I left a cash deposit and was told when I check out, I would get it, no biggie. Well when we check out. The lady who works there that took my deposit, no longer works there. It must have happened over night. The GM and Owner Hussian was extremely rude and just so upset he had to give me any money. 20 minutes later with him fumbling around and talking under his breath, another man came around the corner and said here just take it. Free breakfast is a old bagel with yogurt. Staff was not wearing mask for Covid-19. Carpet in rooms are lifting up. Next time it's Double Tree…

Room was clean and breakfast was great. I never interacted with the front desk because I utilized digital check in. The woman who was in charge of breakfast was delightful!

This was a very nice hotel and we enjoyed our staff. The staff were friendly and accomodating. I was disappointed because I thought it was right in the Historic District, as the name implies, but it is not.

Thank you thank you thank you so much to everyone at this hotel. My girls and I had a Marvelous stay. Every single employee from the front desk, who greeted us coming and going, to the housekeeping staff who made sure that our room was clean and well stocked with toiletries and towels, to the kitchen staff who prepared a different, yet delicious breakfast each morning. Not to mention the freshly prepared hot chocolate chip cookies each evening that we enjoyed. We didn't have any reason to call for maintenance however I did ride the elevator with one who asked if I was enjoying my stay. What a wonderful gesture. The other guest, OMG, so nice and friendly and I'm sure that had a lot to do with the AWESOME atmosphere created by the outstanding hotel staff. To anyone who took the time to read all of this, please know that I highly recommend Hampton Inn St. Augustine-Historic! I can't wait to go back! Best Regards! Melody.

Clean, comfortable hotel with superior staff. Out of town company with a desire to explore St. Augustine prompted us to travel from Jacksonville Beach for a 3-day stay. An excellent choice.

This place has wonderful staff and they were nice and friendly! The staff went above and beyond the call of duty especially these two staff member (Huga James & Angela Garcia). The place was very clean and tidy when we checked in. The breakfast was surprisingly good and had a variety of things like waffles, egg, cereal, bagels ect ect.

Recently renovated. Beautiful rooms. Great staff, very friendly and helpful!

Great stay not as close to historic district as they promote unless you are a power walker or hardcore hiker like me. Wife is not. Driving is quick on weekdays & off season.

Noisy! And not near the historic district. We had a room rated street attention room very noisy! Traffic noise all night a nightmare The hotel is not located near the historical district you have to take the car to get to the place $15 I would not recommend this hotel.

Hampton Inn is always our go-to hotel when we travel, so we naturally booked with HI for our planned 3 night stay in St. Augustine. For the first time we were in for disappointment with our choice. Though the beds were comfortable and the breakfast food was good, the friendly staff was the only other positive. Seating for breakfast was extremely limited. For two of our mornings we sat on a couch with low tables to hold our food and drink. Finally on our third morning we actually got to eat at a table. Another problem was the water pressure and sink. The sink stopper was extremely difficult to access and move. In addition, the water pressure from the faucet was so low that it took almost 10 minutes to get enough water in the sink to shave — and then the water kept leaking out! On the second evening my wife complained about lukewarm water for her shower. She was lucky: when I took my shower after her, I had only cool water. We found out the next morning that the water heater had quit late in the evening — bad luck for anyone turning in late. But that was nothing compared to our last evening. At about 10:15 fire alarms — piercing fire alarms — echoed throughout every room and in the hallways. Thank God we weren't traveling with our dog! The high pitched sirens went on and on for about 15 minutes. Apparently a staff member was baking cookies and an overly sensitive alarm didn't like the heat the oven gave off. It wasn't even burnt cookies.

Got most expensive room because it was the only room left and all hotels in St. Aug. Were booked. They also were 100% booked. Upon arrival room did not smell clean. Notified front desk but he had no other room to move us to. Upon room inspection we found body and head hair in shower, crumbs on window sills, gooey smears on windows, microwave was a mess with dirty dish inside and sheets did not feel clean. (I took pictures) Hotel fire alarm at 6:20AM got every guest out. It was an alarm malfunction. No fire. We finally got to talk to the manager the next morning and he credited us fully for the first night then gave us a discount for the second night. We had to stay one more night so he assured us he would tell housekeeping. About our dirty room and said it would be spotless also with new sheets when housekeeping came. Upon our return many hours later, NOTHING had changed. Disgusting! This place is no where near the Historic district. In all my years traveling staying only at top hotels or Hampton Inns, I have never experienced such a dirty Hampton inn or any other accommodation as bad as this place.

This hotel sits right on a busy highway with traffic noise most of the night, including an occasional freight train on the other side of the highway. It took forever for water to get hot. Additionally It's not IN the historic district but on the perimeter. To be fair, the place is attractive, modern, and clean.

What a great place to stay! Nice complementary breakfast, comfy beds, clean, good attention. Just nice all around. Would stay there in a heart beat!

We stayed for three nights while in St. Augustine. On the second day we returned from our sightseeing in the evening and our room was not done up. We had left at about 9:30 AM that morning and removed the do not disturb sign. When we called the front desk they asked several questions trying to find a way to steer the blame toward us. So the final excuse was that the housekeeping got done early that day and went home before 9:30 so there was no one to make up the room. We did manage to get fresh towels. Also a bunch of coffee, shampoo, mouthwash, body lotion conditioner and other things we did not need. (A bottle of water or soda would have been nicer, or some warm cookies. ) I remember that at other Hamptons they always had warm cookies when you checked in. There were none to be had here. Someone else asked and the desk clerk said that she will put some in the oven in about 1/2 hour. The rooms were small and I could have used an additional pillow. Also the beds were on the hard side. The self check in on-line was not useful at all for selecting your room as the map was stuck on one floor and a small section of that floor so you could not see where the other rooms were. The one they assigned me was next to the ice machine so I did change it. The woman at the front desk when we checked in was excellent, but she needed help. A man did come out from the backroom to help her answer questions from the person in front of us. But left and left us hanging in line.

