This hotel needs to read its reviews staff is highly overworked it’s booked they could care less from the valet to the front desk staff beach service is wonderful and the two wonderful people in the coffee shop but as far as the rest don’t bother overpriced broken town read the reviews from other gas before you waste your time or money here there’s plenty other hotels in Miami to stay at.

Unhelpful everything no one answers the phone no one calls back no one answers emails even though we booked multi suites for thousands of dollars a night pretty shocking if a hotel staff member wants to call me back pls do.

Had such a FABULOUS time as I planned a girlfriends retreat here for 4 days 3 nights this month (May 2021) the girls absolutely loved it! The hotel was clean the service was impeccable. I would definitely stay here again. The beach and surrounding pools is absolutely gorgeous. Don’t believe any negative reviews. That’s their own personal experience which is unfortunate. I am highly recommending this hotel! star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved our stay at the grand beach hotel. The staff was friendly, the other guest were friendly. We had a great time. Roof pool was great for lots of sun. If you want shade the pool on the ground level is perfect. The rooms were very clean and spacious. It was a very relaxing place.

The best I love Jonathan is the bests I loved everything about this hotel! It was so nice, it had plenty of space the view is great! I have no complaints!

There is not enough staff for even ok service. The staff that is there are very nice but there just isn’t enough of them. For example: 1 server for the beach for about 100 guests = not getting waited on.

Grand Beach Hotel has become our holy grail for vaca spots! It’s very luxurious, yet friendly and hospitable. Excellent staff, service, and atmosphere. The views are to die for! I love the variety of outdoor areas that allow for privacy, multiple pools and seating. Also — the food is incredible. You don’t have to leave for anything.

We booked here because we were told how nice it was and how the food was amazing. No one told us the restaurants were closed. The adult only pool bar was closed, there were no towels at this pool and there was trash everywhere. Definitely not something you expect when you pay $300 a night somewhere. I would highly suggest you visit somewhere else as this place was not as nice as it appears. We were very disappointed.

Pretty hotel but really distasteful staff. Dirty mugs and had to ask them to restock the room of the basics. Really unacceptable for such a luxurious hotel.

I would never ever recommend this hotel! — Hallways smelled like cleaner — Carpets not clean — Room service had to be call 3 times to get breakfast delivered correctly — Upon check in — refrigerator was dirty, glasses greasy and dirty, room smelled like disinfect — Housekeeping — room was not cleaned 3 days, when I complained to housekeeping manager he promised it would be cleaned upon our return from dinner and at 1:09 am still not cleaned. I called front desk manager and asked for hotel manager to call in the am. Never got the manager — they did. Not restocked room after the first day of cleaning with coffee packets etc. — Condition of property Is defiantly showing wear and tear. Lots of little things not maintained ie. Door handle to main lobby ladies room. Etc — This property is very poorly run! — No communication between staff. Food was decent and location good as well as room layout and views. But beware you will be disappointed!

We stayed for two nights and had our room upgraded to a suite with the jacuzzi over looking the sunset. The staff was very nice and the place was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be going back one day!

This hotel was extremely accommodating for our wedding. They don’t have weddings often, but they roll out the red carpet at an affordable price when they do! Highly recommend.

Allot of hidden fees… The web site STILL does tell you the it has an outrages' parking fee on top of all the OTHER fees it has. Advertise one price and when you get there look out and bend over… Every thing they offer is WAY over priced. We stayed closer to the down town area, had much more fun and a whole lot cheaper…

Concierges are very helpfull, I liked interior, hotel room for nice decor and I love the mirrors and ocean view glass railing balcony. They make best chicken wings in America. Our checkout time was extended (no cost) we left our luggage for the whole day at the reception (no cost). I loved loved the rooftop pools and Ofcourse hot tubs lol

Very rude staff. Treated me and my daughter like trash because we had been traveling all day flying. Guess we did not fit in at the time of check in. We left.

Be careful. Hotel has hidden fees and takes out $300 for “room insurance”. I was told after the fact it takes 5-7 days to go back on your card. It’s been over the 7 business days and I have called several times and have gotten no where with the front desk. Very inconvenient.

