A great deal for the price. Right across the road from the beach and pier. Right next door to the Salt Life Food Shack. Clean rooms. Quiet. Room 200 is most private and away from road.

Convenient hotel across the street from the beach, next to Salt Life Food Shack. $165.00 is too much to pay for a Super 8. Room was clean, toilet was not secure and restroom had a few black nats. Oh and other patrons are particular about parking in front of their room so much that when we politely asked a woman to move so we could park, she said no, lit a cigarette, and sat in the parking lot in her lounge pants… very classy for St. Augustine.

Great hotel for a quick stay! It was nice that the pool area did not close! Kids enjoyed it, so I definitely enjoyed it!

It is super close to the beach. It's right next to food, and a little shop. With many more amenities close by.

Place is OK. Felt safe, but place is a little fun down. When we got there. Room smelt damp and moldy. Figure has been flooded in the past, Recomend request 2nd floor room if you stay here. Also no phone in room which we thought was a little odd. If you stay here, recommend check out room before you get settled to make sure its clean to your liking. Restaurant next door. Can walk to, good for drinks, but Seafood Shack a mile don the road has better food. Basically if you stay here don't expect to much but a place to sleep for short money.

The motel is a little cheap but that was expected in the price. The TV had image burn in and there was no chain lock on the door. Simple brekefast was included and that was appreciated.

Great value on St. Augustine Beach. It’s not fancy, the place is dated, and the breakfast is simple but you should really expect that going in. What it is, then, is a great rate for a very convenient location. You can easily walk across the street to the pier to catch the sunrise. And of course the beach is right there. There are food options, albeit not many, within walking distance. The park where the pier is at also has volleyball courts that were lit up until 9 or 10pm.

Clean, roomy, yet older motel. Very personable hostess at check-in. Reasonably priced. Will definitely stay in on next visit to area. Will recommend to friends travelling in area.

Stayed there due to good price and location from long drive. Got woken up by neighbour because of a fire. No fire alarms went off brought this to their attention only to get no answer and even though we got to spend less then 6 hours in our room no refund or discount was offered.

Room smelled bad. Like feet and BO. Even after running the air conditioning, the smell wouldn't go away. The continental breakfast was great, if you only like cereal and coffee. Not a beachfront hotel. There's a gigantic building between the Super 8 and the beach. Not staying there again.

We’ve stayed at this motel several times, and it’s ok. The price is very good for a location right across the street from the beach, and people will continue to stay here because of the location. But I have to write a review this time because of the desk clerk. Her name tag says “Sue”, but I’m sure that’s an Americanized adaptation, as she appears to be Indian or middle-eastern. She has been here every time We have stayed here, She is the most condescending person I’ve ever seen in a public business. It has always been bad, but yesterday took the cake. The poor guest in front of me had a tiny little utility trailer behind his car and he very politely asked her where would be the best place to park. Well, Sue rolled her eyes and proceeded to tell him they were sold out for the night and that she had no idea how he would be able to park there. He said, “Well, I’ll just cancel the reservation then”, and he left. Early this morning, I woke up to find there were no coffee packets for the in-room coffee maker, so I walked out to a parking lot with PLENTY of empty parking places that could have easily accommodated the gentleman’s car and trailer who left, in spite of a trashy-looking leased semi trailer storage pod that takes up 5 parking spots right in the middle of the parking lot! So I entered the office to find “Sue” behind the counter and asked her if I could have a couple of coffee packets for my room.

Room smelled. Police presence with other patrons 2 of our 3 nights. Owner was not friendly.

Fantastic place to stay, the pier nearby is a must see and there are tons of local restaurants nearby that are amazing! Rooms are clean and well maintained, staff is super friendly and I'd gladly recommend this place to anyone.

Just stayed there this weeekend to enjoy the fireworks on the beach. The room was dark, small and dirty The staff was not helpful or friendly. The towels were small and very rough. The only nice thing I can say is the location is great, and the price is good We will not stay there again.

The bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress sunk in and you could feel the springs in the center, if not for that I would have given 4 stars! The room has an old smell, with the fixtures in the bathroom rusted and the door didn't close all the way, with the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator not being expensive, they should be replaced as soon as there appearance seem to question rather they are sanitized, they wasn't working properly but they got the intended job done! The wall paint could use some touching up but with that being said they were clean, also the floors, carpets and linens were clean and in good condition, the artwork was tasteful… and there wasn't any outside noise! The cable, internet and television worked fine and there wasn't any problems with the room lock!

Great location, walking distance to everything you need. Only if you want bottom floor better ask for it when make reservations. If you ask when get there it does not happen even if you stay more than 2 days.

All in all it was a fairly nice hotel. Reasonably priced considering it is walking distance from the beach. If you are looking for something luxurious this is not the motel for you. If you want affordability it definitely is. The rooms were clean for the most part minus the mini fridge. Air worked great and shower pressure was good but didn't get very hot. The pool was clean and fairly nice kind of cold but that is more attributed to the whether. I would probably go back or is worth the price.

Great location, within walking distance to the beach. Close enough to town, but far enough to be away from the heavy traffic. Nice rooms. Internet problem, but the friendly staff worked to rectify the issues. Good value.

Very nice location. Beds were decent, breakfast was awful, water tastes horrible in room, and lady at front desk is very confusing. Was given 3 different prices for 1 night. When I checked out, the final price was less than all 3 given to me the day before. Overall, guess I can't complain. Still wouldn't be my 1st choice for future visits.

The location is great. I saw a roach in the room. It's FL and this kind of thing is hard to control, especially after bad storms like the hurricane that just came through. The manager, possibly the owner too, Sue, was not very friendly. No smile. No positive attitude. Just kind of a sign here and get the hell away from me vibe. The room had a "remodel" but I use that term loosely. It was clearly done at the cheapest price point by the lowest bidder. The staff doesn't respect the Do Not Distrurb sign which went up 10 min after checking in. Yesterday morning, the cleaning person knocked loudly yelling "housekeeping" and woke me up. I left some towels on the floor in my bathroom and a wash cloth on the sink before heading out for part of the day and when I came back, they were gone. I really don't want people in my room while I am gone, hence the DND sign. If it wasn't for that, I would give at least 3 stars because otherwise, it was a decent room for the price and location.

Very accommodating and worked with us to get our larger vehicle a place to park. Have us many suggestions to places to see and things to do. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Would definitely go back.

Location is great! Hotel is dated but our room was clean. Pool is small and great for kids. Salt Life Restaurant is next door and was great.

Do not stay here! I would give this place zero stars! The room was large, but dimly lit and the water in the room tasted horrible. Carpet was dirty. Something had been spilled on the blanket and looked like it had not been washed. The breakfast was all toast, yogurt, waffles and cereal. No fruit, no water, and very sweet juices. The first night I had ants that came up the drain. I was told it was because of the rain and how wet it was. Mosquitoes were in the bathroom daily, killed about six. Then I woke to find bed bugs crawling on the sheets toward me. I must have killed 5 and they were even on the bed I didn't sleep in. I had been bitten over night. I was to stay two more days, but immediately checked out and demanded a refund for at least one night. Never again… Great location, but needs updated and thoroughly cleaned.

The room was nice. The staff could have been friendlier. The breakfast was a little disappointing but overall, our stay was enjoyable.

It's not a super great hotel, with a very small pool. However it's all about location. St. Augustine beach, which is located 5 mins away (by walk) is one of, if not the best beach I've ever been too in Florida. It's got fine powder white sand and the water is great. Not to mention that really Misty for you get in the late evening and early morning. This hotel isn't great, but if you just want something affordable to get to visit that amaing beach, then this is perfect!

The location is great for being right across from the beach, yet close enough to the downtown village. The rooms are simple but cozy. The Free breakfast is a joke, nothing more then cereal, toast and muffins and a staff that sleeps on the sofa while things don't get cleaned up or restocked to feed the guests!

Location location location… other than that the room smells like straight cats… cat pee or whatever… Idk, I had gotten some air freshener to help. The beach and pier are right across the street. Defiantly easy access. There is a restaurant in the same parking lot. Very convenient location.

