Long Post Alert. So this was my room at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salisbury!. I 1st asked the front desk clerk if we can get new linen. Mind you, she comes in the room on a personal call using every profanity known to man. After the bed is changed, we check the rest of the room and find one disgusting thing after another. So I kindly ask for another room. The front desk clerk tells me she needs to call her manager 1st. She goes in the back to call the GM (Anne Webster), she comes back and proceeds to tell me that we have to leave the hotel. When I asked why, the front desk clerk tells me that we have too many complaints. I then ask the clerk to help me understand what is going on, she says it's all falls on the GM (Anne Webster). At this point we were on the phone with IHG Rewards, the front desk clerk then comes to me and says "I asked you to leave and since you haven't complied, I'm going to call the cops" I then say do what you must, but im at least going to make a complaint. The front desk clerk begins to catch an unnecessary attitude. I tell her that I have been respectful the whole time and that her attitude is unwarranted. She tells me that I haven't seen an attitude yet. Thankfully my mother raised me better than hers did, because I kept it professional. Thankfully another worker was there and tells her that she can't call the cops while a guest is on the phone with IHG Corporate.

This hotel has very unsanitary and dirty rooms. They don’t change the bed linen or clean the bathrooms. They will call the police on you and have you escorted off the property and steal your money that you paid for the room if you complain.

I completely understand that many places are short staffed and I’ve been more than patient, but my patience have run out with the GM, Anne Webster of this hotel. I’ve tried to contact the Ms. Webster over the last 3 weeks and have yet to receive a return call or email. I left a message with the front desk, I left a voicemail message on Ms. Webster’s direct line, and I also sent Ms. Webster an email via her gmail email address given thru IHG. I’ve been trying to contact the hotel to book a block of rooms for a wedding. I have spoken with someone at the property and that person confirmed that there were 26 rooms available on the date that I need, so they are not sold out. Even if they are sold out, I deserve a return call when I am attempting to do business with this hotel. After several attempts over 3 weeks there are no excuses for non returned messages. I am brand loyal to Holiday Inn after working for IHG for a lengthy amount of time, I believe in their product. My next call will be to Lila Hospitality because I do not appreciate being treated with such disrespect.

Anne is nasty that’s why! Get better staff who aren’t blatantly racist. It was coming through her pores.

By far the worst place ever! Anne has the nastiest attitude! She profiled my friends and I and treated us unfairly!

They are currently under construction, which they dont advise you when you book. They did not block off the rooms directly under their construction. There are signs posted throughout the hotel, indicating that construction will be from 10am to 6pm… however they have been at it since 830am. The front desk was advised and the construction continues. Our room is directly under the construction!

We stayed at this Holiday Inn on 09/02/2018 and Ray was at the front desk. She was the kindest, most hospitable hotel employee we have ever met. She put us on the top floor so no one would disturb our kids, she offered to get us a crib and she was very helpful. The gentleman working there offered to carry our bags was also very kind. Ray definitely made sure our stay was enjoyable.

Unbelievable! Checked in late, there was a customer arguing with the desk clerk about the vending machine. Really tired, we went to our room. In the bathroom, the sink faucet was running water and it was not stop but the cold water would also not come on. The entire faucet was loose. Room was not clean as evidenced by the corners, etc. Got up in the morning to shower, THERE WAS NO SHOWER CURTAIN! How do you miss that? Oh yeah, didn't even notice the water running, why would you notice no shower curtain?! I told the desk when we left and they didn't really seem to care. Last time at this last resort!

Nice place, decent breakfast as complentary breakfasts go. It's beginning to show a little wear. Local softball tournaments in Mid-July make reservations a strong suggestion. Conveniently situated. We will come back.

If I would of known what I know now, I would of NEVER suggested this hotel for my family to stay. I work for a large hotel chain and what I witnessed at this hotel with the general manager Anne Webster and how she spoke and treated a guest is unacceptable, unprofessional, ignorant, disrespectful, rude and overall inhuman treatment. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this hotel if you gave me a free room, no thanks! Highly disappointed and will never suggest this place again. Update the mangers response did not address the issue! I seen what you did to that person, they way you handled it was totally inhumane. From start to finish ANNE WEBSTER G. M.! you should be ashamed of yourself!

Very nice staff and room had good accommodations for our 5 guests. The breakfast was good as well.

Room was clean, but not up to date. Coletta at front desk very helpful. Lack of breakfast foods with busy graduation week/weekend — looks like poor planning.

The hotel was nice but the shower was broke and the refrigerator was not getting any cold. It was nice and clean the staff was wonderful. I would stay there again.

We had some family come to town and we set them up nearby at this hotel. Nice rooms. Fair prices.

Great Staff everyone from checkin with Rae to breakfast with Edith to Sarah checking what we needed every morning to check out with C was exceptional service from all staff. We stayed 3 nights. They made traveling for handicapped people a very pleasant experience. Edith made sure we had everything we wanted. Their free breakfast was fresh and tasty much more than we expected or have experienced in other hotels This place will be our go to hotel when we are in the area Very clean great ambiance Excellent service from beginning to end.

