Little outdated but for emporia it's fine. I actually liked the hotel a lot. Very nice lady at the front.

Very pleasant stay. Wonderful bed. Service and cleanliness was good.

Rooms were simple but looked nice, and the beds were comfy. The breakfast left a little to be desired, but it was included with the low price, so it wasn't that bad.

This is truly the worst hotel I've ever been in. First room entire floor was soaking wet and the heater was on when we showed up. Nice enough to give us a second room which had a funny odor. Grout lines in the shower we're black and nasty in the bathtub. Who puts a TV in front of a dresser mirror. Complimentary breakfast is a joke. Belgian waffle mix was like using milk and Waffles were nasty. Try to confront the management and they have an excuse for why it sucks with no recourse or correction. It is not worth the $53.14 stay.

Room is on par with other rooms at this price range. Nothing fancy but not run down either. Pretty lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly. Not a bad stay at all.

THEY HAVE BED BUG! DO NOT stay here! The rooms are cheap sure but they SMELL awful and the carpet was wet/sticky feeling. We found bed bugs in the beds and me and my two yr old son had to sleep in our truck while my husband had to stick it out in the room. The people up front didn’t believe us and wanted proof. People please we do not want to stay near your place any longer then we have to! Keep the 50 bucks. Do not stay here! bed bugs everywhere!

I have been here for almost one month and I love it here! My home away from home in Emporia, KS where I’m currently working.

Worst hotel ever. I will be contacting HUD. They charged me for my service animal. I asked for more coffee for the coffee pot and they said no they have some up front. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Pillows are hard. Housekeeping didn't even ask if we needed anything. The phone isn't even plugged in I didn't even see a phone jack anywhere. This is only day one of my week off being here. Check out is Friday the first.

Absolutely, and by a fair margin, the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. Filthy room, tub barely drains, sink drain stopper missing, but there was a plastic spoon down in there, so there’s that. Had to unplug refrigerator at night, it made such loud irregular sounds. Best of all, there was not a working TV for all but the last evening I stayed (out of 7 nights). But hey, when they installed the new TV (with Direct TV), they left the door open so anyone who wanted to could steal my laptop while I was out playing in the GBO. Not only will I never stay there again, I will actively work to be sure no one I know or meet stays there either.

Run down hotel. Tv didnt work said a truck hit the cable line be a few days till it got fixed BS I have dish at home and the sent someone out immediately when you call but refused to compensatate me anything for the inconvenience. All other hotels were booked or I would have went elsewhere dont ever stay here.

I'm agreeing with so many others. If I could give a negitave star rating I would. This place is a total trash heap. I spent one night here. I should have been aware when I saw the broken industrial washer in front of my room door. The rooms are very old and outdated. It really looks like a hotel room from 1972, dark fake wood and very cheap made. The smell is what what drove me out. It had a horrid middle easterner smell. (No offence but it's the only way I know to describe it). It was a strange but very pungent odor. Worse than b. O. And cheap perfumes mixed. It burned my mouth and nose. Trust me I am not that sensitive to smells, but this was very very bad. I told the lady at the counter why I was checking out. She was like a robot, " If you are checking out past 11am you must pay another night. " Trust me when I say… it was worth it to leave. Go across the street to the days inn. It's 100, 000 times better. Still the lobby smells of that same "middle easterner" odor in the days inn but the rooms do not.

I understand it was cheap, but it was so disgusting. The pics on Google have to be the best room with the best furniture they could muster. That room is NOT anything like what we stayed in. Our room was gross. Everything was outdated and dirty. Town had a boil order and no staff bothered to let us know. So we couldnt use the coffee machine in the room or use the sink water to wash my baby’s bottles. We had to go buy gallons of waterto brush our teeth, clean bottles and give to our dog. We couldnt use their ice machine cause it was made with contaminated water. I’m really upset they didnt bother to tell us at all or post signs. If I’d never walked in to a local Walmart and overheard it, I’d never have known and would probably have an entire sick family (including my 6 month old). Even with not being able to use have of their amenities, they didn't bother to give a discount. The room also had no door to separate toilet/shower area. The AC wouldn’t stay on long enough to cool the room, so we burned up all night. There was a tiny little area, maybe 10 by 10, to allow dogs to do their business. The rest of the property was concrete. Just an overall dump with no positives about it!