I hated this hotel so much. The breakfast was horrible and had very little options, and the Wi-Fi was unbearable. Very loud and annoying guests but no one ever did anything.

People are going to pay an outrageous rate to be across the street from the ocean regardless and receive a dull unattractive room without Wi-Fi. When I addressed the Wi-Fi issue the person at the desk would not take responsibility and said it was a firewall. I have stay in a lot of hotels and never had this problem. I was told to talk to the manager in the morning. The manager was M. I. A.

We spent four nights at the Super 8 in St Augustine Beach, Florida. Easy walk to the beach! Easy walk to restaurants and spirits. Their pool was nice but no hot tub as advertised. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean, and the room rates were good. We will stay here again. Thank you for a great place to stay on our vacation!

Decent hotel. Very close to the beach. Unlike other reviews, I had no issues with the management. Fair warning, they do not do late check-out.

We had stayed here a few years ago but only remembered when we got to the room. We had a good rate, which is really all we were hoping for. It's all we got, too. First, our "non-smoking" room smelled like a cigar lounge. The only other rooms were upstairs, and we needed to stay on the ground floor. The beds were pretty good but the pillows were square and hard. It was like trying to sleep on a giant marshmallow. I got a travel pillow from the car, otherwise, I'd never have gotten to sleep. Breakfast was okay, basic, but okay. We wish we had paid a few bucks more and stayed elsewhere, and we would recommend that you do too.

You get what you pay for. Cheap hotel, no great amenities. I chose to chance it because it was a few minutes walk to the beach and it had a pool. The room was ok. Definitely worn. It was non-smoking but there were holes in the blankets and you could smell smoke in the pillows from time-to-time. The ac wasn't great, barely adequate. The dresser smelled terrible and the all the compartments on the door of the fridge were broken off. Wifi is horrible! We did not have an ironing board but there was a washer and dryer that cost $2.00 a piece available. The carpet was definitely needing a steam clean. Overall, it was quiet. Pool was small but nice. Breakfast is not what I call a breakfast unless you like processed crap food. Salt life is next door and it's within walking distance of some other places to eat and get ice cream. The front desk staff was okay. Friendly enough. Most of the housekeeping staff was as well. Long and short, it was decent.

It's a simple no frills inexpensive place to stay. The location is great. Food is close by and the beach is just across the street.

Was very skeptical at first and actually wanted to change to another hotel after reading the reviews! (Which is supposed to help others get a good idea of the place). Glad we didn't change places. The room was very clean. (Carpets could use a good cleaning) but not gross. Beds were very comfortable, better than most. Customer service at check in was ok, she must have had been really busy. But ok. It is walking distance to beach access. The splash pad was out dated. But it's right by the pier. Literally took maybe 3 minutes to get there. Room service came in the morning, we were not ready when they showed. They showed back up to see if we needed anything or take anything. We left for the day and when we came back the room was completely cleaned and beds were made. The salt life restaurant is right next door. They do play music and it came be loud, but didn't bother us when we were in the room. Overall very nice amd would stay again!

Girlfriend and I have stayed here three separate times, in different rooms, over the past two years and every experience has been awesome, hands down. Originally came here on a whim for a two day get away, and ended up coming back to stay for a week at a time. Rooms Are Kept Clean. Hotel's Location pretty much gives you the best of both worlds. Pull out left when you leave and you are a few miles from downtown which is beautiful but gets busy. Turn right and you have all of St. Augustine Beach to experience. The beach is right across the street, which has a pier that delves a couple hundred feet into the ocean. Traveled all over St. Augustine and the beach here is one of the cleanest and largest… Salt Life Bar & Grill across parking lot. The family that runs this place is well aware of how great the location is and from what I've witnessed keeps it up to par. Warm people and professional, and the other guests staying here were low key and friendly. Can't go wrong here and its a STEAL for the price.

I should give no star in this hotel. It may be inexpensive but it definitely not worth staying in this hotel. The room smell so bad and the floor seems like hasn't been clean. I like to walk bare feet when im in the hotel but after just a few minutes my feet is so dirty and itchy. It smells all the time. The breakfast was just coffee, waffle and toast bread. Nothing special… don't stay in this hotel.

