Spent the weekend with my family. The owners were very personal and friendly and made sure our needs were met. Hotel and rooms were very clean. Our children loved the back yard area especially the bouncy pool with slide! Much to do around the surrounding area. We'll definitely be back! Thank you two for your warm hospitality!

A Refreshing Stay! This may be our new favorite inn in the Jackson area. Diane and I go to Jackson and North Conway quite often, but this was our first stay at the Covered Bridge Lodge. Not only were we very comfortable in our room and in the common areas of the inn, but we got to meet and converse with the owners, innkeeper and staff as well. They are all very nice and very warm people. Nothing fancy, but relaxing! Very accommodating, very friendly, very comfortable, very good breakfasts. I can't say enough!

Room was ok. No microwave in room. But the was one in the office, the office opens at 730am and closed at about 730/8pm. There were hairs in the tub and toilet. We had a Porch but they were lots of hornets in the holes in the roof. Breakfast consisted of Very small double crock pot one morning scrambled eggs and sausages also bagels Walmart Great Value Crumb Danishes… There is a Keurig with kcups, sugar and powder creamer. There is no Jacuzzi there used to be but Is no longer in use. Location was decent. Staff was nice. Only consisted of an older man, & daughter. Overall, not terrible. Stayed in a lot worse! And a lot better.

I never have had an allergic reaction in my life till tonight. I'm a carpenter, litteraly I demolish moldy bath rooms. This room smelled old and musty. Went into one of their rooms for 15 mins, broke out in hives and turned beat red and my face swelled up. My wife was itchy as well. We Had to leave to get benadryl. We then called the booking agent because I didn't want to speak with the rude old man who would later acoust me. She said she would help us with a refund. She said it was okay to leave. Went back to clean and get the rest of our things. The old man walked into the room and tried to pick a fight with me. I had to call the cops and file a report because he was threatening me that I trashed the room. We were literaly in the room for 20 min tops. We then spent the next 2 hours driving around untill we could find a place to sleep being 7 hours from home. Any good review of this place must be from the old man who doesn't understand you need to spend money to maintain a hotel. He reminded me of a Nazi from the beginning and would make sense that he was trying to gas us to death. No stars call the health department.

My boyfriend and I saw the reviews so we went into this expecting it to be terrible and a joke. We got there and the older gentleman running it was a funny, outgoing guy. Our room was decently clean (just a couple of hairs on the sheets — — presumably from the women who made up the room) and the bed was more comfortable than we though. The view off the balcony was pretty and I bet it's even better in the summer when you can walk down to the river. The bathroom was clean as well but I did not use the shower. My one real complaint is that there was only one accessible outlet in the room to charge my phone, and my boyfriend had to plug his into the bathroom outlet. We only stayed for one night so this place was not bad, but I probably wouldn't stay here for longer than a couple of nights.

➖ Typical roadside motel that is okay but could be great with a little effort. Has the stereotypical junk pile off to the side in the woods. Housekeeping over our 3 nights was minimal but they did find time to turn any lights we left on including the outside light for returning late. The stocked kitchenette provided muffin pans but no saucepan so you can definitely make cupcakes but not pasta. The “full” breakfast was okay but they kept throwing the leftover instant eggs on the ground directly behind our car. The remainder of the breakfast was gas station danishes. The room was pretty good, don’t get me wrong but while doing your evening stretches you’ll get the joy of watching a mouse potentially walking from the cabinets to the stove! The place is fine for the cost and the people are nice. The kicker for me was forgetting my St. Croix fishing rod while packing the car. I emailed them asking if they would ship it to me (I’d pay) and they simply ignored me. ➕ Great location, nice staff, good price.

Very warm welcome. Cozy and comfortable accommodations. I am definitely coming back.

Stayed with our family and our room was very clean. Park out back and a trampoline for the kids and a pool. My son has sensory issues so we were very happy to see the trampoline. We stay in a different place every year and have seen awful horrible places so I do not really get all the bad reviews! The family was very nice to us! If you don't like bugs you should probably get out of NH's white forest.

My husband and I just stayed there for 4 nights with no real issues. Yes the decor is outdated and the bed not very comfy but for what we needed it worked. It was basically a place to change, rest up from our outing and sleep as well as shower it worked just fine and the price point was perfect. One disappointing thing was that the Jacuzzi was out of service. Pool was clean and we only utilized that one time during our stay. The pool area was very nice, there was also a nice sitting area outside around the fire pit by the river. It was also very quiet.

Not really sure why so many negative comments about the place. We stayed the first week of August and it was great. You're getting your money's worth. It's not a big chain hotel, it's a family run motel with great service. It's in a awesome location. There's a river running behind the place, and they've done a good job with the back yard having a fire pit and slides for kids. Our room was very clean and the owners did a very good job making sure we had everything we needed. I had a death in the family so we left a night early, so I turned my key in and they offered a credit for a future stay. Will definitely being staying again soon.

Wonderful Inn! Great for Kids. My family has been coming here for years. Everything is clean and well kept. The innkeepers are friendly. We have stayed in several room, and each room is quiet and comfortable. Breakfast is complimentary. Beautiful views of the outdoor gardens and river. I would highly recommend staying here for your next get away to the White Mountains.

The worst place I've ever stayed at by far. The wall paper is peeling off the walls the shower I think had about as much pressure as a squirt gun the toilet was sinking into the floor the bathroom door didn't latch shut the beds felt like spikes in your back I think it would have been more comfortable sleeping on the trailer with the atv. The swimming pool or what should have been a pool was out of service and it had not a drop of water in it. All I can say is stay clear of this place if you want a good night sleep.

