So I did a reservation on this hotel but for the COVID I haven’t travel so far for my own safety so when u called the hotel to try to move my reservation to another date the manager Luna told me I lost my reservation so lost almost 300 dollars
The hotels should understand that if we’re not traveling is for safety and no because we don’t wanna travel, we’re trying to support businesses I was trying just to keep my reservation and travel later an a different date but they didn’t let me
businesses should help their customers also
So disappointed if this hotel and of the staff of the hotel Luna is not a good manager at all for how she treats her customers the way she talked to me was the worst!
I’ll never reserve on this hotel never again…

I recommend the hotel for the location, and for a short stay. The pros: the location is great! Right on the beach and across the street from Bal Harbour shopping and restaurants (the reason I chose this hotel). The lobby is beautiful. The bartender outside was great. My husband and I took advantage of getting 2 beach loungers, which were nice (note — the loungers are packed up at 5). Not only is the hotel on the beach, but there are trails for walking/jogging, biking, pet walking right between the hotel and the beach. This way, walkers don’t have to walk on thick sand and beach goers don’t have walkers walking in front of them.
The bed was very comfortable, with soft pillows. The bedding seemed very clean. There was also a walk-in closet, which was nice.
The cons: the room is small, which is one reason I say it’s good for a short stay (a night or 2), as you might go stir crazy after too long.
There was a stain on the carpet, but it wasn’t a wet stain or smelly stain, just a weird stain.
The pool’s water level seemed low. It’s a great pool for swimming laps, but not really a “fun” pool.
When we checked in, our room wasn’t ready, but the desk attendant was very nice and tried to help us out by having us leave our luggage with the concierge, but he was nowhere to be found! So the helpful desk clerk took our bags for us while we sat at the pool bar.

The rooms could use some updates, but overall pretty good. The bartender was Outstanding and the guys at the pool cabana were outstanding as well.

A beautiful place, but the staff didn't go to work in such a nice place. I'm tasted, breakfast was served 5days the same menu.

Went with some friends for a day at the beach rented a cabana every thing comes with a tip attached even though it didn’t say it. Pool closed at 5pm the time we wanted to go in. Wanted to make sure if it was worth it to go for a big Reunion in August. I decided to pass this hotel Don’t recommend for my liking there’s much better places with better service.

Stayed here the last week in March. The facility itself is very nice. The location is absolutely spot on. Housekeeping was very good. However, beyond Housekeeping, the rest of the services were deplorable. We tried eating breakfast every morning in the restaurant. The service from the two gentlemen that were working was horrid. They stood and talked to each other the entire time. Two mornings in a row I went into the kitchen area to refill my own coffee cup. The second morning a manager intercepted me and asked me what I was doing. When I told her, she filled my cup for me. On the fourth morning, having had to eat inside and listen to the same two guys talk about social security and how one of them is behind on his rent, we gave up on the restaurant entirely. The toilet stopped flushing properly on the 3rd day. The maintenance guy spent 30 seconds on it — plunged it — and left. I went in and threw four panels of toilet paper in after he left and it took two flushes to get it down. The pool actually has hours — 9-5. Who puts hours on their outside pool at a "luxury hotel" in Miami? The long-term residents simply ignore the sign and swim laps before the pool opens. Everyone else is required to wait I guess. It's still 85 degrees at 5:00 p. M. And the sun doesn't go down for hours…
The manager gave us about a $20 discount (total) when we checked out.

I specifically care about cleanliness more than anything. This place hit the mark. Great sized room with 2 closets (not needed), soft comfy beds, Clean from lobby to the room. Pool was huge and again clean, I think it was 12 feet on the deep side! Spent a great time with fam. Location is about 20 min to south beach area and 5 min to sunny isles area. You would need a car to get around. Will go again.

The hotel itself is not the best on the block based on its appeal. The staff are asleep most of the time and when they are awake, here's where the pool staff comes in, they don't let you do anything in the pool area. No bringing in drinks, no bringing in food from the outside, no touching the rope in the pool, no loud music, only 2 chairs per room by the pool. Note that this was in the span of one hour. There is no respect when it comes to your things with the staff in the pool area. I am extremely displeased with the food as well in the hotels restaurant aside from taking 45 minutes for the food to get to the table, it tasted bland and without flavor as well as it being overpriced $12 for four slices of a small quesadilla is too much. $16 for mini cheese burger sliders is too much. If there was an option for zero stars I would ask Google to implement a negative system in the ratings. (-3) clean the pool, instead of watching me!