The lady at the desk would not give us a receipt for our cash payment when checking in. They took our credit card number for backup and told us we could pick up our receipt in the morning when we checked out. In the morning when we went to check out there was no one in the office. We waited and no one came. We eventually had to leave. When we got home and got our bank statement, there were the charges for the room on it. We called the office and were told they had no record of us staying at their hotel even though their address was on our bank statement. We have filed a complaint with our bank and and we have contacted the Better Business Bureau to file a complaint. We will be calling the Corporate Office to file a complaint. Insist on getting a receipt if you are paying cash the night you check in. You will be paying double if you don't! This review is posted from my son in laws computer/email.

It was alright. They advertise hot tub but there's no hot tub. Room okay size. Check in was quick. Mini fridge and 32_ inch TV Low storage space.

Very clean and comfortable beds which is what I look for in these type of places. We checked in pretty late, around midnight and checked out at noon. The check in took about 5 min and check out was 2 seconds. It's a bit far from the city but it takes 5 to 10 min driving.

Compared to some of the other hotels at this rate it's pretty nice.

I would not stay in this hotel. It may be inexpensive now, but wait a few weeks when the exterminator hands you a bill for $700 to get rid of the bedbugs you picked up from their like my family did.

Stayed one night. Room was adequate for sleeping and showering. Remote didn't work. Sliding door that had access to the parking lot was broken, so I had to drag luggage around a corner and down a hallway. The Wi-Fi was crappy, in fact, I couldn't even get online. It was two in the morning and I kept getting a message that the maximum number of users were logged in. Construction workers here hammering outside our door at eight in the morning. Otherwise, it was clean and I got a good night's rest there.

Got a room for 2 nights for a decent price ($70 a night). Staff was friendly but they neglected to tell us that their hot tub and pool was out of commission for our stay on their website. The room and bathroom was clean. The location is good being across the street from the beach and right next to a great restaurant.

Good value for location/beach access. Front desk noticeably stressed when inundated with number of guests during check-in.

Absolute life savers. Came to this family own hotel after having to cancel on another hotel which everything about it was horrifying. The super 8 on the other hand had everything going good, clean, Wi-Fi super fast and working, fridge and breakfast which the other hotel did not have and waaaay cheaper too. Also they were super honest with us, so I have to say thank you.

BAD MANAGEMENT BEHAVIOR! The room and equipment was ok, given the low price per night we paid. But the managers approach to customer service is irritating. We asked that we would appreciate if the room could be cleaned prior 1pm allowing our little ones to nap. No not possible as they have a strict cleaning plan. We then asked nicely a cleaning personnel, who immediately said that it is no problem. The manager saw it and debated with the cleaning person (mmhh, ok). Finally they did clean the room. At checkbout we asked if we could spend a bit at the pool before we leave for a longer trip (with our small kids), the answer: "No, after checkout you are not a customer anymore". Don't worry we will never be your customer again.

The location is great, right across the street from the beach and just a short distance from downtown St Augustine and attractions. The rooms are well equipped and in five condition. It's upsetting that housekeeping came into our room and took our dirty linens without replacing them and never even cleaned our room during our stay. We had to chase down new towels and even though we went directly to housekeeping to let them know our room needed and was ready to be done they never did it. Breakfast is offered and includes coffee, Apple juice (orange juice was "out of order"), 2 cereals, oatmeal, muffins and toast. The pool seemed a bit cloudy to me but I'm not sure if I'm being too picky about that. I'm picky about what I swim in and was just a little on edge about the water quality. Should also note that we lost our key (our fault) and when we went to get a replacement no one was at the desk. After about 10 minutes we found someone and got everything handled. All in all the motel is just as the reviews I read indicated :you get what you pay for. Fine place for a very good price.

I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by this place especially when considering the price. I picked this location because of the proximity of the beach and park all within walking distance. What I did not realize was there was a gas station and a few restaurants located also within walking distance which was great for dinner. The rooms were clean, no real problems, but I will say that the breakfast in the morning was very lacking. Maybe I shouldn't complain considering it is a free meal, but I guess I just expect a little more. Overall, when I come back to St. Augustine if they can get these same prices, I will come back here.
