Me and my Wife stayed in the Country Deluxe Cabin, for our 20th Anniversary. Our stay was amazing, the staff there treated us like family, the food and customer service was excellent. Jackie was not wrong when I called her to booked our little getaway. When we walked into the cabin it was breathtaking, especially in the bedroom with the hot tub, everything was very clean, hot tub was amazing. I highly recommend staying here, we where supposed to stay only two nights, when we got up Sunday morning, my wife look at me and said let’s stay another night, so we did. Wish we could have stayed the whole week, looking forward to another stay very soon! Thank you to all the staff that work there u did an amazing job!

We had a lovely weekend there. Very peaceful and friendly. The meals were amazing. Every dish was cooked fresh for every meal and all was delicious. The homemade biscuits were 'to die for'. Looking forward to our next stay there.

It was super warm and cozy. The cabin was very romantic. Staff was very friendly!

We came for our anniversary and loved every minute of our trip. Our cabin was amazing. The restaurant was delicious, breakfast included. The staff was great. We loved the carriage ride. We will definitely visit again.

We attended my nephew’s wedding last Saturday at the Secret Garden. The food was delicious. But my kudos goes to the front desk staff. Unfortunately our car quit running but we were able to limp it into the stable area. We had to leave it until today (Monday). The staff was so gracious and kind. They even gave us a list of towing companies. They let us know the car was Ok this morning. Thank you so much Forest Hills for your kindness. And really good fried chicken. Lynda and Mike Barnes.

Is an Amazing place…. Perfect weather for being on the porch, having the fireplace on and relaxing in the hot tub! Will definitely return next yr. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Our wedding at Forrest hills was the most beautiful experience. The staff was so friendly from Levi the wedding coordinator, to the waitstaff at the reception, and even the front desk. Everyone was so kind and accommodating. I would and have recommended Forrest Hills to any couple who are seeking a beautiful mountain wedding. The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful, and the cabins were so cozy. The hot tub in the cabins was a big hit with my bridal party. I will definitely be returning soon.

This place was MADE FOR US! It was exactly what we envisioned our big day to be! The people were amazing and so incredibly accommodating.
However, there were more than a couple miscommunications that we felt like could have been avoided. 1. The check in process was a little bit of a nightmare considering we arrived assuming our bill was paid in full including our room bill. This was not the case. Someone else’s deposit was put on our room instead of paying towards their room. It ultimately got sorted out, but not a great way to start the trip. 2. We requested a vegan meal for our rehearsal dinner on the chuck wagon ride, as we have a family member that’s vegan for medical reasons, and it wasn’t translated to the cooks on site. The people taking care of us spring into action to make it right for us, however she did end up having to eat by herself as everyone else was done. This also happened at the reception as well, which was unfortunate. 3. Our timeline was for reception was not correct so the poor waitress had to busy it to get our food out sooner than the kitchen expected.
Back to the positives. Despite the miscommunications, the staff went above and beyond to make it right for us. Christie, our waitress for the reception, was outstanding! She needs a raise! No seriously.

I absolutely loved Jackie and the other ladies at the front desk! They were all super helpful, accommodating and so sweet! We stayed in the tree top lodge and it could not have been more perfect! It was decorated perfectly and had new appliances and finishing throughout! The grounds of the resort were also jaw droppingly beautiful! We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant on-site all employees were attentive to detail, the food was extremely well priced and so tasty! We will definitely be back again ❤️❤️

This venue is gorgeous. I've had the extreme pleasure of photographing 2 weddings and an elopement here. Just amazing and everyone is so kind and great to work with. Thank you!

The facility is phenomenal and suited our needs perfectly. The staff did a great job with assisting us. LOVED the Chuck Wagon dinner and highly recommended it!

Simply God's county! Staff, food and the cabin was AMAZING! We celebrated our honeymoon it was so quiet and relaxing. The hot tub was so nice to just unwind and and spend time with each other. My wife and I had a great time at Forrest Hills! The front desk staff tried to accommodate every requested activity we had despite the busy Mother’s Day weekend. Our cabin felt like home and the hot tub was awesome! We had dinner at the on site restaurant with Robbie as our server and she was attentive and extremely kind. The food was great. I can’t recommend the equestrian activities enough. Tommy took us on a 2hr ride through the woods. He was very patient with us as first time riders. The great conversation and stories we had throughout were almost as great as the breathtaking scenery. Gary was our carriage driver on our last day and we couldn’t have enjoyed that experience any more than we did. He kept us laughing the whole time while filling us in on the rich history of the resort and surrounding area. The staff here made us feel like family and you certainly can’t get that just anywhere. We will be back for sure! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway I recommend you look for it here!

