The room was nice and clean. Bed and pillows felt amazing. Unfortunately, the heated pool was closed. The valet cost more than near by parking, but the guys are super nice, and they worked to move fast even in the rain. The valet fee is only once per day. They do have bellman that bring your luggage to your room, no tip required is what they say, but I do have a conscious.

I had encountered the best bartender in the world! She had a phenomenal personality and the service was impeccable. Let's talk about food: Debra (bartender) was knowledgeable about their food and she suggested "Blue Crab Cakes", needless to say it was to die for! The next day, I decided to order something that was specific to room service only but she told me; " no problem, I can ask our chef to make it for you… " That level of service, is what made me write this review.

Overall a decent hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It was disappointing that the pool was closed and we were not informed prior to our arrival or during check in. While talking to other guest we were informed the staff was suggesting people to to the Y if they want to go for a swim. The surrounding areas are pretty desolate and there was not a lot to do within walking distance. The Landing area was good for grabbing food and a drink. We were in town for a concert at Daily's Place Amphitheater and we were easily able to walk to and from (although hotel staff advised against it). Guest room were well maintained, however we did find lipstick on one glass. We stayed for 3 nights and one day we were missed for housecleaning. When I reported it to house keeping they quickly sent up fresh towels etc. And apologized. Hotel needs to sort out there pool issues and do a better job of communicating it to guest and perhaps provide alternatives or list near by beaches to cool off at.

The room itself was fine. Nothing special, but it was taken care of. The restaurant was in general, very good. The front desk service was… okay. The room: two beds, a desk, a lounge chair, tv, and a bathroom. And it was clean. The restaurant: Truly great burgers and fries! The lunch buffet was also super good. I highly recommend these. I went to the bar for some wings and to watch a basketball game at night. It took 45 minutes for someone to take my order, but the wings came out exceptionally fast. My glass of water was never refilled. Not once. Honestly, I chalk the bar experience up the the waiter, not the restaurant itself. The front desk: Most of the employees were very nice. I've got nothing bad to say about them, as I found them to be a accommodating as they could be. The issue: My work paid for 5 rooms back in March. We showed up at the end of May and were told we hadn't paid yet. We had to have our work send the copies of the receipt. Once that was cleared up they said we needed to pay the taxes since we hadn't submitted a tax exempt form. We had, back when we paid in March. They put us in our rooms and told us not to worry, that they would contact our work and get the tax exempt info resent to them. When it came time to check out, they again tried to charge us the taxes. No one had actually called to do what they said they would do. When that was finally cleared up, we still ended up being DOUBLE CHARGED.

The Omni is a lovely Hotel. First the pros. : Attentive knowledgeable staff, are not only helpful they are friendly and respectful. The hotel itself is clean and attractive. As a woman traveling with my elderly Mother all the safety precautions impressed me. Cons: We made this reservation months ago, it would have been nice to know that pool was empty. I would have kept my reservation, though I could have packed lighter. Not a true con it was a shame to find the coffee bar was gone. Observations on accessibility. We stayed in a double accessibility room with roll in shower. First I have to say it was the best accessible bathroom I've come across in many years. The shower is well designed and comfortable. There are plentiful grab bars where needed. The best part being I was actually able to use the sink and mirror. The bedroom area was spacious with only minor issues. In closing, yes we'll be staying here again.

I stayed here during my graduate residency experience. All staff were very accommodating and pleasant. However, for the price paid I would prefer shower rods are thoroughly cleaned. I did a quick clean over (as I always do) and wiped down the room and bathroom. The shower rod was dusty. Soap dish had residue on it. I just wiped it out. The iron had residue on it. I called guest services and I was sent another clean, gleaming iron right away. Therefore, I rated a 9 in this area. The quality of food was exceptional. However, I rated a 9 in this area also as it would have been nice to have a full course meal with dessert. The beds are graciously comfortable with complementing pillows, television offers basic plus on demand options, and the in room mini bar is convenient. If someone were interested in staying in a higher end hotel I would definitely recommend the Omni.

Worst stay at a hotel I have ever experienced! Food was inadequately prepared in that there was not enough portions for every member of our group to have one. Housekeeping forgot to refresh the linens & toiletries on a regular basis. Mini bar was never restocked in over a week. Had to continuously ask for water. Internet service is horrible and only worked on one of my electronic devices. Bedding is an absolute disgrace for the price of the room. There are NO comforters or nice blankets on the bed. You get a thin hospital blanket sandwiched between two flat sheets! Really? Unacceptable IMO for a place that advertises "Contemporary 'luxury' and posh hotel" with a $200+ price tag per night! Do yourself a favor and book the Hyatt which is a block away or maybe even reserve a park bench on the riverfront!