I would have to say that this hotel isnt as bad as I thought it was from the beggining. The service was great overall;they were nice and treated us like family. We bad to go to a different because the first was not up to the standards, but that was okay. It is never crowded at the pool or on the beach which is excellent. Food is good. Just a good experience overall.

Check in took forever. The rooms aren't the best, clean but not modern as the website says. Everything is pretty old. Construction is going on right now. So, if you want to relax in the room or at the pool with a drill sound then that's the hotel for you ( ( (Otherwise, it's not that fun. They do have a bar near the pool but there's no one working there. If you'd want a drink, you'd have to go look for a person who suppose to be there. Don't know who manages the place, but they are doing a bad job.

Just left from my 2nd visit to The Sea View. It’s my fav place to stay in Miami Beach. Affordable “luxury” in Bal Harbour and close enough to get anywhere you want to go. If it’s not right, the staff will work to make it right. Ask for my friend Enrique at the front desk, he will take good care of you!

Great heated pool. The rooms were clean and the lobby is nice. It's close to the high end mall in the area. Overall tho it's not the best place for young adults (35 and under) looking for a night out… its in a older area and it's a very different vibe from south beach. Also the beach access is nice but it's a very narrow beach. Also the hotel was not very diverse but staff were friendly.

First I am not a person difficult to please but our stay was supposed to be 4 nights and after 2 hours we were at the front desk stating we were out of there and to refund us in full. Our lunch was atrocious, (although our server was very nice and the only pleasant part of our 2 hours). No music at all at the pool, ok I can get over that but would enjoy some relaxing island music while at the pool on vacation. It sprinkled at 1:00 pm like it does everyday in south Florida for two minutes and the pool bar closed completely. Done for the day. I asked the pool staff for some water since bar was closed and was told where the drinking fountain was. So we decided to go down to the beach and pool attendant told us to just leave a personal item with towel to hold. There were maybe 6-8 people at the pool total. When we got to beach we were the only ones there not one beach chair was being used we went to claim 2 and the attendant at the beach said that we can’t have a pool chair and beach chair claimed at the same time. We looked around and said “no one is here” didn’t matter it’s policy. That was it — we were out of there. Full refund and hour later we checked in to a hotel that understands service and hospitality.

The location was great, beach front away from the chaos of the South Beach. They had a mix-up with our reservation, so they upgraded us to a great room with sea view. Hotel is very clean, has a pool and restaurant. Staff were very responsive. Not enough staff. The restaurant in the hotel was overpriced and the food was terrible. We were also not informed that breakfast was included in our stay and we ended up paying 65$ for a waffle and omelette for room service. Concierge didnt seem knowledgeable.

Excellent. The breakfast was very good. Spacious and very comfortable rooms, the pool with just the right temperature. Very friendly people, totally recommended.

The hotel is very nice but the front desk service has to be the worst I've ever experienced. The hotel charges for EVERYTHING! but you wouldn't know until you're already there to check in or like I was told if you read the small letters you would know. I Was charge $300 dollars over what it said online. Everyone in the front desk had a different story everytime I asked about all the extra charges that was being taken out of my account everyday. I was also told that everyone in the front desk has different task so sometimes a person may charge you and the other wouldn't know and would charge again couldn't believed the MANAGER really said that. Overcharges and front desk service RUINED the whole experience.

The hotel is comfortable, spacious, clean and very good location.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed at they charge for every little thing. They held a extra 200 dollars at check in which is a fee I didn't know about they charge 20 dollars a day for the pool and beach. Why isn't that included in the price? I paid almost 380 a night for just a room and attitude from staff I will never come here again this place is sad.

Beautiful lobby, old school charm. Wonderful pool and beach access. Check-in was confusing with resort fees not explained well by somebody that didn’t speak English well. No kids meals-not family friendly in this respect. The piano bar is wonderful and takes one back in time. Our room didn’t have a functioning fan, and the plumbing wasn’t the best but we received an ocean-view and balcony upgrade for this reason.

Quaint, Old Fashioned, Historic. A bit MiMo looking, especially pool area, but in a good way. More"basic" or old fashioned than newer, hip hotels, but that's what makes it stands out.

