Review of Holiday Inn Resort Panama City Beach, an IHG Hotel 3*

We just got back and had an awesome time. I did my research before we even booked and this hotel seemed great. It was everything I wanted it to be. This was my family's first vacation ever and I wanted it to be perfect. The atmosphere is amazing, all the way from the balcony of our room all the way down to the pool area. We booked the 2 queen beds upper level room. We stayed on the 15th floor, so you can only imagine the view… it was beautiful… and you can see everything going on below you which was the pool area. There was the pool (which was very family friendly), there was always something going on around the pool area. There was the pizza shack, the Oasis bar, the Bamboo grill, music was always going in the area which you can hear from the balcony. And even more awesome, when you have your head under the water, they have underwater speakers so you can still here the music… awesome! Every corner had big containers of fruit water for the guests to drink. The pool had a "pool attendant" area, which had towels provided for all guests, you can even check out supplies to play pool. They have lit torches all night every night which was also made the atmosphere awesome. The ONLY complaint we had was the hotel restaurant, it wasn't that the restaurant was bad, … it was just the menu choices… they were very limited… other than that, I would HIGHLY recommend this resort. We loved our stay so much that I am not even going to waste my time looking for another hotel for next year. Also, each time we called down to guest services (to get more towels, coffee, etc), they called our room a little later to make sure we received what we requested, which was awesome too. I have read previous reviews about this hotel parking. It is across the street, but it is safer to take the tunnel back to the hotel rather than cross the street because Front Beach Road is crazy busy. Some reviews stated previously that there were barely any golf carts to take visitors back and forth, however, I saw carts all day long and anytime you drove up to the hotel, there was someone helping everyone out. They even let you unload at the front door and then go park… This is the resort for us.
