Place was gross cockroaches everywhere dirty sheets and all dont go there ever.

I honesty do not know where to even begin! On Saturday January 19th I checked into your 1709 Edgewood Rd, Edgewood, MD location. Upon arrival to my room, neither key I was given worked. I made the trip back to the office in below freezing temperatures and was given a new set. I was finally able to get into my room. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! The room smelled of sewage, I had to leave the door open just to get the odor out, which by the way is not very safe. The sink was broken, half of the lampshades were ripped and filthy, which didn’t really matter since there were only 2 lightbulbs in the entire room. The floors were dirty and sticky. The bathroom was horrendous! Dirty toilet, tub was black, urine stains on the floor, dirt and black mold around the toilet, balls of hair in the shower. I found items under the bed which appeared to have been there for quite some time with the amount of dust and dirt on them. Headboard was off the wall and just lying on the floor. There were large holes in the walls and also obscenities written on the wall with black marker. The amount of mold in the room made me sick from breathing it. This is 100% unacceptable. I have stayed at many of your establishments all over the country and I have never experienced anything more atrocious! If I had any other option, I would have never stayed there and exposed myself to this filth!

Did not get the king bed room we requested well in advance. Went to front desk and was told one was not available. After inspecting room more closely we found it very dirty with mold in the bathroom and water on the floor from the AC. My husband went to front desk to complain and request the room we reserved. After a very nasty confrontation with the employee at the desk we did get a king bed room. The second room had major damage to the walls and the AC unit. The walls had obvious stains and spills in numerous places. There was no remote for the TV and one of the lights were missing both a bulb and shade. It was obvious people were living at the motel. Walking back from the main office I was confronted with two large dogs running loose in and out of a room without an owner anywhere to be found. The room next to us had a dog left alone barking non stop. We choose Motel 6 due to your pet friendly policy on our trip between Florida and Maine. I took pictures of the damage to protect myself from the motel trying to claim we did the damage and charging us. It was obvious this damage was old due to its coloring and stains. Three of the motels were acceptable for the price we paid. This motel is disgusting should be an embarrassment to your company, These ratings are only for this motel. I gave the office staff this rating as the young lady in the morning was very friendly. The night employee was confrontational over everything.

God I wish I could give a negative score. I arrived and checked in, after entering the first room I was given, I enter the bathroom to find a giant leak in the ceiling on the second floor. I asked for a new room. No problem I figured maybe it's from all the rain. The second room I was given had the same issue. So then I was given a room on the on the other side of the building. Well this room was a disaster and a half. There was a sticky residue on floor. Cigarette burns in the blanket in a NON SMOKING room. In the chair there was what appeared to be a a seamen stain. Mold was growing on the ceiling. Half the lights didn't work, and the lamp shade must have been involved in some sort of domestic dispute due to being all roughed up. The fixtures such as the dresser had handles falling off. All in all it was a complete wreck. After documenting the issues via photographs I showed the front desk person. Who very rudely agrees to transfer me rooms. Finally in room attempt number 4, much of the issues where the same as the previous room. However instead of seamen it appears to be blood. I reserved the hotel for 3 nights. I checked out on night number 1. And called corporate to switch to another room. I will attempt to attach photos. Be warned do not go. They also only clean every 3 days so getting new sheets wasn't even an option.

Absolutely awful. Rooms were dirty, especially the bathroom. There was mold all over the bathroom ceiling, exposed wiring for bathroom light fixture. Hardwood floors through out the room had a sticky substance on them, beds only had one blanket, and no bed spread. Only one light in the room worked. Buttons missing from telephone and the room phone actually did not even work. Exposed wiring fixture hanging from the wire for what appears to be a light that would illuminate in the event of an emergency / fire. Was supposed to be a smoke free room but smelt like someone just finished smoking in the room before we arrived. Were also told there would be a refrigerator and microwave in the room for our use however, they were not in the room. We ended up leaving the facility shortly after arriving and will never stay at another motel 6. Did not want to show any stars for this facility however, app would not let me post without filling in at least one star.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL! This was absolutely the worst Motel 6 experience I have ever had. The room was beyond filthy, AC didn't cool. Walls had dried material dripping down them. Sheets were dirty and one bed had visible bugs in it. There was an opened condom package next to the bed and a used condom under the bed. There was all kinds of debris under the bed. There was trash in the trash cans. The bathroom had mildew and filth all over. There were bugs in the bathtub. We left after seeing the room. We recently moved across the country and we have dogs so our hotel choices are limited but the rest of the Motel 6's were adequate to good. This one should be reported to the health department, it needs to be closed down. I can't say it enough, it was disgusting. I wish I could give "0" stars.

