Worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. We called a couple hours before arriving to ask about prices, and was told $75 a night plus tax. Upon arrival it was suddenly $89 plus tax. Staff was the rudest I’ve ever encountered. All amenities were broken, no way to regulate hot water in the shower. Sheets look like they’ve never been washed. I woke up to cockroaches crawling on the wall. I’d recommend going anywhere else than here.

WORST experience with a hotel ever. They claimed that they couldn't find a record of my reservation even though I had my Priceline itinerary printed out with me and Priceline verified to me over the phone that reservation information had been sent to them when I had originally booked the hotel via Priceline. The hotel owners told me that they just happened to have a room available if I allowed them to charge my credit card $120 dollars a night (I originally booked the hotel at a rate of $50 a night). They refused to give me a room even though I had proof that the room was already paid for via Priceline. Priceline customer service even called the hotel while I was on the phone with Priceline and I was told that the hotel was refusing to honor my reservation and wanted to charge more money for rooms that were already paid for. After an hour on the phone with Priceline, who were also on the phone with the hotel owners, who were not acknowledging my reservation without charging extra money, Priceline relocated me to a different hotel.

The rooms were remodeled and looked nice and clean. The service was professional as well as the rates competitive. The hotel has a very nice view of the train station and railroad leading into downtown Ellijay. With all the shops and eateries practically within walking distance of the hotel. Wifi, cable, clean, inviting, and private.

Rooms were great. TV was one of the best we've seen in any hotel. Manager a little rude.

The room was beautiful and clean. The young man at the front desk was very friendly to us and invited us back. The location is peaceful, quiet, and beautiful. Located perfectly from the town. Service was lovely there. Ellijay is a beautiful place. Thank you so much HEAVENLY FATHER in JESUS CHRIST NAME! Thank you all at Budget Inn for a blessed Stay for me and my husband.

Microwave wouldnt work and when you tried to use it the TV turned off, there was no toilet paper, we had to buy our own. Instead of letting me explain a misunderstanding about the check out date, a woman came and yelled at me and gave us only a few minutes to gather our things, or demanded we pay 20 more for an extra hour (we thought we had booked two days). Their prices are much higher than any of their website listings, and when we called before we checked in we were told on the phone, by them, that they were 65 dollars a night plus tax, but we were charges 75 plus tax making it 85$ a night instead. All of this when the whole town was out of power, we had no where else to go, and had limited funds. Note:I said I had a misunderstanding, and I was in the wrong about the date, but you did not give me the chance to explain before I was yelled at.

Good clean basic accommodations. Align your expectations with the price point. This is not a resort, don't expect the "heavenly bed", room service and spa. But it's clean, had a mini fridge and microwave. I would've given at least one more star but for one huge flaw in today's world where everyone has their phone surgically attached and travels with lots of electronics that need charging. The only accessible outlets were next to the bathroom sink.

It was a cozy place to stay. The person that checked us in was extremely friendly. The room was very clean. It had a small microwave and fridge. It was just a pleasant experience.

Traveling with a friend and we decided to stop by. The owner/staff were extremely rude/misleading. After leaving the manager continued to badger my friend thru Facebook messenger. Find a better hotel!

My husband and our 3 children (1 of which is an infant) booked a room through Hotwire for 2 adults and 2 children. We paid through Hotwire and received a confirmation email stating we paid for 4 people. When we arrived we were asked to fill out some card and pay an extra $20 for my 2 kids. I asked what the extra money was for because we paid for 4 people through Hotwire. I was then told Hotwire only charges for 2 people no matter how many people you add to your reservation. So I asked how that could be when CLEARLY stated on my confirmation email from Hotwire AND the confirmation of payment paper this hotel received I paid for 2 adults and 2 children. I suppose my challenging his “Hotwire fee” and not just paying up upset him because he started to get frustrated with me and was very reluctant to allow me to see the reservation sent over from Hotwire/Expedia he also removed a receipt from the confirmation paper he WOULD NOT let me see at all. I asked him where the policy was on Hotwire and he then pulled out some fake paper stating that was the fine print policy. I said I was calling Hotwire and he said “FINE here’s your card” and flung the paper I filled out across the counter as I was walking out the door. When I got outside and got intouch with a customer service rep at Hotwire they were just as baffled by this “Hotwire fee” as I was.

