Amazing Front Desk! The young lady Jessica told us about many great places to eat! Everyone was Amazing. Definitely went the extra mile as far as customer service! Hope to see her on our next visit!

I just stayed here for three nights and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach and has roof top sitting area. The staff is very friendly and helpful especially Jessica. I will stay here again when I visit next year.

Bathrooms need some updating but given the age of hotel and room sizes that’s to be be expected. Ditto for the windows but I get it I guess. Great staff from bellman/valet to FD to housekeeping. Only complaint is one of the ladies working in the restaurant in the AM didn’t speak much English and couldn’t make a latte or an iced coffee. She strained hot coffee over ice and shook it up… Today’s breakfast wait staff needs to understand the needs. Big Ocean Dr drinks made up for lack of iced coffee in the AM.

Small Room, relatively clean, functional, great Location, but quite noisy.

Unfortunately, I came across undedicated Staff, especially at Check-in and — out, which is why I didn't want to extend my Stay there.

Service is great. Not conductive for business. This area is very noisy. Expect the noise in the early morning until late at night. Stay away from a 5th floor room where there's the roof balcony above. You will hear foot steps from morning until night.

This hotel is in a wonderful location and is beautifully decorated and has a fantastic Italian restaurant. Be prepared to stay in rooms that reflect the age of the hotel. Showers are very small as are the rooms. Also be prepared for the bar to close one hour earlier than the front desk tells you it will.

Good things:Location and proximity to beach are excellent. Very nice staff though sometimes it is difficult to communicate in English. Comfortable bed. Other things: This property is old and outdated. Old carpets and need cleaning. Old elevator and broke down once. I have booked through Marriott app but when arrived they told me the don't have my reservation in the system. Restaurant was slow in service and food was normal. I was asked to change my table during eating to accommodate other people.

The hotel is in a great location but is very dated. The elevator was broken one day and the service is slow. It is right on the beach so perfect location.

We stayed here in February 2018. Our room was on the roof and had a private jacuzzi. We also enjoyed the rooftop sun deck outside our room. The room was small, but comfortable. The location was great! The staff was wonderful — especially the bartender. The hotel also has complimentary bottled water. The Hotel is directly across from the beach. We also enjoyed seeing “The Orb” in the alley behind the hotel (directly behind The Betsy Hotel.

Cool, laid back marriott boutique property. Super clean, very attentive staff. Super close to the beach. Great place to people watch. Centrally located. Celebrated my 50th bd and was surprised w/a NICE gift. Dawn made my experience GREAT!

Rooms were small, friendly staff, only 1 elivator, good food, great location on ocean drive.

Excellent service is a good atmosphere to spend with family and close friends as well as us we had a good plus the service was very good the comfort tambn is very good.

Food was good at the Italian restaurant, but not the quality I expected for the price. The drinks were really good.

Perfect old School South Beach… rooms are small, and somewhat outdated, however, that depends on what you want. Again, perfect old school South Beach. In the heart of it all, with, an amazing staff. Will definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed there. Nice location and all BUT my things were stolen out the room. And the manager did and say everything else but HELP me. They're such cover ups over there. I didn't get a chance to back up my family pics taken from our vacation. It hurts to have those pictures gone forever all because of sticky finger, non helping expensive hotel. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

We had a wonderful stay at Winter Haven. It's steps away from the beach and in a perfect location. You can head north a little bit to get to Lincoln Mall for some great restaurants and shopping. There's also a lot of bars within walking distance. The staff that worked at the hotel was also very helpful and friendly. I will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anybody needing a place on Miami South Beach.

Small boutique hotel on Ocean avenue in South Beach. Small rooms with mini bar and fridge. Loud outside noise is only complaint.

Superb hotel in the heart of the Art Deco district on Ocean Drive. Completely renovated. The staff very friendly especially Chris at the reception. Breakfast a bit expensive but you get for your money. Only negative point, the elevator, it serves everything, Monte charge, customers, etc… So long waits. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It is in a prime location, amazing views and they have a great staff. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are in South Beach.

Great location. Very nice staff. Very helpful. Clean rooms. No pool. Bathroom a little narrow. No ice machines. Rooms very pretty. Roof deck was very nice as well.

Awesome little hotel right on Ocean Drive. The staff here is amazing. Make you feel totally at home. And Esteban will keep hitting you with free Champagne. He's really great. The hotel is old-style, art deco. Just 1 elevator. The rooms are a little small. But you're right in the middle of the action. And 2 min from the beach.

It's a pretty decent hotel it is just, but the stay was pretty annoying. My girlfriend and I had a room there for 5 days and we found ourselves constantly asking for items we needed. Like we're here for 5 nights soooo… we need towels everyday lol. You get 2 paper coffee cups in your room… and you have to call for those every time after the first night as well. Going to the front desk personally doesn't remedy the problem, the staff tells you they'll send it up and that may take upwards of a half hour if they come at all.

Staff was awesome and very attentive. They were on the ball with everything we asked for. Nice room with great view. Only thing that was bad, and I don't mean to be picky, but all of the outside windows were very dirty. It was hard to take pictures of the great view with stuff all over the windows. You get free chair rentals on the beach, beach towels upon request, and free bike rentals. Parking is bad. You have to use valet and it is $35 a day.

Awesome stay. I was there for 2 days staying in their best room on 6th floor. Everyone was great specially taheeli and view was awesome for the money we paid. Bathroom was little tinny but it was newly renovated. They also have free bicycles that u can take to ride around the town. The hotel is located at the best place it's not far from all the south beach attractions but it's far enough from all the crazy bars and clubs who play music all night long. All in all decent stay and good service for the money.

