This is the cutest place I ever stayed in while on Sanibel. On site laundry is a must. Kitchens are excellent and helps with saving for more activities. Great location.

Clean, friendly and everything you can possibly need.

Although not Gulf front, walkable to beach. Nice pool. Reasonable rent. Close to Deliver on island — is right on Periwinkle and has birds, wildlife in back. Am repeat customer — non-smoking but pet friendly. Friendly people They also have sister motel, Tropical Winds on the West Gulf Beach.

My daughter and I have stayed here previously. Booked one of the cottages for this stay. Clean, AC efficient, plenty of towels, pleased I didn't pay notice to a few negative reciews.

The staff was really nice and helpful in information very clean rooms and prices are very reasonable would stay here again and recommend it to other people.

We have been staying here off and on for about 10 years. Recently back from a 4 day getaway 2 weeks ago. Staff is wonderful. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel it is not. It is clean, comfortable and close to everything. We usually book one of the A-frame cabins. Never have had an issue. We will be back again in April.

Place is a little outdated but that was not the problem. It wasn't as clean as it should be and there were no blankets. The bed had sheets a a heavy decorative comforter, the kind that looks pretty on the bed but doesn't get washed very often. No light weight blankets available and no extra bedding for the sleeper couch. The dishes I the kitchen were dirty and no dish soap is provided. Floors were so dirty. Had to wear shoes most of the time. Need a good deep cleaning, some remodeling and good linens. Last but not least there is nothing worst than getting into a hot pool on a 90 degree day. Not refreshing or relaxing felt like a hot tub.

Review for A-frame cottage: Cute concept but it needs renovating. Dirty in corners, outdated, some damage. 3 window air conditioners, got a little warm. Living room light wasn't able to be turned on (chain was about 3 inches long and not reachable, even with chair). Kitchen chairs were very wobbly. Pull out couch had stains on the mattress.

Owners were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. The hotel was absolutely adorable and peaceful. Walking/bike ride distance to everything! Will return again.

OVER PRICED CHEAP MOTEL! BUG INFESTATION! Stayed one night left the next morning not worth the $120 a night to sleep with bugs. Ants all over the bathroom bugs in the bed, I am beyond mad. Placed stunk of cleaning products but absolutely nothing was clean. LOL the owner responded to my post and said there was no bug problem and that we didn’t stay there but we did because the name was Under my mom’s card soooo we did indeed stay there and there was indeed a big problem! Don’t get confused and this review was fair because it got a star when it shouldn’t have received one at all.

What a great little place to stay! The owners were very accommodating and polite. The room was comfortable and clean. Will return for sure!

Nice owner and great staff! Cute and cozy place. Nice small pool, and quaint rooms, and Cottages. Centrally located in Sanibel, but a short drive to the beach.

Very clean, awesome vibe. Cool pond in the back. Reasonable prices during off season. Great for a quick get away or a cheap vacation during off season. Bike rentals were 5 dollars for two hours, right on site. GRANT was at the front desk, he was awesome and very helpful.

This place seemed very nice. I only stopped in to meet someone, but everything seemed great and I will be staying there next chance I get!

I absolutely loved staying in the cottage there, it took me back to when I waa young in the islands, it was different, relaxing and the staff there were really helpful and kind. Hopefully I can stay there longer and enjoy more offers that are presented.

Staff is very friendly, we enjoyed going to their sister property traditions to watch the sunset. Pool was warm & the lake is a relaxing touch.

I like bath tubs, they didn't have one. Even so they were a quick walk to the beach and the bike rental place, friendly clean and great kitchenette!

Very quaint, clean, with dated decor, walking distance to ammenities. Be sure to pack your own shampoo and conditioner as they do not supply any.

Nice service. Decent rooms. 10 minutes walk to the beach. Need to be careful with the noseeums or sand bites. Motel is walking distance from restaurants. Do not expect much of a night life as almost evertyhing closes around 9 or 10pm.

Our little villa was super cute but the bed in the room downstairs was horrid. The room smelt must/moldy and the sheets felt cheap. Worst night of sleep in awhile. Couldn't wait to get out of that bed.

My wife was going to be in town in January for an ACM conference and had booked a studio at this property for several days. The property is in a great location for her needs and they have pet friendly rooms. The booking was made via phone, during which, the booking agent was exceptionally helpful, informative, and happy to answer all our questions. Unfortunately, my wife's plans changed and she needed to cancel the booking. Their cancellation policy includes a pretty hefty charge for cancellations ($150 in this case). It is clearly denoted on their website. Having given the property more than a month to rebook the room, we contacted Danielle Olds who helped us resolve the issue. The property team is very professional and everyone we spoke with treated us with respect. Having not actually been able to visit the property, I withheld the extra star.

Very cozy laid back atmosphere. They have a bunch of outdoor games, a pool, and you can pretty much walk or ride bike anywhere on the island from here.

