This is by far one of the worse hotels I've ever stayed in. The front desk clerk didn't speak English very well. When I asked her about the incidental hold and how much it would be she stated she didn't know. When I asked if there was someone there who would know she said no. Then she began to yell at me. I left went to my car to call and a man answered the phone and stated to me that if I was from out of town I wouldn't have an incidental hold on my cc. But if I was a local resident of Topeka that ot would be a 60 hold on my card. So I said well I just traveled here from out of town and I'm not a Topeka resident and that your front desk clerk just told me I had to pay the fee. Now the guy told me no but then quickly switched up to yes you have to pay. Very poor customer service. I've been in the hotel industry well over 17 years and I've never experienced the mess I did at this place. Will not ever recommend this place to ANYONE!

Not fancy but clean. Microwave, fridge, coffee maker, iron and board, hair dryer, TV, desk, hair dryer, good AC, two double beds all in the room. Pool and spa, breakfast included. $60. That works just fine for us. But no elevator to 2nd floor rooms. There are several restaurants adjacent including a Denny's next door. Wal-Mart across the street.

Was really rude I came with my two sets of twins which she said I was lied about there age. N there was only suppose to be 4 people in the room. So I had to pay for the extra one person because of an extra twin. Suppose no manage no phone number to talk to the manager. Never again.

Wishing there was a way to give a 1/2 star. This is by far the WORST hotel we have ever stayed in. We specifically asked for a non-smoking room when booking, was given a smokers room. It smelled terrible and was very dirty. There was no remote in the room. The wiring to the outlets were pulled out of the wall and put on the floor. I highly recommend NEVER staying there unless it is your very last option.

Not a bad property by any measure, but not that good either. The room was clean but the finishings are dated. Are floor sloped significantly to the center of the room to the point where the dresser and table were noticeably leaning away from the walls. The AC performed dismally and we were hot all night. The staff was friendly.

Fast check in, clean room, lots of hot water, Denny's located across the street, what more could you ask for… And all this for $64 a night and a breakfast in the morning.

The furniture, wallpaper, carpet, lighting, hallways are all needs updated! The upside is the rooms are clean, reasonably spacious and the beds and pillows are comfortable! The manager was amazing and extremely friendly! The house keeping starts too early (like 7 am) and was always waking me up. And doesn't speak or understand English.

I was driving through late in the night I was tired and stopped at a gas station to reserve a room at days inn well I forgot it was almost midnight so it reserved it for the next day. Got to the hotel and tried to get my room only to be told I reserved the wrong night. This all happened in a matter of 30 mins from making my reservation not only was I told that I couldnt stay that night they also said they would not return my money $92 dollars for a room I couldn’t stay in! I even explain that I was tired and I hadn’t meant to reserve the wrong day and I was turned away and treated very disrespectfully when I asked for a refund. I had to leave and find a different hotel plus the lossof money I couldn’t afford! Never staying at this hotel ever, screw Rude service!

The room was absolute garbage. The door to the room wouldn't latch and anyone could push it open. The room smelled of old musty cigarettes and the smoke alarm was gone. The ceiling was poorly patched from water damaged and looked like it could fall in at anytime. The toilet was plugged and wouldnt flush and the tub was almost plugged and drained slowly. These are the main gripes as I could easily write way more. Pictures online do NOT do any justice. I would recommend anyone to sleep in their car or on a park bench instead.

It is a good place to rest, has good service and ample parking for sure.

Not the greatest place. Bathroom door was broken. Not very clean no towel in the pool area hot tub was broke and not clean. When we asked for extra towles they would not bring them to us asid we had to come get them.

Do not park by the side doors! our vehicle was broken into! the staff wasn't intrrested in helping us or the police in finding out who commited the crime! then, we find out another construction company's work trailer was stolen right out of the parking lot! this hotel is absolutely nothing like any other days inn we have ever stayed in! it's poorly managed and maintained! only one english speaking employee and she was really nice! the hotel rooms need alot of work! half the lights don't work! the sink drain slow, the towel rack was broken, the lamp shade was so old it fell apart trying to get the light to come on! the breakfast is a joke unless you want food poisoning! the housekeeping won't change the bedding! I watched them & when asked they either didn't understand my question or acted as if they didn't! they are not honest either, I caught the guy house keeper stealing! stay away from this hotel!

Fortunately I only needed this place for 1 night to sleep halfway thru my trip. The bath drains slowly. You can tell this place is hardly taken care of. The only good I can say is that the bed did seem clean.

Horrible… Rooms are nasty. Airconditoner didn't work in room. Kids played in the pool and was told they had no clean towels. Went to front office later to see if they had towels ready 3hrs later. And was told they wouldn't give me any until I broght down the dirty ones to them. Then only gave me 2. One of the workers was out by the pool area trying to get the water working while he drank beer, then threw the empty beer cans over the fence. Very trashy place. Don't waste your money here!

