We just got home from a weekend getaway at the Overlook Inn and it was amazing! Bill and Nicole were so welcoming and gracious. It felt like a home away from home. The food was so great! I can’t say enough about it. The three course breakfast was so delicious. Each room had its own personality and unique touches. We loved our room and look forward to trying out some of the other themed rooms. Their great room was decorated for Christmas and had a huge picturesque window with a breathtaking view of the mountains. It was such a perfect relaxing and peaceful weekend. We hope to return again soon!

We've been here 3 different time celebrating various life moments and it gets better every time! Bill and Nicole treat each guest like family. The food is absolutely amazing! Inn is very clean yet rustic. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet on the mountain.

Great little bed and breakfast, beautiful scenery, cozy rooms and common area. Owners are friendly and helpful. Wine and cheese platter on Friday and Saturday if in the common room at 5pm is a nice touch. The platter has an elegant presentation. Full Breakfast included, food was delicious, beautiful presentation and just the right amount of spices, I didn’t even need to ask for salt (and I’m a salt-a-holic, anyone who know me would not believe it lol) next time will request their dinner package when booking as I did not read this when booked but must request at least 48hrs in advance to be able to get dinner there, although elijay is just a 20 minute drive down the mountain. Definitely recommend this place, we will be back!

The Overlook Inn is so wonderful it will make you comeback twice in the same day. Billy and Nicole are extraordinary. They have really created a utopia of tranquility. The breakfast and dinner are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way, with fresh herbs everywhere! Me and my wife can’t wait to return it is truly a home away from home.

The Overlook Inn B&B is amazing. It truly is the best B&B I’ve stayed in. Great owners who are friendly and kind! The views are incredible. Our whole family had the best time. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get away. 10/10 recommend.

A little piece of Heaven on Earth My husband and I were looking for a quick getaway that would be a short drive from the city of Atlanta. After a few searches on Google we found The Overlook Inn Bed and Breakfast. Wow! This little piece of Heaven was more than we could have ever expected. From the owners to the gorgeous rooms to the fantastic breakfast. And the views are amazing. So worth it. We will be back again and again and again!

Words can not describe amazing this place is! It is certainly something everyone should experience. Lynn and her staff were extremely inviting and accommodating. We did a weekend trip to celebrate my birthday and our 5 year anniversary. Our 3 day weekend getaway was beyond relaxing and way too short! The sheets were like sleeping on a cloud which made it difficult to wake up for breakfast. I am absolutely NOT a morning person but I am glad I drug myself out of bed because my god was the food worth it. All the food was; we did the date night package and let me tell you, they say its smoked trout but I swear its smoked salmon! If you're there on the weekend, DO take advantage of wine and cheese hour! I'm not going to give away all their secrets because you should discover this little slice of heaven on earth for yourself. We can't wait to visit again! P. S. Lynn on our way home I realized I never bought the cheese! Next time don't let me leave with out it!

Absolutely the best weekend on top of a beautiful mountain. The food was AWESOME and the staff and owners gave us the best hospitality.

Overlook was a great place to stay! Lynn, one of the innkeepers, was just fantastic, as was the rest of the housekeeping/serving staff. Great views, wonderful breakfasts, with wine and cheese hour, too! Remote enough to have gorgeous views, close enough to two towns to be convenient. My wife and I can't wait to stay again!

This Inn is a great place to escape for a few days. Quiet & relaxing… Drive is nice & only a few minutes from several things.

My fiancé an I spent our weekend here and it was just what we needed! This was our first time away from our son overnight (he’s 2). It was my first experience at a bed and breakfast as well, and we will definitely be coming back! We stayed in the celestial suite, the room was clean, warm and inviting. The inn keepers were extremely attentive to all our needs — it felt like home away from home (without the cooking and cleaning). I also bought a massage package and Lisa did a fantastic job, I highly recommend her. McKenzie, who works the kitchen was so sweet and kind. We loved our stay — book a room you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful time at The Overlook! Lynn was amazing and so sweet. We hope to come back with a bunch of friends for a little excursion. The Inn is immaculately clean and tidy and that was one of the first things I noticed! My fiance loved all he little treats left everywhere… especially those chocolate biscottis! I stayed here about a year and a half ago and I am still telling people of my experience. My wife and I rented to honeymoon cabin for our 8 years anniversary and it was absolutely great. We ordered the massage package with wine and cheese and dinner for two. The whole thing was just spectacular and would do again if given the chance.

Owners are very friendly and attend to your needs. Lovely breakfast! Fantastic views! We totally enjoyed our visit!

I travel a lot and have probably stayed in over 100 bed and breakfast and never had a experience like I did at this one. Basically the Innkeeper was so rude and crazy acting we left before ever checking in. Being a Doctor for the past 30 plus years And dealing with patients everyday I have never treated a patient as she treated us a customers. Definitely she is not a southerner and has NO southern hospitality! (Standing outside in the sun she even ask my husband to take off his sunglasses so she could see his eyes while she was talking to him) WEIRD.

