I booked the hotel about two months in advance for a family vacation. I paid in full right away. Maybe 48 hours later I called to cancel our reservations and get my money back as the family we were going down with also booked a hotel for all of us. The management refused to refund my money and basically told me it was my own fault. The website says I can get my money back. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

The hallway smelled of weed. The people upstairs sound like a heard of elephants and are letting their kids throw stuff off the balcony. Granted the plan was to stay here just to sleep but who can sleep with all that noise.

Took my mom for a pre Mother's Day girls trip. I knew when I pulled up that this place was a dump! Dirty carpets, pool filled partially filled with moldy water, dirty rooms/bathroom… I could go on & on. Will never visit this DUMP again.

Place was ok compared to others. We stayed in the rear old sea bay hotel not the best western our front. Website said they had laundry room, found out it was under construction. Wi-Fi was horrible if no non existent. Pool closes at 9 think that’s a little early. Room was clean and nice. Staff was awesome. Fager’s Island is behind hotel, was impressed that on weekends they had hotel staff in the parking lot at night to protect our stay from the waves of partying people from Fagers. Deck chairs at the rear hotel we’re plastic and flimsy. Front hotel had nice wooden chairs. Was nice to have two choices of pools. Not happy with the holiday price spike paid almost double for our stay. Overall I’d stay here again.

The location is very good but that’s about it. It’s walking distance to a lot of main attractions. As for the hotel itself it’s extremely outdated. The rooms wreak the second you walk in. The hallways smell disgusting and the mattresses are horrendous. I had to clean the air conditioning filter which looks like it hasnt been touched in years. Given the weekend rates of this place they need to do a much better job making it look presentable. And good luck getting house keeping to give you new towels.

Sea Bay is a nice, clean hotel with a very friendly staff. We ate at the very reasonably priced cafe which had great food and excellent service. We enjoyed the pool area as well. Only issue for me was the water pressure in the shower, but you can't go wrong by staying here.

I stayed here for 3 nights. I received a promo booking that gave money to spend at the Sea Bay cafe. I was given an envelope with coupons inside. The women staffed upon my arrival told me I had $80 to use at the cafe and also wrote the $80 amount on the corner of my envelope. I spent roughly $76-78$ at the cafe. Upon checking out and starting my drive back home I noticed I was charged about $20. I called the hotel to see what this charge was about. The first lady I talked to was really nice but handed me off to Darryl who was night and day from the first woman I talked to. He over talked me and didn't let me explain the communication I received. He was very argumentative and combative to my situation. If their employee made a mistake and I was only supposed to receive $60 complimentary then that could be explained and an apology for the error could have sufficed. Instead I spent $800 to stay at this hotel for 3 nights to then have them steal an extra $20 from me. We had black mold in our shower (like other people have mentioned in reviews) and our dresser had holes in it. The staff was nice outside of this Darryl guy who had no customer service at all. Stay elsewhere even if you have to pay a little more. Trust me.

Great hotel in a great location! We got a room with a king sized bed in the main building. Our room was huge! Even the bathroom and patio are spacious. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Make sure to check out their little cafe too, they have great breakfast options! Side note — a couple of my friends were staying here at the same time and they didn't have a great experience like we did. They had a room with two double beds in the West building; their room smelled musty and dirty, and it was small and not as nice as ours. Also, at check in, the customer service representative failed to tell them their room was in another building, so they spent a good amount of time wandering around trying to find their room (with the same check in representative watching and still not telling them where to go). So I guess the service and rooms are a hit or miss at this hotel, but we'll definitely be getting a king sized room again!

Nice hotel. Right in the main strip and easy to locate. Right on bus route. Affordable for those of us in a budget. There is a pool on main hotel side and also one o. The annex next door.

Staff and management very very friendly. We found a room last minute. They gave us a nice clean room, with a pretty decent view. Provided the best service and staff. Super hospitable, kind, friendly and very professional. We were very satisfied with this hotel. I would recommend to friends and family.

1st off I want to start by saying this is one of the best staff around, very friendly and polite. We went up to our room and it was clean and smelled clean the view was great. My only complaint is the water pressure, it cut out on me when I had shampoo in my hair but came back. No worries I will definitely be bringing my family back to this hotel. Thanks guys for the pleasant stay.

Best value for your dollar. That being said it's a hole in the wall type of hotel, so if you are looking for a great location with great view and are looking for a good time, this is your place. If you're looking for that luxurious family vacation then this isn't your place. The rooms will want you wishing for more but it has all your basic needs.

We eat at the Ses Bay Cafe everytime we go to OC. My oldest daughter loves that they have pork roll and loved the potatoes you get with breakfast. I love that it’s not an overpriced restaurant and it served delicious food. We’ve been eating there for years even back when it was the Coaches Den. It’s our little secret place to eat.