Absolutely awful service. Room wasn’t ready until after 6pm on check in day. They gave us drink tickets to make up for it only to find out that they are not good for anything but soda. Then cleaning service didn’t come the next day. Spoke to front desk three times about all of this and they wouldn’t do a thing besides say sorry. Asked for resort fee to be waived. Nothing. Valet? Nope. Late checkout? Oh, 12pm. Thanks for nothing. Thankfully the hotel is beautiful and spacious otherwise would’ve left immediately. Funny thing is that everyone was arguing with front desk every time I went down there. Shame. : (

Expensive daily charge of $34, expensive anything that you purchase through the hotel. Unfriendly bar staff; a lot of renovation work meaning places unavailable to use: we loved the location but won’t be returning to the hotel. On a side note the room and concierge and pool staff were great. Bar and reception staff only looking for your £€$¥

The Grand Beach Hotel is a very beautiful hotel. It's very private and gives a feeling of a luxury resort. This will always be my home away from home while in the Miami area.

This was my first stay at the grand beach Surfside and it wont be my last. The experience was so magical we decided to extend our stay an additional day. Great food, romantic atmosphere, adult pool with jacuzzi on the rooftop and friendly staff with amazing amenities. The beach is better than any other area found on the beach.

First off, they are very dishonest, unprofessional and unhelpful. I booked a reservation with hotels tonight for 2 nights, but due to an emergency and circumstances beyond my control I had to cancel one night and leave early. Hotels tonight sent them 3 email messages which were never responded to nor phone calls returned. After I got there and offered to call hotels tonight for them they still refused to speak to them directly. They flat out told me they wouldn’t refund nor cancel my reservation. Hotels tonight wanted to give me a credit for a later booking but still needed GBH to agree to it, but they refused to.
Heartless front desk agents were rude and unwilling to help either. I felt like I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Absolutely LOVED it. Such a beautiful place. Our King Ocean front suite offered a serene view. The room was gorgeous and super comfortable and the staff was absolutely the best. Our guest services agent surprised us with an 8th floor suite! The scenery was to live for❤

My husband has been begging me for years to vacation in Miami, so we finally booked a trip and stayed at Grand Beach Hotel Surfside for 3 nights during his Birthday week. Our experience was AMAZING! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Fernanda, who was absolutely incredible! Not only did she make sure we had a perfect room but she also made sure our friends (who checked in hours after us) werent too far from us. She even surprised us with a "special delivery" of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to help us celebrate my husband's birthday! So thoughtful! The view is perfect, the beach is literally steps away (my favorite part), kid friendly (definitely bringing our kids next time) and the hotel itself is clean and stunning! Kinda far from some real "Miami action" or "young adult crowds" but only about a $15 uber ride, so the hotel was still totally worth it. Very please with this hotel and our stay! Thanks Fernanda!

Probably the nicest "one room" suite we've ever stayed in. Huge benefit in have two full bathrooms in the suite. The hotel itself is clean and well decorated. It's not a great value, if that's what you're looking for, given a valet-only parking option at $44 per night and the resort fee as well.

Our stay at the Grand Beach has been wonderful. We have a king suite overlooking the water. We are on the top floor so we also have a distant view of the ocean. The staff has been kind and helpful. The room was clean with sleek decor. We have two bathrooms which is very nice. It is just a short walk to the ocean. I would rather be here. The canal the hotel overlooks is full of marine life and from our room balcony we have seen manatee, stingtays, various fish and there are a couple large lizards on the grounds as well. The pool is perfect with comfy lounges. I highly recommend this hotel if travelling to the area.

Horrible horrible horrible! I check in at 4pm, just to go to my room and find it a mess! Ive asked repeatedly for them to clean my room and its past 5pm. Still not clean. I will post the pictures of how the room looks. If this is how they treat their guests, I would NOT recommend this hotel! I asked if I could get a complimentary drink while I wait and was rudely denied! I will never come back here.

This hotel is our favorite for our annual Miami trip. It has gorgeous rooms and close beach access. It’s a little pricey for a room with an ocean view but worth every penny. Would definitely recommend!

