.

It was awful the microwave wouldn't work so we had to move it to another outlet unfortunately the only was was right next to the sink then we found out the fridge wasn't working so everything melted or was warm $25 worth of chocolate melted. We had to move the fridge to another outlet and again, was right in front of the sink. Over the whole 4 day stay our room was only cleaned once. However it does have a nice location to the boardwalk.

I reserved this room 2 months in advance because of a car show I knew that there was going to be limited lodging for a fair price. We where 4 hours into our trip and about 30 minuets left and I recived a call at 9:30pm and was told there is a maintenance issue in our room and we cannot get into it. I asked what the issue was and was told that they had bed bugs. I then asked how they were going to make this right by us and was told there was nothing he could do for us except give a refund, and then he suggested sleeping in the Walmart parking lot. I asked for the manager and was told they weren’t in and would be the next day. It was now like 10:45 at night but we where able to find a different hotel (for more money). Anyway I proceeded to contact the manager all weekend and had no success. Safe to say my friends and I will NEVER book there again.

I had to give 1 star in order to write a review. If I had my way, they would have gotten a big fat ZERO! Such an incredibly disgusting facility. As soon as we walked in the room I had to gag because the smell was so bad! Their website clearly says, "We have spent the last year doing a complete renovation of OC few remaining historic hotels. " Looking on the web makes it look so nice. I should have been vigilant about reading other reviews. Unfortunately it was a decision I would regret and have to live with. Well, they sure didn't do any renovations in what I saw. We even lost the money for the second nights stay because we refused to stay and just checked out knowing we wouldn't get a refund. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is, DON'T STAY THERE… EVER! Worst experience for me, my husband and our friends!

We paid for a single room, which was pretty cheap, but still should have met a standard that it just didn't. Walking in, the door would only open if we put our entire weight into it because it dragged/stuck across the carpet, the walls were stained with drink spills and bits of dried food, part of the toilet paper holder was completely missing, we walked into less than half a roll of toilet paper left, there was black mold on the bathroom floor, the remote to the TV only half worked, the sink light fixture was loose and hanging down, and we were given 2 pillows for a 4-person reservation. There actually was a 3rd pillow found in the closet, but in was on the floor in the corner, which we found really disgusting considering the overall condition of the room. In all, there are many other hotels close to the boardwalk that cost only slightly more, but would have been far more worth putting the extra $20 out for.

Holes in the walls and doors, and that was in the suite. The a/c units do work, but you can see through the wall around them because they don't fit. They charged my card on file an extra $280, when I called about it they said it was a mistake and I got charged for someone else's bill. Only good part is the staff is respectful and polite. They put up with a lot of trashy people at the trashy hotel.

Good price, great location, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommended for groups.

Good location for beach access and nice to have close, free parking to the hotel. Front desk folks were very friendly. Room was serviced each day, but didn't get coffee refills, even after asking face-to-face before leaving AND leaving a note (had to go to front desk). Bed and pillows too soft for my liking, but, all-in-all. A very average hotel experience.

The cleaning staff only cleans vacant rooms. You have to pull teeth to get new towels. The floors were so dirty that when we took off our shoes our white socks turned black on the bottoms. There were pubic hairs on the bathroom and bedroom floors. The place just makes you feel uncomfortable and dirty, especially if you have children with you. You can't even talk to management most days because they leave at random times. The only saving graces are the spaciousness and location. If this hotel was anywhere else, it would have been shut down long ago.

Our refrigerator did not work and when we asked them to fix it they just put another mini fridge in there instead of fixing the big one and our food spoiled. The walls are paper thin. There are flies everywhere. There was some type of bug in our bed. The security guard would not let anyone play any type of music. There was stuff in the refrigerator from the last people who stayed so it was clearly not cleaned correctly. There was no oven when it started otherwise and it is much smaller than the pictures. The shower was dirty and the drain would not drain. The Wi-Fi only worked in the office.

Not large rooms, but pretty decent for the price.

Came through in a clutch. Had a room for us during the busiest time of the year and in the dead of summer. If you ever been to ocean city in the summer you know how much of a pain it is to do anything. Room was very tidy and clean. We loved it! staff was also beyond helpful.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed. Friendly and helpful staff. We did get room service which was nice, but they forgot our fries. They brought them up right away and said sorry, it even came with ketchup so we didn't have to ask. Loved the pool as usual and they had really awesome pool lights! The hotel is right next to the mall which is always convenient. Would stay again.

Technically I would put a 5 stars — it is really just you get what you pay for. Works, cheap, and efficient. Nothing more.

I'm not even remotely exaggerating when I say this is the most disgusting place I have ever been in my life. We went with a group of 10 and both apartments were a health hazard. Plus there management is basically none existent. I will be reporting them to the BBB, Ocean city tourist office as well as the health department. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time.

Go to Trip Advisor and read the reviews. I stayed here July 15, 2016. It's the worse place I have ever stayed in.

