Needs a lot more work. But very nice lady up front. Bed was very clean and soft. A/C was very strong. Nice a cool all night.

Had to lasso (13) YES Thirteen palmetto bugs that had shacked up in the bathroom sink overflow drain and battle them for 40 minutes or so to stake clam to the room, Then they gave us the wrong deposit back that was 10 dollars more than we paid and did not realize that until they called after we were an hour away wanting us to bring the 10 bucks back, I should have sent them a bill for the bug removal… The beds were nice and the A/C worked well, the bathroom door opened inward so you have to stand on the Head to close it.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. We stayed ONE night. My son was brushing his teeth and ran to my husband saying he saw a roach. My husband spent more than 40 minutes battling roaches that kept coming out of the sink. It was like a nightmare, I have never been so disgusted. I would never stay here again.

Was not sure of the place due to being empty and looked vacant. I think we are the only ones staying the night. A little aged but aren’t we all. Was pleasantly impressed. Very clean rooms. Beds felt new. Some fixtures were even contemporary. All remotes there and worked. Paid 88 with taxes. Has micro. Fridge and cab/sat. Btw. Prior to this. Went to days inn down the street and was closed. Walked outta Rodeway inn. Looked scary.

Of the economy motels, this one has the highest ratings. Not disappointed. Very clean. And if you searching for cheap accommodations, clean is good. Also the beds are very comfortable.

Hot shower, beautiful room, and comfy bed! This place is definitely an older motel but I loved my stay! It is kinda noisy due to it being right next to a major road but at night there isn't much traffic. A/C is noisy but other than that I've got no complaints! I really love this place and if I'm ever in the area again I'll be back here for sure.

+ Friendly staff + parking right in the room + simple free breakfast + comfortable beds + quiet, although it is right at a busy intersection + price very attractive ($ 70/night) + TV and Wi-Fi in room.

Just a crash pad, shower head lower than your shoulders. Bed was nice.

This is exactly the kind of places I wished still existed across the country. Basically untouched since it was built the property features an art deco appearance and still retains it's swimming pool. Fantastic! Once in the room, at least mine, you can see some nice updates while trying to keep the original charm. Modern beds and midcentry modern table and chairs. There was a fridge, but it was just sitting on the floor by itself. Not much else in the room. The bathroom was still sporting all the old fixtures and tile work but the shower left a but to be desired. The shower head actually screamed like a band saw the entire time I was in the shower and the ceiling height is only good up to 6 feet. Be prepared to duck to shower.

Our son and his family along with me and my husband stay here every year and have for the last 5 or 6 years and always reserve the same rooms. We spend about 1700.00 here every year. This year we had to take different rooms. Was told our usual rooms were booked. We have been here 2 weeks and still no one is in our rooms. So a little disappointed. As far as the motel we really like it. Rooms are nice and clean, just dissapointed having different rooms.

I love the room designs! So beautiful! Summer and Tammy were so friendly! 5 stars!

I wish I could show pictures of this place! It was a joke, dirty plastic furniture. We got in real late there was no one there our key is in a box on the door. We got into our room and tripped from the big area rug they put on their painted concreate floors! The sheets we pulled back and there was a hair on our bed! The bathroom counter had dead bugs all over and our shower was filthy. We were already Creeped out by the horrible smell and no one there to complain to or at least get clean sheets. We had no tv… the next morning realized we have one towel and we need get ready for my sons wedding, I sent my daughter to go get us towels she came back with 1 towel, can you believe they had no more towels he said the cleaning lady was off. I am quite sure she had been off for months. We went to their kitchen area and there were 3 pissed of ladies that just wanted hot water for their coffee. I went around and asked him were the food was and he said he didn’t have anymore and was not happy when I asked him to go help the little ladies that wanted coffee. He the. N came back with 3 bagels and said this is it to the people that were there! I left my phone number with him so that the manger could call me. I guess they do not care to much for their customers, Oh and one more thing there is no pool it’s drained just like their customer service!

Very nice furniture in the rooms, freshly renovated and modern (white and grey). BUT unfortunately the pool was out of order (for repair? ) when me and my boyfriend have been here (Sep. 2017). Additionally, there was NO Wi-Fi at all. It did not work at all with Apple devices (Mac and iPhone) and it just worked a few minutes with Android devices. They told us it was because of the hurricane 3 weeks ago, but we couldn't do anything (plan our roadtrip) while we were staying here because it rained for two days. I would have liked to give a better recommendation because the lady at the front desk was very nice, but the pool and Wi-Fi situation was really not fair at all and made our stay really bad.

