The brace and the sunsets are just wonderful. I have copd and it helps with the salt water breeze. We saw dolphins inter costal. Had two dogs they loved it.

Pet friendly, amazing private beach, amazing Gulf waters with sunsets that are unforgettable. The staff could not have been more caring. Plenty of fabulous restaurants Seafood, French, Italian, Greek within a mile or two! About 12-15 minutes of show grounds at Fox Lee.

Perfect vacation spot right on a private beach with beautiful clear water to swim in. Brought 3 kids under 10, so convenient to walk right out to the beach. Christopher was fantastic prior to our arrival helping us and our friends get side by side rooms and explained the property in full detail. All staff we encountered were super friendly and accommodating. We plan to come back many more times!

Put in wrong room at check in. Rooms are very small and cramped. Room we were moved to was horrible,, take a shower and the whole bathroom flooded and no way to wipe it up, no where to hang bath towels in bathroom
No supplies like an extra roll of toilet paper (ran out of toilet paper while sitting on toilet and once again NOT able to reach anyone and office was closed but was supposed to be open at 10 am) and paper towels and bath towels,,, 2 bath towels for 2 adults for 3 days
Office is never open and cannot reach anyone when needed! Definitely NOT a place I’d come back to.

Love this resort! Updates are gorgeous, service is great, can’t beat the location!

I do not recommend this motel but will give the positives 1st. Great beach location. Mostly clean room, well equipped kitchen. Lounge chairs and beach towels provided Friendly staff. Great water pressure in shower.
However, the downfalls outweigh the good. Full size bed rather than queen as the office told us it would be. Very dated room. Sandy floor. No towel hooks by bathroom sink. No shelf for toiletries, had to use toilet to set things down on.
Although it is conveniently located on the beach, we would not stay here again.

Quiet location on Casey key. Although our bungalow was next to the road, we didn’t hear any road noise. Great beach and very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and well stocked kitchenette.

I love the design, had my doubts before I got here. Sarah reassure me on the phone, she said I would like it. I walked in and was amazed. It is a beautiful suite.

Rooms are dated. Efficiency. However, it was nice Across from beach in Venice. Staff very nice. Late check in was easy after office hours. Beautiful beach! Bed was king and very comfortable!

What an amazing stay! The check in process was simple and easy thanks to Sarah. We had a great room with that old Florida feeling that we love. The best part was having access to both the Gulf and Intracoastal. If you don't give this place a try you're missing out!

Recently stayed in unit 10. The bungalow was small with a nice layout and beautifully remodeled. We loved the location, steps from the beach and great proximity to Sarasota and Venice. A favorite was the tiki hut to enjoy the beautiful sunset and gulf breeze. We will return!

We had our sunset wedding here and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff did an amazing job coordinating the arrival of all of our guests and helped with the planning and organizing of the event. Sarah, Susan, and Hannah were awesome! We’ve stayed here before and loved it which is why we wanted to have our wedding here. We will definitely be back!

I love Casey key area however this establishment is really overpriced for the product received. Was lied to about red-tide not being there. Buyer beware they have a clause stating unless you cancel > than 30 days in advance your money is not returned. We didn't register that far in advance. So we were trapped. The staff was nice, room was clean. But since we couldn't cool off at the beach because of red tide, there's no pool, we were trapped in our room to stay cool. We won't be back.

Awesome place, fantastic staff. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. The kids had a blast, we bbq'd, played games, saw someone catch a fish and were on the beach when a turtle came up to lay eggs. Best vacation ever!

I have stayed here for the last 3 years and the prices keep going higher and higher and the rooms are getting worse and worse. Had MUTIPLE Roaches during our stay! Our toilet wouldn’t flush and we were unable to use the restroom for 2 days there! That’s unacceptable. Also the previous post from others looks like this is a ongoing problem and Chris the owner isn’t going to fix! They never came to my room to try to fix! My shower head wouldn’t work no water would come out if it and they wouldn’t fix it either! They say the place was updated. I guess they mean 1970s is up to date? Couches ripped, Cabinets falling off the wall, place was not clean at all and bed was horribly uncomfortable. They also make it very hard to check in late. I have called Sara everyday since we have left to get someone to acknowledge this and no one has called me back! I have to call them private for them to answer and have been told multiple times we will call you back and never do, this has gone on for over a week! I have been going to Casey key for 40 yrs and this place is overly priced and no working toilets and roaches! I have family that live there and word of mouth says a lot! Sunset terrace is only 1600 for the same and all updated and beautiful and gulf shores is 3000 and disgusting and no toilets and showers don’t work and you will have huge roaches and bring them home! Since Chris Doves the new owner took over it has gone down hill and will continue to do so!

Great location. Really nice staff. They allow little dogs but are not dog friendly as claimed. The fee for our dog was out of control. Our back door was falling off (a safety issue) and it did not get addressed during our stay. We could not use the grassy area behind our unit because the septic was seeping up and making the grass a soupy mess. It also made the back porch unpleasant to be on as there was a smell.

