I love this location. I stay here every time I have to visit Athens. It is convenient to everything and the staff are exceptionally accommodating.

Clean, comfortable… Everyone is pleasant, Emily at the front desk knows everyone's name… I don't know how she does remember, but when you're away from home for months at a time, its welcoming to hear someone call you by your name and ask "Did you have a good day? " Thank you Marriott for this exceptional property, staffed with exceptional people!

Somewhat secluded from major traffic, which was nice. Was able to check me in easily and fast. Very comfortable rooms. Has continental breakfast early in the morning. Great relaxing getaway for those in or, around Athens or Watkinsville!

Emily greeted and checked me in. She went out of her to make sure all of my needs were met. I will be here for an extended time and I am very happy with my room and the property but it's people like Emily that help to make the experience even better. She's awesome!

Woke up to stink bug walking from the room into the bathroom. Called front desk to see if someone could come up to remove it and the desk clerk came up and was afraid of it. She kept saying stink bugs are common in GA. I told her not in Augusta where I live and never in my room. She offered free snacks from the snack bar. No. Will never stay again. No manager on duty.

I went there to visit family and it isn't all that. The bathroom my aunt had was messed up and had to turn on and off the toilet faucet mechanism in order for the water to stop flushing or making that eerie nose. The breakfast was ok (said my uncle). They were moved to another room and I think there were more problems but by then we were just trying to leave.

The room was clean and the hotel was easy to get to and close to local sites. Unfortunately, the front desk staff was horribly rude and disrespectful — we checked out on Saturday (March 31) at 4 pm because we are Gold SPG members. The staff turned our key off at 12pm and when we tried to get back into our room they blamed us for the key turning off because they said we put it too close to our phone. When they turned it back on it still didn't work and when we took it downstairs for a third time, they finally figured out it was their fault. Not only did they not apologize but they acted as if we were inconveniencing them. Would never stay here again and the staff should really consider treating guests with respect.

Hotel was very nice. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast was very good. It has the usual waffle maker and eggs but it has topping for eggs lime salsa and spinach. Also had toppings for oatmeal that you usually don't see.

Best place to stay in Athens. Inside the room (2 queen bed) is very spacious. Every thing is nicely arranged. There is a sofa, proper study table with lamp, reading lights for both beds, separate place to make coffee which include a sink, closest have enough room to store 29" baggage.

I stayed here on a business trip. Which happened to be in the middle of Hurricane Irma. The whole staff was amazing. Thankyou for taking such good care of me. It was very much appreciated.

I have enjoyed myself everyday I been here which is 5 days and the staff is so friendly! I would make it a point even if I was a few few miles away from my destination to stay here and Travel farther if necessary! Thanks you guys!

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with great customer service. The beds are comfortable and very clean. They have a coin operated washer and dryer as well as a nice work out room. My only complaint is that the refrigerator only cools for 2 hours at a time, so don't bring perishable food expecting to keep it in the fridge. Otherwise this is a great hotel.

Awesome stay at this hotel. All the staff was very friendly, the suites are roomy and very well laid out. One of the best selections at their continental breakfast. No problems at all with our stay.

Cannot recommend this one. I spend a lot of time in Marriotts and this one is not up to par. Breakfast was a disaster i. E the food ran out early. When I complained the front desk directed me to discuss the matter with the person in charge of the kitchen area. Almost as if I needed to manage their folks. Rooms were not comfortable and did not seem necessarily up to date or clean. If you can choose an alternative hotel best to avoid this one.

Great hotel! Clean, quiet, and convenient to everything we needed to get to. Added bonus of allowing us to use the nearby St Mary's wellness center made this weekend trip to Georgia a real getaway! The staff were super friendly and so accomodating. We will stay there again!

Stayed for two days for a wedding. Staff was courteous and helpful. Beds were comfortable and the pillows soft. Plenty of space in the room for me, my wife, and our twin 19 month olds. Breakfast was standard free breakfast.

SpringHill Suites Athens location was very nice, if you wanted to shopping or to a nice restaurant it was right there. The room was extremely nice a couch, loved the glass shower door no nasty shower curtain a plus, the bed was basically a cloud no springs the sleep I've had in a while. Service was friendly family service loved it.

Nice hotel, with very good amenities. I dislike the trend to the little single shot coffee makers; it gives no option to bring better coffee. But otherwise very good facility. The staff were excellent though! Very helpful, pleasant, accommodating! This always makes a stay so much more pleasant. Thanks for doing a great job.

Very nice hotel. Clean! The staff was always extremely helpful and very pleasant. All the hotels inside Athens were booked, so we chose this one just outside. It was very convenient though to everything in Athens. I will stay here anytime I'm in Athens. It is by far one of the best hotels in which I've stayed. The service is definitely rude. We checked in and they told us the room was prepaid. That was not true. My plans cancel to often for me to ever book a prepaid room. I'd have driven to Atlanta and stayed the night before I'd have booked a prepaid room. I showed the woman behind the counter (who was just insistent and rude) the e-mail with the phrase "This room is guaranteed with a credit card. " It never once said I prepaid for the room. She still insisted that I prepaid. So they billed me without my permission. Then, I had the do not disturb sign up so they called me to see if I wanted service. Do they not understand do not DISTURB. ps. The breakfast is pathetic. There's a reason why I stay at Hilton properties and the next time I'm in Athens on a football weekend, I'll drive to Atlanta before I stay here again.
