We absolutely adored KATIE she was at the front desk and she was wonderful. We had a bad experience somewhere else and she got us in right away! The room was great… MARY the head of cleaning services was super sweet & super nice. Janice, Melanie and Marty where all excellent! Everyone did their best to please us we were so happy we stayed there the weekend of valentines! If it wasn’t for Katie being so nice to us on the phone, she was so personal I would’ve never known about your beach inn and then we would’ve never met the other employees who were so wonderful! It was the nice reviews about Katie that had us call! Thank you again Sally & Shane O’Brien.

Such a cute beach hotel! The night clerk was delightful, the room was small but clean and bright and the bathroom more than adequate. I will definitely stay here again.

I love this very sweet, self branding, ocean front, relaxing, Old Florida feel small hotel. My pet and I are very comfortable and happy. The staff is very friendly, the owners are fantastic and the rooms are clean. I have not one complaint only a rave review! 🥰

The Lack of noise was the best thing ever. We loved the room and ocean view. Only thing missing was an elevator to the second floor. Next time we will pack lighter. Lol overall I give this place 5 out 5 stars. Staff was friendly rooms were immaculate, and the pool was fantastic.

Very friendly staff. Room is comfortable and spacious. The sunrise view is nothing short of spectacular! Can be a little noisy on the balcony with traffic, but you can't hear it in the room.
Could use a small update and routine maintenance, that being said this is an awesome place to stay!

The Ocean Sands Beach Inn. In St. Augstine is a beautiful hotel with amazing service and atmosphere. Ms. Mary at the front desk has also made our stay so comfy and welcoming. Five star all the way!

I was visiting family that were staying at this hotel. The rooms were quaint and comfortable. The grounds were kept clean. Being close to the beach was very convenient and enjoyable.

A very small little place. Friendly employees. Comfy bed, could use better bedding. Could be cleaner. Breakfast area is small. A great place for the price. Private access to the beach. Very quiet. Nice clean pool. They have beach chairs, boogie boards and beach umbrellas to borrow. Big flat screen TV in the room was nice. We will be back. Close to things to do without being right in the middle of everything.

I really enjoyed myself a lot. It is right in front of the ocean. Early in the morning we went to the beach to see the sun rises. It was nice to see the sun rises. It looked so beautiful.

Older resort, but definitely a good value for the price. Colorful and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Decent breakfast and comparable to any "hot" breakfast at a value hotel. We loved that it was steps from the beach. They also had umbrellas, chairs that could be used by hotel guests so you didn't have to bring your own.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Our room was spotless, and the private beach access (and the view) was wonderful! The front desk staff, especially Kayla and Patrick, were very sweet and accommodating. The complementary beach chairs and umbrellas were an added bonus. We fell in love with St. Augustine and this hotel, and we'll definitely be back next year.

Older hotel but really clean and the staff is really friendly. Good selection in the continental breakfast. Would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Enjoyed our stay… the walls are very thin… we could hear every step from the room above… in contrast the breakfast we great, 24 hr coffee, and private beach entrance were AMAZING! They had complimentary beach equipment for use which was convenient as well. Bring a FULL water bottle, the water here was pretty smelly and tasted of sulfur…

This is a great little Beach hotel. It's simple, not fancy, but was clean and comfortable. The room was plenty big and furnished nicely. They have beach chairs, toys and umbrellas to borrow. Best was the included breakfast, with two small kids I greatly appreciated not having to get the dressed and rushed out the door first thing in the morning. Will definitely be back.

Quaint, clean and great beach view. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable. Complementary beach chairs were a big bonus. Pool area is small but very nice with plenty of chairs. Very nice location. Not too far from downtown St Augustine. Did not try the breakfast. We will go back.

My husband and I checked in on 4/13 and out on 4/15. Two nights. Hotel and staff were very nice and room and facility were nice and clean. The family staying in rooms 204 and 206 next door to our room 208 had the worst behaved children and negligent parents I have ever had the misfortune to share a hotel with. I am in hopes that they read this review and feel ashamed at how they disrupted our stay there. Noisy and jumping around the room. Otherwise a very nice place.