This place is so amazing. We had our wedding here this weekend and couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. We're from out of town so we booked a whole lodge and our family and friends can't stop talking about what a great weekend it was. Thanks to Levi for planning our perfect big day.

Forrest Hills is Amazing! This is our second time here and it’s location, atmosphere, staff, food, cabins, and surroundings are perfect for a romantic get away! I can tell it’s great for weddings too. The horse back riding is an adventure!

Stayed here in May and everything was perfect. Beautiful cabin, wonderful breakfast, friendly staff — couldn't have asked for a better resort!

Very nice, clean, and relaxing place, me and my wife had our wedding here on July 25 nice scenery really enjoyed it. Jacqueline was very nice and helpful and so was Timothy.

Nice and clean, quiet. Up on a little mountain side, got pool and a big hot tub jacuzzi. Restaurant on site. Horseback riding and much more. Very friendly staff that are very helpful.

Dear David, Your vision came to life throughout the 140 acres and over 40 years of dedication. John and I truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying there in the near future. John had fun catching up and I enjoyed getting to know you. It warms our hearts you take care of the cats. Our two bedroom townhouse suite had everything we needed. We loved to two balconies and privacy. The rooms were clean. Your staff members were friendly and quick to provide you with what you need. They are seemed happy working there. My wife and I have been here three times for our anniversary. This place is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. We got some much needed rest and relaxation.

My husband and I stayed one night in the Bear Den Lodge and it was a wonderful experience. The office staff was efficient and friendly, the gift shop was adorable with goodies to buy. The room was clean and inviting. The green carpet was the only thing off-putting but I think they are renovating. The view everywhere were beautiful and it was such a serene place. The resort isn't far at all from quaint little Dahlonega. Cant wait to head back in the fall!

My wife and me did a small wedding of 24 people, including ourselves. It was simple, easy and stress free. The staff there was very accommodating. The Wedding Coordinator Wendy was wonderful and extremely helpful with all the planning seeing as everybody, including ourselves, was coming from out of town. Ginger was a wedding day assistant and she was super sweet and helpful, making sure everything was where it needed to be when it needed to be there. The food was excellent and the cake was delicious. We had our own photographer and officiant so I cannot speak for those services. They had a pool there and our guests could spend their free time there or at the volleyball pit or riding horses or at the spa. The scenery was beautiful. We rented the entire Bear's Den Lodge and it took care of all our guests with room to spare. Everybody was comfortable and my bride and I were able to enjoy the occasion. We did the secret garden wedding package and highly recommend anyone who wants to do a small, intimate wedding! Everything was close and easily accessible.

Staff is friendly and attentive. Jake was one of the best servers we've encountered in a long time and we eat out a lot. Breakfast and the picnic lunch were great but dinner left much to be desired. Neither my wife or I finished… dessert was great however. We opted for the cabins and I think it's the only way to go. The privacy, pet friendly nature and large hot tub with jets not to mention the nice towels and arranged place settings on the dining room table were all exquisite and had me thinking I could leave my home and downsize to this quaint cabin in the woods.

A wedding brought me to Forrest Hills. The location was nestled in the beautiful Dahlonega mountains. It was a wonderful place. The wedding was lovely and the reception was great. The bride was taken to the guests in a horse drawn carriage. What an entrance! The food was excellent and the venue truly beautiful.

Attended an outside wedding. Multiple places to sit when arriving besides set chairs (e. G. Benches). Food was well made with variety of cold to warm foods. Appears staff are very well prepared when hosting an outdoor event.

Stayed overnight in the Tree Topper Lodge for a writing retreat. Accommodations are great. Only negative is the lack of bathrooms in the lodge not behind locked doors.

Great place to stay and enjoy time away from home, loved our little cabin with the jacuzzi, great staff! We had the couple’s massage, which I highly recommend, we will definitely return!

This a terrific place for a weekend getaway, company retreat, team-building exercise, banquet, wedding, or whatever you can imagine. The facility is attractive and frequently upgraded, the forested location is outstanding, and the experience doesn't disappoint. There are meeting rooms, dining rooms, banquet halls, cabins, and even a dedicated chapel that is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies. You can even visit for Sunday lunch if you're so inclined. Check it out.