Always a pleasure staying here the staff is friendly, they are like family to us. Our favorite place to stay.

Not the greatest. Very small, fridge has the smallest freezer I have ever seen and I ended up throwing away about 2/3 of what I brought. Definitely could have been cleaner! No table to sit at, although there were 2 chairs. Way too expensive for what you get. Will never stay here again.

Very close to everything you need to the beach and excellent service but not for resting for too long.

Cafe: Delicious food, excellent service — a quick lunch while waiting for conference to start. Meeting room was large enough to accommodate us and the ice water offered was a nice touch. We'll be back!

Great hotel, love the lobby and the Cafe is great food. Pricing was great for the days spent. The rooms could use some new beds but manageable.

The lobby is immaculate. Too bad I had to use 2 cans of Lysol and 2 containers of wipes before I would even bring my luggage in. It could have used a gallon of bleach as well. They barely made a one star. The wash cloth I went to use on my face looked like it would have been used to clean the floor, if it had ever been cleaned. The deck smells like an old bar — stale beer and P. May be good for the drunken people who would lay their head any where but I won't return. I can't believe they wanted 165 in August for this room. All I can say is YUCK!

Room was very nice and clean. Quiet. The pool was clean and nice as well. Helpful staff. One issue is the sliding door to the deck area didn't seal very well, and a whistle would occur from the crack when the wind blew.

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the past few years. The rooms are large and the price isnt terrible. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the room itself. Me personally before I even bring my stuff in rip all bedsheets off and check for bed bugs. NO bed bugs obviously but the extra blankets and pillows smelled like they havent been washed for a few visits. Cleanliness of the bed itself was "okay" but it seemed like the rushed through cleaning our room and it smelled like pee when we first came in. The front desk was very nice but they dont have good cameras therefore I was unable to find out who hit & totaled my car then left the scene overnight. They did try to help but why no cameras facing the street that leads to the hotel? The cafe is very well priced and the food was pretty good. I would stay again but hoping the maid staff do a little better job cleaning before check in. Our maid was very nice and always made sure we had clean towels and stuff. I dont let maid service enter when im not there so I cant complain about them not cleaning during my stay. I would recommend as the last time I stayed there I loved my stay! The only other complaint I have about my last stay (2 summers ago) was hotel staff stalking us when they thought we were "smoking weed" on the balcony. I could hear them talking below our balcony and standing there for over an hour staring at us.

Amazing location one block from the ocean. We walked over and back each day. A short drive down the strip to the boardwalk. Hotel is what you'd expect from a hotel. Soft pillows, lumpy bed. Could use an update, bathroom fixtures were rusty. Fans/exhaust could be stronger in the bathroom, out suits never really dried out. Furniture was older, giving off a 1970s vibe. Friendly staff. Attached cafe was pretty decent, expected to see more seafood on the menu. There was a line of people waiting to check in, never experienced that before, but the line flowed and desk staff remained courteous. Pool was decent too. Would stay here again!

First time eating at the cafe. We had heard good things. Our waitress depended on her memory to bring our breakfast rather than writing the order down… she didn't have a very good memory. I noticed others using pads to take orders. It's not fine dining, no one expects a waitress in a cafe to not use paper and pencil. I also asked for butter for my toast and still haven't seen that. Food was mediocre.

The Sea Bay Hotel has a great location. It's Bayside, yet it's right near the ocean as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the cafe has amazing food. The Sea Bay Hotel is a great place to vacation with family or friends. 10/10 recommend.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, literally a two minute walk to the beach. The hotel has it's own cafe and the food is delicious. The staff are lovely and the rooms are beautiful, right next to the bay, it's a lovely view.

This time just returned to the Seabay Cafe for brunch. Food was good and service was fine. Stayed at the hotel 2 years ago and although the building is a little dated and in need of an upgrade, the room was clean and adequate. Price for the room was good and view of the bay was amazing.

Very pleased with our stay at Sea Bay. The hotel was located close to the boardwalk and beach. The lobby had a unique 'South Beach' type of decor. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds had an average comfort level. I would definitely recommend this hotel as well as the cafe located within the building.

Stayed at Sea Bay in OC for one night. Room was big, which was nice. Decor left a little to be desired, which I guess is to be expected since it's an older place. Everything worked, so I don't really have any conplaints.

Great location. Walking distance to most of the good spots. Rooms are nice; 3.5 stars. Would be 4 but beds were small and not very comfortable.

Completely unprofessional, incompetent security staff. Upon our return from dinner we were wrongfully accused of urinating off the balcony, destruction or property, and evicted from the hotel on our very first night and refused a refund before stepping in the front door. I asked to speak to hotel management and was told I could not. I walked into the lobby to talk to the front desk and was arrested for trespassing. One girl behind the desk was however extremely helpful as she gave me the name and number of a manager, since there was none on duty, while security staff had police place me under arrest. My recommendations would be to find another hotel other than the Best Western which security denied us from since they manage it as well.