This place was horrible. Booked a room! hotwire using the hot rate price and included my 2 children in the reservation. Upon arrival, I was told my 2 children would be an extra 20 dollars… never has this occurred with hotwire. After contacting hotwire, the rep said that he never heard of such a thing either. The rep decided that he would call the hotel. After having an argument with the guy running the place, he called us back and decided that hotwire would go against it's own policies and refund us the money. This place is only about trying to cheat people out of their money… dont even think about getting a room here.

Worst place ever, very rude and disrespectful and wouldn't own up to price.

The rooms were verry clean and comfortable.

This hotel is not worth rating the floors are wet the bathroom stink.

So far it's a good experience staying here the room was clean smelled fresh it's a nice cozy room away from home the management S nice, and cozy I give them and A ok.

Not a bad spot. Would have gave it 4 star, but no coffee maker in room. Got every thing else thow! Room is clean. Follow up from yesterday's review — went to work this morning. Wife stayed. In room. The manager seen my review my wife told me. The got us a coffee maker this morning. So ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the staff and motel. They have coffee in the office, but I leave for work to early for that. Thanks for the extra effort.

Very nice place. Shopping and several dining places within walking distance with downtown less than half a mile. Was here for the Apple Festival, had a great time and will be back next year.

This place is wonderful. Very Quiet, relaxing, and everything you need at a very reasonable price. Front desk person very helpful with all my questions. Will be back.

For starters… the woman at the reception desk is rude. We just got here. The room is for ONE person. Online the price Says $55 for a Sunday. She charged us $84. For one person. The room smells. AC doesn't blow cold. Bed smells like feet. Carpet is clean sure… holes in the wall. Bathtub is burnt with cigarettes. Bathroom is way to tiny. Stains on the lamps. Flat nasty pillows. Fridge smells like rotten sour food. Mold on the bottom of the front door and in the corner and also on the ceiling. Ugly wall paper that is peeling. Over all not worth the over charge.

Alot better than I remember! And rooms where clean! Would stay again!

This motel is very nice. The staff were very pleasant, the room, was clean and had a beautiful, view of the mountains. It was very quiet and I will be back. Thank you Budget Inn for a wonderful stay,

Rates are all over the place. One week it's $65. The next it's $80. This week $77. Not that nice. I won't be staying here anymore.

Dump, it was getting dark, $72. They wanted $78, told them Ellijay Inn was $72. Wish I'd said 45. No coffee, had to call and they would make some, Ok. Two star cause the bed felt good after riding a Harley for 12 hours. The Daughter was very nice and pleasant spoke well.

We loved this place! It was very quiet and the staff was very nice. The rooms have been remodeled and are spacious and comfortable. We would recommend The Budget Inn to anybody that wants a nice, clean place to relax. We will definitely come back again.

Decently clean room, cheap rates.

This is the worst place I have ever stepped foot in! It is nasty and smells like a smoke stack! The doors don't shut well because they are old and cheap. The walls are yellow from smoke. Light shades are half broken and yellow from smoke. Bedding has cigarette burns everywhere. This place should be shut down by the city.

Place to put your head down and move on.

Bed was comfortable… cord fell off of light fixture, lights flickered on and off, no hair dryer, no coffee either in the room or front office, old and needs renovation. Room unsafe. We left to new hotel… Best Western … rates are much better.

Ok place, needs an update. Locals will tell you stay clear.

I think its a nice place just to get away and be alone its peaceful and quite if you do have a promblem just call the office and its handled would go back again.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL, if you can call it a hotel. Even though I had a confirmation number (UMA) they charged us an additional $20.00. No soap, no shampoo, rooms are disgusting! I called the office at 7:00 AM and was informed it was too early for them to come to the desk. Woke up with bites on my back, legs and arms. After my first call to the office, they would not answer the phone again. Naked little girl at the desk when we checked in. UNBELIVEABLE and I will dispute the charge with AMEX. Stay away!