Loved our cabin! It was great for a couple on vacation. I particularly loved the indoor hot tub with picture windows. Breakfast buffet was included, and very tasty. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Me and my family stayed in one of there log cabins… The cabin had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We enjoyed out stay and would recommend to my friends and family.

Great place to " get away ". Trail, horse back riding. People here we're friendly, quiet. Make sure u have a full tank of gas, things are not just around the corner, including groceries or snacks. Went to the falls, also Gibbs garden is close by.

A great weekend anniversary getaway. Great service, everyone was very helpful throughout our stay. A wonderful way to unplug from our busy schedule and take the time for the two of us. The cabin was great. Cozy and romantic. Would definitely recommend and we will go back.

The cabin itself was great, food was great… but the in cabin couples massage that I paid extra for an hour and a half instead of an hour was not worth the over $300 I had to pay for it… the massage therapist that was attending my significant other fell asleep not once but twice when they were sitting down in a chair leaning on the table to give the massage. I am beyond upset but didn’t want to hurt their feelings due to being mor of a mature age. In my opinion having a massage therapist that sits down the whole massage is in poor taste and I have never had that happen anywhere else I have been. Not to mention their cd that was playing skipped most of the time and than turned off so we were only left to hear the squeaking of their shoes on the floor… not very relaxing and it was NOT worth over $300 that I paid. I went thinking it would be great to spoil my guy and do a couples massage privately in our cabin, but I feel as if I have been ripped off very badly by it. I will never do it again and I can’t recommend it to anyone. I don’t think I could return to do this trip again which is sad but I can’t justify spending the money I did for something that turned out so badly.

The city is very nice to visit. The cabin we stayed in was spooky. The couch was disgusting. It looked like it had a lot of spills and stuff that nobody had tried to clean up very well. The bed had spiders when we moved the board. It definitely seemed like housekeeping was not a priority here. Outside it looked old and faded. The photos in the publicity looked much better than the real property.
The breakfast that was provided was not very good. It tasted like prison food. We ordered a pizza from them, and it was not edible. They put slices of cheese in the pizza, apparently they had no grated cheese. It was disgusting. We throw it away.
There is a kitchenette and a fridge included, so the best option is to eat in the city and buy appetizer items easy to cook, water, milk, etc. So you don't have to order from your restaurant. There is no daily cleaning or garbage collection.

Was up looking for wedding venues in the area. It's a large property, but dated. The package options are frugal, but you do get what you pay for and the grounds could use some updating (remove old wood, paint, etc) Great for maybe a smaller occasion, but if this is for your dream day then you can do better.

Stayed in a couples cabin. Very nice! Nice room. Nice hot tub. Very comfortable bed. Food isn't so good. We brought most of our own food. Has a kitchenette. No stove. Worth the cost.

Had an absolute great time… We got a really nice snack basket when we checked In with some gourmet coffees. We didn’t have the type of coffee pot to use it. One of the resident house keepers brought us her brand new personal pot to use. We didn’t get a chance to use it but she sure was nice to bring it to us! We WILL be back!

It's an older style resort with many wonderful amenities. Location, A+, room A+, Staff A+, Dinning Room B, Buffet Food C-, Rates B-. Go for the cabin amenities, look for options on dining. Buffett food is only good at the beginning, room temperature for others.

The cabin was a slice of backwoods Americana The outside has a very rustic look to it while the inside it newly remodeled with all the modern conveniences. The only downside is parking is kind of tight The staff were extremely nice and helpful and the dining options on property were delicious. There are many more amenities offered on site than what we took advantage of.

Can tell they are making some renovations, however there are many more needed. We stayed at The Wren’s Nest, cabin 22. Leaves on patio were knee deep. The sofa was indescribably uncomfortable. Definitely needs a new coffee maker. There was a timer on hot water in shower — definitely had to jump in and out quickly.

If u are ever in North Georgia looking for somewhere to eat for Thanksgiving dinner I highly recommend @Forest hills resort Wow! It was awesome! Two thumbs up.

Very nice, relaxing campus. Great quiet getaway. Food was solid, but not great. Also, the decor is quite dated, even for a rustic look.

