Staff was so attentive and warm! Rosa and Maria went above and beyond to accommodate and help. Rooms are comfortable, clean and chic. The bar is open until late, breakfast is good and plentiful, there’s an outdoor courtyard, a small pool, a street-side a la carte restaurant and the beach is almost literally across the street. Add to that all that South Beach has to offer just steps away and you have a winner.

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff and excellent restaurant. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Very happy with everything. The hotel room is big, clean and have a comfy king-size bed. We would love to stay at the same hotel if we come back to South Beach.

This hotel was the best hotel I've stayed at in my times of visiting South Beach. Right across the beach along with being close to the Ocean Drive strip but away from the craziness that happens at night. Awesome hotel staff from the front desk to the bartenders, to the greeters when you walk up to the door. They offered beach towels as well as beach chairs to use when you wanted to go to the beach. The room was a good size for us and the shower was everything. I plan on staying with this hotel again the next time we visit SoBe.

Great location and lovely rooms. Very comfortable and spacious. Had a great night here. One little downside is the restaurant underneath being very very pushy trying to get you to eat/drink. It didn't put us off as we did eat there and had a really lovely lunch but could put some other people off. Food was fantastic though.

Perfect for the price and close to the beach yet far enough away from the madness… Walk 3 blocks and you're in the heart of South Beach. Don't let the small pool fool you… It's perfect and never busy.

Super comfortable bed as usual with Room Mate hotels! Cheerful attentive professionals too! Armando was the best! Bathroom too small though. Great morning yoga on the beach for free. Very good breakfast buffet. Very near the beach but no views. You must pay beach resort anyway so do make sure you use it!

Beautiful well kept boutique hotel. All staff were pleasant & attentive, at front desk & at the on-site restaurant "Salt. The food was well prepared, good menu options. Great stay for a weekend stay-cation.

Rooms are way too small, washrooms are very crampy with no AC vent inside. The water pressure was well, very little. The staff at front desk and the restaurant were very nice and friendly, but if you smoke you will be put in the back of the Hotel where there is no view just isolation. Over all if your 100 lbs or less the rooms are good for you if your not well then your just going to have to use the lobby washroom. The location was great though.

I have only one complaint. We were on the 2nd floor and it sounded like King Kong was in the room directly above us. We heard EVERY step. The ceiling squeeked and it traveled all the way into the walls. They woke us up both days at 5am and we couldn't fall back asleep until they left or stopped walking around. Other than that, the staff was super friendly and the food was delicious. The view could have been better, as we were in the back of the building overlooking the alley, but for what we paid being that close to the beach it didn't bother us.

Very very good choice. Spacious and comfortable rooms, modern decor, excellent location. The staff were very friendly and the room was very good and the hotel was very nice and the location was great. The. Weekends and for specific dates, the surroundings are full of people.

Excellent service with all the staff honestly interested in making sure your accommodations are the best. We had A/C problem the first night; could happen anywhere. They had maintenance that evening, then had HVAC repair the next day. The front desk manager, Eric, did everything to accommodate us. Renaldo, the night manager made sure the issue was addressed once HVAC expert came in next a. M. The only other hotel with the experienced training, customer service like this is at The Hotel or Hilton Bentley. The room is sweet! Great bed, clean, roomy, excellent house keeping.

Stayed here. Cute hotel walking distance to beach, (across the street). Restaurant on premises. The food was delicious. Nice bar. I would return, but I would take a second floor room. Very noisy!

Found a good deal here when I visited Miami Beach. It’s been a while but I want to say I snagged it for just over $100/night. Good deal given the area. The location is excellent and very walkable to everything you’d reasonably want to walk to. The beach is close, the restaurants are close, and there are some shops close as well. The room was fine. It wasn’t huge but that didn’t bother me at all since I spent very little time in the room.

My fiance and I booked a room at this hotel for two nights. The cost and location was acceptable. The first night, we could not sleep due to all the noise coming from the guest next door and two doors down the hallway. It was very noisy and irritating. The second night was a lil better. We didn't sleep well either night. The bedroom was small as well as the bathriom /shower area. The personnel at the check in/out were very pleasant.