I would say it was pretty good here for the price. The hotel room wasn't very clean though, we mopped the floor and swept and it was obvious from the dirty mop that the floor hadn't been mopped for a long time. There was a lot of dust and dirt under the bed and in between furniture. We expected the above for the great price though. I had a problem with some of the staff though. We asked for more pillows (for our children) and the front desk person refused to accommodate or even explain why. Just "no, I don't have any" At the pool, there was who I suspected to be a resident directing everyone around and trying to boss people around. As if she was employee. Very annoying, noting too crazy though. Washing machine didn't work. Annoying. Ice machine didn't work. Annoying. great price tho. Shouldn't take much effort to clean the floors after people leave though. If not for the messed up appliances, and rude staff, I might have given a higher score.

I walked into this Motel 6 after 12 hours on the road, and was told by Mary, the desk clerk, that there were no more rooms. I went out to my car, and reserved a room on the Motel 6 website. When I returned to the desk, Mary seemed quite unhappy that she had to rent me the room. I don’t understand why she told me that there were no rooms, when this was apparently an untrue statement. I have stayed in many Motel 6 locations over the years, and this is the first time I have ever been refused accommodations. I am a respectable 68 year old African-American woman. I don’t know if this had anything to do with Mary lying about the situation. I wrote the manager, and I am also informing you of this issue. I spoke with the manager, Craig Patel, and he apologized for the behavior of the desk clerk who refused me accommodation, even though there actually were two rooms available, as I discovered on the Motel 6 website. Mr. Patel was very gracious, and offered me a free accommodation on my next trip south. He has spoken to Mary, the offending desk clerk, on the phone, and plans to speak with her in person soon. I am pleased with his prompt action in this matter.

I was only visiting friends who were staying at this hotel. Just from my passing experience I can say the service isn't great and the rooms aren't filthy, but they also aren't clean. It's confortable if you have nowhere else to go and you need a cheap place to stay.

If there was a worse rating than one star I would give it a zero! While we were checking in three people in front of us were checking out after just checking in. They stated the rooms were nasty and smelled like smoke. My husband and I decided to check in dispite the three unhappy customers. We got our room key and opened the door to our room. We found the beds unmade, no toilet paper, no towels, no pillows on the bed and the TV remote missing. We immediately went back to the front desk to let the front clerk know our concerns about the room and ask to get another room. He exchanged our room key for another room which was a little better. It did smell like smoke, people next door throwing things at each other and yelling most if the night. The pool is only open every day from 2pm to 8pm with the manger of the hotel smoking, drinking and rude to those around her during our 1.5 day stay. I would not wish this experience on anyone and will definitely not be staying there again. We were in the area for a 2 day Cal Ripken Baseball Tournament.

I have been to Motel 6s all over the USA and never had a bad experience until now. The room is absolutely disgusting, the walls are covered in stains, there’s a huge hole in the wall, mould all over the shower, the floor is grimy and worst of all the sheets are stained and have not been washed — there are large yellow stains and unwashed blood marks. There are two phones in the room that both are out of the wall and not working and the garbage wasn’t even empty. No idea how a health department has not shut this hell hole down. Constant sirens going by and people in the lobby happily talking about their court dates and warrants out for them. I have never had an experience like this with Motel 6s, stay away from the disgusting place!

Last minute online booking for king size non-smoking room. When arrived, was told that the king room was no good and better to have room w/ 2 queen beds even though I was s single. Room was smelly. One bed had obvious cigarette burns in sheet. Other bed was rumpled and appeared to have had someone lain on it (head dent in pillows). I have pictures.

The whole room was dirty, the air conditioner console is filthy and the buttons broken, we did not achieve gradual temperature. When we went to shower there was no water coming out of the bathtub's plumbing. Besides the bad smell and the filthy other areas.

My boyfriend and I have stayed at this location previously, usually it’s very clean. However in room 238, the walls were covered in dirt, grime, scratches, & whatever else was on them that made them look very old & filthy. All of the dressers were broke & falling apart. Some lights didn’t work, the sink was pretty much falling off the hinges. Even though the price we payed was cheap I wouldn’t expect anyone to stay in a room like this. The floor was so dirty, when we picked the floor towel up after showering it was black. Usually they are up to date I’m guessing they gave us an older room. The quality could have been fixed just by cleaning.