Wonderful hotel. Stayed during nights of lights and could t have been happier with the choice. Good breakfast and clean rooms and bathrooms. We didn't use the pool but we didn't have the desire too, it was still in pristine condition and nice to sit by at night.

We stayed overnight and enjoyed our stay vey much. Room was clean and quiet. Pillows could be a little firmer (so flat felt like I was sleeping on the bed itself). The morning breakfast was just enough — though could have a little more hot food. They have hot right out of the oven cookies at night. And when you check out, they give you a complimentary bag of water. Will definitely be back if we're ever back in this area!

The staff was great. My aunt accidentally left money on the bed and nobody touched it. Clean, well maintained, and good breakfast bar. Highly recommend!

Great stay with ample free parking. Rooms look to be recently remodeled. Close to downtown. Great breakfast.

Small room, tub has holes that have been patched. Not up to Hilton standards. Although small room means good air conditioning!

Best place we stayed on our week-long trip. Friendly staff. Had a clean room that looked really nice with a powerful air conditioner and a soft bed. Cookies downstairs at all times. Best hotel breakfast we have had. Caramel and chocolate sauce for the waffles? Yes, please. The price was a little higher than others in the area but worth it. Just a short drive from the fort and the downtown area.

Great staff… really kind and helpful. Comfy beds. Decent breakfast. Close to town and attractions. But hotel is transitioning decor in rooms and the effect is not visually pleasant.

The hotel interior was updated/modern and not to far a walk from downtown. The parking wasn't horrible but could be a bit better. Good for price and amenities.

This was one of the nicest Hamptons I've been too. I always love the conveniences. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are so great. The beds and the breakfasts are the absolute best. This Hampton also had fresh coffee all day and fresh fruit in the lobby. Which I had not experienced before. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made us feel like family. The hotel was in an ideal location. Very close tho beach and historic district. We had no complaints at all except the drains in the bathroom we're a little slow.

I am usually a Hampton Inn fan but was surprised by the cavalier attitude about security at this one. I posted a picture of the back entrance door where no key was necessary for entry since the lock mechanism was broken so duct taped open. The front desk employee (when I asked about the wisdom of having an open entry) said it "is a safe neighborhood so not a problem). She offered to remove the tape but told me later she couldn't as it would make repair difficult. I worried more for the safety of the front desk employee that she assured me would be there 24/7. At least we could lock our door!

My friends and I stayed at the Hampton Inn recently for my friends birthday weekend. It was a VERY pleasant experience. The rooms are very clean and the staff is extremely accommodating. If you ever have questions about the area, the employees at the front desk have the answers. We visited on a busy weekend when it was difficult to find transportation into town, however, Sean at the front desk jumped into action and was able to find us an affordable taxi within minutes. I will most definitely be booking my next stay here.

This hotel has the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The room was awesome. The staff friendly. The one desk clerk, Sean, could be a concierge at a 5 star hotel in NY. He was SO knowledgeable and helpful. The pool was clean, location was great, and it was all around an enjoyable stat. I will definitely come back!

Absolutely perfect! The suite was amazing and the staff went above and beyond. Would most definitely stay here again.

Very cozy and compact good for a small family or couple.

I do not typically write terrible reviews but my experience with this hotel has deemed it necessary to warn everyone. I stayed at this hotel last weekend and for the first time in 24 years of my life, I got lice. My friend also had bites on her legs. I have since tried to contact a manager several times, leaving recorded messages just to ensure that they were aware but, have gotten no response. I am a student in a distance learning program and travel frequently to the area with other students. I can guarantee that we will not be back… the saddest part of all of that is the lack of response from the Days Inn makes me believe that they do not really care if we do, anyways. Also I am not certain whether it was a flaw in the hotel communication or of the Grand Resort Travel Club but, upon calling and inquiring about the reduced rate for members of the GRTC I was given a rate that was higher than the rate set by the hotel.

Rooms are clean but the sounds from the outside do come in through the windows. The workout room is basic sand useful and the limited equipment is in good condition.

I would rate this a negative — 5 stars! Lousy rates! Crappy Manager! Maybe one of the employees can step up and be the Manager! I spoke to the Manager he seemed disengaged and did not care to address the issues. To stay there with Military discount for 7 hours $132.00! I guess someone has to help pay the light bill! If I where you I would stay at the Best Western next door at least the rates and employees are better there!

Location was very close to the historical district, although a car is required as it is a little less than a mile away from the action, and located on a main road. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

We stayed there for only one night recently, on our way further south. We had not made reservations for that night so we could just stop when we wanted to. I made the reservation while on the road in the car, after we decided to spend the night in St. Augustine. We were looking forward to being in the historic district for the evening, where we could simply walk out the door and access the food, night life, etc. ; well, I should have done more homework! The hotel was not my first choice, but rooms were available. And, it was okay… a small, clean room to sleep in… and the lady at the desk was nice. But, it was definitely overpriced and I felt duped. I was willing to pay the rate, thinking it was in the "historic district. " Only, it wasn't. The lady on the desk said that, "technically" it is. Trust me, no one will walk from there to anything in the actual historic district at the end of a long day on the road. We even drove to a restaurant. As I said, the hotel is okay, and the staff is nice, but don't stay here if your goal is to be in the historic district. Judy Jordan.