Staff is very friendly. Check in and check out easy. However, the hotel is quite dated, rooms need some work, hotel has a bit of an "old" smell to it. For roughly $160-$180 a night, I expect more. This would be acceptable if the price for the stay was closer to $85-$100/night.

Great service. From arrival to departure the staff was awesome. The restaurant was also great. The management and the staff was attentive and good at customer service. Thanks for the great service everyone.

Good hotel in excellent location. We have stayed here several times due to its excellent location, pleasant amenities and reasonable prices. The Omni is located across the street from the Times Union Center and is the ideal place to stay when seeing a performance there. It is also less than a block from Jacksonville Landing and the river. Some of the rooms offer a nice river view — usually cost slightly more, but worth it if you are spending much time in the room. The hotel is a little older, but is in good shape and the rooms are clean, pleasant and spacious. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows are a little to soft for my tastes. There is no hotel parking lot, but there is a ground level paid lot and parking garage adjacent. Neither cost too much. Wi-fi is not free unless you are a member of the reward club.

From the arrival to the departure, the staff were always on point. The valet, bell hop, front desk, room service, restaurant staff were all cheerful and accommodating. The staff listens carefully to your requests and they get the responses right the first time. I wanted a nice quiet relaxing room where I could rest without hearing the outside world and that is exactly what I received. I left well rested after an enjoyable stay. After comparing several different hotel options, for the value this was the best pick. Would I stay here again? Absolutely.

The only place to stay in my book! Very nice hotel full service. The staff always make you feel like home there. The food is also very very good not typical hotel food. This place is class all the way.

We went ahead and just did the buffet and WOW! The food was fantastic and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Mimosas were bottomless and plentiful. I left so full and a full day later am still having a hard time eating a full meal. You don't have to be a glutton like we were but it's hard to stop when everything looks so good.

Nice hotel. The receptionist was very helpful. Very nice bed and almuadas. The only bad experience was with the manager of the restaurant. We arrived at the hotel without having dined. They were closing the restaurant at night and they couldn't accommodate us. Understood. He told us we could order food at the bar. When I told her that there were no acientos available she gave me apologies several times but did not offer any assistance. My husband and I found a table just outside the entrance to the restaurant. She saw us there but we had to go in search of a waiter because they didn't come to take our order. The waiter was very attentive but the being ignored by the manager is not the level of service we expect from an Omni. When we return to Jacksonville next year we will consider the Hyatt.

I recommend this hotel often when I pick up clients from the airport and overall they are rather satisfied. However, they don’t seem to like the attitudes of some of the valet crew. Many of my clients wish that they would greet them or offer assistance while they are entering the building with luggage. Plus I have witness one member of the valet crew get a little snappy with shuttle drivers when they are trying to leave the location.

Didn't like. Expected more from an Omni hotel. It was more like a Hampton inn. Food was blah. The best part was the bar staff who recommended other places for us to go eat and drink. Good on them!

We held our annual sales meeting here for the 2nd year in a row. It’s convenient to our office & the airport. The accommodations were adequate & clean. The meeting area was clean & spacious. We used a local AV company & all went without a hitch. Staff was pleasing & met our needs. Overall, the food was hit or miss … it was unremarkable.

Very nice facility. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. My family and I will definitely come back for future stay when we are back in Jacksonville. I would definitely recommend the Omni Hotel. Awesome place to stay!

We loved our stay at the Omni in Jacksonville. Staff was extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. Our room was clean and inviting. Everything worked! Our dinner at Juliette's was fantastic and our morning buffet perfect. We have stayed at many resorts and five-star hotels and The Omni was right up there. Thank you!

The bathrooms are nasty. Mold in the tiles and grime everywhere. The breakfast at the buffet was the worst food my husband and I have EVER had. We personally have had a Quality Inn have better food. Super drafty rooms. Parking is $20 a day! Even though you are already paying $180+ a night for your stay. The staff is very friendly. That is about all of the positives… we were to stay 4 nights, We left on our second day… we will NEVER recommend this place nor be back! PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Was there for our anniversary, just so happened to coincide with the bowl game. Staff sent us a treat and a card. First time we've ever had a staff give us a gift. We know the staff was super busy, but to take the time, energy, and thoughtfulness to go above and beyond. We will be back!