Awesome location. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms (but small by American standards). The street side seating is a hookah bar which was surprising. Smoke was a distraction. Top bed covering was worn and not as clean as we would like. In spite of a resort charge you are still very strongly encouraged to tip for your beach chairs.

I stayed here in October for my birthday. No complaints about the front desk or room… but watch your items and opt out of having the housekeeping tend to the room if you are away. Items were stolen from me… nothing extremely valuable, but mine nonetheless. And it happened the ONE time I was out of the room when housekeeping came. They will not do much about their thieving employees, so just keep an eye on your things.

Great service and location. Restaurant is not overly desirable. Bathrooms are a bit small. Corner then that, would stay again.

It is a place where you can rest well as in the small stay in which I found there I enjoyed it to the maximum as you can rest well happy happily.

Great location, cool decor, and friendly staff. I can tell you from experience that the fire alarm system works extremely well.

The hotel is small and cozy. The staff are very polite and friendly. Cleaning every day. The breakfasts are quite good. The hotel provided towels and sunbeds on the beach which is very convenient. If you want to be in 1 minute on the beach — you definitely need to stay here. There are a lot of cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. There was a slight under-management with the room's brochure, but the hotel management decided everything very quickly and positively. I definitely recommend it!

Great location, really unique and interesting decor! Exceptional staff and location, right across the street from the beach and just a block from the real Miami Beach bar scene — yet still very quite at night. One drawback that is no joke is the very small size of the toilet location. I’m a little fat, but just a normal level of overweight, and I barely fit into the little nook. Not any wiggle room. This might be dependent on the room you get as well.

I stayed many times, it's a quiet place close to lots of rest and shopping places with lots of deals. The hotel is quiet, not like other places in Miami Beach full of screaming people. And the gallery to the street is divine to sit down to have breakfast or a drink. I always come back.

Funky hotel with artsy decor, the rooms are small but clean and comfortable! We are one block from the beach and only a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of downtown Miami Beach. Perfect location! Everyone who works here is friendly and happy and I am so glad we decided to stay here!

Just enough room for two. By far one of the cleanest Boutique Hotels on South Beach. Definetly worth the money. Can't wait to go back, and can't wait until they open the new building. A must stay on SoBe. About 4 blocks from the center of the night life. Right across the street from the beach. There was a $9.99 a day resort fee for the beach chairs and umbrella. Our stay was still under $500 for a 3night stay on South Beach.

Loved this hotel. Close to everything without being in the loud areas. Very clean, great breakfast, coffee and kind staff I want to return asap.

Clean and modern design. The thing I can't get over is jack hammers 7am in the morning and the drink prices. They know people visiting stay out right?!? Why in the world would they jack hammer outside of guest`s rooms that early! Poor planning.

I go to this hotel each time I go to Miami Beach. Excellent location. Across the street from the very famous Miami Beach. Very nice staff. Small but very clean rooms. 5 min walk from the animated area so it's very calm.

The web site makes you thank that it is big hotel, but is very small. The rooms is very small, the bathrooms are hideous, and the smallest bathrooms I have ever seen. The location is great, and it is a little away from the crazy area. And the beach access is great. In general, for well travelled this place is a dump. The only exception is the staff, who are excellent and friendly. The two Russian girls who would bring your food and drink orders to the beach are kind of fresh breath to this place. After all I give the staff five star.

Great location, really cute and modern. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The only thing was it was loud and the room was hot and I had the air all the way down. The way the hotel is you can hear everything and every move that's going on so I didnt sleep. Hopefully that was only because the construction outside. There was a noise that sounded like a man snoring several times during the stay… we named him Larry.

Dirty Hotel! We had the sheets used, I asked for clean linens they only gave me one and I had to make the bed myself! Shame.

Nice and nice hotel. They saved however on the quality of the renovation. It's design but the soundproofing of the rooms is non-existent. At the time I write these words, I am in this hotel and can no longer sleep because my neighbor of the top makes the 100 not.

Good little hotel Nice clean updated rooms. Towels and beach service included. Spoke to the GM and they have plans to upgrade the Wi-Fi.

Was traveling from key West to west Virginia With pregnant wife… Checked in this property today in the evening… property is good with clean rooms not very spacious though… the air conditioning in my room no 218 was making noise… asked the front desk to get it fixed but what they could offer me was to change my room… tried 3 different rooms no 221, 223 and 316 all had the same issue… now struggling to sleep in room 221 with this terrible noise… later the front desk manager came to our room to check the issue… and he told us this is how the rooms are.

