Beautiful place perfect for a family or romantic getaway.

Nice setting, stayed in the 2 queen suite. Great ambiance, places to grill and sit outside with a Hawaiian Island vibe. Staff is super friendly and rooms were clean. Overall satisfied, but storage for clothes, etc very sparse. The kitchen was also very sparsely stocked. If you are only planning on reheating leftovers it’s fine… cooking a challenge. The Other recommendation I could make is to pave the parking area and paint parking spaces… other guests can’t quite figure out someone else may need to park their vehicles as well, so parking disappears due to people taking up 1.5 x the parking space they need… also it would also be easier to bring luggage in if we didn’t have to drag it over stones.

Very quiet and well run. Great location, convenient to shopping, dining and the beach. Walking distance to a few restaurants. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It feels like your own private piece of paradise.

Beautiful island vibe, quiet atmosphere, close to shops and restaurants. Even had some wildlife friends join us in the morning. Will definitely be back!

The property is beautiful! The location is nice… restaurants, shops, bike rental, & bait shop are within walking distance. We had an issue with the A/C in our room but they fixed the issue immediately & were very apologetic. The staff were so friendly! We'll definitely be back!

Kona kai is such a cute place to stay. If I wasn’t so focused on partying and more focused on romance this place would’ve killed it. It has string lights on trees and it’s made like a cute little village look. Definitely recommend it!

A beautiful, quaint spot, perfect for families who are visiting Sanibel. Rooms were clean and well equipped. The pool was nice and spacious. The grounds are beautiful! The only issue was staffing. The hours that the office is open are strange but they do a good job of accommodating for that.

Very cute and friendly place. They don't provide housekeeping service during your stay, but will freshen up your room if you request it. They also don't have an iron and ironing board in each room, but have one in the office that you can use. It happened to be in use when I needed it, so that was a slight negative. We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette and that was really nice.

A vacation inside of a vacation. The cabins are amazingly beautiful and spotless. The grounds make you feel like your in a tropical paradise. This is the only place we will stay while on vacation in Sanibel. You can stay in a normal hotel anywhere. This is a special treat.

Place was amazingly clean, nice pool and ambience (very Polonesian look/feel). Easy check-in/out process. Only negative was furniture/ bed not very comfortable. But worth the price… great find.

Loved how cute the suite was. Has everything you need. Kitchen is fully stocked with every appliance you would have at home. The A/C is very cold. The suite comes with a throw blanket which I appreciated. The location of the property is right in the middle of things. The staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a fantastic 1-night stay here and can't wait to return! Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations on the island :) The rooms are clean, super-cute, quaint bungalows, tucked into a nature-filled atmosphere on a cozy little pond. Exactly what we needed! Thanks, Kona Kai!

Decided to leave Orlando for the weekend and found this hidden gem on the island. We loved everything about our stay and will definitely be back soon!

We have stayed numerous times at Kona Kai. Love the location. Great large pool for relaxing. Rooms are large with every necessity at your fingertips. Highly recommend this Sanibel gem, no need to stay anywhere else.

I was amazed at the great rate I got and even more amazed at the size and "like home" feeling of my room… The property is beautiful and I could find no complaints about my stay at all! Kona Kai is also within walking distance to several restaurants and even a 7/11. Highly recommend and will definitely stay again!