The star is for the excellent attention from the maintenance crew. This was — by far — — The worst hotel experience. For the price, you get: bad plumbing, full sound from the neighbors (crying baby included), and mildew scent.

Not sure about ins and outs of the hotel but the waitress and cooks in the outdoor restaurant were fantastic. She was very nice, made sure we were comfortable and accommodated lunch and breakfast for a group of 7. Thanks so much! Pool and cabanas outside are great as well. A+++ to the waitress and cook!

On its last legs, I suspect. Was probably once lovely, the plumbing all works, because it probably always did, but it's stuck in the fifties. Am sure it was once THE place to stay, but now — it's not. Nice 'mature' staff — lifts a bit near the entrance, meaning it might not be suitable to become an old-age home, but otherwise… And my balcony had no sun, due to a high-rise building adjacent. The sun disappeared from around the Pool too, at about 3pm, same cause. Bad building planning. Sorry, Sea View — disappointed in you. And without a car, we were a long way from anywhere except the Bal Harbour Shops — top-notch upscale shops only… but if the weather had behaved, maybe I wouldn't be moaning so much…

Traditional hotel very well located what needs a recycling because its facilities were in time.

Ideal place to go with small children, the staff is very friendly and the location excellent. We've returned and it's still just as beautiful.

It's an interesting experience, like going to a hotel 70 years ago. The people, the kind of service and facilities are old style. If you want a taste of traditional luxury is very nice. Beach and pool service is good.

Stayed there for 4 days staff was nice the only problems I had was the beach chairs came Friday no pool chairs at 9: am due to them being short staff. Saturday I was told the city shut down the pool chairs due to Hurricane Irma smh And then was told the pool chairs were included in the price with the beach chairs as well … Never stayed in a hotel where you paid for the pool chairs smh.

This is a classic hotel in bal harbour. If you're looking for over the top expense and a scene this is not it. If you're looking for a great beach and pool with nice rooms and an old school feel this is it. Highly recommend.

Right in the middle of Bal Harbor. Clean, friendly staff, large pool with cabana's and desent restaurant. Older building but updated nicely with big rooms.

If one were to heed the bad reviews one reads online, you'd probably never book this hotel. I am glad we didn't and I trusted my gut. I didn't regret it. Our flight was delayed so we landed pretty late and didn't get to the hotel till way past 12am. Tony was the staff on duty and he was super helpful. He gave us tips and when we said we were hungry, he gave us numbers to call for delivery. The room itself was beyond what we expected. It was a delight to walk in from the Miami heat into a chilled room bigger than our master bedroom at home (and that's big! ) We had a cooking area and the view was nice too. We got what we paid for and more. King-size bed, fantastic TV selection and the breakfast the next day was just as wonderful. Tasha the amazing food and beverage manager runs an excellent team and she's super nice too. I loved sea view hotel and I do not regret staying there. Would definitely stay again. They have secured for themselves a repeat customer.

Beautiful, quiet beach. Room was spacious and clean. Everyone was friendly and courteous. There are many dining options within walking distance. Nice area for a quiet getaway.

The staff was awesome! Thank you so much for meeting my needs by allowing me to check in early for the wedding. They were so kind and friendly. My only complaint is that they don't have cooked meats for breakfast but the pancakes were fluffy and tasty. Overall, I'd definitely be back on my next visit. 20.00 per day parking vs. 50.00 at most places on the strip. Thanks again.

Location is nice and pool/beach was good. The food is horrible. $16 for "shrimp cocktail" that consisted of 4 small shrimp (think Red Lobster quality or worse). My wife had a quesadilla and found it to be disgusting. We paid the resort fee to get chairs/towels, but every transaction had an 18% service charge. I liked the charm of the place being older, but you can update the hotel and still keep the charm. Also, hire a new chef and offer better quality food if you're going to overcharge and add a service charge. We wont be coming back.

Beautiful hotel. Most staff are friendly and helpful except the ones at the breakfast from those just a very few are friendly. Others barely smile even when you ask something or don't greet before asking your name. Plus I think it's very annoying and unnecessary paying for parking and pool towel/chair. Parking because there were plenty of parking spots still left and towel/chair we didn't use everyday so why did we have to pay for everyday? No sense!

