You have to pay for parking $15 a day and they don't tell you that in advance when making reservations. You have to ask for continental breakfast which is not included but you may add it for an additional fee and for a hotel that is really nice they do not have a guest laundry room so I was very disappointed when I got here. They also hold $50 on your credit or debit card so if you're on a budget forget about it if you wasn't prepared for suprises.

Was our first time staying here and would highly recommend it. We stayed on a game weekend, the valet parking is a life saver, also a great location only minutes away from Doak.
The room service and menu was great as well after returning from the game made it easy to relax while dinner was brought to our room.

The hotel itself is in a very good location near the state capitol. The rooms were strangely decorated but clean and functional. The staff were friendly and helpful. However there are some renovations undergoing near the top floors and every morning very early you wake up by some drills. You feel like you are at construction site. All-in-all a good hotel despite the noise.

I came here for a friends wedding, Parking was okay, banquet staff was pleasant, bar staff was wonderful and food was good. The hotel was clean and tidy. Double tree did a wonderful job putting the finishing touches on my friends wedding. It was a good time.

Had A Chance to host our Church of Christ statewide Lectureship here this year. Although still under construction the place was Beautiful. Awesome Service. Loved it!

I was here for a wedding this past weekend. The staff itself was very friendly but the hotel, as a business, was very unprofessional and unprepared. The event coordinator had a family emergency and could not make it to the rehearsal. That was inconvenient but completely understandable. But the fact that no one else at the hotel was made aware of the situation and that they had NO ONE there that could assist us is not. Not a single person knew anything. We basically figured the whole thing out ourselves. And the day of the wedding, the groom and us groomsman were running around making sure that things were set up the way that the bride had clearly written down and had discussed with the event planner. And again, the event planner was not there (again understandable) but did not communicate with the hotel properly to make sure that we had everything that we needed. The staff that was there was extremely friendly and tried very hard, but honestly, they are just not very good at these types of things. They lacked the attention to detail that one would expect when hosting a wedding. Not a knock on them at all. They worked very hard. But I think that they could use a bit more training on hosting weddings and large events. If the father of the bride hadn't spent so much money for this wedding, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. But he did, and it is.

Stayed here for a wedding. Room was nice, all the necessities were there. Nice bed, pillows soft and dreamy. We had breakfast and lunch in the restaurant and both times were excellent. Their grits were so good! The wedding rehearsal dinner was catered in one of their large rooms, and the food was great.

Had issues with a teen camp staying at the hotel. Dealt with loud noise, kids running and screaming in the halls, doors slamming so hard the walls shook (counted 30 times were m a 30 minute period). Attempted to take care of the issue myself. When it wasn’t resolved I called the front desk and was told there wasn’t much they could do and the noise should settle down in a half hour. It continued until 10:30 pm. Glad I didn’t have small children trying to sleep but it was apparent the staff didn’t care about the other guests.

Great location, hotel staff super friendly. The interior Art Deco design is Cool and was unexpected. The restaurant had a great meal that night and our server very, very good and the breakfast staff was super nice. Even the transportation drivers were like hand picked from Mayberry! The room super clean and the bed comfortable. I will definitely will go back.

I selected this hotel only because it advertised a Starbucks on its location. Upon my arrival on a Monday (Memorial Day) I was informed that it was closed Monday and was going to be closed the following day Tuesday. I would have selected a hotel closer to the location of my meeting Tuesday morning and in addition one that included free breakfast. I was disappointed. The hotel is a bit dated but the room was very clean. The light as you enter the room did not work properly and left the room dim overall. There were 3 lamps in the room. Parking was $15 a night. I have to say the room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. I did not eat here as the selections were pricey and we had a car.

Rooms are just ok and that goes the same for their front staff that is more interested in chatting amongst themselves than getting to you. The recently renovated rooms are tacky and they only have “one suite” according to the staff when we wanted to pay for an upgraded room, which was unavailable. I’m sure they have more than one suite in a hotel this size. Our three day stay was less than expected. Not worth the “free cookie”. It is a convenient location and within walking distance of some good restaurants.

Also gorgeous decor. When my wife and I arrived for a late check-in after an incredibly love g day of travel the over night front desk service was outstanding. Despite the clientele of the hotel attracting straight, wealthy white people who couldn't stop staring and whispering at a same sex married couple the hotel decor, atmosphere and staff made our stay peaceful and welcoming.

Nice looking lobby. Desk clerk and valet were courteous. I just went in to ask questions about employment there. They told me they were one of the busiest hotels in Tallahassee. They are in the process of adding a bar/restaurant on top of the existing hotel.

Great location but the room was a little small. They had clearly done a recent renovation. The furniture was nice but didn't fit well. Additionally, the TV was small. Overall it was comfortable, clean, and a nice night.

