This place was basically a rebadged Motel 6. It was conveniently located along the thoroughfare though close to Siesta Key beach. The rooms are a bit dated, but it was pretty quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the TV had a fairly decent selection. The air conditioning was also very good considering the size of the room, and the fact that it was an "in-the-wall" unit. Overall good experience.

It's a decent hotel. Very clean and nice staff. The location is a bit dated and needing a refresh. If you are looking for a place to sleep, then this place will do fine. I wouldn't recommend if you are planning a long stay, or if you are looking for something more luxurious.

The staff here is awesome. The place definitely needs an upgrade. I’ve stayed here a couple of times while traveling on business.

BEWARE! This place looks nice, but once we unpacked, alarm clock humming, CO2 detector buzzing and alerting falsely, sink and bathtub didnt drain right, and the bald staff member with glasses was very rude and kept picking arguements with my fiance. This place does not deserve your money!

Rooms have fly and bug issues and terrible smells that I have noticed in other motels. Some kind of fragrance to cover up offensive odors, but the fragrance is itself offensive. Towels didn't smell clean. To be fair, the management was great about trying to get us room that worked for us, which is why I went with 3 stars.

The room had an odd smell, as well as a tissue shoved into the air conditioner (why wouldn't housekeeping notice this? ). We weren't allowed to check into the hotel one hour early because they were apparently entirely booked. However there were never more than 10 cars in the parking lot. The room itself is about average. It would be nice to have more than one small trashcan.

"Fluffy biscuits" — seriously, wait until you see these fluffy biscuits — like rocks. The rooms are old and dingy. Our A/C was not working at first, and it took us quite a while to convince them to fix it, after they said "Sorry, nothing we can do. " How can you even rent a room in Florida with no working A/C?

Made a online booking error and check in was at 3pm but we needed a room at 6am, now. Hours of driving and no room for patience, I could not get it resolved. With app or clerk, they kept telling me call the other b/c its not up to me. I was in the process of buying another room and then she felt bad I assume and let us stay in a room I paid for 7am-11am. At check out we woke up tired, the clerk said u have another day to stay. Which was nice of them. But all the fuss could have been avoided with ease.

The room was very clean, the room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Reception speaks with guest and looks disinterested on his cell phone. Room But in principle clean if you don't look in the corners.

Better experience than what other reviews said, to be honest. Also the breakfast was decent. At least that was my experience there.

Average accommodations in older motel building. Room was worn but clean with a few exceptions. Breakfast was decent. Staff very friendly.

The attention is good. The cleanliness of the room is very good. Breakfast is excellent. It has a very good location to mobilize to any place either by car or bus.

Room was clean and beds were OK but that was about it for positive. AC barely worked and was extremely loud, bathroom light worked half the time and the shower water pressure was terrible. At least there was hot water and having a grocery store next door was nice. Also make sure to lock you car and take out all valuables as there is a group of roaming homeless people that like to camp right outside the facility.

The structure of the building is poor but the room was clean, the breakfast was excellent.

Wyndham/Baymont Unreliable. Booked thru Hotel Tonight 2/15 $277. Arrived 2/17 for 2 night stay and was told reservation did not exist. I showed receipt on my phone. Was NOT offered equivalent room in another hotel. Nothing available even in nearby cities for less than $250. Had to drive home 2.5 hours, 172 miles. Entire 3-day weekend ruined. Hotel chain does not respect prepaid reservations. You might get stranded like I did. Stiffed. No offer of alternate room per their agreement wirh HT.

For the price, excellent. Room dated but clean, cool, quiet, and water for shower was hot. Blow dryer & Continental breakfast. What more do you really need.

All excellent breakfast more than I expected all organized and varied the only complaint I have stayed three days and not one day I got room service I had to go out and ask for towels sheets and soaps and take out the rubbish ourselves should improve that to be able to give them 5 stars… Thank you!

Smelled. I left itching badly. Something needs to be done about this place. Very poorly ran. Wouldnt change my sheets because they have a three day rule they said. Housekeeping complained they were not paid enough. Etc… Indian lady at check in was very nice. Brought me spray for my smelly room. And a plastic fork. Thanks indian lady!

Rm 201 everything worked. Manager was accommodating for night shift deficiencies. Breakfast is a 2. Crock pot eggs, etc. Coffee is instant. For the price it's perfect.

Gotta love fleas, all over in the room, went to the front desk to get another room and had fleas in it as well. Also it doesn't help when the office kid says at least it isn't bed bugs this time. Guess you get what you pay for. If you want to save money this is the place, if you want piece of mind this is not the place!

Very good hotel, with enough accommodation to spend your night after enjoying a day at the beach in Siesta Key. Its breakfast Tipp buffet is good just like its facilities.