Anchor Inn and Cottages is exactly as it is described and pictured. It is a budget "motel" which means there aren't any frills or luxurious linens, but what you do get is a clean convenient space to lay your head after a day at the beach. We stayed in the standard room which consists of one room with a king sized bed, small table, small fridge and microwave, and bathroom. Which was fine for our needs. The fresh towels we requested daily always smelled freshly laundered and clean. The only suggestions/criticisms I would offer is to have an area outside to wash off the beach sand before guests enter their room or cottage. And, I have to say the shower is way too tiny! Overall, I would recommend Anchor Inn if you are on a budget and looking for clean accommodations to lodge in while enjoying Sanibel. All of the staff I encountered were really friendly and extremely accommodating — which is a huge plus!

This is very reasonably priced for the area (Summer season), and though it is an older property, it is clean and reasonably well maintained. Our visit was the first week of August 2017. The standard room bathroom was very tight, and might be an issue for someone with mobility trouble, or of a larger than average size. I was allowed to check in early, and the Wi-Fi really worked well. Cable TV is provided, so your little one can watch Disney while you get ready to hit the beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is clean and well maintained. There is a front porch area with a table and chairs for each room. If you're heading to Sanibel, this is a reasonable choice.

Staff is great and super friendly. They treat you like you family and make sure you have everything you need. The cottages are nice and have plenty of room for larger groups. It is well kept and really makes you feel at home.

Infestation of Bed Bugs. I absolutely loved the look and feel of the place. I booked for the charming feel.
However what a terrible experience! I we stayed in cottage upon entering I felt weird. I caused it looked and smelled bad.
Infact after 5 minutes of us been there the desk clerk Holly (lovely lady) was at our door with two bottles of disinfecting materials asking if she could check the room if all is clean and good…
should have sensed some was wrong.
Anyhow we left a few minutes after that to explore the island wich we really love.
Went to bed at midnight and wake up to scratching like mad in the middle of the night… Turn light on and bed was full of little dark little spots! I I was perplexed to what the heck was going on… I learned the place was full of bed bugs…
We quickly got up showered and put fresh clothing. And left.
Called at 9 am spoke to Holly and shared our experience and she completely lied to us by saying I never heard of bed bugs… Amazing! cause when I questioned why she come to the cottage after we checked in with those two bottles she said to make sure there no bugs! I really. I I demanded to speak to the owner and she said I will call you back in a few minutes. Call guess what never did. I called again and spoke to another person at the front desk she knew my story and said the owner is aware of the situation but you need to call the manager tomorrow! I was shocked by the lack of care and zero customer support.

Awesome little place with adorable rooms, close to shopping and restaurants, and friendly staff.

This hotel is great, a cleaning both in the rooms as in the areas common spectacular, is a place very quiet and this very well located, the personal of the hotel is very friendly and professional, certainly again very soon.

Very clean rooms and very quiet. Support dogs for my was very convenient. To the rededor has restaurants and a small mercadito. Also this near the beach.

Stayed in room 14 and loved it! It was my mom, aunt, and myself, with my aunt's dog Millie. Lots of room for the three of us to stretch out and not be crammed into a room. The room was kept cool, the kitchen has a small oven, fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. It was actually a bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, the kitchen and living room. We didn't use the pool because we swam at the beach 15 minutes walk down the street, but it was clean and nice looking. They have a horseshoe pit and a corn hole game set up. A little water feature in the back where there's tons of turtles swimming around, lots of birds in the trees, and a family of a mother duck and seven babies were around. Very cool to watch them. If you want to be close to everything you need, this is a good place. Lots within walking distance.

Stayed in one of the A-frames and was very disappointed. Bathroom needs total renovation. Floor in front of shower looked like I could step right through it from wood rot. It actually angled down. Ceiling fan in living room felt like it would fall down so turned it off. TV's are too small for the rooms — some even smaller than a computer screen. This is beyond rustic. It needs immediate attention. I feel it wasn't properly represented. Rooms in this bad of shape need a "disclaimer" to people who are renting them so you expectation is set. How can a room in this bad of shape be renting for the "going" rate? Very disappointing as it was our first stay in Sanibel Island.

Clean king size bed very nice staff can't wait to go back.

Stayed in the 'A' Frame # 21, Very nice, clean, comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Great central location for bicycling around to all/most points of interest. I've stayed at several places on the island and I would stay here again.

We stayed in a very large room with kitchenette and two beds. It was wonderful. Linda and Ron were the best hoteliers we have experienced in our many travels. We were there in September and loved the access to the "sister" property beach, the pool and the "old florida" ambience. We'll be back for sure. J & J Cannon, WV.

Super Preis-Leistung. Beautiful resort with swimming pool. We had a family room with two separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and small kitchen. Good Island feeling. Very friendly reception.