I managed to get a really good deal on Easter Sunday through Priceline about half of the normal going rate. The hotel is interesting I'll tell you that. It's right in the middle of downtown. Being a holiday though there was nothing to do around there. The hotel has some outdated decor (kind of tacky if you ask me), but it's all about location here. The room was very clean and had a window overlooking the Bankruptcy Court which is a beautiful building. I had some noisy neighbors at one point that I could hear through the walls, but they settled down and I ended up having a nice night of sleep in a comfortable bed. Pros: cleanliness, staff friendly, nice location and view. Cons: parking is extra unless you park on the street overnight, walls are thin, Starbucks in the lobby was not open in the morning even though the sign said they would be.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful room, quiet tree lined street, free cookies, nice staff. Only downside was the parking garage was a horrible design for bigger cars and no bathtub in the room.

This is easily one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The people at the front desk answer their phones instantly. You get whatever you ask for in about 5 minutes or less. You get as many cold complimentary waters as you want. It’s also right next to all the best bars. Great showers with cold and hot water. I’m actually mind blown that a hotel this good exists. For anyone looking to stay hydrated and be treated like royalty on their trip this is the spot.

Business trip. Love staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton. Great staff and rooms. Jacobs Bar and their staff are the best. We are always treated very well and expect to return again and again.

It is a pretty expensive upscale place right at the downtown of Tallahassee. The rooms are very spacious, always clean and beautiful. Not sure that you will have a good view though. The restaurant inside the hotel is pretty fancy. The quality of good there is definitely not bad, but I am not sure it justifies the price.

Fridge does not work. Sink in bathroom sprays water everywhere. No place to hang towels in bathroom… they remodeled a few years ago & the place looks like a vomit of all types of design styles. But one positive is it is so close to the capital — walking distance.

Nice, clean room. Hallway a little noisy, slamming of doors. Toilet ran constantly during our stay. I spoke to the front desk twice, but it was never fixed. At times quite loud flushing sounds at night from it running. The restaurant on premises had posted hours, but never seemed to be open at lunch. That was troublesome. They do hand you a great cookie at check in. Cleaning staff were always friendly. The hotel was very clean and located in the business area.

Great location for our event. Decor is a bit "shocking". Sort of Disney meets Vegas… Unfortunately our bathroom was NOT clean when we arrived and we used our own Clorox wipes to clean off various surfaces. Although when we commented at checkout they did discount our room 50% so that definitely made up for it.

Terrible customer service! Went and booked a Room with one of the best packages that they have was willing to pay for what I got. But when there was an issue with the card instead of taking $500 cash when the Room was only $200 they told me I could go down the street to the Motel 8… this is after I got the ok with a manager the day I booked to use the cash as long as they have a card on File and they wouldn't swipe my card… then got told the night I came that I couldn't and that there wasn't a manager in! My fiance birthday down the drain because of these people who can't their stuck up people at the front desk in line.

Hotel was nice, but the decor was a little odd for my liking. Very much an Addams-esque touch. The rooms were a bit nicer than the actual halls of the hotel. The elevators were weird since there was only a button at the far side of the hall. Overall, it was a nice hotel, and I enjoyed my stay.

It's okay. Looks nice from the outside, but it definitely is a little older. Also, I'm not sure which one, but whoever typically answer the front desk phone at night is rude. She kept cutting me off before I finished my sentences to answer. Not really something you'd want to do with a guest, especially a rewards member. All in all I'd consistently choose the ALoft down the street over this given my experience this stay. Stayed Sun — Fri.

Newly renovated lobby that's very stylish and nice. Rooms don't match first impression, they're not newly renovated, paper thin walls so could hear lots of noises through the night. Bathroom was pretty small even with just two of us staying in a king room. Carpet a bit dirty but nice view we had from 14th floor. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel in downtown Tallahassee. We rented 4 rooms for our wedding party and was surprised that we had to pay $15 a car for parking on top of the rooms. The service was good and the hotel restaurant had a full breakfast Buffet for about $18 per person but we were able to get coupons for free breakfast on the Hilton Honors. The location was nice and the views from the room. The park just outside was nice and had Christmas light in the trees. Again, expect to pay for parking, there is none at the hotel or close by.

Hotel is undergoing a remodel. Rooms were quite nice however the construction started at 9am, even on the weekends, and was quite loud. Service for the most part was good. We were staying at the hotel for a wedding, also at the hotel. Saturday evening the hotel closed the bar early and turned away business for no real reason. They do offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport which was great.

The people were amazing. They were so nice and offered everything. The bed was comfy. But the bathroom was too small.

Awesome staff. The room was really comfortable with great amenities. The only downside to the entire property that I could see was that there was no refrigerator in the room, so long-term guests may be frustrated by that.