This hotel did not live up to the expectations that were set from the photos. We arrived at 11 a. M, earlier than expected and had to wait until 3 P. M. Or so. The bathrooms and beds were very nice, and the added living room, double TV’s & balcony were a nice bonus. Other than waiting for the room to be ready, one thing I noticed after I used the smaller bathroom shower in room 672 was that someone previously marked “Hi honey” on one of the mirrors and it was noticeable after a hot shower. Perhaps housekeeping missed that, as it isn’t really noticeable if there’s no steam on the mirror.

No microwave in rooms or anywhere in hotel. Vending machine doesn’t sell water. Hotel doesn’t provide free water. Water hotel provides is $7 for your basic bottle of water. Staff is the rudest I have ever encountered and our family travels a good amount. Front desk staff actually lied to my face when I asked if they could provide fans because our room was clocking in at a balmy 73 degrees. Engineering came and basically said it was hot outside and room wouldn’t ever reach 65 degrees as front desk staff said it would. But the hallway was freezing. Foyer was freezing. Rooms still 73 degrees.
Ran out of complimentary coffee provided to rooms.
Did I mention how rude staff was? Do yourself a favor, stay somewhere else. There’s a Residence Inn down the block and several other hotels just off the beach. While the hotel is beautiful, everything else mentioned above destroys any chance of an enjoyable stay.

This hotel is located by the beach, excellent location. Really enjoyed the spa service there. Had a great time staying there. 3 stars because they never return my call after I notified the hotel I left my car key there.

Rude and discriminating. I'll just sum it up. From the start the front desk lady seemed annoyed we were even there. The room. We were told we would be getting an upgrade (turned out to be the exact same room we booked) not to mention the AC would NOT stay on/or at the temp we set. Resort. They failed to notify us that both the pool area downstairs and rooftop were closed for reconstruction (which is the whole reason we came to this location! For photography) we also came really late so didn't realize till the next morning. At that time it was too last minute to look for a new place/ location to stay. When we went downstairs to see what they could do for all the inconveniences, they did NOTHING but offer 1 drink voucher each… when the OLDER couple next to us was complaining about the SAME EXACT thing and they got a FREE nights stay and a discounted rate for the rest of their days… We came to have a great trip, take some photos and celebrate my sisters graduation from Pharmacy school. Did not think it would turn out so terribly and have to deal with such rude people. We felt extremely judge/ treated differently at the end of the trip. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good time, be treated as an equal or treated with respect.

I had a great experience at the hotel, on arrival received a complementary drink at the bar. Staff was helpful and informative. Good facilities such as the pool, bar, cafe, restaurant and gym. To walk from the lobby to the beach was less then 2 minutes. Would definitely stay here again.

Horrible horrible service… over promised and under delivered. So many examples of poor service but the icing on the cake was being charged for 5 (empty) wine glasses to be delivered to our room. This was after our prearranged champagne amenity never showed up upon our arrival. Rooftop pool was closed… we should have been informed prior to arrival. Would never recommend this hotel. I would have experienced more service at the Holiday Inn and saved a ton of money.

We really liked the one-week stay at the hotel. The room was very large with two bathrooms and a comfortable bed. The balcony was also exceptionally large. The rooms are modern and brightly decorated. On the roof, it has a swimming pool and bar. Especially in the evening you have a beautiful view. The price of the room was good, especially compared to the very high prices of the hotels in Miami Beach. The breakfast buffet was also very good, but not inexpensive at a price of about $35 with taxes and tips. During our stay, unfortunately, one of the three lifts was completely defective, which in some cases led to waiting times.

Super Hotel. With pool and bar on the roof. Of course, there are other pools and also a private beach. We had booked a seaside but this site was just cleaned and the terrace was not usable as a result. The disappointment was looked at us and we got an upgrade. Super solution Thank you. For the restaurant, I would recommend Outside.

Air conditioning is not working at all. Very hot and stuffy. Pools were under reconstruction. We had to walk all the way across the street for pool. I selected beach view and did not recieve it No drinks available. For the price they need to have everything available. I feel we deserve a discount for the air conditioning and no pool access.