It looks nice online, but in real life it's pretty sketchy. The bathtub wouldn't drain, the wallpaper was falling off the walls and looked pieced back together, and the hallways smelled like marijuana. Won't be staying there again.

Bad customer service and terrible room condition for not cheap price. The swimming pool under maintenance, but you will never know until your visit. Also, the highway traffic behind the window is very laud.

Took forever to check in. The pool is down, whatever that means. We went with this place for the pool, so that would have been a deal breaker if I knew. Rooms are very outdated, carpet is stained, ceiling has water stains, mattress is stained. Just all around gross.

This place is run down, and in need of repair. The owner apparently won't fix anything. I tried to check into 4 different rooms. The water in the bathtub would not shut off. Smoke detector missing, wires hanging out of the ceiling. Smoke detector missing battery and cover. The regular size TV had been replaced by a smaller 24" mounted next to base from the larger TV. The TV mount was loose, and the TV was leaning way left. I tightened up the screws myself. There was no clothes rack, the clothing rod was missing, hangers on the shelf. The hairdryer plug was broken, it had exposed electrical prongs. Indoor Pool and Hot tub do not work, and apparently haven't in some time. i'm not that picky, I stay in some older Wyndham Hotel properties quite often. But, I have never seen anything this bad! The only bright spot was the older lady working behind the counter. She was very apologetic, But, she wasn't surprised. She wrote down all damages that needed repair. She said she had a long list, but the owner won't fix them. I almost didn't post this review, because I didn't want anything negative going back on her. The owner, need to fix the place up, or loose accreditation with Wyndham Hotels.

Dont see how the hell they still have the name Days inn. They ruining other Days inn by the way they treat it. Makes everyone think all dayz inns are like that. I was in 217 and roachs all over the bathroom outlet and inside ac. It wouldnt Let me post unless I rated. Should there be a b c d f. Cause this hotel deserves a fat F on the door.

Somewhat outdated hotel not easily seen from the road. The breakfast was okay: waffles, cereal, biscuits and gravy, etc. The rooms were kind of dirty. We had blue ink stains covering the bathroom…

The TV got 3 channels and the front desk told us that he always had problems with that room's tv. The pool was as warm as bathwater and the hot tub was unbearably hot. It was way hotter than 110 degrees. The rooms were clean at least.

The gentleman at check in was very helpful. The hot tub was scalding and the jets wouldn't turn on. The pool was very warm. No towels in the pool area. Breakfast was okay. Couldn't find the milk for the cereal, finally found it in the back pump coffeepot, it wasn't labeled. The room could have been cleaner. The toilet runs all the time. The faucet in the shower drips. Beds were okay.

Where do I begin… I got the room for a 8 year olds birthday party so I wasn't expecting anything fancy. Upon entering the building it seems nice and very well kept… if you come through the main entrance… none of the side entrances lock so people are free to come and go as they please. The place must have had some kind of water issue because everywhere you look you see wallpaper peeling with large amounts of what appears to be black mold growing on the paper. So the room (s) … we started in 211, upon entering the room the it was hot enough to make you pass out, I headed straight to the AC put it to the max and headed to the pool… we got right into the extreamly warm heavily chlorinated pool. The bottom of the pool was so gritty you would've thought it was surrounded by sand. The vent towards the deep end of the pool had no cover… I didn't use the spa because the pool was jucuzzi tempature. I snuck back upstairs to 211 to get the room decorated hoping it would've cooled off after a swim… NO! The room was just as hot! The TV didn't work either. I go to the desk, tell the receptionist my troubles and she comes up to help but sees the rooms not cooling down… we were move to 207… the breakfast… just don't! Watery juice, stale cereal and weak coffee… don't bother go to the place next door!

Stayed in Room 200. There was no smoke detector in the room, the AC unit had tape all over, the floor was not leveled, the sink was cracked and it as the counter was covered in cigarette burn stains. The nearby stairwell, the wall paper is peeling exposing possible mold. Killed numerous bugs in the room including a spider. Two stars is being modest.

Where do I start? First, pretty sure my room was a former crime scene. There was something reddish smeared on the wall and all over the bedspread. The floor slanted upwards… things kept sliding off of the table. There was a no smoking sign on the door, an ash tray on the desk and the smoke alarms were disabled. Pretty sure that's illegal. The breakfast was stale and there was stuff floating in the orange juice. Yeah… my bad for booking too late for the eclipse. Never again, man. Never again.

If you're looking for a place to cook your meth, look no further. If you're needing a cozy place to stow a dead body, this is your hotel. If you're wanting a "Just like living in a crack house" romantic getaway, your search is over. Make sure all your immunizations and tetnus shots are up to date and book today!

Dirty, smells. Showers not good, bed hard, and They put a hold on my Credit Card, and wont take it off! I have called multiple time, and from what I can understand is, he was going to call his card company to get it off, and didn't even ask my name. Go across the parking lot to Econo Lodge, Great price, great people, clean rooms, and a great breakfast!