Cute hotel right on the beach. Older hotel but it's was very clean. Rooms were good size for the price plus it has a private beach. Staff was great too.

Great hotel! Very clean, room was spotless, beds were great, linens were bright and white and we had everything we needed. Check in and out was fast and friendly and the rates were great. We will stay here again!

Dirty rooms. Had to kill a cockroach. Medical IV bag hanging from the window. The staff was very rude and disrespectful. Our room was disgusting. We had to kill a cockroach, there was a medical IV bag hanging in the window they claimed the room was just cleaned and clearly wasn't. They put us right next to the "breakfast room" we could hear everything. We complained to the staff from the second we stepped foot in the room that it was dirty and asked for a different room. They told us nothing else was available until we had to kill the cockroach in our room. They gave us a different room which still wasn't that much better. The bed was supposed to be king pretty sure it was a queen and it was falling apart. The bed springs were sinking to the floor the vent ac/heat unit only worked half the time. The staff was disrespectful to us including the owner was EXTREMELY rude. The only good thing about the breakfast was the waffles their "omelets " if that's what you want to call it were just tiny little microwavable dried out eggs. Don't waste your time staying here for beach access. You can stay anywhere else in saint augustine and have free public beach access. You don't need this nasty rude staffed place.

A nice quiet cozy place close to St Augustine with a private beach. Great for a weekend getaway. The breakfast included omelets and make it yourself waffles.

It’s a nice hotel, ocean right across the street, which is good. Beautiful view from the room. But was too noisy at night because of the cars passing by. Room was dirty, empty plastic bottle was on a floor, there was a brown stain on the blanket… not much on breakfast and dining area is so small, we were eating in the lobby. Staff was very nice.

Right across the street from the ocean. Slept with the door open most of the nights there, coffee & cocktails on the balcony. Very clean, the staff are genuine and very helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

The Inn is convenient to the St. Augustine attractions. The Inn has it's own private beach and it's own pool. There's a Publix Super Market nearby and lots of yummy restaurants within a short distance. Rooms are clean and the Staff is great! It was a relaxing atmosphere and perfect for a weekend get-a-way!

Decent rooms and friendly staff. My only complaint is the place has to have the world's thinnest walls, I could hear everything from the neighbors from both sides.

This place is great it's quaint cozy and spotless has a wonderful view of the beach from the room and you can see the marsh from the back of the property it's beautiful an inexpensive I definitely would come back again.

We booked an ocean view room (only those at the front of the building, on the second floor, face the ocean across the road). Note: no elevators, only stairs, to reach the second floor. If you cannot use stairs, keep this in mind. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. It is an older hotel, and a bit tired around the edges. We had difficulty with the a/c, in that it was too cold when running, and too warm when not. There was no happy medium, even with the thermostat. So either keep it on all the time and freeze, or set it warmer and feel hot when it shuts off. The balcony was nice, and you hear the waves. Be prepared for road traffic passing by, however. Breakfast was minimal. I've never seen slices of white bread wrapped in cellophane. Bagels were mini, and the fruit was the smallest I had ever seen. Coffee was all right. Dining area very tight. We thought about staying a second night, but decided not to mostly because we slept poorly, being hot and cold.

After a popular travel site who I will not name but the EX does not mean excellent messed up our dates the inn was very understanding and went above and beyond to accommodate us. Room was immaculate staff was exceptional and we would and will recommend this great place to everyone. Did I mention the nice breakfast included? Very affordable and we'll worth the fee.

A good spot on the beach. Private beach across the street. Small pool around back that closes at dusk. The ocean is open all night. They have boogie boards, umbrellas and beach chairs that you grab and go. Apparently toast and cereal for breakfast, but I'm not here to be fed. Friendly, helpful staff. Very quiet at night. 2nd floor ocean view in the front.

