Review of Oceanview Lodge - Saint Augustine 2*

Bout to give a very detailed review on this place which is rare because I never do these things but this place deserves it! This is probably the WORST hotel/motel experience I have ever had, besides the location being really close to the beach, allowing dogs, and the maids are super nice, it was not a good motel. First right off the bat, my boyfriend checked in, and the front desk lady was rude and talking on the phone and we were trying to check in, and you can barely understand anything she says, the only reason we stayed there is because it was the only one that was decent priced and allows dogs on St. Augustine, then she gives us a paper after driving six hours saying, that dogs weren't allowed to be on the beds or furniture or left alone for any certain amount of time, we have a 3 pound chiuahaha of course it's going to sleep with us! Would of been nice to know that before we paid for the room weeks in advance… and then also my boyfriend tells her that we don't want maid service (we had a experience when a maid stole from us) so ever since then we don't want maids in the room, and the lady questions us on why like it was a problem… then we get in the room it's pretty nice with a balcony but there were stains all over the towels, so we had to take time out of our vacation and go buy towels and wash them at a dingy laundry Matt because the hotel didn't have washer room either, then the next day I go to ask the lady for a couple hand towels, and she asks why do I need them? Ok I don't think you should question your guest on why she wants more hand towels … And I tell her why because we only had two the day of and I gave my THREE POUND DOG A bath after the beach and needed something to dry her off with, & we needed some for drying our hands off and whatever else and she tells me no… And puts back 2 in her hand and gives me one… I was stunned. So yeah, if you want rude snobby service stay here… Lol. Other than that it was a perfect trip.