Stepping into the lobby will take your breathe away! It's gorgeous. The rooms were beautiful and the service was great. Not to mention the famous cookies that are given to you by the front desk … Wow!

I stay here for 2 weeks every summer and each year I am always impressed with the hotel itself but most importantly the customer service. "Things" happen at hotels all the time, but it is how they handle those situations that make the hotel stand out. This hotel staff is always kind and helpful, and have always treated their guests with respect. This is a great hotel!

We are staying in one of the refurbished rooms, they are doing a great job of bringing the rooms up to date. Rooms are on the smaller side, but still enough room. Location is awesome. Pool is small with a very large patio area. Nice room service selection at a reasonable price. Valet parking is only $3 more than self-parking. Very clean hotel with a very friendly staff.

Beautiful Hotel great location on Florida State Campus! Clean, fast check in and check out. Starbucks on site, easy parking. Small pool but clean and quite. Nice size rooms exercise room perfect for a quick workout. My first impression upon entering the lobby of this hotel was… WOW! This is different. The lobby reminded me of a European hotel and the decor throughout the hotel was interesting to say the least. The person at the front desk gave me a room away from the elevator because she knew I was tired and wanted quiet. The room was very comfortable, had its own interesting furnishings, a mix between European and Art Deco. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was well supplied and great shower. Nice dining room and bar area. Kudos to Catherine and Natalie at check out time for their great attitude which brings customers back again next time they are in town.

We attended a social dinner event at the DoubleTree. The food was great as was the service. Great staff! Very friendly and attentive. The suite we were in had very nice decor and lighting. Highly recommend!

We stayed there last weekend, Friday and Saturday. I was very disappointed. It was extremely loud all night long. I felt like we were booked in a room between a bunch of teenagers opening and closing the doors all night. We got room service which was quick and good as well as reasonably priced. We parked on the street and had no problems. I would never stay there again.

Room is nice. Usually when I check in they give me details around the amenities but I didn't get that. So not sure where pool is or fitness center is. Also didn't know they had a restaurant. Hopefully next time it will be better. Staying for 5 weeks for work.

… I should've stayed at a Hilton sooner. Beautiful lobby. The customer service was perfect. We got warm fresh cookies at check in and coupons for the restaurant. The room was clean. Great view of the park. Best hotel breakfast I've ever had.

The decor is beautiful. It is nothing like I have ever seen in a hotel before. The mirors, drapery, pool, everything was beautiful. The staff were very nice and professional. The hotel was very clean I did not like that the bathroom was super small, when you open the door, it hit the bathtub. One person only in this restroom. I did not like that there was no vent in the bathroom. So when you yake a shower, the steam has everything soaking wet. The closet is extremely small also, I could just bearly get my bag inside the closet. The bed was ok, better than nost but not as comfy as the Marriott beds. The complementary warm cookies were great! Over all a great experience.

From family staying here: *Knock on bedroom door* Hilton employee: Ya'll checking out? Us: Yes. You know this room wasn't cleaned yesterday? Them: Okay. Us: No apology? Them: No. *Leaves* Also, valet brought wrong car. Twice. The same wrong car both times.

The waiting staff was beyond amazing. They were hard at work and were extremely polite. We always enjoy spending time with the staff during our weekend at the Doubletree.

First off be aware they are having problems with their accounting system. Stayed there at Christmas time and they double billed from my account today… this was after they screwed up the charges in December… they have double talked and lied to us all day about what happened, and when they would credit our account back. We reserved a block of rooms for a wedding and they screwed that up. The rooms are old and dated and quite honestly not very clean. I don't know if this is Hilton problem or local poor management but please look somewhere else and avoid a not very pleasant stay.

The rooms were adequate, the restaurant on property is very well maintained, and the building looks great. The housekeeping staff neglected to clean two of our rooms, and the day after we called the front desk to complain about it, they set a 6am alarm in our bedroom to get back at US for THEIR mistake! Housekeeping also came around before 10am New Years Day cleaning the room next to ours and singing loud enough to wake us up. I come to hotels to sleep in them and the housekeeping staff here did a great job of preventing me from that.

Building and decor is a bit dated, it smelled funky possibly due to renovations, comfortable bed, great location in vicinity of downtown restaurants and bars, staff was friendly and promptly got us checked in. Parking on site is 8 bucks extra. Breakfast was great at the lobby restaurant.

Had a bad experiance at this hotel. First off, stayed there so my kids can use the pool, but it was under construction. Then I find out that I have to pay for Wi-Fi. My night light in the room was flickering so I called maintanence to shut it off, and the toilet in the room had no vent in it! The hotel room was just big enough for the two queen size beds in it. But when I stood in the Homewood suits the room was 20 bucks less and it had a kitchen, living room, and a private bedroom!