We stayed 4 nights and it was the best place to stay so far on our 60+ day sojourn. Staff was terrific and the place was perfect!

A very comfortable hotel. We only had one drawback with the breakfast that was fine (the front desk employee) could solve us with a lot of kindness thinking about the needs of our children. Unfortunately the kitchen in charge was very poorly educated in the deal and was really unpleasant.

We would give this hotel 0 stars! Horrible! It was so bad we left after 5 minutes and "donated" our $130 which was non-refundable and spent an additional $100 for a clean, safe room at Holiday Inn. Baymont should be ashamed to call this one of their many hotels! We expected a minimum standard that was not met.

Good choice for a relaxing stay without paying much. It is not very close to the points of interest but car is comfortable to access.

Plumbing issues on a holiday weekend,,, instead of fixing it, every one goes home. No towels due to plumbing issues,,, staff is to lazy to go to a laundry mat to work insure guest are taking fb care of. Justin Claudio is the worst manager at any hotel I've ever stayed at. I spent 400$ and got 100$ worth of service. Best thing they have going for them here is Barbara who works the front desk.

Terrible and unsafe. We were placed in the middle of the renovation zone. Awakened before sunrise by the dumpster being replaced/emptied. We had an attempted breakin around 2AM. Brought both of these up with the front desk at check out… can't control the dumpster and maybe the system programmed another key wrong. Sure but why was someone trying to enter our specific room? DISAPPOINTED AND APPALLED BY RESPONSE. Do not stay here.

Breakfast is normal like everywhere. Over all clean. Location was the best it was close to everything. Almost 10 — 20 minutes to all the cool locations in Sarasota.

Price-to-quality. Economic very good.

Clean, quiet, good location, nice pool, good parking, good rates. Not necessarily upscale but very nice for the money. Close to downtown and restaurants.

The room I had was on the first floor. I don't know how many rooms there were. It had favorable rates. There were 2 floors, a laundry section, breakfast in a pretty good sized room. The food was good. They also have a pool. It looked good. It was clean but I didn't use it. The location is pretty good. There's a Winn Dixie next door. A walgreens not too far away. Only thing that was kinda not that good was the Wi-Fi it kept dropping. I didn't bother using it while I was there.

It was a typical Olive Garden. The food was satisfactory. Our waitress was not very attentive, nor did she remember to bring a few different things. We ended up asking another waitress. The 2nd waitress was a great improvement compared to the 1st. Because of her abilities to be friendly, attentive and prompt I will return to this location.

Bad: Run-down, dark rooms. Door and curtain damaged, the table missing, the buttons of the AC stolen. Housekeeping skipped me two days in a row and did not understand any English. Some guests scared me a little — guys with liquor bottles at night in the hallways, a crew of five man, probably construction workers, sharing the room next to me. Good: Clean. Central, very convenient location — several restaurants and a Starbucks across the street. Decent breakfast included, small, but well-organized place with fresh pancakes, fruit salad, eggs and more. Very nice and helpful front desk employees trying their best. If booked over an app reasonable prices (under $100) given the high level of Sarasota. I think the hotel is currently a mess, but I kind of liked several aspects and hope they get a budget to renovate. Convenient for short-time and business travelers, not really for longer/vacation stays and with children.

I needed to stay in Sarasota overnight for work and the hotel provided everything I needed in a convenient fashion including a fast check-in, clean and comfortable room comparable to chain hotel standards and a no-hassle check out. My only complaint is that the breakfast was very poor.

Its ok as a last minute stop to sleep and go on. The place is not as awful as it seems, its just old and outdated. It wasnt super clean but it was clean. A few things here and there like in our room there is a plumbing problem the sink was clogged, the middle bath knob was trembling and it sounded like a plumbing pipe issue. The toilet seat was very old and yellow from chemicals. The TV remote didnt function fully and the carpets are old. The room does have great a/c, it was clean, no funky smell, fridge and microwave worked great. The complementary breakfast kinda sucks, but its ok. I would stay here to save money and its not run down hotel.

This place is a joke. One — I had mail mailed to me, the front desk left me a message saying there was mail for at the front desk. I went to the front desk after work and they couldn't find it. A few days later my dirty laundry was missing out of my room, the front desk guy looked at me like I was crazy! What a joke for service and didn't give a crap about my displeasure!

Best Western Midtown hotel is ideal accommodation for the transit. A typical Best Western no frills. The search for food was somewhat awkward.

I am a petitioner from Texas, I travel the country for work… this by far is the best motel I've stayed in considering the price. Very clean, quiet, convenient. Very nice people. I was in Tampa before and every motel I read reviews on said something about crime, drugs, etc… won't find any of that here.
