I was disappointed with the room. It was very small. I reserved a king size bed. I was informed when we checked in that they only have 2 beds in every room. We couldn't move around very good. I was not happy. But the room was clean…

Super accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Reserve early and try to get a room off the road. Traffic does quiet down at night. Mini outside guest grilling and eating area. Bike week and a two queen room only $89 Small fridge and microwave included.

One star not for the hotel but for Google maps that brought me to the corner of North Ponce de Leon Boulevard and King Street where there are two liquor stores on either corner and 1 empty lot on another and an empty building on the 4th corner. Merida Hotel itself is wonderful.

I stayed here for one week on business. The staff here is outstanding. Any problems that you may encounter they fix. I am more than pleased and I would recommend it to friends. Amongst that great location.

I have no idea what the other reviewer was describing but we had a good time here. It is inexpensive and yet close enough to easily get to the historic area. The rooms were clean, the owner was friendly. I would stay here again.

My boyfriend and I came to St. Augustine for a mini-vacation and were looking for somewhere to stay. We saw a sign for a jacuzzi suite and assumed it would be fun and sounded like a good idea since we had been walking all day and could use some relaxation. When we walked up to the office at about 1:30 PM, there was no receptionist and the door was locked. We decided to call and see if it was even open today, when the receptionist answered and claimed she was preoccupied outside. The hotel was rather empty, yet we were still charged about $165 for a room that probably hadn't been used in a few months. When we got into the room, it was far beyond tiny for what we had paid, but we once again figured the jacuzzi would make up for this, but no, it didn't. After cleaning it out ourselves, we starting to fill it up, when we realized dirt and yellow water was coming out of the faucet. After emptying and refilling it a few times, we decided to just suck it up, after all, that's what we came to this hotel for. When we turned the jets on, they immediately started spewing rust water, which continued to pour out until we finally turned them off and got out after being disgusted. As for the room, the shower curtain was hanging off, the comforter had burns in it, the towels were ripped, and the air conditioner was off when the heat index was over 100 degrees.
