Very good hotel very clean room floors very clean.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! The staff is unhelpful, unfriendly, and has no regard for their guests. We booked a room at this location through Expedia and when we went to check in were notified we longer had a room due to the recent disaster a few blocks away. Understandably so but what about us? Expedia did not rebook us and when we asked the hotel for help they shrugged their shoulders. We didn’t get a call or an email, we showed up and realized we were SOL and all hotels near by had been booked. When asking for guidance they told us there was nothing they could do which left 4 girls from out of state stranded in the lobby for 4+hours on the phone trying to find a place to stay with zero help. I understand if things were out of their hands but they should have called us to verify that Expedia had contacted us. As someone that’s spent 10+ years in customer service I would have gone out of my way to contact those that were being displaced. Very disappointed all around.

Not a very good experience, my air conditioning did not work, was switched to another room where the sofa bed was horrible. Every time I asked for clean towels I was met with a negative attitude as if I was bothering them. The second day after I was moved to a different room, I was constantly bothered asking when was I checking out I still had more days there-no communication between staffing. The pool area was disgusting. The pool has bird feathers and all types of bugs along the inside wall of the pool. The 22$ resort fee is a rip off, they give a thin towel and flimsy bag chair. No restaurants or anything near by or on site. Please do not waste money staying there.

They canceled my reservation without sending me an email to let me know that this was going to happen, but a day before they had sent me an email to confirm my reservation, the hotel manager told me that the system did not send those emails … but of curse one to confirm my reservation? So We arrived and found ourselves in a place that We do not know without a hotel and with rough employees and without the slightest effort to help us, especially the manager of that hotel and a woman named Anna. Horrible service from the Marriott system for not warning me of this problem, do not book there or in any hotel of this chain. It was a traumatic experience.

This is a fantastic Marriott Residence. The staff was friendly and helpful. The style and design was modern contemporary. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve been to and service was top notch. Close to the beautiful white sand beach with beach chairs, towels and umbrellas set up for you. Walking distance to shops, banks, restaurants and 20 min drive ($10 ride share) to South Beach. I’ll definitely be back here someday soon.

I love it all and the service is great with a very nice bfast bar. The employees are very thoughtful and kind.

Good hotel. Good breakfast. Great rooms. Really close to to some amazing food joints. Great beach service. The only thing missing is expensive parking. Everything else is great.

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved the place. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff are AMAZING and the hotel is just by the beach. And then beach is not that crowded so this is a great place to relax on your vacation. Lots of good restaurants nearby hotel, though mostly kosher food.

Very excellent service and strategic location.

Had an outstanding stay on a Friday night. Designated parking spots for those with babies and strollers close to the lobby entrance were convenient, which we gratefully used. The front desk and breakfast staff were cheerful, friendly, and informative. The room was clean and spacious with a kitchenette including a fridge. Loved the look and feel. I took my wife there for a much-needed stay-cation, and she felt rejuvenated and relaxed by the end of our stay. Breakfast was clean with many choices— I’d say it beats just about any hotel breakfast I’ve had. The manager is a professional, down-to-earth guy and personally gave us tips on enjoying the beachfront. My wife loved that particular stretch of beach. An awesome Miami spot we’d love to get back to and recommend for family and friends when they visit.

Overall this was a great find. It's across the street from the beach that includes chairs and towels. Rooms were all nice, staff was all very friendly. Valet parking was optional, (they have a parking garage) which was so nice because it's near impossible to find anything that's not at least 20 or 30 bucks a day for parking in this area. Breakfast was a zoo every morning, but the hotel can't ban rude guests so that's unavoidable. Free bike rentals, hammocks on the roof, roof pool was pretty nice, too.

This is a beautiful hotel with great Costomer service we had a problem with our room and they changed us right away even it was 1 am. They make you feel like you are the only guest in this hotel. We will definitely be back here.

I love a dream. Beautiful place to spend a family time.