Unfortunately I had a really bad experience here. I got back to the hotel after dinner around 12:30am. When I went up to my room, my room key wasn't working so I thought I had deactivated it from having it near my cellphone. I went down to get another room key-this one didn't work either. I went back down, got a second key, it still did not work. It turns out that the battery on the key entry had died. All of my belongings are trapped in the room. I asked the staff what happens now? They nonchalantly said they would have to put me in another room until maintenance comes. Tomorrow. I check out tomorrow. My charger is in my room. I will have a dead phone for traveling home tomorrow. I asked if they had any extra iPhone chargers that guests had left behind, he said he thought there was one and that he would send it up to my new room. 20 min later, nothing. I call down to check on the status and the guy told me that he would look and that he hadnt forgotten about me… although he sounded caught off guard. Another 20 min go by and I call to see what the deal was because I want to go to sleep at this point. He said he would look somewhere else. I just want to go to sleep at this point. I just received a call saying they actually don't have one. I'm grateful they had another room. They are discounting my stay for one of the nights, again-I'm grateful, but this is beyond inconvenient. I will never, ever stay here again because of this.

Nice hotel great location would recommend going elsewhere for breakfast had dinner one night and was excellent. Bar very nice and good cocktails. Rooms small but modern clean and well appointed.

The rooms are small and bathrooms are tight. The receptionist was not very friendly but overall the stay and the staff all were great. We did enjoy the stay. Thanks.

Booked room for A friend. I spoke with several staff the day prior to her arrival and the day of to make sure her check in went smoothly and they were very accommodating. I will also stay here, if space is available upon my next trip to Miami!

Dollar for dollar, the worst Marriott property I have ever stayed at. Marriott should be embarrassed by this association. Not one person has their act together, from the front desk to the maintenance crew to the housekeeping staff. A whiff at every turn. Check in is painful. Check out is worse, as they charge you for random items you didn't use. Nobody cleaned my room, but I had multiple mini bar charges. I didn't drive, but charged 2 nights parking. ElevatoR — — not elevatorS — — doesn't work. Shower is a slip and slide. Rooms so small you can't move. No air on either side of toilet so unless you are a size 1 you are out of luck. Outlets don't work so you wake up with a dead phone. 13 days after check out, the stay still not posted to my account. This hotel fat out s-cks. Go elsewhere… trust me.

Andrew and I loved it. We spent our first anniversary there. We were treated like royalty and given the best room with private hot tub and view of the ocean. Estubal and the bell captain Barbaro, rock that place. They were amazing.

Some of the best service I've received in a hotel. I'm Platinum at Marriott and I would definitely return to this property again.

The room was small and clean, and the service appeared to be great in the beginning. The ONE elevator needs maintenance. The first notification that the hotel was corrupt is when we paid $32 per day to valet park our car in their garage. We were told the wait time to retrieve the car was 40 minutes each day. We did not use our car for the first two days. On the third day, we looked out our window and saw that our car was parked on the street. We went downstairs and asked the valet why it was outside since we did not request for our car. The valet simply stated that "it must have been brought out on accident". Later we took our car for a drive and returned it that afternoon on a full tank. When we received our car upon checkout, the gas was noticeably lower than when we returned it. Also, the car looked as if it was parked outside for a long period due to the residue all over the car. Also, it took exactly ONE HOUR to receive our car upon checkout. We did not report the incident. After returning home, we noticed that the hotel charged an additional $128 to our card. After several avoided phone calls, emails, and a call from our bank, the staff stated that we drank $128 in alcohol in the room and at the bar. We did not consume any goods from the hotel except for our separately paid breakfast! We only had two drinks the entire 4th July weekend, and they were not at this hotel! The management staff refused to speak with me and TOLD ME BY EMAIL TO TAKE IT UP WITH MY BANK.

March 31, 2012 My husband and I just returned from an 11 day southern holiday which began at the Winter Haven on 3/16 and then ended with our two day stay back there on 3/24 and 25. In between we were on a cruise. We were delighted that most of the renovations were completed. The room we had, 603, was ocean front, well done and compfortable, although more storage for clothing and seating would be a nice addition. The daily breakfast was ample. Staff very accomodating, especially Chris at the front desk who went out of his way to make us happy. Maurice was also helpful as were the two attractive young ladies at the front desk. The other staff were kind and welcoming. Location perfect for us as we could walk to the beach and all other locations we wanted. Dr. W. Bruce Gorman Rochester NY.

The Winter Haven Hotel was the perfect stay for a New Years weekend. Right on Ocean Drive, the hotel is in the heart of the Art Deco district and within walking distance of shopping and clubbing. Just don't come thinking you're going to a resort. Rather, the Winter Haven is the perfect spot for someone wanting to get out to enjoy what South Beach has to offer. With a rooftop deck that allows for sunning and a streetside patio that allows for people watching, it was a great place to catch my breath between South Beach adventures. Unapologetic as a quaint deco-style hotel, accommodations are basic but comfortable and kept tidy. The bathroom was a bit cramped but served it's purpose while some of the carpets are in need of updates. The staff is courteous and engaged in their service, with suggestions for dining and help with directions. An amenity charge granted Wi-Fi access, though the server was down for the first of my three nights. The charge also assured beach chairs and robes were made available in each room, allowing me to take full advantage of the beach. Right across the street. A complimentary breakfast with hard boiled eggs, bagels and a self-serve waffle iron are a nice way to take the edge off of any hangover. Or get one going in time to catch the first dawn of the new year. After a day of sunning or shopping, coffee, made available throughout the day, was a welcome touch.

It was a pleasant stay. Nice staff. Clean room.