We stayed at Sea Bay Hotel to be able to walk to several spots for dinner and drinks like Dead Freddie's and Secrets. The rooms are reasonably priced and have huge comfortable beds, and feature a sizeable refrigerator and microwave. I will happily continue to go to Sea Bay Hotel.

The over all presence was exceptional. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also a convenient location to almost everything. Room was beautiful really liked how spacious they are. Definitely would stay again.

This was my first time staying at a hotel in OCMD, I usually camp at one of the local campgrounds. It wasn't a nice experience here. When my husband and I tried to check in at 11 am they told us they'd text or email us when the room was ready let's just say they never text or called us. We waited 6 hours before my husband and I got impatient and went into the hotel and asked when our room would be ready, the receptionist was too busy "waiting for my food" that she ordered from the cafe to notice we were even standing there in the first place! After we got our keys we went to our room and there were flies everywhere and my husband noticed the toilet kept running. I can understand the flies because of the "ocean view" balcony but when my husband opened the lid to the toilet it was brown and disgusting! We tried getting someone to fix it and we went out for dinner as they fixed it and we came back to it still running! The "ocean view" balcony was actually a nice view of the parking lot and pool. We never got room service so we ended up running out of towels and trash cans and one of the cleaning ladies rudely said to us "if you didn't sleep all day wed be able to clean your room, our policy states if we can't get in by 11 you don't get your room service". I understand that but they knocked on our door at 8am if I'm on vacation I am not waking up at 8am for someone to clean the room! Not worth the 200$ per night we payed!

I cannot believe the bad reviews I am seeing for this hotel. My family (sister, mom, and four-year-old son) just returned from a 3-night stay at the Sea Bay. We were all concerned about our room because of the reviews; however, we were completely satisfied for our whole trip. The lobby is tastefully decorated with royal blue walls and a white board trim half way down. There is a flat screen television with a table a stools, large seats with cute little fish pillows, and beautiful vases and paintings. My initial thought was, "This place is CLEAN! " I immediately lost all worries about my room being a dump. The front desk attendants were friendly and they even let us check in about 40 minutes early. One elevator was currently down while we were there; however, there was barely a wait to get on. We stayed on the fourth floor (room 401) and it was perfectly clean when we entered. The beds were amazingly comfortable and there was a flat screen TV in the room. Our cleaning lady (Daniel) was awesome. She gave us fresh towels and washcloths every morning. I noticed each bed is also has certified bed bug covers and water proof casings! No worries about sleeping on a nasty mattress. The inside of the drawers were clean and so was the bathroom. As for the restaurant, I cannot review that because I ate out every night. My favorite places to eat were Jonah and the Whale and the Angler (you get a $2 cruise if you purchase a $12 dinner).

Great little hotel! This place has everything you need for your trip to OCMD… Close to the ocean, two pools, right next to Fager's Island, and a shirt walk to Seacrets. Great rooms that are clean and spacious.

Staff was nice, room was generally clean, bathrooms were nice. Beds where not very comfortable but I wasn't expecting more for the price, overall good value. Check in and check out was a breeze.

Local family owned and operated hotel. It's a basic hotel that will accommodate all your needs. The beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly. There is a restaurant located on site.

RM 217 was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was very nice. The walls are on the thin side and you could hear voices from other closeby guests. Our room overlooked the pool and you could hear the traffic noise. The worst part were guests in I think rooms 218 and 219 going in and out multiple times making noise and talking to one or two guys 'hanging' out in the hall on the floor until about 1:30am — made it very difficult to sleep. The hotel is on the bay side and you have to cross Coastal Highway to get to the ocean side Beach.

I stayed for an extended time and everyone there are so nice I would recommend it to anyone.

Less than pleased with this hotel. Lady at the front desk was less than polite, she cared more about getting off work than doing her job. Promised 3 parking spots only received 1. Also had no wheel chairs for my handicapped friend. Won't be staying there next year.

It was okay. The alarm clock in the room next to us went off at mid night.

It got the job done, but it was not fancy by any means. Comforters were old and ratty, beds weren't very comfy. There's a little pool outside and it's only a few blocks from Seacrets, so location is great. The balcony was nice for chillin outside, no views though. A few of us shared the room. Beware — there is a $10 per person fee for each additional person over 2. The coffee was funky and not great quality. It was probably the cheapest hotel in OC with a great location on Labor Day weekend, but I'm not sure I'd stay again.

Not bad for the money. The East building has nice, though not direct views of the bay. Can be a little crowded during golf trips in June. Beds are ok. Lots of parking and walking distance to Fagers and Seacrets.