Basic details first: my wife and I rented one of the Countryside Romance cabins with the Gold+Wine+Waterfalls package for a few days to celebrate our anniversary. Quick summary: The accommodations were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay, but the package disappointed. If we stayed again, we would not pay the extra for it. The Good: * Bed was incredibly comfortable * Cabin was clean and neat * LB1 cabin was sufficiently isolated as to feel private. * Hot tub was clean and worked great * Basically, everything to do with the actual cabin was fine. The Ambivalent: * Meals at the resort are on a fairly tight schedule — a two-hour band most of the time. We're both night shift and didn't realize this going in, so our free breakfasts didn't end up being of any use to us. Plus there aren't any meals available after 9-ish. Can't blame them for this, just wish I'd thought to check ahead of time. * I wish we'd had a full kitchenette because of the schedule conflict. That appears to be luck of the draw on which cabin you end up in, and ours only had the microwave, fridge, and sink. That's as-advertised, though. The Bad: * I alerted the resort ahead of time that I had a food allergy, and I was told the dining area would be notified and they would work with us. Instead, the major part of our picnic lunch (part of the package) was food I couldn't eat. My wife tells me the food was fine, which is good I suppose.

I took my daughter here for horseback riding on her birthday. From booking to leaving we had a wonderful experience. Everyone was incredibly helpful, the animals were well kept, and the guide on our trail was full of interesting facts and helpful tips. I would absolutely recommend this place, and I can't wait to schedule further excursions.

The lodge with 2 stories was nice. We liked having 2 floors with a TV on each floor. The garden tub was great. There was also a sofa and tables. The upstairs had 2 ceiling fans.

We love coming to Forrest Hill Resort! The folks here are so nice and the chefs are amazing! The Rose Garden Dining room is absolutely gorgeous, especially when it's decked out in roses. It's romantic, warm, and spacious! We can't wait to come back and work with them again!

The Mrs. And I loved it. Cabin is clean and roomy. Plenty of provided towels for the hit tub and shower. Food is served buffet style but is all very tasty. The massage therapists were a delite and did a great job. Overall I think we would definitely consider this location for another weekend getaway.

My wife and I attended the Santa brunch here this past Christmas season, and it was a great experience. The food was wonderful and the staff was a pleasure. My son had a blast when the owner of the resort let my son "take the reigns" on the carriage ride with Santa. Would definitely recommend staying here in the beauty of the Dahlonega mountains at this great family owned and operated resort. We will surely be back!

The resort is far from everything and needs some up-keeping. I had quite a few flying insects in my room. A kitchenette apparently only includes a microwave and a mini fridge. Do your homework before you book here.

The place was good for the price but I am not sure that I will be staying again. It was nice being so far away from everything but the room was very outdated and had a strange smell when we arrived. The free Wi-Fi did not work on any of our devices. The shower never actually got hot due to the shower curtain not being long enough to close all the way and Our toilet continously ran throughout the night which would, very loudly, refill it's tank. All in all it was a decent place.

Romantic, secluded getaway. En Suite Hot tub and private deck. Though not modern, the accommodations are clean, the staff is warm and they have everything you need for a relaxing night away from the city.

Spent one night. After a difficult week working in Atlanta and sitting in traffic 3 to 4 hours a day we were looking for a quiet peaceful get away. It lived up to our expectations. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. If your looking for posh with a view it's not here. This is secluded and quiet and very relaxing. Don't need gadgets and televisions just peace and quiet. Great breakfast and we can't wait to come back again. Love the dinning for two concept. Keep this place just the way it is!

Forrest Hills exceeded our expectations. A great place to get away from it all and relax. The cabin was perfect and had everything we could possibly need. The hot tub just melted away our stress. The food was GREAT! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for couples or families.

The "resort" failed to live up to expectations. We were excited to get away and stay at what was billed as a romantic getaway. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were greeted with a poorly appointed cabin with old smelly furniture. The staff (including the owner) was not helpful and the food was poor. We left after the first night and despite our reaching out to the front desk multiple times, the manager refused to call us back. Overall poor experience, cabin did not match the website, food was expensive and sub par and service was not good. Better off staying at a local hotel.

Nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Nice place to relax and enjoy nature.

This was our first time coming here. Every detail from the personalised champaign bottle, champagne glasses, candles, food, jacuzzi, the bed, the fireplace, even the complete peace and quiet of nature. Above and beyond what anyone could ask for their first experience at forrest hills. You can tell these people care about their cabins they have an amazing staff! We cant wait to come back next year!

The cabin looked EXACTLY as it did on the website. The staff here are friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The cabin is perfectly appointed with very comfortable furniture. The food is really good. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway, then this is the place. We will absolutely be back.