Clean hotel with top location and good food.

The outdoor place with parasols and lounge chairs overlooking the sea is unique. The location, very close to the shop Bal Harbour is very good. The rooms and service in general should be better for the price you pay. Eye with the cost of valet parking: It is very high! If you are going to use the car very little, you should think twice…

I recently stayed at this hotel to decide on the family accommodation that lives in Missouri. It is impacted by cleanliness and order in the lobby and the friendliness of the staff, especially Mr Federico Zerla that I give special attention me how the advantages that would have my family to stay in this hotel above all that can communicate in English and Spanish. They could easily charge a little more for rooms, hire more and better people, and be much nicer place, but choose not to. Overall, it just seems like most of the people working here (including cleaning maids) are pretty unhappy, which can't be good… But otherwise, the place is great.

I really enjoyed my experience at this hotel, but noticed a double charge from the restaurant and it has been a nightmare to get it resolved. Despite several phone calls, inquiry submissions (as indicated on the website) and actually speaking to the accounting department, I am still being ignored. I have followed up several times and it feels they are purposely not responding to keep the additional money. I work in hospitality and have used several POS systems myself. I know first hand it does not take over 12 days to look up a double charge. It seems the only responsive contact from this hotel is the person responding to their reviews, so hopefully I can get some type of resolution from this post. If you stay here, pay close attention to your statements and definitely get anything resolved BEFORE you leave!

The property on the main floor and the beach and pool area are pretty, but the customer service stinks. The food at the main restaurant is very good. However, we waited 6 hours for our room to be ready. You think since we were early birds, that they would have housekeeping clean our room soon after we arrived so we wouldn't have to wait 6 hours outside in the heat. All we wanted was abbed to sleep on. I understand that check in time is at 4 p. M. But I have been to many hotels, and have never had to wait until the very last second until the room was ready. If a guest shows up for one of your most expensive rooms, you make it a priority to clean that room as soon as possible. It wasn't ready until 4 p. M. 6 hours after we had arrived. We were tired and this was unacceptable. Their website stated if I found a cheaper price that I would receive a complimentary upgrade. I never received an upgrade even when I found a cheaper price and asked for the upgrade two month before our visit. This is false advertising. Also, our room was very dirty. There was soap scum and mold in the showers. Dirty toothpaste on the bathroom sink. It appears as if someone had previously thrown up on the bedroom floor and they didn't bother to do anything more than wipe it up so it was very obvious. We wanted to eat outside on our large balcony however there was sand all over the table, it had never even been cleaned.

I enjoyed the hotel. I only stayed for one night but I had a good experience. The beach was definitely the highlight, it was clean fun and beautiful. The food was great and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The service was pretty bad though. We did not get into our room until 3 hours after we were supposed to. The staff was slow and did not know what they were doing. The room was nice and I would recommend it if someone is spending a night in Miami.

Here for the second time and already sorry for leaving soon. Hope to be back soon! Definitely recommend this place, friendly staff, great atmosphere and the best beach around. Big rooms, very comfy beds. Costly but worth the money!

It's an upgrade from your brother in South Florida. They're very similar. This has better than not so many Argentine Jaa (I'm Argentina) and the area has many more options Restorants several to 1 block and the shopping Bal Harbor. The other one has children's games. This one and the other's pools are better ubiladas. But I'm keeping this.

Great situation. Lovely restaurant with sea views! Great adult only pool on the roof, rooms are good sizes and 2 bathrooms for a one bed… the downside is no real service, the weekend is better but no turndown so all wet towels from your day are there til the next day and asked for hangers 5 times … never got them and heard others moaning about the same and a few saying they need better management here but as I said there are upsides!

We recently arrived for a short stay. The customer service has been exception especially Julian at the front desk. The staff throughout the resort from the room staff to the front desk to the bar and beach staff gave gone the extra mile to make sure our stay was wonderful. The food has been great and the location can not be beat. I highly recommend the resort and location. We wanted a resort a little more low key and wanted great beach time and we were not disappointed.

