I won't stay there again. The staff was excellent, I rate them 5 out of 5, if they ever finish the remodeling of the lobby and breakfast area it will look great, a 4 out of 5, but the room… ……. Sigh. The appearance of the room was 5 of 5, very clean, but as soon as you walk in you're accosted by musty stale mold filled air that can't be let out because the window doesn't open. There is no exchange of air in the room (not even a working exhaust fan in the bathroom) so as soon as you turn on the A/C you can smell the mold even more. The air conditioner needs to be cleaned and the room de-humidified. I sneezed, had plugged sinuses and a sore throat the entire stay. I see numerous other reviews here had the same issue. Hopefully they remedy the problem in the future.

This was our second stay here. The location is perfect for attending events across the street at the Amphitheatre. Five Guys burgers is conveniently located just feet from their door and is open late. Although the hotel was under renovation this time, the construction was not disruptive to our weekend stay. Hot breakfast options could use some improvement here, but the food was replenished frequently and had all the typical fare. Beds are comfortable, and all of the linens are clean, white and soft (none of those dark patterned scratchy polyester quilts). AC in the room ran perfectly and I especially appreciate the blackout curtain that's track-fitted to the window frame. Our room was located within feet of the elevator, but noise was not an issue. Check-in and out is fast and easy here. I would not hesitate to return.

Clean hotel with a pool. A nice full breakfast. No balcony, but plenty of room outside to smoke. Excellent location for concerts and for going to the casino. No great amenities, but everything is clean and functional.

Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff members are friendly and personable! They are easy to work with and respond to questions quickly. The location is kind of noisy due to the proximity of the interstate, but it's not too bad. Unfortunately, the pool is currently out of order, but it's too chilly and windy to swim anyway. I'd recommend this hotel based on the staff and cleanliness alone!

Was recently renovated, so everything is fresh and newer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, slowest elevator ever… the major problem with it was that there was nothing really nearby as far as restaurants. Nice pool. Nice room, nice housekeeping staff.

So happy with our reservation. Room is clean, modern, cozy, comfortable. Couldn't be more satisfied. Highly recommended.

Was clean and recently remodeled, rooms looked great and nice furniture, bathroom sink and mirror looked really nice as well. Only shower area looked an eye sore compared to rest of room, but not bad considering other hotels, and was clean. Breakfast was great, overall very great place for the price.

Ice machine and soda machines were close. Maintenance was very polite and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it.

Very clean, comfortable hotel in a convenient location. The rooms were recently redone in a nice contemporary style and mine looked brand new. Had a great stay with no complaints.

Good location. Most room ms have a pullout couch. Rooms are clean and staff is friendly.

Stayed for 1 night wished we could've stayed for longer the beds were amazing! Breakfast was good had the biscuits and gravy.

Holiday Inn Express can get a 5 when breakfast improves. Otherwise, great stay here.

Just need a little more snacks at night for the customers and they guess rooms are excellent I like to set up some of the in are some are very friendly I wouldn't mind letting a friend know about this holiday in here on 301 very nice .

Hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. Breakfast was ok… Pool was clean and check in/out was quick. Beds were very comfortable and room was clean and smelled great.

Location was right near I4. It is currently undergoing renovations and the newly renovated rooms are very nice. Staff was very nice and accomodating. Parking was a challenge due to the renovations and all the storage out in the parking lot. There is also a Five Guys right next door within walking distance.

Stayed on the newly renovated 4th floor, 409 to be exact. Amazing and comfortable upgrades! Pictures are from when we were leaving!

Nice hotel with clean rooms, great service and a friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay. Visiting from Germany the breakfast is different than the ones they serve in the HI Express there but not bad.

This was the most appealing looking architecture I've ever seen on a hotel. It was not your typical plain concrete box hotel. This place is like a warm inviting cozy little slice if.

We stayed here because they are dog friendly. For the price, I expected more. For the name, too. Our first impression was a broken back door. The room had 2 queen beds, even though we requested a single king. The room wasn't the cleanest, the bathtub is old and cracking, molding falling out of the wall… Just not a great experience. They have breakfast, which wasn't bad, but nothing to write home about. Good location, but not the nicest hotel I've stayed in.

I had a great experience at this hotel. I booked here after cancelling at a hotel a block over because of their scary reviews. I stayed 2 nights and was attending an event across the street at the fair grounds. The front desk receptionist was extremely friendly, pleasent, funny and checked us in quickly. (I dont remember her name but she had beautiful long silver hair). Parking was easy, room and bathroom were nice and clean, room was quiet and pool was clean. HIGHLY recommended!

The rooms were big, about the size of the rooms at embassy suites, but obviously much cheaper. The beds and pillows were comfy, the amenities were nice and the breakfast was free and good. The room we were in did look like it had some water damage on the ceiling, but other than that, everything was was great for the price.

The staff is very friendly but the beds are kinda hard and does not feel like most holiday inns. The walls are very thin and can hear everything people are saying in the next room. They did change our room but it did not make a difference. You can hear everythimg someone went to the bathroom.

This is a very clean and nice hotel and close to hard rock cafe. The rooms are pretty reasonable also.

LOVED THIS HOTEL! Only dog friendly hotel that I found that allowed a dog as big as ours (100 lbs) to stay in with us. The pet fee was only 20$ per dog, and the staff was super friendly. We also had the free breakfast and it was actually very good! The rooms were clean and I have absolutely no complaints! This hotel was only 15 minutes from Busch Gardens and the amphitheater was close also. Def staying here again next time we visit Tampa!

From the time we stepped into the lobby we were VERY impressed! Madeline was very friendly upon check-in and check-out. The location was great, for we were attending a concert across the road. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast, the following morning, was delicious and pleasant. There were many varieties of food, but the best part of breakfast was the staff. Diane and Lauren went out of their way to keep the guests happy, the room clean and the food stocked. We will DEFINITELY stay here when we are in the area!

Room was okay, expected a bit more space for a "suite". But it was clean and bathroom was fine. Only issues we had were: 1. Wifi — constantly disconnected, and even when it was connected was very slow. Don't advertise it if it doesn't work. 2. Carpet in room was wet when we arrived. Probably because they used a steam clean vacuum to clean, which is nice. But it should be allowed to dry before you sell the room. Location is not great; nothing really within walking distance except the Fairgrounds and a Five Guys Burger joint.