It is what you would expect for low rent hotels however we were in Emporia while a city wide boil order was in effect. The boil order was put in place around 1p. M. And we arrived around 5p. M. When we arrived management had no signs up nor did they tell us to not drink the water! It wasn't until around 830p. M. That we found out about the boil order through the signage posted at the Walmart. We called the management and they said "oh yeah there is a boil order in effect" no apology, no bottle water was given out, no signs posted warning people not to drink the water the entire weekend! We were there for 3 days. It is very irresponsible of the staff to not post what the rest of the town did. Shame on them! I will never stay there again.

Ok so here is the deal. It's a $40. Dollar room. The place is a old and somewhat run down. But the bed was clean, the floors were clean. The walls need paint, but it's a cheap room so can deal. The prices were a bit funky, online one price, on sign another price, and when booking over phone a 3rd price. Online said $50, the sign says 39.99, the guy on the phone said 35. Overall I would stay again if I just needed a place to crash.

I would encourage you to keep driving by this hotel! Dirty rooms, unkept, linens hadn’t been changed on our bed, rude staff! Would not refund our money after we saw our room, complained and wanted to leave! Left and checked in at another hotel and just took the loss! Worst hotel I have ever been to! If I could give them a negative rating, I would!

Price for room wasn't comparable to other rooms reviewd online. Rating was overstated online. I would pass and go. Somewhere else. Old, pricey based on other local hotels.

No door on the bathroom. Water never gets cold. A/C blocked by the curtain. Cost for the room is way too much! This is a $20.00 room. Had someone watch me take my luggage in my room that worked here.

They lost my reservation. Called 2 months in advance. Then they had the gaul to blame it on me. The rate was quoted at one price for the lost reservation, then they said they had a room available but the price was 75% higher than the quoted amount. We called around an got a better room for less money at the Rodeway Inn which shares the same parking lot. If the lobbies are an example of room quality, I made a great decision.

The bathroom had ants, the tub would fill up with water while showering, on the plus side the AC worked. I was one of the first to get breakfast, only to find 3 bagels, 4 pieces of bread and 1/4 pitcher of OJ, im not sure if they were just being conservative or just short on everything. If your looking to sleep and go it's okay, but dont expect much more… save your breakfast dreams for McDonalds.

When you look at the pictures of the hotel you see a nice pool and hot tub! However upon arrival (after paying) we were informed they dont have a pool or hot tub! Then stop false advertising. Had VERY MAD children.

Nice room for the price. Clean, helpful staff. Wi-Fi connection isn't the best with heavy use.

Very friendly and accommodating. Old TV Box LOL. Not enough channels for CNN only headlines news. Not up to Technology. Fast Internet. Breakfast missing fruits and veggies. No bananas basic breakfast fruit common people. Rooms clean. Will stay again, but bring your own fruits ha ha ha. The price is right so you won't get all the things the more expensive Motels Offer. The Chipmunks.

Internet has been down all week and the front desk doesn't seem to care. Update 11/5/13 internet still sucks, if I manage to connect its for a very short time.

Knights Inn, Americas Best, another Patel Hotel. Lacks TV channels, rooms clean, int intrtnet poor to non existent.

This hotel is playing name games, it is the Roadway Inn, the Knights Inn and now the American Inn since they seem to lose their franchise rights from the aforementioned chains. The bathrooms are insect infested, the sinks don't drain, the air conditioners are really space heaters and the employees are rude and speak shamelessly about the habits of the guests. It is a bad cliche of pedestrian rural Kansas instead of anything resembling lodging and would likely be shuddered for code violations if it was ever officially inspected. There are plenty of comparably priced cheap joints in Emporia and this one survives because it is the first hotel on the boulevard, do yourself a favor and drive a little further to any other lodge and you'll be immensely happier.

The hotel was clean but should signs of being older. We didn't use any other amenities as we checked in close to 11pm. The bed was harder than I like but the bedding was decent. The free breakfast was nothing special; waffles, cereal and toast. All in all not horrible for $57 for 2 people.
