Let me start by saying that we choose Country Inn and Suites as our regular travel lodging because we always have a great experience. This time, we were rather disappointed. The bed was rock hard and the rest of the furniture was uncomfortable. The desk was situated at the end of the bed so an adult could not even sit in that chair. At bedtime, we turned on the TV for the kids while they get their pj's on, and there was no picture, only sound. I called the front desk to advise them, and they said someone would be right up. A woman from the front desk arrived quickly, but in the mean time, I turned it off and back on and it worked. As I was telling my wife it was working now, there was a knock at the door. When I opened it, she was walking away! She didn't even turn back to look at me as she said "I heard you say it was working so… " I can understand maybe you were busy, but that does not excuse rudeness. We continued having problems with the television, but didn't want to once again feel like we were being a burden. The next day, we went out exploring, and when we came back, housekeeping had been in. They were great. They even made the kids' makeshift beds (couch with sheet and sleeping bag and air mattress with sleeping bag). The one thing they forgot to do was refill the toilet paper. No big deal, I'll just call the front desk and they'll send some, right? Wrong. When I called down and advised that I will need a roll, and was asked "so you're going to come to the desk to get one? " Now, I'm not so lazy that I can't go get my own toilet paper. I guess I've just been spoiled with stays at other Country Inn and Suites locations and have that level of expectation. During our stay, I never once saw the lobby appear to be busy. Even if that was the case, I would imaging the dialog should have been something like this: "I apologize, but I don't have anyone available to bring it up at the moment. You are welcome to come get a roll from the front desk, otherwise I will send one up as soon as I can. " I would have certainly opted to go get it, but I think an option would have been nice, instead of once again feeling like a burden. I will remain loyal to Country Inn and Suites, as up to now, they have always exceeded expectations. We are regular travelers and have stayed enough times to know that this location is just a bad apple. However, if we ever find ourselves in Atlanta again, this location will not be considered.