Overall place was perfect for the 2 of us. However the bungalow was small, no where for our bags, no hooks for bathing suites, or places to really sit comfortably. We will be back to try a different room for sure!

Be prepared to pay $325 — $425 a night. Floor was so dirty. Urine smell from previous pets. Screen door totally ripped. An animal could get hurt jumping through the screen and then 4 high steps down. No pool, no restaurants or minimarket within walking distance. The beach was nice, if you like walking on shells. I would not recommend this establishment.

We enjoyed our stay. Well update. Unfortunately. We had booked for 10 days and soon. After I wrote the review we were told we had to leave the resort that a client paying full price had been given our room so we were tossed to the curb after only staying 2 nights. Our home was damaged from hurricane irma and we had a lovely home before the tragic storm. FEMA and our insurance are working to restore our home so we were offered lodging by FEMA. We have never felt so degraded in all of our lives. We never ask for anything in our life. We had never used a FEMA room and never realized that FEMA paid less for the rooms but even at that the resort new that FEMA paid less and if they wanted more money then they shouldnt offer FEMA rooms. In fact we werent even asked to pay the difference. Just rented our room while we were still in the room and the two days we did stay there was construction being done and we had to open our door. Several times and allow workers to come into our room due to the power box being in our room. We didnt make a fuss over it but it was an inconvenience. The beach is beautiful and very private I must say and the bungalows are small but comfortable. Would have been a nice lil get away without the construction. Noise and the degrading part of it. We had even thought of bringing our daughters and family at a later date and rent a couple beach houses for a week of relaxation and family time but not now not after what they did to us. Im a fair honest humble man.

This place is awesome, Christopher checked me in, excellent service and excellent rooms great price and beautiful, I wish I could give 10 stars.

I stayed here over the holidays with my family, and while the resort seemed like it was fresh and updated, the toilet didn't function, which made for a miserable experience. We notified the staff, and they seemed apathetic to our complaints. A functioning bathroom shouldn't be hard to ask for! We will not go back or recommend. Renter beware.

We watch the sunrise every morning very beautiful. The sunsets are amazing. Very nice place to stay I love it here so peaceful and Serene.

I would not even give 1 star very disappointed. Drove 2 hrs for anniversary to show up to a sold out resort. Made reservations 2 weeks prior. The manager cancelled our reservation the night before we arrived so he could sell room for entire weekend. After 4 hrs of of going back and forth with his bullsh. All he had to do was admit he over booked and we could move on try to get another room. Thanks for ruining our anniversary.

So many wonderful memories for Gulf Shores, we found a piece of paradise by turning off Hwy 41 and onto Casey Key Blvd… nothing planned, stopped in and wanted to stay forever.

I have stayed here twice. Absolutely love the remodeling that they have done. Implacable taste with the decor. It's perfect, clean and have access to both the gulf and bay. Sarah in the office is wonderful to work with and so helpful.

I spent the week of Christmas there and while the room was not new, the room was clean and quaint. Also there was a brand new TV and Temper Pedic mattress! The stay was clean and comfortable. The staff to include the owner was there to check us in at 8 p. M. On Christmas eve and was very kind and accommodating. I had an amazing Christmas this year in large part due to my comfortable stay at Gulf Shores. AND we returned just 2 weeks ago as proof of how much we enjoyed our time there! This visit was AMAZING! It was a softly redecorated room updated and modern AND another brand new bed! The cost was ridiculously awesome! Anyway Staff was awesome and the room hit a 5 out of 5. I'm planning to send my son and his family there in February as a gift. I"m a lifelong fan. Well as long as the current owner is there.

Overpriced, some rooms very ramschig.

Old rooms the size of postage stamps. Furniture mish mash with chunks of wood missing or chipped. Banged up doors. No door on closet exposed pipes and duct work etc in with your clothes. Bedroom door won't shut. Mattresses old and uncomfortable. Supposed to be pet friendly and charge 30.00 per night for each pet then tell you don't walk the dog anywhere on our property take them to the main road and walk them in the road. There was no way our two little dogs could damage anything worth $60.00 a night in that room because there was nothing even worth that much in the room. The floors are old cement. We had a porch that adjoined the next room and the rickety folding door between them didn't stay closed or lock. You couldn't lock the porch door either. Lots of rusted old chairs and other junk on the property. The rooms are overpriced and have no amenities, no toiletries except a bar of Ivory soap. Old appliances in the so called kitchenette. Couldn't use the oven because it was smelling of burnt food and smoking. Had only the top half of a broiler pan in it. No other pans to cook in. When we arrived the housekeeper was smoking in our room which she was cleaning. Then when we were entering the office she was standing in front of the door lighting up another cigarette blocking us and blowing smoke at us totally oblivious. She said can I help you and I said no I am trying to get away from your smoke! Shortage of electrical outlets.

It's not luxurious by any means. Not on the beach. Should not open or rent rooms until it is halfway renovated. Filthy chairs on the patio. Ripped screens on patio. Not good. New owners.