We stayed here 2 days on our way to Daytona and loved it. Staff wad great. Basically we had the beach to ourselves. Nice private walkway over to beach. Rooms were good. Free breakfast the kids lived to make there own waffles. We will definitely go back.

Stayed here on our first visit to Saint Augustine at the end of June to celebrate our 21st anniversary. We wanted a "home base" where we could walk the beach and watch the sunrise every morning before we started the day exploring all Saint Augustine has to offer and then also a place to hop in the pool at the end of the day and walk the beach in the evenings. This was absolutely perfect! The beach is right across the street and we spent much of our time on it alone or with just a couple other people. Very private! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and the price was right! We would definitely stay here again.

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Pool was small but very nice! Beach access was perfect. Breakfast was yummy and the coffee was spot on! Location was wonderful especially for some quiet time on the balcony. I wouldn't have booked our stay here if it wasn't for the reviews so that's why I'm giving it 5 stars! Will definitely book here in the future… sooner than later!

The "room service" is almost non existent. Our rooms were not done as of 3:30pm one day, we asked if they could be done… I had found 1 suspicious bug in my bed and would have liked the bed changed. Our towels were taken from us, none brought back. Our ice bucket, apparently, had a leak and leaked all over the little tray they give you for your coffee cups and coffee. House keeping, Nikki, did not change that tray, covered in about an inch of water. Had to go get new towels and floor mat, new ice bucket, more coffee/coffee cups, as we had none after she "cleaned" the room. Next day room was barely done. Next day — room was not touched at all, not one thing done… No coffee cups/coffee, trash not taken out, beds the same. Again, had to get everything ourselves. We had stayed here before and enjoyed it. Absolutely not worth it if it is completely a self serve hotel now, apparently. Guy at the front was nice, however after informing him our rooms were not touched. He had no apology. Just that he could bring us new towels. Better, nicer hotels in the area for the same price. Thanks, but no thanks.

Beautiful private beach. The hotel has all the comforts of home. I forgot my toothbrush and they gave me one. Breakfast is great. Beds are comfortable. Pool is great.

Very nice room and love the balconies! Scenery was beautiful and relaxing. The room smelled a little odd but nothing a few candles couldn't fix. Lol. Great staff and amenities!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean with a wonderful view. The pool is well-maintained. One down side, the road noise was very loud. Also crossing the road to get to beach was scary.

My husband and I decided to stay here last minute. We were traveling with our small dog and had to find a room that would accommodate her. We had a wetlands view and the sunset was stunning. The hotel was standard with everything you need. What made it excellent was the staff. Three different employees all went out of their way for us. Very friendly and accommodating. The beach is just a short walk across the street. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the breakfast area was very small!

Not the Hilton. But if you expect the Hilton in St. Augustine, you're doing it wrong. Awesome staff. Good food nearby. Real close to a Publix. Great beach. It's kitchy. It's a bid dated. But its the total experience I wanted from it. I would highly recommend it for a couple of nights. Hot tub rooms available, or take an Oceanside view. Great place. Access via shuttle to all downtown amenities and it spares you the parking fees.

I stayed there with my family on Aug 2015. The staffs were great and friendly. My room and bathroom were clean. The private beach is a major plus. The second floor hallway did have an odor which smelled like wet carpet it's a beach hotel carpet will get wet. We really didn't have any issue and recommended the hotel to friends and families.

Oct 2015, Checked in and checked out early next morning due to horrible odor in lobby, stairs, hallways and room. The staff is great and friendly, but this is The Worst SMELLING hotel ive ever stayed in, room 208. Would rather sleep in a foxhole under fire than spend another hour in this place. Staff gave an ozone machine that only blew air. The carpet is obviously old in building and the a/c in room is in serious need of a cleaning or replacement. Pay the extra money and go somewhere else. I cant wait to check into the next hotel today so we can wash the smell of this place off our clothes and traumatized skin, hair and olfactory cells.