We stayed here last summer and it was disgusting. Since then, we make sure we tell everyone we know Going to OC to stay away from here. There were tiny ants crawling on the night stand, the bathroom tub was stained and gross, carpet was dirty looking, air conditioner didn't work, Wi-Fi signal so weak you can't connect to it, no daily room service (you would think being this close to the beach they'd clean daily with the sand etc. ) Tried to speak to the manager and left him messages and surprise, never could get a call back. We ran into several other guests that were equally unsatisfied. This place is so close to the beach that if they actually cleaned this place up and the manager cared to please the guests they would have a great thing going for them.

Great hotel. Great customer service. It's under renovation so you have to bear with some things. But it's got a really unique floor plan and it's convenient to everything. Park your car and enjoy your weekend at the beach.

It's a good price for how close to the board walk/ beach it is. It didnt really have Wi-Fi and a couple of the power outlets didn't work, minor things.

Terrible experience. I have stayed here for almost 7 years for the summer. This year I would have to say it has been the worst for me and my family. 1, the ac did not work at all and we stayed for 3 nights. I had my babies come this year with us. The ac did not work, asked them to change it. Took them almost 2 days to change it. They changed it and it still didn't work! 2. We only had one channel to watch. 3 there were bed bugs on the mattress! Not only that, but our neighbor came to our room and told us about it, she showed us her bites and she had a video on her phone of a live bed bug crawling and to top it off she showed us a dead on on a napkin she was holding. She warned everyone about it before she left and we also warned people checking in as we left. Will never stay here again.! One of our kids got bit and it was the worse. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. One staff had a mean face/ she look Spanish. Rude!

Do not stay here. The website says renovated over the last year to be family friendly… lies. Beautiful on the outside until you walk in. It was just my husband and I staying and we usually say all we need is a clean bed and shower (not hotel snobs in the slightest) but we couldn't even get that here. The shower was covered in mildew and missing caulk, carpet stained like there had been murder in the hallway and our room, walls covered in a bad spackle job. The bed had a sheet on it that looked and felt like it came out of a thrift shop. There is a coffee maker but no cups or place to plug it in. The faucet in the sink either flowed at fire hose level or not at all. I can forgive the marijuana smell, not the staffs fault. The guy who checked us in was pleasant but that was the extent of the niceness at the hotel.

We were looking forward to a great weekend with some friends but this place was disgusting. One room had its windows screwed shut, another had plastic bags over the fire alarm. My friend went downstairs to get a new pillow because there was blood on hers. Our room had items in it from the people who stayed there before us & to top it off we came home with head lice. If this is the get away you envision by all means book a room.

This is a very quaint little hotel that is only steps from the beach. It was very clean and they had very nice staff. I didn't have any signs of bedbugs. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Nice before you walk into the rooms. They smell like Marijuana as soon as you enter. The staff search the rooms, throw your stuff on the floor and then break it. Do not stay here! Nothing about this place is good.

The place has BED BUGS. My boyfriend, a couple friends and I stayed here for Senior Week 2014. We thought it was really nice when we walked in and my boyfriend even checked the bed a couple times because of previous reviews we read before coming. We arrived on a Saturday and on Sunday night, my boyfriend came out of the shower with bites all across his back (the scars are still there 4 months later). We looked it up on the internet and knew we had bed bugs. We went to the office, and they told us to go to another hotel who then told us to go to another hotel. Finally, we spoke with a manager and she sent maintenance up to our room. They checked the bed and lifted the head board and there were bugs (not a overwhelming amount). Our friends did not check their rooms because they did not want to know if they had them or not. From there, they provided us with large black trash bags to place all our cloth items in and they washed them for us at the Tidelands Hotel across the street free of charge. They also gave us a king suite (2 king begs in 2 different bedrooms both with TVs, a kitchen, and a sleeper sofa) with a wrap around porch and a couple hundred dollars back with no hassle. The new room at Tidelands was extremely nice (a lot better than Ambassador) but the water in the shower did not get warm. Overall, I am emotionally scarred from my experience at Ambassador because I will never go to a cheap hotel again and I still have dreams about the bed bugs.

As soon as we got there, it looked very off. The parking lot was flooded making it hard to get our belongings out of the car and to make things more strange, there was a mattres just out in the open outside where their footwash was located. My boyfriend and I paid for the two bedroom apartment. Everything looked nice and neat but once we started to look around closely we started to notice things. For example, there were hand prints and markings all over the walls and the stains on the carpet, not to mention the DEAD FLIES on the walls. Then I had that feeling to check the beds. So I started to pull up the sheets didn't see any bed bugs or any signs of them. On our second day there my boyfriend and his friend woke up with some very odd bites, they were infact BED BUGS! they had the bites all over their arms and legs and inlcuding their face! Luckily for me I slept with long pants and socks but still managed to get me on my arms. I will not be returning back to this place not even if it was free. On the brightside the people who work there are very poliet. All in all if you want something cheap and don't care much for bed bugs then this is the place for you.