I felt cheated. In Booking offer Resort serve as extra, so I understood, as well as parking, or any other additional services, not included, only included if one requests it and uses it. Do not use the service of Resort, because not it wanted, and not was included, but to the make the check inn, me it claimed. The claim I made a Booking and they were responsible for. Last purchase a Booking. Last time in sea wiew miami or chain hotel.!

This lovely hotel, has the feeling of days of yore, quiet beachside hotel, where you feel you can still get your feet sandy, but so well maintained and beautiful inside. The guest rooms mostly face the ocean, and the view is breathtaking to wake up to each morning. Somehow, in the midst of busy, over-populated Miami, this hotel has found a way to make you feel that you are at a quiet seaside inn. Our stay was AMAZING… the complimentary breakfast every morning was delicious with a large variety of foods, the barside pool served amazing Mojitas, the umbrellas and chairs everyday on the ocean, the staff that makes sure every wish is met… could not have had A BETTER stay ANYWHERE in Miami… so very delighted we chose the Sea View. DON'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This was the best hotel I've ever been to. I had an amazing experience at the Sea View! Beautiful, old hotel. The view is incredible. Very convenient location. Everything is clean and well-kept. I don't want to leave! The staff was extremely friendly and courteous, even going out of their way to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The pool and beach service were very accommodating. Even when it rained, I was not bored here as there is so much to do within the hotel itself. I've never written a review before, but I work in the service industry myself and am very particular. This place blew me away. Whenever you get the chance, stay at the Sea View. I can't wait to come back.

Could not have asked for a better stay. Perfect hotel if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation. Very close to Bal Habour shopping mall. Walking distance from many restaurants and CVS. Room service comes twice a day. Our room came with a fridge and small walk in closet. Free breakfast before 11am. Ricardo and Gerri are the two best waitor / waitress there. Gorgeous pool. Most rooms have a balcony. Twenty dollar a day resort fee but worth it if you go by the beach every day! I would recommend this place to anyone and plan on staying there again next year!

I selected a room with balcony a ocean view and paid extra for it and they did not honored it. Rooms are old and smell bad. They charge for every single thing which is fine if they had a good service. Their customer service is the worst specially the people that work at night. Also the restaurant service was horrible. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room was clean. That's about it. Room at check in not ready. Hallway smelled. Actually located in Bal Harbor, a seven block strip of beach. No styrofoam on beach. No coolers allowed on premises or beach. Beach closes at 5. Complimentary breakfast the waiter orders for you. Security goes into rooms before even checking out. Parking and resort fee $20.00 each a day. If you want to have fun do not stay in Bal Harbor.

Excellent hotel, with a privileged location in Bal Harbour, overlooking the sea and Bal Harbour Shops. Spacious rooms, finely decorated. The hotel is modernized, very good restoration and personalized attention. Free Wi Fi, excellent parking facilities.

Conservative family oriented hotel. Modest attire and behavior on the beach. Perfect for a Mom/daughter trip. Very nice room and hotel on the beach. Walking distance to Shops at Bal Harbour for food and very expensive clothes! St. Regis under construction during my visit. Only negative. Hotel restaurant food was too $$$ and not very good.

Yes yes yes sewage smell everywhere. Except the inside of the rooms. My travel agent book this hotel as a free 7day stay me and my husband are SO DISAPPOINTED. We traveled from GA 10hr drive get here at 6am their like "oh you have to put a credit or debit card for extra charges in case you use the phone, parking, the diner, or the pool" I'm like hold up YOU GUYS CHARGE FOR THE POOL? WTF I have never heard guest charging to go to the pool then the manager states " well they give you towels and lay mats out for your chair it cost $5.37 a day or soemthing like that" I told him no thank you I wont be using your pool. So I ask how much parking he says $21.00 a day we put a debit card up and thats the only thing we paid for. Get to the room I didnt get a oceanview so when we ask to switch rooms they only have partial views that sucks so I stay where I was then my husband discover they don't have a microwave like? WTH I suppose to warm my food in. The next morning I ask for complimentary breakfast they dont even have that you have to go to the diner and pay for breakfast HORRIBLE. My husband and I went to the LL (lower level) you can smell the sewage even more this place does not have a jacuzzi or nothing Ive had better stays at comfort inns or other hotels associate with them. We are neva eva eva eva coming here again.

This is a good place to stop in if you need a quick and competent tailor, but whenever I make the mistake of bringing shirts in for pressing/dry cleaning they come back with broken buttons.