Took a much needed R&R for only one night at The Overlook and enjoyed every minute. Lynn greeted us with a warm smile! Enjoyed a walk around the State park that she suggested and returned to wine w/cheese and crackers. Our room was well appointed with extra special touches you don't find at most B&Bs. Very clean with comfy linens and robes! Such a relaxing stay! The lodge is cozy and we loved the big oversized leather chairs overlooking the mountain view while we enjoyed a warm apple crisp dessert. I'm not sure which was better, wine w/cheese and crackers, dessert or the amazing breakfast! This Inn is a must if you're looking to be pampered with food and drink while enjoying the beautiful mountain views. Thank you Overlook innkeepers!

The Overlook Inn is a pleasant place to stay in the Chatsworth and Blue Ridge Mountain area. The innkeepers are nice and attentive.

Had a lovely stay at The Overlook Inn! Went for a quick overnight to north Georgia. Our plan was to hike in Fort Mountain State Park which was very close and convenient. The innkeeper accommodated our last minute reservation. We had wine and cheese to greet us and dessert standing by after our dinner out in Blue Ridge. The Moon Eye room was perfect. Beautiful, comfortable and had all of the necessary amenities. Enjoyed sipping wine on our private screen porch and a quick dip in the hot tub before bed. I was very impressed with the well kept property and the quality of service and food. We'll definitely be back!

I cannot describe enough how fabulous our stay at the Overlook Inn was! We were originally booked for two nights, but loved it so much we asked to stay another night and Mrs. Lynn immediately jumped into action and got us all set for another night! Mrs. Lynn is absolutely fabulous! She is so sweet and accommodating and her spirit is just lovely! Her dining suggestions for dinner were all on point and she even made our reservations for us so we literally had to worry about nothing! Breakfast each morning was to die for delicious and because we were the only ones at the Inn, she allowed us to choose our own breakfast time! The breakfast was SO extensive you really do have to pace yourself or else you couldn't possibly finish it all! Everything is fresh and local and prepared with such love and care for different flavor combinations! Breakfast was a true culinary delight! Mrs. Lynn also set up a private wine and cheese tasting for us and allowed us to choose our own wine selection, which was so fun and so yummy! The local cheese was SPECTACULAR and the view from the dining room, where we ate breakfast and chose to sit for our wine and cheese tasting, is absolutely stunning! My husband and I were there for our mini-moon and the room itself and entire Inn couldn't have been better! We stayed in the Grand Gahuti and the room is magnificent!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and had a nice rustic, cozy, mountain feel. Our room had a private screen porch with hot tub and mountain views. Didn't try the hot tub, but enjoyed reading on the rocking chairs on the porch. Views of the mountains from the inn were lovely! Food was delicious! Love the afternoon cookies and evening cheese & wine on the weekends. Very close to fort mountain park for hiking and outdoor activities. Downtown Elijay with shops and restaurants is a relatively short drive down winding, paved roads. Overall a great place for a relaxing weekend stay.

It was 9pm. We came across the mountains and found this place by accident. 4 cars parked in front so we thought we would stay 2 nights and go back for a day trip to Elijah to antique shops. We called the phone number on the website. The lady answered and told us she was in bed and preferred not to get up. She only had here 2 cheaper rooms available so I guess your an important guest if you get there early enough for the expensive rooms.

The inn keeper was an amazing host. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. The breakfast was great. The view from the top of the mountain was beautiful.

Fantastic, peaceful, relaxing! Husband and I got to spend much needed quality time alone at this homey bed and breakfast! Highly recommend! The food prepared by the"elves" is wonderful!

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight on a mountain get away, the suite was great, the selection of wine was good, and the prices were good as well. I will stay there again sometime. The breakfast that was served was an awesome 3 course meal. The hospitality that I received was also top notch.

The Moon Eye lodging was wonderful. The innkeepers were kind and accommodating. The food was delicious. We will return to the beautiful views and the restful experience again.

We had a perfect weekend in the Moon Eye Room. It was such a luxury to have a private hot tub (with fresh water in it only for us) on our own private screened porch. I had a hard time sleeping, so it was great to be able to pad into the big, yet cozy living room to make myself a cup of Sleepytime tea and curl up in a chair — — with an afghan, no less! — — and read until I felt I could successfully go to sleep. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious from the sweet/tart broiled grapefruit to the Eggs Benedict with fresh OJ. Everything was perfect! We visited nearby Fort Mountain State Park, which is historically fascinating, as well as naturally beautiful. It even has a beach and a lake with paddle boats and canoes and kayaks. Then we took an adventurous one-hour trip to the Conasauga River Blue Hole near Old Fort, Tennessee. More fish than any river in the US! It all added up to the perfect weekend! We'll be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the celestial suite at the overlook inn. I recommend staying on a Saturday night to take advantage of the most Overlook Inn has to offer. They have a tasty cheese and wine selection and candlelight dessert service that we immensely enjoyed. The celestial suite is comfortable and cozy. The jacuzzi bath for two and the huge shower was well worth the upgrade in my opinion. We enjoyed an excellent Italian dinner at Charlie's in Ellijay, recommended by the staff. The breakfast room and library has stunning views, and we had a delightful breakfast of juice, fruit, eggs benedict, and diced potatoes. We would like to stay again sometime.