The Doubletree Hotel is clean, and the rooms are huge! The staff is friendly and very accommodating. It's in a great location and is the perfect spot for a weekend trip to Tallahassee during football season. Call now to book your room!

Spent the weekend there with my family — for my daughters graduation. Everyone was super nice. The rooms were AWESOME! Loved the beds. Felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The shower in our bathroom was great — lots of pressure and plenty of hot water. (for 3 people) that's always a plus in my book. I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone.

Awful hotel. Aside from the inconsiderate construction and times they chose to do the construction, the staff is full of a blend of inexperienced teens who don't know what they're doing and elderly folks who are kinda grumpy and set in their ways. The room walls were thin enough that you could hear people having a casual conversation on the room next to you. The theme of the hotel was inconsistent throughout. You couldn't tell if you had walked into a new hotel when going between sections of the lobby. The pillows were filled with air, because you needed at least 4 of them to somewhat support your head. We had an experience where the fire alarm went off at 1:30 am, and the staff panicked. It took myself and a couple other guests to calm down the kid at the front desk so the organization of calling the fire department and getting guests out could commence. Turns out the elevator brakes were going out and they smoked an entire floor out. The staff was unable to identify the issue and was about to let everyone go back to their rooms using the faulty elevator because they thought it was a false alarm. A guest had to point out to the staff member that it wasn't a false alarm and smoke was visible on one of the floors. The heating to the water pipes was faulty as well. The water would go back and forth from cold to hot every 15 seconds or so.

As I write this review I am in the second day of trying to get help with a very simple problem. I asked for laundry services. Instead I got dry cleaning. This is a big deal for me because I am allergic to the chemicals in dry cleaning. The hotel suggested that the clothes be returned for laundering. I was promised that the clothes would be in my room at 5 p. M. At 5 p. M. No clothes. I called down and the clothes had been sitting at the front desk. The clothes arrived with a big ticket saying dry cleaning and the smell of dry cleaning. I called down to guest services where I spoke to an excessively chipper woman who says yes to everything and then does nothing. I asked that she take an hour to see what she could do and then call me back. An hour later, no call. I called to speak to the woman again and was told that she had spoken to her supervisor who would speak to me anytime after 9 a. M. Tomorrow morning. I explained that I was leaving the hotel at 8:30 in the morning. "Okay! " was the response and the promise that the supervisor would call me. Of course, no call. I feel sorry for this supervisor because her representative on the desk keeps making her manager look worse and worse. I tried to find a place on the hotel website to write what I am writing here but there was no opportunity to communicate on the website. Big mistake. This could have been kept off the web so easily.

Just got checked in. I had to request a microwave and the fridge is definitely a mini as is the closet. Staff is super friendly glad to get me a microwave. I cannot believe they're going to make me pay to park and for Wi-Fi though. I will for sure try a different place next time I'm in Tallahassee.

I brought someone very special to Doubletree and had a very special evening planned. The staff was super friendly, hotel view was phenomenal, the rooms were very clean, and enjoyed the privacy. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Special thanks to the staff that worked throughout the night. Their hospitality was exceptional and are very much appreciated.

I was quite dissappointed with my stay in this hotel. First I found out I would have had to pay for parking if school (FSU) was in session at my arrival. There was no refrigerator or microwave and the design and upholstery in the room is ordinary at best for the price charged. Also, you have to pay $9.95 for slow dial up internet service that's free at every other hotel. Even when I used my own internet source, it seemed to be restricted on purpose. Breakfast is expensive and charged same as an unpscale diner (could easily cost $35 or more per person). Just to give an idea, 3 pancakes cost $9.99 and 1 small pot of coffee costs $6.95. Oh and you have to pay for phone calls too, $0.95 for local calls.

Arrived in Tallahassee Thanksgiving afternoon and the hotel van picked me up at the airport. Once at the hotel I was told that their in-house restaurant was closed as was every restaurant in downtown. I asked if the van could take me somewhere to get some food and was told "no, our insurance prohibits that. " They just picked me up at the airport in their van, but they won't take me to get some food and I had not eaten since late-morning due to flying all day. The young girl was very matter of fact and didn't seem to care at all. All she offered to do was call a $50 taxi for me. Terrible service for an expensive hotel. And the Wi-Fi is barely dialup speed. It hasn't been updated in twelve years.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience and we will start here again. The hotel is centrally located and close to the Capitol as well as the college. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were showing some wear but nothing that would have detracted or stopped me from staying here again. I will also note that they are renovating the rooms in the hotel so any concerns about then needing to be renovated will more then likely be addressed. The one thing that I will say that I had an issue with was having to pay 10 extra for wireless internet in the room. It is offered for free in the lobby, but in this day and age it should be included in the room rate allowing you to work in your room instead of having to do any work down in the lobby or from the business center. Even places like Quality Inn offer Wi-Fi in the rooms at no cost.