This hotel looks like a motel. Completely nasty, hair all over the bathroom, dirt on the floor and something black on the sheets (room 311). Trash on the floor throughout the hotel. Coetta moved us to a one king bed room, which could not accommodate our family of four. We were moved again to another room (room 217) the heating system did not work and she attempted to fix it, but to no avail. Now what? We have been waiting for over 20min for her to call us with a remedy. The next room was a little cleaner, but consistent with the rest of the hotel (dirty, broken tiles, dirt and hair throughout the room). The fitness center is subpar and only one cardio machine works. So get there early. The air/heater did not work as well. This hotel is completely garbage and falling apart. We are Gold members and we have never been subjected to such a low grade of a hotel. I wish I could attach photos of this disgusting hotel, but the administrator keeps removing them. Makes me wonder what they are trying to hide.

Good value, but it was loud. Fridge in room w a s noisy, the toilet was running all night and the alarm in the empty room next to me went off at 6am.

The place is always clean no matter what room we stay in. Recommend this place to all my friends.

On July 9th made a reservation for August 24-27.2017. Cancelled on July 14th, 2017. WHY are these THIEVES Charging my credit card for the full amount? Talked to the manager on site (witch) talked to CORPORATE office, both on August 25th. Told us don't worry here is your cancellation number minus 1 number. Wow. Now today they are trying again for the 553.28! What the f*** is wrong with this company?. This is how they treat MILITARY FAMILIES! Do not stay here. They are BS! Obviously they DID NOT READ MY REVIEW. WE HAVE A CANCELLATION NUMBER AND CASE NUMBER! Got phone records to prove this.

Clean, Comfortable and safe. My Family has 3 basic hotel needs, this hotel gets a 5* bc it had that and more… All of the staff were friendly, the breakfast was hot and good, the room was spacious for 4 people, our kids are daughters 11 & 17. As far as safety, the building is basically surrounded by a field and separated from major commercial areas, but just 7miles from downtown Salisbury. Felt very safe and quiet to sleep. This had everything we needed or wanted and we would stay here again. Thank you!

Nice hotel to stay at. Beds were comfortable, the room was a tad small though. The free continental breakfast was quite good. Hotel has an outdoor pool but didn't have time to check it out. Hotel is a good place to stay if you want to visit the beaches in Delaware or Maryland but save some money as opposed to staying at a hotel closer to the beaches. Beaches are within a hour's drive of hotel depending on where you go.

Perfect stay. The breakfast is one of the better ones I have seen; Pancakes, Cinnamon rolls among the typical things you will see at a Holiday Inn.

Easy to get too. Plenty of places to eat within a short distance. Room is very nice and has a microwave, refrigerator, couch and a small table to eat at. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is a nice size and modern.

My stay was great. I have an issue. I checked in with cash. Had to give a $200 cash deposit. I had to be to work the following morning at 7am. I lefted the room around 630ish. When I got to work I called the hotel to let them know I checked out already and I would be back to pick my deposit when I got off work. I was told I had to wait until actual check out time for them to check my room she took my information and said I would get a call back. Busy working never realized I didn't get a call back. The following day I had to leave the state due to my father being sick and passing away. When I returned back to Delaware I had no phone call, or message or check. I have called several times and I've only been getting let me take your information and give you a call back. The only reason why the GM was thrown in the equation is because I'm fustrated and got a little irate. Because I'm getting the run around about my deposit money. I still haven't talked to the GM yet. So instead of sending someone their deposit back you keep their money? You don't give courtesy calls? You don't send a check? You keep it for your personal use? Where is my deposit money? I did not smoke in the room, I did not destroy the room so there for I should have received my funds! So I guess Holiday Inn Express and Suites Salisbury-Delmar just keeps people money now like it was a giving bonus. Definitely Not.

Worst customer service I've ever had. Ann the manager was very rude. The breakfast was okay but they couldn't keep up with it. Worst hotel I ever stayed at!

Rude staff… waited 3 hours for a room that actually opened… till we got in it, the clock said 3am. Very unhappy with the manager Ann, made us leave after paying for 2 rooms for 2 niches because I made the company aware of the situation.
So I had 2 pay for 2 rooms not even being in them 8 hours…

Nice and clean, Justin at the counter was very polite and professional.

Had to relocate because best Western was condemned woke up tocno electric or heat with two newborn twins not very ecstatic and no compensation at all from best Western don't think I'll ever stay there again.

Standard hotel experience. Looked like there was dried up urine on the bathroom floor. — 1 star.

I forgot taking my skirt with me when checked out. Next day when I called the hotel they couldn't find it in lost and found.

Very clean room with comfortable beds, except for a few stains on walls and some damaged furnishings… otherwise everything in order for an efficient stay. Air quality in extra large rooms very good. Very nice staff. Pool a little old, however just the right temperature. Good water pressure, plenty of hot water, and working shower message! They went out of their way to show us hospitality, yet it wasn't all that relaxing. Pretty landscape around property. Breakfast was very good. However, beware the fluctuating price/rates which are set up to take advantage, and the local speedtraps! There is another less expensive Holiday Inn property a few miles before this one. Phone reception and Wifi very slow!

Checked in, first room had hair under the sheets and bugs in the bathtub, but they moved me to another room that had more bugs in the bathroom, but the hair wasn't in the bed it was on the bathroom floor and sink. Also the ceiling looked cracked and in serious need of repair. Final room seemed clean, the facet for the bath just about fell off in my hands but hey, we can't be perfect right! Now I can say that I'm the only one that I know to get two bug infested rooms plus more problems and get downgraded from a suite to a regular for 1500 ihg points. Keep your points how about I'm never coming back…