Contemporary decor. They take pride in this place. It was very clean and comfortable. The entire staff aims to please! The only way to go is to use the valet parking. The valets hustle and work very hard to get your car quickly. We enjoyed dining here along with pool and beachside cocktails. They have a rooftop pool area that overlooks South Beach its lovely at night. I'll definitely be back.

We arrived at 15 hours. The receptionist treated us badly. We asked him to inform us in Spanish, he said his speech in English, he turned our backs and nothing else.
We had to wait for the other receptionist to understand what she said. Very bad reception.

I just arrived at this hotel and it has been one disaster after another. They are not honoring the rate I had been told, my room isn't ready and the staff has no information when it will be, the concierge is terrible when I asked about parking and told me to go outside and read the signs myself, and I feel nickel and dimed and I have only been here 2 hours. I am paying A Lot to stay here and wishing I had made another choice. Hoping this gets better or I will be very sad.

Beautiful room, great staff, very relaxing atmosphere. I felt like I own the hotel the whole atmosphere is so comfortable and so excepting. Beach, stores, restaurants, and shul are all with in 5 minutes walk. We had a great five day vacation here.

Very bad service, after such a long trip from Colombia to Miami, we wanted to rest, but we had to wait at the reception, while EVERYTHING WAS PAID, US $ 500 MORE to leave there, even before making the reservation they informed us of that, in addition to touching credit cards there, not even wanted to give us intrenet service was a person who was staying to help us, as it is possible that everything is paid and not give us the room, wait until almost night and a Room that was not and lose a day, the English-speaking reception gave us problems almost stole us $ 500 and more racist, were the Spanish-speaking that did not put a problem and solved it instantly, post some photos of the hotel in facebook and I deleted them and several guests publish photos there do not know why? Mine were not from the beach anymore, I think of racism because of being Latina and more because of how the hotel staff treated us, they almost charged us double breakfast because a relative gave me a bread, no privacy is uncomfortable but other things were charged We do not even use it, it's the worst hotel I have left, DO NOT RETURN NEVER.

For my first time in Miami, I couldn't have gone to a better place. I came in for work, and the room is absolutely gorgeous, and beautiful. You have access to the main building across the street with a bar and dining hall. The staff were friendly, courteous and professional. Highly recommend as a place to stay.

Great get away hotel situated away from the Miami rowdy crowd. Friendly staff clean public restrooms great security public parking across the street. Hotels facing the beach are wonderful I will definitely be back.

Although it is not on the beach. You have to cross the Collins and enter the Hotel Madre. It's very modern. Comfortable and clean. You can use all the amenities of the 2 hotels. Breakfast is not included us29 but it is superb. The best beach in Miami. And is a block from the pub and an area full of restorants and 3 blocks from the Bal Harbor.

Awesome location. Awesome decor. Super rooms. Amazing views. Friendly staff. Can't go wrong. The only negative is food… Don't expect a good food selection. By there are plenty of places to eat walking distance. Also there is a Publix one block away.

Four night stay Overall: 3 Stars Rooms: 3.5 Stars Location: 4.5 Stars Services & Facilities: 2 Stars The Good: Location is very close to the beach; Literally across the street (Collins Ave) and thru the main hotel, Grand Beach Hotel Surfside, is the ocean. From our suite, we can see the ocean (just a peek between the other hotels but you can see it), and downtown Miami in the distance. The rooms are comfortable, but there are some quality details that are absent or not well maintained; the carpet edges between the bathrooms is frayed and coming up. We also had some kind of mechanical malfunction our first night where water had soaked underneath the bed (presumably from the A/C closet to the right of the bed, but could have also been from some folks who flooded the hallway leading to the rooftop pool (see photos) ) and saturated the floor between the bed and the balcony. After noticing the soaked floor, we contacted the front desk, who was very courteous and sent up an engineer quickly to assess the situation. Condensation was also building up on the vent, which normally would be fine, however in this suite, the vent is directly above the bed, and it was dripping from the ceiling to the bed (see photos of vent above bed) Because of the late hour (11pm EST) a manager was not available immediately to speak with, but the front desk assured me that a manager would contact us.