I was swindled with the room, I paid two rooms for two adults each and I only got one and the other two adults slept on a couch. With regard to the services I had no drawbacks.

Simple room but food. Well-equipped kitchen and living room.

This hotel is undoubtedly beautiful with very friendly staff and good breakfast. The main reason I'm giving them 5 stars though, is the fact that I was traveling alone (for work) and instead of telling me my room number when she handed the keys across the counter (which is so common), the woman who checked me in walked around and opened the key card case to show me where it was written down. I know it's minor, but the lobby was packed and it made me feel like they were very conscientious and concerned about my safety. That's so important to me when traveling alone. That, along with many other reasons, will definitely bring me back.

We had an amazing 7 night stay here. The breakfast was delicious and always hot. There was a lovely outdoor seating area too. Room was beautiful, bright and clean and bathrooms were fantastic. We loved the resort fee (22$/room/day) that allowed us chairs and umbrellas and fantastic service at the semi private beach area. Will definitely be staying again!

Nice hotel, a block off the beach, with a row of condo/hi-rises in between. Situated in an incredibly crowded and congested area (which is all of Miami Beach). The hotel is nice, with nice rooms and good service. Breakfast was one of the better ones you will have at a hotel, or at least the ones that I stay in. Here's the rub, IT'S NOT FREE. There is a "destination fee" of $22. Plus, parking is $33, every day you park there. With those two charges and taxes, our reasonable room rate went up by $70! Not very reasonable anymore. Where did these "resort", "destination", "whatever you want to call it" fees come from? Of course we have seen them before in travel as baggage fees and fuel surcharges, so I guess they're here to stay. It's just the covert way they gouge you that gets me.

Need more diversity training. I felt completely unwelcome. This property is a unicorn compared to other Marriott family environments. This place does not go above and beyond as they should under the Marriott umbrella. Just a little advice to the staff here never judge a book by the cover it only makes you look small. Ive travelled the world and have never stayed in a Marriott that does not roll out the red carpet for you and attempt to sympathize with your concerns. Above that you have staff that speaks ZERO English. This is America. Shame on you guys!

Dirty sheets — pubes, dirt whatever else was in them, obviously not cleaned. Dirty Floor where the the kids play. Stained and sticky pull out bed mattress where our kids were going to sleep, dirty stains on shower floor. Asked to be moved to a different room, no deal. Took an hour and a half to get house keeping to bring in a roll away bed and fresh linens. Toddlers ended up in bed around 10pm while 1 was running a fever and falling asleep in a desk chair waiting on service. No wash cloths in the bathroom. Hard to believe a hotel this new would be in this condition. If we weren't so far from home we would have left and not stayed. Find a different place to stay with your family.

Excellent location. Upscale rooms. Short walk to the beach which is just accross the street and about 100 yards away. Nice breakfast. Parking is a little steap and is not included with your room. Runs about 50.00 per day and charges you each time you leave and return.

Wonderful customer service, beautiful accommodations and in a great location. The staff are extremely helpful and will do their best to fulfill your requests. I love staying here.

Lack of valets, small breakfast area, godly rooms and attentive staff. Would go back The staff was very nice overall but lacked in readiness, there were almost aways no valet at the front door to help with luggage. Once we arrived the rooms were top notch and spacious. Everythimg was setup nicely. Bathrooms were clean but the shower contraption was awfull to control. The breakfast was varied but lacked in seating space, with many people sitting on the sofas. Parking was plentiful and spacious, we did not have to squeeze our way around the garage and they have charging stations for electric vehicles. The location was nice, a small walk away from a variety of restaurants and just a step away from the beach.

Spacious rooms with kitchens. Friendly staff. The free breakfast is an out of control free for all though and nothing special food-wise. The decor is nice, it feels modern and fresh. Nice rooftop pool area. Went there in December and July. It's a few city blocks to a Publix grocery store and restaurants. Beach beds umbrellas and towels provided on beach across the street.