The hotel is a great place to stay — near the ocean, in the hussle of Miami beach. The breakfast was good enough. We also liked that we could take chaise-longues at the beach free (the local rental company had a contract with our hotel). The rooms were neat and tidy but not very spacious for two persons.
The other thing is that it's quite noisy being very close to the outdoor bars, restaurants, etc. But one should take into consideration this is Ocean Drive where night life is always very vibrant.

End of ocean drive (windy part of beach) due to condo right in front. They double charged my card and haven't released the funds and it's been 3 weeks! First room was the size of a closet and had bugs so they moved us to a suite at no charge. Friendly staff but a little pricey for what you get. Breakfast was mediocre as well.

Great little hotel near the end of Ocean Drive South Beach Miami. The staff was very accommodating. Close enough to the action without being in the middle of it. I would stay there again over any chain.

Possibly one of my favorite artsy hotels! You walk in and there are paintings hung all around. You check-in and get your keys. You walk into your room and you see this giant wallpaper with a giant king sized bed of fluff. Definitely, had a ton of fun in this hotel.

Good location with respect to the sea and to shopping malls and at the same time quiet and peaceful during bedtime. Good breakfast. This is a very nice hotel, they actually have some kind of design compare to the other hotels in the neighborhood. The rooms are a little small, but it's one of a few hotels in South Beach that offers double beds. They offer free beach towels and beach umbrellas for guests, which is a huge plus.

First and foremost — great location. Just close enough to all the spots without the noise or hassle. The staff is extremely helpful and accomodating. The concierge is superb and will not steer you wrong. Great service all around, from the front desk to maintenance. Will come back to stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is a gem, perfectly placed on the quiet end of Ocean Drive a few blocks from the action and walking distance to Nikki Beach. The staff were super friendly, the rooms are big with awesome modern/contemporary art murals on the walls. If you are for Art Basel or Miami's Winter Music Conference it is the perfect location to be away but a short cab ride to all the action. The artwork varies in the lobby area and the Lord Balfour gets in to the contemporary modern art vibe of Art Basel. So while at breakfast check out the art in the common areas! I loved this place and would have no hesitation in recommending it or staying there again.

The Hotel is the Hammer. Rooms are stylish, clean, and the Better are extremely comfortable. The showers are so-called rainfall showerheads, they are so Horny that you no longer want to get out. Bathrobes are also available. 3 mins from the beach — perfect. The staff is very friendly and the whole Hotel is free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The Zmorgen is also very good.

Excellent hotel, small, intimate, with remarkable taste in modern art. Serviced beach 100 meters away from the hotel, and although in southbeach, away from noise of the night, but only 2 blocks of fuck!. All services. It has no pool (but this sea! ) mejoraria slightly the breakfast, but it's all good. I was 7 days and everyting. Complicated to go with car, because parking there is expensive. I recommend walking 2 or 3 blocks up to Michigan and 4, where the parking is much cheaper that collins and the 4 (15 or 18 against 20 or 25) but even so these in SOUTHBEACH! and worth it! do not probe the food service.

A definite four star hotel. Well groomed, clean, and helpful staff. Not bad for $200 a night. Well accommodated rooms, and comfortable beds. Would return on next visit.

Lord Balfour is great art deco hotel. Beautiful redesign, super friendly staff, and great location. Near enough to the craziness of South Beach, but quiet at their block of the road. The beach accommodations are great too.

Just next to the Nightlife of Ocean Drive. Far enough to be at quiet when you want to relax ; and close enough to get there by foot in a few minutes (5 to 10) ; hotel easily accessible by car => Very good location! Great hotel, good rooms, Good service ; and a fair price for Miami Beach.

Ducked in for a film industry networking gig and was very impressed with the lobby lounge, patio, bar, event, decor, and service! Admittedly I was only there for an hour or so of small and shop talk, and some cocktails, but the drinks we great and I loved the decor in the lobby. Very cool! The service was excellent and the cocktails were fresh and inspired. I will be back as a hotel guest, soon, revised review to follow. Cabeza OUT.