The rooms are excellent, but the parking is only with valet and costs USD 42 per day, plus an additional charge for the hotel services of USD 26. The staff is not very gentle.

5-day stay from 21 to 26/09. Previous we had accessed his page. To know your situation by the Wildwind Irma. There it indicated Q the hotel was operable. But actually with restrictions. They only had Hab's available up to the 4th floor. The bar didn't work either. Very little staff attending. Only one person for beach sector to open umbrellas place lounge chairs and deliver towels. I also consider the cost of the beach service should be included in the room, and Q charge x day even if it rains or enter at 7 pm. The staff right and very friendly but as I put before, very little to provide good service.

This is the second time we booked,. The last time the stay was impeccable, in this opportunity to reach the. Hotel we found that it was closed, took advantage of the closing of a compulsory week for the step of Irma and I extended to make reforms of all kinds, without warning and sending us to the hotel of the same chain that is opposite (not in the. Beach and no balcony terrace) which lowers at least one star the room that was already paying. A lack of respect for guests and a scam. It will be the last time we booked at this hotel.

Hotel staff are very polite, friendly and most helpful. Private Access to a beautiful beach and staff on hand to sort out towels and sun loungers so no need to stress! Pools are small but who cares about the pool when the beach is so amazing! Rooms are large and cleaned every day. There is a good restaurant and many other nice ones in the area. For us, awesome layout with the multiple rooms with multiple bathrooms and it was quiet. Location was good and access to the main hotel was convenient. However, it is expensive to pay for resort fees you really will not use in the West hotel and parking is pricey. But overall, we really liked it.

Lots of kids. Like maybe all the kids ever made are here. Staff are polite. Menu is super average. They need an adult only indoor bar. Rooms are upgraded and spacious, a suite can handle a family with two young kids.

Not impressed very nice rooms covers were dirty bathrooms showers had mold on them Wi-Fi and satellite dish went out one night and did nothing to conversate for that.

I had previously given this hotel a great review on customer service but I am taking that review back. I stayed at this hotel because of my Son's wedding I got the oceanfront room with jacuzzi. I paid for the room in full. I also paid for my room in full at check out. A day later they reversed the charges and increased it by $200.00. I also noticed that my car was damaged. I have been trying to call the hotel and they do not answer their phones. When they finally answer after dozens of calls they said the manager will cal me. No one called. I tried calling back and they would answer phone and hang up or the phone would ring and ring and no one would answer I WOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN.

It was so fancy and staying at this hotel allowed access to the even fancier sister hotel with large chess and two pools and hot tubs and beach access.

Great place with lots of amenities. The people there really take care of the guest. What I love most is they are right on the beach so access to the ocean is great.

Went here for our honeymoon and we loved it! The staff made us feel so welcome and at home. The hotel is very beautiful, modern and very clean. We had an amazing view of the ocean from our room. Eduardo and his team treated us very well. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Booked 2 room for 4 nights at a cost of $4100 I expected more than basic Motel 6 service however didn't even get that. Had to ask housekeeping for several items including wash clothes. Most of the front desk and housekeeping staff have little knowledge about the hotel. Instead of getting an answer to basic questions they just respond "I don't know". Rooftop attendant complained the entire day to another employee of "how lame the place is". Seriously! Very unprofessional when guests can hear you complaining. When he wasn't complaining he was ignoring guests while on his cell phone. Restaurant staff is very friendly. Nice beach. First and last time I'll stay here. Definitely WILL NOT recommend!

We had a great time here at the hotel everybody was very nice and welcoming to us. The room was quite roomy and we'll furnished. Nothing to complain at all.

Yes beautiful hotel with access to the beach and its excellent Mathias, nice and attentive, high floor with a view of the city of all beauty.
But… Breakfast was not up to par, from my 3 weeks in Florida, by far the most expensive without being the most hearty.
And then you are signaled at the time of leaving that $25 are charged per day for access to yoga!?! With the $35 of parking and the $120 of breakfast you quickly double the note.
Last point, the rooms are available at 4:00 pm, so if you arrive at 2:00 pm like me, they make you wait in the living room.
On the other hand the housekeeper will come knocking on your room at 9am the day of your departure!