This turned out to be one of the best values I have had in a hotel in quite some time. This hotel is about 1 year old. It was immaculate. We stayed over 4th of July. The breakfast was excellent the parking was easy and the beach across the street was amazing. Haulover Beach was a 5 minute drive. We were able to walk two to three blocks to some really nice restaurants. This was our first experience at Surfside. My wife and I have already discussed a return trip to this hotel. Very good experience, I will recommend it for relaxing trips avoiding the loud music and loud environment from south beach (but within driving distance from it). We experience some issues but the staff and the manager made it very nice for us and made our staying as pleasant as possible. i will definitely go back to this hotel and will recommend to others thank you Andres for all your help.

This hotel has a great location with wonderful beach access, close to shops and restaurants in Surfside and a straight 10 mins. Drive down the road to Ocean Drive and South Beach, where you can find all the hustle and bustle you want. We loved our spacious room, the hotel offered a great breakfast. Only downsides: a) when the hotel is full, it gets over crowded around the breakfast space and the staff is unable to handle that situation and b) the daily parking fee of 33 USD was a surprise to us. There is not really an alternative there to park your car in the vicinity, but mentioning the fee might help ;-).

Great hotel. Nice clean rooms with ample space. Rooms had a microwave and fridge which seems hard to come by for hotels in Miami. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Love how the beach chairs and umbrellas are all inclusive. Hotel is literally a stone's throw from the beach. I'll likely be staying here again next year.

It was a very nice hotel I specially love the furniture and the decor colors. The first room I was given was right next to the elevator and all you could hear were the people getting on and the dinging of the elevator. I had no problem when asking for a room change. The room they changed it to didn't seem clean there was trash in the bathroom trashcan's shirt tags on the bathroom counter someone's hair long black was all over the bathroom and considerate I'm a ginger I was pretty sure it wasn't mine. It looked as if they never even clean the bathroom there was also a dirty towel in there. The bottles of water and coffee packs where moved around Has well. I went down to the front desk and asked for a wake up call for 5:30 AM and never received a call! I wrote all this down on the comment card left in the room and I gave it to the people at the front desk and the lady seem to care less she didn't apologize on behalf of the hotel she didn't say anything other than OK. When first getting to the hotel I was extremely excited everything looked so nice on the phone I kept telling my boyfriend we needed to come back but after that experience I don't think so.

The tile floor in the room was very filthy, like they were never washed. And you pay for valet parking and they are never at the door to valet your parking. We were there for three days and we had to park my own car most of the time.

My family and I could not have been happier from beginning to end with the Residence Inn Miami Beach Surfside! We live in the area and began by hosting out of town family and friends with a special group rate at the hotel for our son's bar mitzvah celebration. The sales staff was courteous and prompt in getting the rates and codes for our guests. A last minute issue had us scrambling for a party room for a Friday night dinner and Saturday lunch. Again, Tatiana in sales came through. In less than 24 hours we were able to relocate the parties to the hotel — which our guests greatly appreciated — and received excellent service along the way. Tatiana was there to help set up the room and provided amazing staff to decorate the room to our specifications. On the days of the event, Daniel the manager, was on hand throughout the entire event and could not have given better customer service. I am so surprised that in South Florida, voted rudest city by the way, that this gem of a hotel provides the A+ quality service for their customers! What a breath of fresh air and he could not have made our event any better. When more than the expected number of guests arrived at the hotel Saturday afternoon, Daniel immediately stepped in and provided the additional support staff we would need to make everything run smoothly — without our guests even being aware.

Great hotel in an even better location. This is not your typical Residence Inn. This hotel has a very modern feel and is a very nice change in pace for frequent travelers. The staff is fantastic. You can tell that many of them come from 5 star hotels and they have brought that mentality with them. You will not be disappointed! I'll defiantly be staying again.