I've never had such a bad experience with a hotel. They barely spoke English. The room stunk like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Then there was an ant problem. Ants on the nightstand, ants in the bed. When I packed up there were ants in my bag. Paints peeling. Cords and plugs were unsafe. The toilet kept running water all night. The pool had hot water and had too much chlorine in it. Only went to 5 ft too. Not worth the price it was. It was just too run down.

Clean rooms, older motel. Nothing to brag about.

Terrible service. The man at the desk was rude. My room phone and water in the bathroom sink were not working. I stopped at the desk and he said the people below me complained that I was walking around and it disturbed their sleep. The only place I walked to was the restroom! I would not recommend.

DO NOT GO THERE! Absolutely thr WORST hotel I have ever seen. The front desk man was extremely rude, and "forgot" to tell us about all the extra fees. The room smelt like moth balls and smoke. AFTER I had asked for a non smoking room. The sheets were dirty, and the bathroom was a mess. Dirty toilet, disgusting sink, and I'm almost certain the towels were used already. After seeing the room, and occupying it for 10 minutes, I asked for a refund. I was yelled at, and told that no matter what I was going to be charged. Horrible staff. Even worse cleanliness. Stear clear of this shi* show.

Nice staff. Comfortable. Not very clean for what I'm used to, but usually stay in hotels that are more expensive than this was…

Awesome hotel actually stayed 2 nights.

New owners have taken over recently and the staff has been working hard on upgrades. All new televisions, clean rooms and a good breakfast. The pool and hot tub are clean and the staff is warm, friendly and accommodating.

Very dirty, walls had stains and cracks on them, beds were somewhat clean had other people's hair under covers. I would sleep in long sleeve shirt and pants.

I was not impressed with the room we got. We had specifically requested nonsmoking rooms and were placed into rooms that smelled like an ash tray. In the hallway they quite literally have broken utility room doors hanging off their hinges. The state of the rooms themselves were not great either. The bathrooms were in a rather sad state of disrepair with the vent covers hanging off the side of the wall, a toilet seat that fell off when you sat on it, and a general grossness of the bathroom in general. The room itself seemed clean, from the doorway at least, until you actually got into the room itself. There are roaches. My family staying in a near by room was able to catch one and take it to the manager for a discount off their stay, but If you turn on the few lights available, you can sometimes catch one scurry off into a dark corner. I really thought that I could put all of this behind me and none of this would matter, because I was asleep. That might have been true, if I was able to get to sleep. The bed was very uncomfortable and the noise is pretty intolerable. The climate control device keeps banging and turning on and off once every minute and a half, there were people yelling until one am, and the trucks on the highway are loud enough to wake me up. Doesn't matter, I don't think I've gotten more than thirty minutes shut eye in this dirty little room. I am thoroughly unimpressed. This may be the worst room I have ever rented.

Mugy carpet, dust and dirt under beds, door in restroom takes up all the usefill space in it. Older tvs too. The reception area is neat! Would mot stay here not worth 80 plus tax. Stayed at better places for 50.

In town and near everything, but cramped parking.

We picked it because of this location and because it was $53. If you have to "throw a dart at a map", this is fairly ideal. But it was nice besides that. This place has an ideal location, on the major family-friendly thoroughfare of Wanamaker. It's within one or two minutes from Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Denny's, Perkin's, Radio Shack, a major shopping mall, and I-470 (close to I-70). It's about 15 minutes from downtown (the Capitol) and 5 minutes from the massive Gage Park. Everything was clean, the lobby floor was sparkling (cleanest floor I've ever seen in my life), and the pool/spa were very warm and nice with fresh-looking wood finishing. The pool didn't have too much chlorine, and I wonder if it uses a salt water system. The staff knew we'd been out all day, and let us swim late. The windows were fairly bright. I'm a light sleeper so I requested masking tape from the front desk, to seal out the light. The pillows were huge and tough, so we had to fold up a blanket to use as a pillow until housekeeping returned the next day to deliver flatter pillows. We requested a quiet room, and it was fairly quiet since we don't mind having the faint lull of I-470 right out our window. Late checkout was 12:30pm. The staff were so nice and accomodating. The free Wi-Fi signal was totally strong.

What a mess! one nite only, strange smells, told that was from the india owner special offerings to his gods! never again! got charged for a roll away! stayed one nite and will never stop here again. Just so you know you have been warned! torned up bathroom, shower rod on the floor, just so tired and disappointed and had my family to boot.

A good place to stay for an average income family. It was located right off I-470 and very close to a Sam’s Club and Sam’s Club Gas Station. The hotel was clean, air conditioner worked well, and the staff was very friendly. The Daybreak breakfast was a little on the skimpy side and not enough room for all the guests. Overall a good place to stay for the price. They offered a Veterans discount of $10, not a lot but enough for me to feel proud to have served and I appreciated the acknowledgement.