Not a bad place. The lobby is wonderful and smells like coconuts. I like the free oranges as well. The room they put us in is nice but has a a strange vinegar-like odor inside. Overall good.

I had a wonderful experience at The Grand Beach Hotel Surfside. I spent two days there with my wife for our wedding night and couldn't have asked for better treatment. I arrived and checked in to a room and although it was very nice with a great view I wanted something a little more for the special night. I went to the front desk and spoke with someone and they immediately upgraded me to one of the best rooms they had free of charge. The view was breath taking and my wife loved it. My wife had family members coming from Colombia to visit and not one time did any member of the hotel care to bother or ask reference the amount of people. I am very grateful for how I was treated and I plan to stay again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

Beautiful white on white decor in Miami Beach. If you smoke, then get a third floor room. Smoking is allowed on the balconies of the third floor. The room was very nice and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. We spent the first night without a working key for our room and their system couldn't generate two keys for the room at all. The bathrooms were well stocked with soaps and towels but the sink faucet was loose and the entire spigot wobbled when you turned on the water. There was also an overwhelming smell of bleach in the bathrooms. The toilet paper roll not only has a fold but also has a sticker that helps comfort you in knowing that no poop covered fingers have touched the paper about to wipe your bum. All in all its a fantastic place to spend the time while in Miami.

Lovely 2 bed, 2 bath, 2 TV & sofa bed room for only $200+ per night! Super clean, stylish, quiet & convenient. My 2 nieces and I had a fantastic time at the beach where the employees were wonderful. Genesis at check-in was super helpful. So very satisfied! Thanks to all the staff.

My best friend and I stayed at this fabulous hotel this past weekend. We can't wait to go back! From the moment we arrived we were in heaven. Gorgeous hotel, amazing beach and the room was spacious and so classy. On saturday, we went out to the beach and as soon as we stepped out onto the sand, the waitstaff was attending to our every need. They found us a beautiful spot and set up our chairs and umbrella almost immediately. We ordered drinks and lunch and we never had to leave the beach! We stayed out there until evening. Talk about paradise. Beautiful ocean breezes and sparkly blue green water. Watched children and babies frolicking in the shallow surf and everyone was having a fabulous time. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you to all the wonderful employees at this amazing hotel for making our stay so memorable!

Staff is very nice and attentive. The room was beautiful along with the lobby and pools. The rooftop pool and bar is breathtaking. But it closes at 9 which is a little buzz kill. The hotel is beautiful, you get what you pay for.

Beware — do not park your vehicle on this property. My brand new vehicle was damaged on the hotel property by the valet while in their possession and a claim form was filled out on the spot. This happened on January 14th of this year and after multiple attempts to reach someone regarding this, I have had zero response from the hotel as of March 22nd. The management has the front desk trained to say they are in a meeting every time I have called and will not return messages. I have left voicemail's with numerous people including the most recent to the executive assistant of the General Manager all without a response. The valet company they hire to handle this has been unresponsive and completely uncooperative in handling this claim. After finally reaching someone who promised to resolve this, I am getting the runaround again with the last email reading "Mr. Carlson, I have relayed the information to the General Manager and I am awaiting some details on the initial claim. Please allow 2-3 business days for a respond" Absolutely unbelievable…

Was provided with an 11:30 check-in which was nice; however, I had to switch rooms from 1 king size bed room to a 2 twin/queen size beds. We accepted the offer because we really wanted to check-in early but it took away from the romantic nature of the room. The room was nice. It had 2 bathrooms. No jacuzzi or anything fancy but it was nice that there were 2 showers. Aside from that, there was a small balcony without tables or chairs. We were on the 2nd floor so there was not much of a view. The view was looking onto the street. Things get expensive fairly quickly once you add up the $25 resort fee and the $35 valet fee. I tip the valet too so you can understand that it can get expensive. Buffet Breakfast runs around $40 per person including taxes and tip. So again, it can get expensive. Understand that a night at this hotel will run you around $350-$375 (price of room + taxes + valet fee + resort fee). Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably Not. This hotel is at least 25-35 minutes away from south beach or downtown miami. To me, it is worth no more than $200-$250 a night and that includes taxes + whatever else they want to charge. Also, If you stay at Surfside West, there's NO Room Service. Look around if you are looking for a hotel outside of miami. If you look hard enough, I think you could save yourself an extra $100 per night.