Phone was broken could call internet password wouldn’t work that I had to call the front desk for and guy hung up on 5 different times and argue with me about it and ice machine was broken room was post to be non smoking and smelled like smoke and bed spreads had burn marks on them from smoking rooms. Shower head barely worked had barely any water come out over this place was a dump won’t stay there ever again staff rude over all nasty looking place.

Employees where nice but I will never go back, due to how dirty the room was, plus there is webs all around the room, I even had to go to the office and ask for freshner… I found hair on the sheets… So I wasted money to stay there, since we left and went home… Never again.

Both nights had very loud scenes. One night the cops even came to out neighbour room and the next there was a party right outside beside the pool. The doors being not extremely air tight we could hear everything as if it was next door. Having said that the lady at the counter was nice but the actual nights we stayed here were horrible.

Extremely disappointed. The room was dirty especially the floors in corners and near furniture. Later in the evening when I attempted to turn TV on for 1st time the remote did not work. Too late to deal with it for me at front desk. I have stayed at many Motel 6’s over the years and never had an experience like this. If my wife had been with me I can tell you we’d never stay in one again. I would not recommend this particular unit to anybody. The woman at the counter that checked me in (and training someone as well) was extremely friendly and helpful.

I wouldnt even give this place one star. There are other peoples hairs all through the bed and crusty stains on the sheets and cover blanket that the only cause I can think of is semen. This "smoke free" room reeks of cigarettes and both the floor and the blankets are burned through. A large portion of the mirror has been blacked out somehow in a way that looks like mold. The staff was unhelpful and rude and would not take his eyes off of us as we got ourselves ready for the night. I refuse to go into the bathroom. The entire thing is absolutely revolting.

Rood was great-clean and comfy. Quiet Location and staff was very friendly. Bad thing is no breakfast.

Bed wet with urine. Cigarette smoke in "Smoke free" rooms. Refrig broken. Generally disgusting.

Rooms are SUPER basic. The breakfast bar is just coffee. There is black mold growing in the shower, the sheets had other peoples hair in it. Absolutley a cheap hole in the wall. Avoid unless you cant afford anything else.

They have bed bugs and need to be shut down. They are cheap don't want to give out extra towels wash clothes or toilet paper.

Our reservation were given away due to weather related road closures. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The beds were ok. The pillows were horrible and no hot water.

Room was discusting… Blood on pillows… Dirt everywhere… Hair all over the bathroom… The toilet had toilet paper in and and wasn't flushed… When I went to go get my money back thr manager wouldn't give it to me…

Rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. Its typically pretty quite, and there are multiple service stations, and restaurants within a mile of the hotel.

I am truly amazed that this location is even still open and not shut down by the health department. There was visible mold thru the entire shower and bathtub, holes where electrical wires were visible, chipping paint everywhere, didn't look like it had been cleaned in a year, holes the size of a human head in the wall, sheets had stains on them, and many other health hazards. The staff other then Mary were rude, didn't understand anything I was saying let alone why or how I could have an issue with their "beautiful room". I took pictures of just how horrible it was.

Big hole in the wall plaster, from where the door handle was hitting it I think. No bedspread on the bed, just a thin blanket. Is this the new standard for those travelling with pets or did housekeeping just forget? Door sticky to open, shower tough to turn on. Dresser had no drawers (not that I need them, just looked weird). Didn't get a recepit, don't even know how much I was charged. Hope it was right (made my reservation on line)

Room was not clean, the fire alarm was beeping when I arrived. I called the front desk asking them to change the battery. They said they put in a service but no one arrived that day. I ended up buying a battery and changing it myself. The battery inside was corroded and obviously had not been looked in years. Room was stained, there mysterious gunk on the box spring, room was bare and uninviting. You have lost my business.

Probably would not use this location again. Definitely not up to the standard I've experienced in the past with Motel6. The room was sub-standard, was not cleaned, and we could tell the sheets hadn't been changed. We slept in our clothes. Toilet ran water all night.

There were bugs (dead and alive) in the room, specifically in the refrigerator and near the bed. The furniture was old and broken (drawer fronts were broken off). The shower handle was loose and difficult to turn on. The bed was decent and the place was quiet. The price was low, but not worth it. I would have paid an extra $20 to stay at a better motel.

First room supposed to be no smoking had a disabled smoke detector broken TV smelled of smoke and had phone pulled out of wall. Thankfully front office staff was accommodating getting me into new c room and thanking me for alerting them. The entire hotel looked tired and in disrepair. There was some suspect dealings going on outside some of the rooms. Overall not a great experience that I hope to not repeat. Probably will not visit again.

This is a hotel to regulate the entrances to the street is very good ciando walk with pets. It was clean and is non smoking.