No microwave to make food, have to request microwave before you even check in?! Looks fancy, but I got my money back and went to a cheaper hotel that had a microwave and fridge in the room. Cost about 20$ bucks less too. Basically the place is all flashy looking but didn't have a few basic things in it for the price.

Clean room with a nice view. Parking garage is $14 every time you want to leave and come back. Unless you valet with the hotel for $20. When your on vacation with a lot of extra stuff in your vehicle not really what you want to have to do. Hotel is nice and staff were friendly.

Beautiful hotel in downtown Jacksonville with excellent customer service. The view from our room was breathtaking (highlights the best of Jacksonville) and the hotel is walking distance to restaurants and shoppes at the landing. I wish I stayed long enough to experience the brunch on Sunday, as I heard great things from it. Will definitely visit again and I recommend if you want a hotel on this side of town.

Reasonable price. Paid $100. Close to everything. Shopping Center has 2 min walk with restaurants. Go around the city by taxi boat to recommend! $10 per person.

I was hesistant to stay after reading some of the less than happy reviews. We went to a show at the Times Union and this was the perfect spot! So we held our breath. The staff are very nice and accommodating! We ordered room service and ate breakfast. The food was very good. I will stay again!

I was there for a professional event. The experience was okay. The hotel is immaculate. However I did encounter an issue where a couple of the conference rooms had a weird smell to them. But, otherwise it was fine. I cannot comment on the rooms themselves because I did not stay there.

Nice ambiance and very friendly staff. Not in a real kid friendly location though, especially if you plan on walking everywhere. With Jacksonville Landing literally steps away, it's a perfect place for singles or couples without children. We were put in a room that shares a door with a suite, and the results were terrible. Loud guests next door kept us up all night with no help from the staff. The downstairs restaurant and bar was really nice. Try the Champagne Cobbler mixed drink… its worth the price. Bar staff was very friendly.

The rooms are pretty nice, and always very clean. The staff are great, very friendly and helpful. They smile always. We will back here when we come back in Jacksonville. I will recommend it to my friends.

I came here because of the recent hurricane going on. It was last minute but I was able to bring my cat along so I didn't have to worry about being in my apartment. The staff are all friendly and even though it's crowded it still had buffet and friendly faces. The only downside was the room really didn't feel like a 5 star. It didn't have a microwave and I had to pay extra for anything really. I mean it's a nice, clean place with friendly staff and all but it's really not worth it.

Great location. Staff was helpful. Didn't think the stains on the pillows showed much attention to detail. The safe didn't work which was disappointing. Didn't appreciate the door in the fitness center to access the pool being locked my entire stay.

The lobby is super nice. Had great reviews online. But for being such a high grade hotel, they could have done a lot better. The sink gets stopped up after 30 seconds of running water, the trash in the room was still there from the last occupants! Never been to a hotel where the trash cans aren't empty (gross. ) The lobby on our floor also has a really funky smell. Was rather disappointed the more I walked up to my room. Nice pillows though, and a great room. Please don't skip out on the cleanliness next time! Not sure I'll stay at Omni again.

The hotel staff was very courteous and knowledgeable of the area. There is a really neat place just around the corner with some shopping centers and several restaurants/bars. The valet will help you get all of your bags up to your room. They have a 4th floor pool that's pretty decent and is open until 10pm. The rooms were very clean and modern and the mini fridge is stocked with an assortment of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink options.

My wife and I stayed at the Omni for a single night. The very ones I buy and the workers are well friendly. Breakfast was the best, we ate everything!

The top. S are very clean and are updated. Staff is friendly and helpful. Was there for a conference and the food was very good, and meeting spaces were also clean and updated. Overall a great place for a professional event.

My sister was staying there for Independence Day, so we watched the fireworks from the pool deck, which was a nice view. You have to use your key card to go up the elevator. It's a nice security feature, considering the area of town, but it was a little annoying when we were running late and didn't have a card on us. The room was nice and looked clean.

Decent full service hotel located near many good dining options. Hotel bar and restaurant are good as well but on the pricey side. Rooms are a good size with comfy beds but not enough power outets on both sides. Only valet parking available.

Great amenities, only seems like the soundproofing between rooms isn't really good. Other than that very nice!

Stayed at the Omni on Water St. Upon arrival at my room I found some cereal and bobby pins on the floor, which leads me to believe the room might not have been cleaned properly. Otherwise my stay has been top-notch so far. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Google, how about asking for a review after I've completed my stay instead of while I'm in the middle of it? So far though, it's been great. The staff is attentive and friendly. The rooms have been comfortable and clean. And the kitchen and restaurant staff have gone out of their way to accommodate my food allergies.