Called and made reservations the had to cancel after a few days in accordance with their reservation policy, had me wait on the phone for 15 minutes to proccess the cancelation and then they charge my card anyway, still havent received my money back. $595.00

I stayed at the Grand Beach Hotel west for 4 nights. Beautiful room with 2 full bathrooms. The hostess were great especially Ana. I would stay here again.

Finished in December 2014, this hotel is modern and stylish and custom service is impressive. Valet parking is expensive though at $35 per night. A resort fee of $25 per night is also added which makes the stay rather expensive. However, for what you pay you get really nice, large and modern rooms with two large flat screen TV's with a good selection of channels, two nice bath rooms and a decent view from the balcony. (depending on what floor you're on of course). Internet is not only free but you're free to use as many devices as you want and speeds up to about 55 mbit downlink and 45 mbit upload. That is awesome and every other hotel should learn from that instead of charging you over $10 per night for painfully slow internet (Im looking at you Hilton). The custom service was tested as they at one point had issues with the cable TV service leaving us with two non functional TV's. It didnt seem like the hotel was to blame but they still gave us free movie rentals while the issue was ongoing. The pool area was also really nice and everyone working there were smiling, polite and helpful. I almost retract one star due to the high valet parking fees and a resort fee that caught us by surprise though. That might be the average for this area though so I wont rant on about it too much. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Edvard gave it 5 stars, I'm giving it 4 stars because of the extra 35$ a night fee for parking which is really expensive, pluss the 25$ the night resort fee (which we were lucky not to get, cause we complained and got out room downgraded so that we didn't have to pay the resort fee). But the extra fees come as a surprise. Over all: Clean hotel, nice pool area, but a little bit too far away from Miami center / south beach.

Recently we stayed in this hotel for July 4th weekend, the stuff were rude, the Gym open only 8am to 10pm, there is no cross walking to other side you have to run to pass busy road and it might makes your life in risk. The breakfast very expensive three people may cost $125 bucks! There no parking garage, they are overpriced $35 per night! Also they charged my credit card extra days of Valet parking, my credit card statement was different than final bill checkout! Expect to pay $27 resort fee per night. I do not recommend this hotel, its terrible.

Everything about this place is beautiful From the reception area to the polls to the beach and most importantly the rooms, everything is extremely clean and services beyond words, everyone is so kind and helpful in all the departments, The place itself is much nicer than all the pictures we saw online.

Overall great experience-areas of improvement: A) Inform guests when construction is taking place and offer something to compensate. Back of hotel was being worked on. TV was affected-had limited access to stations for a day or two B) Staff "manning" the beach area should pick up and rake through sand area in evening and morning. Waded through plastic straws, cups, sugar packets, bottle tops etc. We were visiting during a very slow time yet dozens of cigarette butts on grounds near or on sidewalks. C) No folder of information about hotel offerings and. Tv site needs to be updated about area restaurants and bakeries etc. Many out of business — still had Easter information — over a month later. Staff friendly and helpful, pools great, reception area lovely, restaurant pricey but adequate.

Fabulous hotel with large comfortable room with 2 terraces, with outside seating. The inside is beautiful, decorated with great taste. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant serves tasteful dishes at reasonable prices. The rooftop pool and bar is a big plus as is the semi private beach.

These guys put charges on my card without even staying there be careful when booking here use cash only.

The worth service I ever experienced in a 4 or 5 start hotel. I needed extra towels to my room and I had to wait 2 hours and to make 5 calls before they brought it. My room was never cleaned and only after I asked for it 3 times they came to clean it at 11PM. The breakfast was horrible, I ordered two eggs over easy and it was over cooked and burned. Horrible Horrible experience. Don't get fooled by the cheap rates. You will be charges for the beach services. Stay away from this hotel.