Had trouble with the tv. Got help. Them we couldn't change the stations. Batteries in remote dead. Wifi wouldn't work and no one was in the office. He took off shortly after we arrived. This was during the threat of hurricane Irma. But shouldn't you let your guests know your closing early. The batteries were the original cheap ones. Shouldnt you make sure everything works. No way to track the storm. Going home is better than sitting here shut off from the world. No. I would not come back here.

Clean quiet and very comfortable and at a good price let me say very clean again a very pleasant surprise.

We stayed here a couple days while visiting my mother. Very impressed. Affordable, very clean, comfortable beds, older place, but very well kept up. Close to restaraunts and anything else you need. Free continental breakfast. Will definitely stay here every time when visiting.

Sun Plaza is. Very nice place to stay. The staff is pleasant and helpful andthe rooms are clean. Sun Plaza is close to everything you need in the Silver Springs and Ocala area.

Our room was clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was quiet. The breakfast was simple with cereal and bagels to eat. There was orange juice coffee and hot chocolate to drink. My only complaint is that in order to get the door to our room to close all the way was to slam it really hard. You couldn't even tell that it wasn't closed all the way.

Quaint, attractive, and affordable. This place is really nice and I'd choose it over a larger chain hotel such as best western. Stay for 3 nights and would do it again. Beds are superior and very modern bedrooms and hotel is near shopping outlets which makes it great. The only downside is the small bathrooms and not every plug worked but what can you say for an older building, this doesn't effect the 5 stars I'm giving it.

It was very clean. Beds comfortable. Reminds me of the 50s. Personal were super helpful. Prices were so reasonable we were surprised how nice it was.

What an adventure. This is a place to sleep but do not expect a whole lot of anything else. Requested adjoining rooms, lucky I guess to get them in the same building. I realized after being there that needing one room with a queen size bed was causing the issue, but they could have told us when making reservations. Dead roaches in one room and it was missing the amenities, microwave and fridge. Went to check out this morning and even though they are suppose to have the continental breakfast up at 7AM, it was after 7:30 and no one still had opened the front office. Finally just left the key in the room and left. One sink not working, shower not working correctly, bathroom extremely small. Just an overall bad value for what you are paying. Nothing like you are led to believe from the marketing on the website.

The Sun Plaza is really a great value since it's recent renovation. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and well equipped. The location was perfect out trip.

It was a very clean, well located little motel. My friends and I had a fabulous time. Newly renovated, brand new beds and bedding. Good pillows and good towels. Is a very simple place but all you need when visiting the area. Donna the manager, was very nice and accommodating. I would recommend to anyone looking for a bed to spend the night while visiting and doing outdoor activities.

Do not stay here this place is filthy not like the pictures at all, this so called remodel was cheap primer panted over old musty wallpaper and old water damaged paneling there were spiders on the bathroom counter webs in the window sills in the bathroom no windows a lifted up the mattress cover and there was a black bug looking at it closer I noticed it was a bed bug, I had been wondering why my one arm was getting red dots on it and itchy. The place is a shoestring remodel job nothing like the pictures at all in a bad neighborhood the pool was dirty the whole time there. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else this place is a dive I guess good for a quickie or drug binge other then that keep looking.

Very newly updated motel was very clean and nice the shower in our room could have been better but over all we would definitely stay again.

Always the best before moving back we only stayed there on our visits to our families. The nicest owners and friendly people.

We've stayed here several times through the years, before it was renovated. It's a blast from the past, a nostalgic trip back in time to the days when these types of motels were a dime a dozen. I'm hoping the new owner keeps the vintage feel, and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

I stayed here for a week the rooms are very clean and its cheap but the manager is rude and the cleaning lady is very sweet she done extra stuff for me she wasn't suppose to do but all and all it was nice but don't believe I would go back because of the manager that runs it isn't very friendly.

We stayed there in April. Went somewhere different the second nite. Should have went back to the Sun Plaza. The staff was real friendly. We were comfortable. We are heading to Daytona Saturday. We are going to stay in Silver Springs Sat night. We will spend our money here.

Me and My sister have stayed at the Sun Plaza Motel in the past the staff were great and the rooms were clean also. So if you are passing through the Silver Springs Fl area this motel is you best bet and you are right across from the concert area ect. You also have plenty of places to eat right near by. This is the best place to stay at in Marion County. Friendly staff and the cleanest rooms in Silver Springs. Nice Pool area! But the only thing I did not like was this hotel no continential breakfast. But like I said nice Hotel I have stayed here in the past. So if you have friends or family coming in town have them stay here this place is Great! J. C Orlando, fl.