I was debating on staying at a hotel or drive 100 miles home to only return the next day. So I decided to reserve a 2 day stay and was given a room with the room in disarray. The room had a hole in the wall from a door handle, a smoke detector hanging by electrical wiring, black dirt or mold all over three of the wall, CATV faceplate hanging by the RG6 cabling, 3 pillows for a King bed, and many other things, but the front desk clerk took my request for a new room willingly and obliged. The new room was in way better shape than last, but still had the common complaints like linen, equipment age, and poor maintenance schedule.

The room was easy to find and cheap. However, because it was cheap, it wasn't the greatest of places. There weren't enough pillows and the blankets were of poor quality. Check out time seemed incredibly early as well.

I'm from Salisbury Maryland. Moved to Baltimore CITY about 20 years ago… coming OUT of AN 18 year relationship… NOT MUCH MONEY… @he wouldn't leave,. SO I DID… at MOTEL 6' (Edgewood) … SAW that I was paying daily, FOR over 2 weeks and. I was offered a monthly PRICE. Rather than paying daily… I love susan… the lady who takes care of the place… she's very serious and business minded… the pool is beautiful… free parking… and the accommodations are nice… love it,

Well it's an old saying. You pay for what you get. I really can't explain the stay. We didn't get any housekeeping service however that was fine. I went to the front desk and the lady was nice about it. I asked for batteries for the remote, an ice bucket in which I received. The stay there was quiet. Shopping stores and convenience stores were conveniently and easy accessible to either road or highway. I think once if they have a full staff that property can be a very beautiful place.

This room was disgusting. I had to drive to a Dollar Tree to buy a broom to sweep my room and Lysol wipes to clean the bathroom! There were dead roaches on the floor. The bathroom had three different spots where it was leaking from the above floor room. The room had a terrible stench. The blankets had cigarette holes all throughout with yellow stains on the bed sheets. There are big holes in the wall. The fridge did NOT work. Never in my life will I stay here again or recommend anyone to stay here.

I was only there for about ten minutes before I realized that I could not stay in that room. The linen was not clean. The room was not up to standards. The clerk gave me no problem about returning my money to me. She apologized for the cleaning staff's negligence!

The room was ancient, disgusting and does not reflect Motel 6's renovation measures. It is of the utmost importance that Motel 6 or G6 Hospitality SHUT this hotel down. It defamed my childhood impression of Motel 6.

The Wi-Fi signal in my room was too weak to use. Other than that, I had a pleasant time. Good TV, comfortable beds, and low prices.

You could definitely tell drugs have been done in that room. Holes in the curtain. The chain on the door wouldnt hold if someone would try to get in. Didnt make me feel all that safe. Kinda felt like 50 wasnt worth that room.

The only nice thing was the flooring was new. There was holes in the walls and ceiling. All vending machines were broken. The slide lock was broken on the door. Car alarms going off all night. Not the worst but close.

4th time staying since 2013. I am assuming this location is under new ownership or Management since my last stays. This WAS a very nice room to stay in. This time, a very different story. The first room we got, the electricity wasn't working and walls all scuffed up. They offered us a new room. We got in the new room and there was not only some funk still left on walls never cleaned, same with around the caulk in bathroom. Our pillow cases and sheets had burn holes and hair on them. The TVs are no longer updated and they no longer offer irons and blow dryers in the rooms, as they did before. The water pressure was very weak and the hot water NOT so hot. Housekeeping does a poor job, and furniture is now looking beat up in there. The front desk female, I think "Marty" was super nice, the lobby was nice and the room did NOT stink… the only nice things I can say about this place but I would not stay there again.

It's okay They have a pool outside and it's close to I95&695 I do not recommend children here.

Grossest hotel room I've ever stayed in. Sheets had stains on them. Carpet in the room had stains. We didn't dare to open the quilts provided on the bed, we slept on top. But I guess overall it was worth the money we payed. Very cheap.

Very disappointed. Air conditioner did not work properly; could not switch rooms, none available to switch to. Floor was dirty in room and bathroom, also strong smell in bathroom. Motel 6, anywhere, never again.

The room smelled like a old warehouse with no windows. I began to check the bed and the sheets was dirty with hair all over the bed. I called room service and they sent someone over to change the sheets but every sheets he brought had stains all over them. And to make things worse the towels look brown. I wish there was a way to show you pictures.

The room could've been more clean and more soap but it was over all a decent night.

The rooms are spacious and clean, staff was courteous and very friendly. Vehicle access is not the best due to the location of the entrance and partially due to the fact that the snow removal was left in piles which block access and visibility.