This is by far the absolute worst hotel I've ever stayed in the the floor around the toilet is sunk in and stained the flooring around the tub/shower is lifting the decor is awful at best the beds are like lying on cardboard on top of springs and that might be to comfortable. The swimming pool oh the swimming pool that's a story on its own. And the security on the room meaning locks and safety my sister had a doll house as kids that had better Locke than this place I am giving this one star because the people running the hotel are very nice this place needs remodeling very badly.

This was the absolute worst hotel I have every stayed in! We walked in and immediately walked out. The whole place smelled of mold and mildew and was just down right disgusting. When I requested my money back the receptionist stated they saved the room for me and now could not rent it to someone else when I never saw another soul in the place during the check in process. Save your money and stay down the street at Eagle Mountain House and Golf club!

This place is insane. They get 1 star because I have to give a star in order to write this WARNING! Arrived this weekend with my husband and 2 children. The pool was out of service and the room porch was unsafe and not in use. I tried to get my money back so I could take my family elsewhere and they refused. So we were forced to stay however at that point the owner looked at me and said well if you want to stay here then give me an extra $40. I obviously was not willing to give them another $40 for a place I did not want to stay. The daughter (prescilla) then said to me get over it lady either pay the $40 or leave. She chased me and my family out to the car and continued to scream at us while we were driving away! I paid with expedia and they were on the phone when this insane lady was yelling at us so they refunded our money, we went to the red jacket and had a wonderful weekend. My kids will never forget this awful experience. PLEASE READ OTHER REVIEWS! we are not the first family to deal with these people.

This motel had excellent value, generated a lot of funny stories to tell people, however it was so bad it was funny. I say it had excellent value because it was 1/2 the price of everything else AND 2 miles from Story Land AND I checked in to this motel just as the reviewer below (K. Q. ) was at the peak of her argument with the owners. As soon as we drove in my wife said, "What is the Sheriff doing here? " and I then explained that I chose the cheapest place online and the reviews were horrible (she was pissed). I am extremely cheap and I was intrigued by the awful reviews and felt I needed to see this for myself. I felt like we were in an episode of "COPS" but as it turned out it was the father and daughter owners yelling at each other. As I checked in the daughter gave me her side of it. THE GOOD: Excellent value, excellent location, a fire-pit with adirondack chairs outside our room next to the river. This was great because we were travelling with a 4-year old so we could let him watch Netflix inside while we sat next to the fire outside and after he went to bed we could sit outside, talk, and stoke the campfire instead of just going to sleep. If you walk down the road at night from the lodge away from the lights the star view is AMAZING. Very little light pollution. We were 2 miles from Story Land and in the opposite direction of the bumper-to-bumper traffic (awesome). THE BAD: It smelled like a basement inside.

No matter what you think about the price and location of this motel, please read these reviews and the reviews on other sites (priceline, yahoo, facebook, tripadvisor, etc) and DO NOT stay here. The motel looks nothing like it does on the website, it hasn't been updated in years (and the smell can't be conveyed over the internet). The worst part about it, however, is the proprietors' daughter, Priscilla. When I dared question my rate (because my reservation was "lost" so I did not get the room I had originally booked), she became an out-of-control, hostile bully. I asked a question, and she escalated further, throwing a "Removal of Guests" policy in my face (referring to numerous precedent cases their lawyer cites on their behalf) and threatened to call the police. It was truly shocking how irrational and appallingly disrespectful she was. As it turns out, if the owners want to make you leave for ANY reason, you have no choice (and if they want to put their hands on you to MAKE you leave — which did not happen to me, but has happened to others, and there are court documents online describing this — they, under law, may) and neither do the police if they are called (which they are, OFTEN). While the owners (her parents) were pleasant toward me (even apologizing to me for her behavior), they passively accept her abusive treatment of guests. They did nothing but watch while she screamed at me for no reason.

My husband booked us in this hotel a few days ago, but our travel plans changed and we tried to cancel, and they refused! They said that the September 03 deadline for cancellation had elapsed, but how can that be when we booked on Sept 24 for an October trip to NH? We were simply given a credit, but after reading all the awful reviews, I can only conclude that the owners are very corrupt! They couldn't even honor the cancellation policy that is found at the bottom of their email! If you value your hard-earned money, please, please, please. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! Otherwise, it will be a vacation in hell.

This motel is very old and falling apart. They boast a keurig machine in every room but you have to fight with them to get the pods for your machine. They did not clean our room after the first night. The towels look like they were bought in the 1970's and were used since. The carpets were filthy. The deck outside our room was falling apart and bordered on being dangerous. The one nice thing was the river running behind the lodge. We would not recommend this place to anyone.

Anyone who writes a good review on this place, is probably the owner. I have never been called a trashy bitch from a business owner for asking a simple question. The Daughter of this place needs to find a job she can enjoy. She is as rude as they get. LISA M who paid you to write your review.

We love this place. Have been visiting for several years now, as part of an annual Storyland trip. While not particularly plush or luxurious, it's very affordable, clean, and comfortable. Absolutely ideal location for Storyland outings, and we like that we can walk across the street for dinner at the Red Fox. It's near to several spectacular waterfalls, too, and the backyard is a great place to relax. We particularly enjoy breakfasts on the picnic tables next to the river (with hotel's complimentary coffee and provisions from local supermarket, kept in room mini-fridges), and the nightly bonfires. I consider this place to be a hidden gem.
